Despite natural folk lore saying that Reapers are cruel and will take any chance to kill Dameon is quite the opposite and is actually quite nice to those who he gets to know. However if annoyed, aggravated or near another reaper Dameon will become violent towards the person or reaper and will usually try and kill him or her and then take their soul after their death which will give him control over their dead body. Dameon will also in some cases speak in riddles or talkin a way that references to death which is, depsite the fact that he is speaking in reference to death, is when he is in a good mood.

After Dameon's' rebirth he was left outside the door of a orphanage where he grew up. He learnt of his abilities and heritage when he looked 15 and had become enraged at another child in the orphanage who he accidently killed after having enough of him. After this event the orphanage owners called the police but when the police arrived Dameon had seemingly faded to dust and escaped never to been seen again. A few years later Dameon, who now looked 18, came into contact with his scythe, which has the properties to absorb souls from freshly dead bodies, and a small lighter box, that can make anything burn forever unless doused with holy water, which was left in a place where fellow reapers knew he'd find it.
