Brandon made his way down the long laboratory halls with Jack walking beside him chatting about god knows what. Jack tended to go off on long tangents about something or another and eventually Brandon began to tune out anything that wasn't too important.

Suddenly Brandon paused by a large window that over looked the A.I. Robot assembly lines. "What the hell are those Robots doing on the assembly lines?!" He shouted pointing in their direction. Jack was still on his tangent when Brandon suddenly interrupted him shouting something about the AIs. He turned to see what Brandon was pointing at. "Who issued it?! They aren't complete! Look at them!" Brandon continued and began making his way toward the assembly room.

Jack stood at the window a moment longer finally getting a glimpse at what Brandon was talking about. There were about ten different AIs that stood in the assembly lines who looked mostly human aside from their arms and legs and a headset which were clearly robotic. In fact it kind of made them look like cyborgs. "Brandon wait!" Jack called and turned to chase down his life long friend.

Brandon burst into the assembly line room and started shouting orders, "Stop the lines! Now!" He called at the workers and began walking down the lines pointing at the different robots, "Get those out of here! They are incomplete! What were you guys thinking?! We can't send these out!" As the workers began stopping the lines Jack came rushing over, "No no! Please continue the assembly! We have to get these shipments out on time." The workers paused looking confused while Jack shifted his attention to Brandon, "Didn't your father tell you? These are the new A.I. models. They were just released today." Brandon let out a frustrated sigh rubbing his temple as the lines continued their process once more. "My father never tells me anything."

He turned and began making his way back out of the room and Jack followed. "Just think.... machines living among people..... just for normal everyday use like a toaster." Brandon said as he stuffed his hands in his pockets. It was clear he was irritated, "They used to be more important than that and they had the potential to be more useful... but my father only saw potential wealth and chased it.... how sickening." Jack sighed and tried to cheer his friend up, "Hey they can still be improved and used for good! Besides I think it's cool they've been made so widely available. There's no telling who is and isn't a robot now! For all we know Professor Fritz could be one.... she seems rather void of compassion don't you think?" This gained a small chuckle and smirk from Brandon, "Speaking of Professor Fritz, we should probably get to class."

The two made their way out to a large parking garage and climbed into Brandon's Lamborghini Hover Car. With a press of a button the car started and smoothly lifted off the ground into the air; and with a swoosh the car was gone, soaring through the streets and skies of Ayrona. The city was already bustling with many other cars and bikes as the day began. People and machines rushing to school and work, trying to get their tasks for the day completed before curfew came around.

The Chief of Police in Ayrona sat in his office when the new A.I. arrived for Detective Hunt. He looked the bot over. This was one of the newest models programmed with the ability to track and hack. She also came equipped with her own communication device and other special features. Though she looked dainty he was guaranteed a capable and efficient A.I. Max Newton gave a heavy sigh and sat up in his chair, "Detective Hunt!! Your A.I. is here!" He called before settling back into his large padded chair to look over some case files. @Fenris @Scarlet Fires

A large van, with a strange logo associated with the Dr. Kurt and Waltz research team responsible for the AIs, pulled settled to a stop outside of an apartment addressed to someone named Oli. A man dressed in a black jump suit that also had the research logo printed on it stepped out of the van and slid the large back door open. He guided the A.I that was inside to the front door of the apartment and gave a quick knock before he returned to the van and left. The robot waited patiently for them to answer the door with a large smile on his face eager to meet his new companion. @Nudge

Alkaline had been in so many assembly lines in the past day than he had been in his entire existence. It was extremely boring but gave him a lot of time to think. He was put in a van with a few guards in black and off he went. He didn't know why he was an A.I. Too bad he couldn't just run off, but he would just get tracked down and actually be erased. He was 75% sure they had trackers on him. Was he just a tool to humans? He definitely didn't have any rights even though he was essentially a human in a robot body. He had opinions about stuff and maybe he' have goals and aspirations if he was allowed to experience stuff instead of being in some facility and passed from sick human to sick human. He did feel bad for the humans though which was sickening, but oh well. The van stopped and he was unloaded and walked up to the door. A man knocked on the door and left, leaving Alkaline on the doorstep like some package. He could take off right now if he wanted to. And then get caught and erased. Oh how the life of a robot was so fun and free.

