Basically countries are the same as our world as much as they can be anyway, unless stated otherwise in this thread. Feel free to add an entry forthe country(ies) your character(s) come from or maybe just want to fill in some blank spaces. You can also add cities, realms, etc. just any location bearing relevance enough to deserve sn entry. Just submit entries in the thread below and I'll approve them and then add them.

Kingdom of Symphonia

XV_Kingdom.png

Symphonia occupies the same space as Great Britain on the map it does in our world only under new rule and its capital Neo Camelot(in pic above) sits where the Isle of Man should be. The kingdommis now returned to a monarchy that wields considerable power but still has a parliament that is representory of all it's provinces so everyone is represented. This nation is more accepting of the Supernatural and actually seeks to profit and gain power from it. Of course it has its fare share of problems with the Supernatural like dragons and witches much like in the good mythos of Camelot. The Kingdom has reverted to that kind of feudal medieval of style with some techno and modern aspects to it thanks to Ars Mundus.

Japan

Most of Japan's cities during World War III and when Ars Mundus came along it reverted closer to its feudal times, basically during the age of the samurai that's because warrior culture returned with the 2nd Rennaissance. This nation is accepting of the Supernatural and is a hot bed for it. In particular, Japan has become known as the origin of ki also called Fighting Spirit Energy. Japan is very isolated from the rest of the world at present still trading and all but not getting involved too much in foreign affairs. This is mostly because of all the conflict going on, for such a small country there's some pretty big fighting going on for different reasons.

China

A place that also reverted to its feudal times and has most of its cities destroyed during World War III. China is accepting of the Supernatural and is regarded as the origin of the use of Chi. However China is divided up by warlords who slip in and out of war with each other often but are pretty much at a stalemate. Not as much Supernatural activity goes on but dragons aren't uncommon in China.

Singapore

One of the few nation to survive relatively unscathed from the war, Singapore has risen to become an influential powerhouse in Asia, accepting almost all types of magic users including supernatural. Due to their hostile neutrality during the war, much of its government and people not only survived WWIII, but also came to be one of the origins of the 2nd Renaissance. It is considered one of the safest places in the region, upholding democracy and many old world values with it while adopting magic into the world. Since the end of the war, Singapore gained much economic and political influence in East and South East Asia as well as the Pacific. As one of the only major Asian powers to still maintain trade and contact with the western world, Singapore is seen as a gateway to the east. As the nation also has ambitions of power and profit, they view themselves as rivals of Symphonia. While it maintains an armed force to deal with Foreign and Supernatural threats, companies headquartered in the city often serve as its military and R&D might. With the backing of many companies, organizations, and a unified population, the government calls upon researchers and entrepreneurs to maintain Singapore and her place as a leader in different fields of magic.

The Empire of Britannia

wvx27a.png

The United States didn't stay so united after World War III and broke apart into five smaller nations, just like the regions of the US, all the way up to the recent resurgence of the Supernatural. Basically one of the smaller nations particularly the one that sat where the Midwest region of the US is began to conquer the other nations . That is because Britannia embraced the Supernatural immediately seeing the potential and used that to its advantage. Nowadays Britannia is known for being a Supernatural hot zone and for its research into Supernatural powers and creatures. It is unknown whether if Britannia plans to expand further but there are rumors that Britannia intends to take over all of North America.

Midgard

treejpg.jpg

Midgard includes all the Scandinavian countries(including Denmark and Iceland) and its name comes from their old mythology. This was another country largely unchanged prior to the resurgence of the Supernatural. Magic has taken quite the prominent role in Midgard which is a very isolated nation to begin wih despite its size. The seat of power is in Iceland which is where the King of Midgard rules from. Midgard is a country that has reverted more than possibly any other country in the world. Some say they abandoned all the modern stuff for a simpler life, but that is just a rumor. All that is known is that Midgard is a very hard place to invade that is also in possession of powerful magic. While some nations may dislike the Supernatural this is a nation that dislikes the modern.

Snowlands

Formerly known as Alaska, The Snowlands is home to the Frost People. Fair Pale skinned, and white haired, Much of the Frost Culture resembles that of the Nordic Folk of old, although their government is that of a republic. While some have taken to using Ars Mundus, Most tend to stick with their natural affinity to ice manipulation. Ever since the Fracturing of the Former United States, the Frost have taken upon using their inherent affinity to the cold to their advantage, thus creating the manifestation of the ability to create and manipulate Ice, Snow, and cold temperatures.

Even their bodies have gone through a dramatic metamorphosis, to which to most people would seem cosmetic, but to scientists baffles. Their core temperature is much lower, averaging at about 89.7 degrees F, allowing them to adapt to cold weather and climates with eases, some of them going so far to prove it by walking out into a snow storm stark ass naked and march 10 mile without showing signs of hypothermia.