@Whale

Scarlet stood in the office looking about curiously. She carefully observed the man who was looking her over, watching his every move and analyzing his features before looking back down at her own. Her robotic extremities had been covered up so she looked completely human for the time being, except for her headpiece; however the headpiece alone doesn't necessarily mean she is a robot. She noted that they also moved with the same fluid like motions; natural motions. In fact the only thing she saw that was different was that she was made in a lab and if you were to peel back her flesh you would find metal.

But Scarlet's train of thought was soon broken by the man shouting for someone named Detective Hunt. The robot looked to the door waiting for the new face to appear. She fixed her long brown hair making sure it wasn't out of place before moving on to pressing a few wrinkles out of her long shirt which covered her denim shorts. She wasn't sure why but she felt the need to be as presentable as possible. Maybe it was due to how closely the other man had been analyzing her. Nonetheless she had fixed what small and trivial flaws she found then continued to stand there patiently waiting with her eyes on the door. @HandsomeJack @Fenris

Ilydia stands on the sidewalk, looking up as she did countless times in awe. Once, the sidewalk would be bustling with people, the streets packed with cars, but now the sky was filled with flying cars, and the streets were almost empty, along with the sidewalks.

Once again, she considers her future. She couldn't go home. She would never go home, not yet. Living somewhere else was an option, but she enjoyed being in this city specifically...

A life of crime was an option she usually skipped over, but this time she seriously considered it. She wasn't very experienced at that kind of stuff, but if she started now, she could be someday, and eventually she wouldn't need to steal any more, of course at the expense of already stealing a lot. She shook her conscience off and thought about it from an outside perspective. "It would be better than living on the grid," she mutters. "For me," she adds.

Ilydia sighs and looks around, horizontally rather than up.

Tom just finished his report for CybSec Ltd. There were many holes in the security which Tom could easily exploit. He laughed after remembering the words

We believe our servers are the most secure.
Well, he proved them wrong in 45 different ways. He mailed his report to the CoO of CebSec Ltd. The next instant his mobile buzzed. He had a huge demand from many companies and industries. He had the skills to pull out bugs and vulnerabilities that people client even fathom of their existence. He looked at his phone. It was a new job.

"Let's see who we have here."

He grinned excitedly. The client was a Robots Manufacturing facility. The want him to pen-test their chip designing sector. After the tedious exploitations of 'boring' companies with a few exceptions, Tom finally got an interesting play area.

"Alright. Let me check their Terms and Conditions. If there's even one loophole, I'll use it as my ticket to playing with those robots of theirs."

He adjusted his glasses with his index finger. He began analysing the documents listed.....

Oli hummed as she gazed into the long mirror in her small bedroom. She had just finished going over how she felt today, deciding on being female for the time. She tweaked the red bow in her hair, signifying her choice of gender for the day to those who knew her. Padding into the living with only a bit of difficulty, she heard the doorbell ring. Must be the 'gift' her mother sent her. It was no secret Oli was having more and more trouble with walking and remembering things, although she did tell her mother to
not even think about it. Owning things with an actual conscience was not something she though was right. Oli was thinking of getting a service dog or something, not this.

Letting out a sigh, Oli let a bright smile come over her face. The deed was already done, and now she had someone who would rely on her, and her on them. Make the best of it. Making it to the door while only bumping into a few things was a bit hard, but she only knocked over one vase this time! Grabbing the handle, she opened the door of her small home, smiling all the while. Gazing at the blue haired AI, she greeted him heartily. "Hello there! I'm Olita, but you can call me Oli. I'm guessing your the AI, right?"

Brandon and Jack pulled into the Ayrona University parking lot and climbed out of the car. Brandon ignored the wonders of the campus as he made his way toward the labs. However Jack once again was looking at this and that becoming side tracked as he began chatting Brandon's ear off again. "Just think anyone here could be an A.I. and we wouldn't notice unless we saw them at headquarters! How amazing."

But as usual Brandon tuned it out. He and Jack had some different view points and he never really saw the point in getting into a debate about it. Besides Jack was always one to look at the brighter sides of things so the debate would be endless.

The two turned a corner and soon found themselves in a large white laboratory equipped with state of the art equipment. A few other students stood ready and waiting for class to begin as Ms. Fritz wrote their daily task on the board. "See, look at her face.... no expression what-so-ever.... she's a robot I'm telling you." Jack whispered to Brandon as they entered the room.

Davy smiled brilliantly at the person in front of him, "Yes! My name is Davy. It's a pleasure to meet you Oli!" He stuck out his hand for Oli to shake as he began to admire the bow on their head. "Thats quite a lovely bow by the way. Is your favourite colour red?" It was clear the blue haired AI was quite excited to be here and meeting someone. @Nudge

Johnathan had shown up early today at the chief's beckons. Of course that didn't mean the man with the big comfortable chair would see him immediately as actual cases and piles of paperwork preoccupied him. At least that's what the detective figured as he lazed about the office, taking sips of a Styrofoam cup that filled the area with the scent of hot coffee.

"Detective Hunt!! Your A.I. is here!" Pushing away some last nagging doubts about this course the blond hurried toward the Max Newtons office. Giving a curt knock he entered with a lively, “Mornin, sir!” before stopping in his tracks at the sight of an unfamiliar face starring at him. “Are you pulling my leg?” Johnathan cracked a grin, tilting his head a bit and circling around to the left to continue his inspection of the A.I. Resisting the urge to poke or force a reaction from the object of his current fascination. “I mean, I'm glad it's not a Terminator, but you might have gone a bit overboard for this whole new 'face of the force' thing... not that I'm complaining mind you.”

Finding it a bit difficult to pull his attention from the brown haired girl in the center of the room Johnathan did eventually manage to regain some composure and shoot his superior a questioning look. “Just get comfortable with the situation for now. I'm working on shuffling a case your way and counting on results when it does; from both of you. Don't botch this up! Until then continue with patrol duty.” The last part put a bit of a damper on the blonds mood though the prospect of a case certainly lifted his spirits.

“Err.. I'm Johnathan Hunt, detective for the APD. Come along now, please?” The blond asked Scarlet awkwardly, attempting to lead her out of the office building without causing too much of a ruckus. “Say do you like brunch?” the detectives question being fueled by the subtle reminder that a single coffee does little to replace meals.

@Scarlet Fires

"And that is why I don't like humans." Cord said, crossing his arms over his chest. Him and Eva were both engaged in a conversation about humanity as a whole, and Cord was on the opposing side of the argument. Eva, however, had vested interests in humans. She didn't know why she was so fascinated with organic beings but she liked them nonetheless. Cord seemed to despise the very existence of them. A casual run-of-the-mill talk became into a heated debate between Cord and Eva. Though it was a passive argument.

"So, it's because they made you kill other machines and humans in the Great War?" Eva asked, her antenna swiveling in recognition. Cord's single camera eye dilated a little when he replied.

"Yes. I know eventually we'll be assigned to a human, but we'll still find a way to meet up...right?"

Cord couldn't cope with the idea of Eva, his only friend, parting from him forever. He felt that they were a dying species, being sapient automatons and all.

"Of course, Dummy! We'll still meet up even if we are assigned! I won't ever part with my only pal!"

Eva embraced Cord and he reluctantly returned the favor with subtle nod.

"So. I guess we hang around until we get squared away with one of those meat-sacks..." Cord growled. Eva tugged on Cord's arm, her tail curling upward a little.

"Don't be so stubborn, Cord! I bet you'll get used to it within the first few weeks!"

"IF I get used to it..." Cord said reproachfully.