With an industry of mining, Oil, Fishing, and Production of Timber and Steel, the Snowlands have prospered as a country with a strong military to boot. Most trade and ship traffic now comes through the City of Three Gates, Formerly Anchorage. The City got it's name from the three massive gates that span the inlet cutting off any and all sea based intruders. Being so defensible and is the largest city in the Snowlands, Three Gates is the capital and seat of power for the Imperator.

The Eurasian Federation

eurasia_flag_by_ghern0117-d3gmlnq.jpg

Formerly known as Russia, the Eurasian Federation is ruled by a dictator they refer to once more as the Tsar. This country doesn't have much supernatural activity aside from vampires, werewolves, and common creatures like those. This nation also rejected the use of Supernatural power and Ars Mundus choosing the science of the old age instead. The EF is known for Cybernetic and Bionic enhancements, even the basic soldiers of their military are cyborgs. They're also known for experimenting with mutations created genetically modified super soldiers. When it comes to science this nation basically grabbed all the scraps of pre World War III science and took it for themselves.

The Mediterranean Empire

Include all countries that border the Mediterranean sea except that portion of Neo Persia at the far east of it. This nation's seat of power is Rome and a few nations within the Empire are supernatural hot zones. This nation is an Ars Mundus using nation though the Supernatural is welcomed in this region of the world. The Mediterranean Empire hasn't for decades expressed the need to expand beyond its current holdings and has become more so an isolationist country. It has a Greco Roman culture to varying degrees with an emphasis of all things gold. This nation is known to have some of the best fighter in the world due being called the Gladiator Region for Gladiator fighting has come back into style in the Mediterranean Empire.

Neo Persia

persian-empire-11jpg_55ddada96a2dd.jpg

This basically includes all the Middle Eastern countries who united after global interests in these countried faded. The world moved on from Oil a longtime before WWIII which lead to the decline of all these nations. It wasn't until the Supernatural resurgence did these countries regain any prominence. Neo Persia became another supernatural hot zone but like the Mediterranean Empire its culture largely reverted to its ancient times counterpart. Neo Persia is also known for its delving into Chimeric research reportedly blending human and non human beings as well as turning humans into supernatural creatures through non supernatural means.

The Freelands

View attachment 250496

Once known as Texas, The Freelands were the site of massive battles during World War III and it eventually ground into a never ending stalemate to put trench warfare to shame. Eventually the fighting was put to an end by the many combatants covering the state in nuclear warheads. It was believed that there were no survivors and that all inhabitants died, but a few hardy folk survived. This would not be discovered for many years. The survivors would found many different tribes and these tribes would go on to feud over control of the wasteland, scavenging old world tech from the battlefield remains to fight with.

Around a hundred years after magic emerged, several supernatural groups banded together in an effort to found their own nation. Searching maps for a place to found their nation, they found a large stretch of land unclaimed by any major powers. Mainly because it was believed to be an irradiated wasteland. However the supernatural groups had enough capital to purchase gear to protect from the radiation and could construct cities protected from the elements. So finally believing that they had found a home, the creatures traveled to the wasteland. Unfortunately when they got there they were met by hostile natives, bearing crude but deadly weapons of a bygone age. Nevertheless the natives were fended off and the creatures forged onward. This was a mistake

Presented with a monstrous, hostile, foreign invader, the tribes set aside their differences and banded together to fight back. With overwhelming force, the tribes smashed the creatures and left their bodies crucified at the edges of the wasteland, as a warning to any who would trespass again. This battle was known to outsiders as "The Wasteland Massacre." After the battle was finished, the alliance of tribes disbanded to feud amongst themselves once again, with an agreement to once more band together if any invaded their lands.

Freelanders are regarded with fear and suspicion when sighted outside their lands, their reputation for savagery spread by the survivors of The Wasteland Massacre. They're trained from birth to shoot and ride horses. They and their horses wear full body metal suits and gas masks to protect from the elements, as well as each other. Because of this the rest of the world refers to them as "Tin Men." They only leave these suits within the safety of tribal homes within caves, so they are incredibly pale and their eyes unsuited to bare daylight, though they do have excellent night vision. The Freelands themselves are covered with scrap from the battles of World War 3, to the point that in places the ground isn't visible for miles. Freelanders are incredibly isolationist and will attack any trespasser on sight. Furthermore they are very anti-supernatural, with a deep hatred for any monsters. The only Ars Mundus users amongst the Freelanders are tribal shamans. When a Freelander rarely does leave The Freelands, they usually find work as mercenaries or criminal enforcers, their intimidating reputation a great asset.