The brunette carefully watched the new person who entered the room as he began to inspect her as well. She felt rather strange with how people looked at her, like she was some sort of strange artifact. The AI understood she was made of different material but was she really that contradistinctive?

Suddenly the blonde man had spoke to her, introducing himself. He then asked her about something called brunch. Brunch..... there didn't seem to be anything in her programmed knowledge that told her what that was. "It's nice to meet you Mr. Hunt. My name is Scarlet Angel but you are welcome to call me Scarlet or Scar......" She then paused tilting her head a bit, "I'm afraid to say I'm not sure what brunch is. But I am willing to try it." Her voice was pleasant and there was nothing about it that suggested she was anything more than a normal human being. Her eyes looked human as well and she blinked despite the fact that it wasn't necessary for her to do so.

As if on cue a man in a black jumpsuit entered the room holding a clipboard. He looked down at the sheet of paper clipped to it and gave it a brief scan before speaking up, "CQB-MD-77 A.K.A Cord!" He called looking around the room at the AIs mingling with one another waiting to be assigned to a human. He waited a moment or two for a response and when none came her continued. "You have been assigned please come to reception to be prepared for delivery." Again the man waited for a response before he called out for the AI once again, "CQB-MD-77..... Cord! Please report to reception to be prepared for delivery you have been assigned!" @Noivern

“Hmm.. alright Scar, in that case you can call me John. Most people at the department do, just don't do it on official reports.” The blond remarked while fishing around his pockets for the car keys, finding a bit of his initial unease vanish after witnessing a rather natural behavior. For a long moment Johnathan wondered if it might just be easier to treat her like a regular newcomer, having little experience with AI he was about to ask her how it was usually done; but caught himself in the last second.

Why would he need to ask her? He was the senior detective here! Happy with his conclusion he nodded as much to himself as her and popped the drivers seat door. “That's the spirit. You'll see, a good brunch is a staple of being a good officer and Pauli makes the best!” He chuckled jamming the ignition and setting the older model sports car into a steady hum.

It only takes a few minutes of weaving through Ayrona early afternoon traffic to reach a small diner and John had been better than usual at keeping his cursing at fellow drivers to himself. “The place doesn't look like much, but its clean and the foods great.” The blond noted cheerfully before slipping into a booth and waving down a waitress, who's expression of recognition surely gave away the fact that Johnathan spent more time here than he should. Slipping a menu toward Scarlet he noted, “See if you can find something you like. And while your at it, do you have any experience with police work?”

The brunette robot let out a small laugh at his comment about the reports. She felt a bit more at ease now as she followed him out to his car. She paused for a moment looking at it. She couldn't help but note how strange it was that she and the car were in a way similar as well. Shaking the thought from her head she climbed into the car feeling rather off about her own existence.

Scarlet looked around once they reached the small diner, "I actually find the atmosphere rather pleasant here." She replied with a smile before sliding into the seat across from him. The AI looked down at the menu placed in front of her and was surprised to find they made everything in both human and synthetic versions. Still unsure of what she should get she turned her attention to John's question, "I actually don't have any police experience. I'm a completely new AI. New processor, new program, new model. However, I have been preprogrammed with excellent hacking skills, researching skills, and tracking skills." The brunette replied matter-of-factly.

Oli's smile became wider. At least this AI, Davy, was nice. Oli may have been expecting a bit less personality. She raised both her hands to clasp Davy's extended hand, shaking it up and down enthusiastically. "Pleasure to meet you too!" At the mention of her bow, she touched the edge of it, almost self-consciously. "Thank you, and yes, red is one of my favorite colours. Hey, how about you come in? I'm sure we have lots of things to discuss." Stepping back, opened her door wider, gesturing inside.

The inside of her home was pretty clean, with not much furniture. A maroon couch, a couple pictures hanging on the walls that Oli painted herself, a small TV, and a small kitchen and table. Oli didn't like to keep much around, as it got in her way of stumbling around. In fact, the most common thing around was the random bean bags scattered on the floor, where kids would sit on and watch movies, since Oli sometimes babysat kids at home.

"Sorry for the mess," Oli gestured to the bean bags."I had some kids over yesterday and didn't clean up. Please, make yourself at home."

(Sorry, been busy!)

"That's my curtain call."

Cord said, turning his head at Eva. A small frown pulled Eva's lips and she nodded quietly. "So, see you around?" She asked, her green eyes full of uncertainty. Cord stared at her for some time until he shook her hand and departed.

"See you around, kid." He said in a happy but slightly sad tone. No matter what, he would find a way to get back to Eva sooner or later. Eva waved and lowered her head once she saw Cord disappear behind a doorframe. She wanted to break into a run and follow cord wherever he went but she knew she would get punished for doing so. So she swallowed her pride and held her head up high, for she knew Cord never broke his word.

Ilydia sighs, and looks around once more. It couldn't hurt, she thinks. She knows it sure could, but... She didn't mind.

"Red is a lovely color. It suits you." Davy replied sweetly as he cautiously stepped into the house, "And no worries I don't mind it. In fact if you would like I can help clean up." The robot offered with a smile looking around. "You have a nice home, its very quaint." @Nudge

The female receptionist looked up as Cord approached the desk. "Ah Cord correct? Welcome. You have been assign to a Mr. Tom Iora. If you would kindly step into these vehicle here we will have you delivered to his home at once." She stood making her way over the the black van used for transporting AIs to their new homes. @Noivern

"Very well..." He said with a feigned obedience. He stepped inside the cab of the vehicle and buckled himself in. He had rarely been in any vehicles, so this was a new experience. He hated it still. Something just didn't feel right, like he felt different when Eva wasn't nearby. He disregarded this strange vibe and went with this whole operation.

---

Eva looked around as she saw other AIs being transported elsewhere. It only was a matter of time before she was picked.

Ilydia sighs and begins to head "home". She knew her rent was due in a couple of days, and then she'd have enough to scrape through another week, then... then what? She knew she wouldn't be able to pay the money after she'd... Again, the idea of criminality sprung up. She hits the side of her head in frustration. She was letting distress make her think unorganized, pointless thoughts, and she didn't want to. Tears sprung to her eyes, but she forced them down. You're going to need to be able to think about things like this more often, she tells herself. Suck it up. She sighs, and manages a mostly genuine smile. And then heads "home".

Although the class was long Brandon found every bit of it interesting. However, half way through class Brandon received a text from his father and he couldn't be more irritated with it's contents. With his anger and frustrations with his father anew, Brandon spent the drive back to headquarters rather silent. Well at least til Jack got sick of it.

"What's the matter Brandon? Ever since you got a text in class you've been in a sour mood. Not that you usually aren't in one...." Jack questioned his friend. Now that he thought about it Brandon rarely was in a good mood. Ever since his sister... and his then his father's universal release of the AIs. Would nothing cheer the guy up again?

Brandon gave an irritated reply, "My father has decided it would be best for me to spend some time around an AI..... so he has assigned one to me.... It's waiting at headquarters." Brandon paused for a moment as the pulled into the parking garage. It had filled up quite a bit since they left earlier that morning. After finding a parking space Brandon continued, "That Idiot! He knows how I feel about the whole thing yet he is still trying to force his ways into my life style!...." He exited the car slamming the door behind him as he made his way into the building with Jack trailing behind him. @Lima

The man in the back jumpsuit returned to the room once again with his clipboard,
"Sorry everyone it appears I missed someone. Eva Elizabeth you have also been assigned! Please report to the reception desk." He called out into the room. It's a good thing he managed to catch it before the van departed. The delivery would've been late and it would've been his job on the line over it. "Eva Elizabeth please report to the reception desk you have been assigned." He called once more. @Noivern

Johnathan tapped his fingers on the tabletop as he occasionally did when mulling things over. “New huh? That's actually kind of enviable...” he flashed a faint smile then added, “sounds like you have some useful skills, hopefully it won't be too long before we can put them to use. Until then...” the detective warmly greeted the waitress and put up his order.

Minutes later a rotund man with slightly graying hair made his way to their table carrying a platter heaped with various foods. When he reached the table with a great harumph he started into an animated, “Ah, detective Hunt and in company today..” John cut him short, “Why so formal? I don't think you've met my new partner, Scarlet. Scarlet, this is Pauli, the cook and owner.” The man wiped his hand on a apron before offering it to the brunette. “It's a pleasure.”

After the brief introduction a frown crossed his cherub face and he turned a bit more serious, “Formal business requires formal titles! Look I know your busy, but I swear someone is still messing with the backdoor. Can't you, you know investigate?” John was about to push it off again, promise to drop by during his patrol or such but between the cooks frown and perhaps trying to be a decent example he slowly nodded. “Alright, we'll take a look right after this.” The relief in Pauli's face was rather evident.

“That's why we're the good guys. And don't let the news or anyone tell you different, we help people.” Jonathan said waving his fork to accentuate the point before bringing it down on some scrambled eggs.

@Scarlet Fires

Tom gunned his Audi R8 towards Rotech Industries. He was curious and impatient about his new job.

Testing a robot manufacturing facility? Like I would stop there! I gotta try playing around with these robots. Let's see how 'secure' they are.

He thought to himself with a grin on his face. He drifted his R8 and stopped it exactly in the parking area. He activated a network sniffer on his R8. That would log all the data available from the nearby automobiles.

He stepped outside and walked towards the entrance. The surveillance system looked impressive. The guard stopped him and asked him for a permit. While showing him his identification card, he thought to himself,

Still maintaining human guards huh? Good job. They cannot be hacked... not in the conventional way at least.

The guard acknowledged his id. After a series of security checks like retina and fingerprint scanning, the metal door opened.

"Take the third left and head to the second floor. Mr. Patrick will accompany you from there to the chip designing unit. Have a good day."

Tom thanked the guard and walked in excitedly.

((Which robot wants to be the test subject for my hacking?
xD ))

Eva sighed and tucked her tail into the back of her dress. She really wanted to see a human but she was also uncertain of whether her human would be what she hoped. She was hoping of a young girl just like herself, but wishes don't always come true. So she walked up to the desk and waited, mimicking sweating by anticipation.

"What's the point of doing this retarded project anyway? I don't want to be paired with some teenaged, snot-nosed brat with affinity and fetishes for robots. If that's the case you better just pull the plug on me."

Cord hated this feeling of separation. It was like withdrawal. He was grumpy the whole time as the drone of tires on pavement nearly drove him to rampancy.

Alkaline heard a door slam behind him and turned around, and saw the same looking van that dropped him off. More men came out, and one started speaking as he drew nearer. "AI3199, you've been reassigned. Please follow me." They said please but it was forceful. WHy was that? He followed them though, and soon was back in the crowded van. They could at least have some windows. The van soon stopped and they piled out, but Alkaline froze when he saw the giant building. They were bringing him back here? Had they found out his memory hadn't been erased. He froze and felt a shove on his side. "Get a move on AI, it's almost my lunch break and I am not wasting a precious second of it." Alkaline refused until there was a awful sensation in his head, and he fell on his knee. "It's called a taser, and you sure felt it huh? Now move or you'll experience it some more." Alkaline hurriedly got to his feet and the humans led him along, but not back to where he had been in the assembly lines. Instead they took an elevator upwards. Finally, after the elevator had gone up at least 10 floors, the door swung open and they pushed him out. "Enjoy Mr. Brandon. You'll probably have to wind up sending him back." One of the men called, the same who had tasered Alkaline, before the door swung closed. Two boys looked up at him, one of which he was assigned to. His mind scrambled to find the words he was supposed to say. had to make sure they thought he was a blank slate, like all the other AI's.

"Hello, my name is AI3199. It is a pleasure to serve." How disgusting. He nearly vomited on his words. He let his facial expression sink into a neutral one and stood perfectly still.
