Personality: Kaos is quiet and observant. He tends to have a dark sense of humor. He likes puzzles and challenges.
Background: Kay grew up being bounced around from foster home to foster home until he was 18 and able to leave the foster care system. Even then it wasn't like he had any of them to go back to, he was on his own. What better way to make money than becoming a drug dealer? That was Kaos solution to his money problems after growing tired of being treated like shit on a daily basis and not to mention like such a kid even being a legal adult. Six years later he is one of the top drug lords in the city with a decent crew of his own.

Kaos sat backwards in the chair his forearms propped up on the backing while he rested his chin on his arms drifting off into space while Darek, the one in charge of money, read off the month's report as they entered into a new month. It's what separated them from the wanna-bes. He treated the drug deals like a real business keeping things as professional as he could for being in the city's underbelly. He practically ruled it. So when the police started investigating the idea of a possible drug lord, naturally it hurt business and put everyone on edge even more so as they did their illegal deals.

"Wait... who was arrested?" Kay blinked moisture back into his eyes as he looked up at a tall slender build man with square glasses and dressed in a suit, something Kay wouldn't have any other way.

Darek paused and looked up from the paper towards his boss sitting so childish in front of him. "Zeke and cliff, they do operations on the east side. From the news report the investigator that we met a couple months ago busted their drug deal." He said his voice held little emotion being very matter of fact and flat.

A sly grin trailed over Kay's face. "Detective Greene." he whispered with a soft chuckle as he recalled their brief meeting. It was casual and brief in a club. The detective had just only begun to get his feet wet in the case.

"Cliff and Zeke aren't direct connections to us, so we should be fine to continue business as usual, but it would be better to keep a low profile." Darek finished tapping the papers back together neatly with his hand.

Kayos straightened and rolled back is shoulders in a bored fashion. "Low profile." he scoffed "Let's send a present to my dear detective friend... I miss him." he said his eyes flicking to the third person in the room standing quietly by the door arms crossed over his chest and leg up resting against the wall. His dark green orbs stared back at the boss inquisitively. They stopped questioning their boss a long time ago. This wasn't the first time he played games with someone in the police force. They weren't sure what his motives were but their boss always kept them in mind and never compromised the business so when he said he wanted to send a present to the detective they went along with it.

Kayos picked up on the detective's know it all personality. He found it to be condescending and from that moment he wanted to break the poor detective. So what better way than to offer up a little game. In a library he created a crossword puzzle that was said to be a clue to a murder scene. The letter was delivered by a neighborhood kid asked to do a favor. All he had to do was set up the murder scene which was delicately and carefully done to some unfortunate puppets. This was going to be a long game one that Kayos was going to enjoy playing if the detective was capable of keeping him entertained.

The letter with the crossword found its way into the police department and on Detective Greene's desk.

Carson woke up on that morning groggier than usual. Something about the recent arrests made just didn’t sit easy with his stomach. He groaned as his feet touched the cold floor of his apartment as he dragged himself out of bed. He just couldn’t believe that it ended there. Two idiots in a warehouse no. There was no way that those guys were the big boss they barely had 2 kilos in the warehouse it was clear they were just throwing the department a bone to distract them.

The thoughts continued to plague him on his morning run. He couldn’t believe the chief could be this stupid. He didn’t think the man was bought out, but Carson had a grudge for the man most of his experience was as a patrol officer and he had noreal investigative training before becoming head of the unit. He was just a stubborn old man in Carson’s mind.

Routine did soothe some of his nerves as he put on his usual uniform: suit and tie, and ate his two sunyside up eggs with a cup of coffee before catching the 8am subway to downtown.

Walking into the office Carson smiled at Anne the secretary. She was probably the only one in the office that did their job besides him.
She smiled back at him. And he glared at his boss as he and the other investors shoved their mouths full of donuts and laughed loudly.

Carson managed to sit down and open another file before he noticed a small pink sticky note on his desk Which was unusual. He picked it up and examined it before unfolding it. The note was written in sloppy hand writing it appeared to be some kind of cross word puzzle. He quickly began to fill out the words from the scrambled letters. The combination of words appeared to describe a warehouse on the west side. He stuffed all the files from his most recent case into his briefcase before running out of the office and grabbing the keys to his undercover mustang, and he started driving west. He didn’t even bother to tell his boss if anything they would just slow him down.

The western warehouse had been empty for weeks. It was perfect for the little game one that the detective was going to find himself very fond off in the months to come. The crossword was easy enough it spelled out the west warehouse and unfortunate end. It was open and ambiguous but held enough suspicion for any law enforcement to check it out.

There were multiple cameras set up inside for Kayos to watch from every angle possible. He was rubbing his hands expectantly as he sat in his dark room a laptop opened revealing all the cameras. "Detective Carson Greene... what do you think of my gift?" he asked quietly his bright green orbs fixated on the screen.

Inside the warehouse was the door was ajar as if it had been pried opened. Droplets of what one could only guess as a blood trail would lead the detective deeper inside to the middle of the room. Puppets laid strewn about some in pieces while other looked to have gunshot wounds and in the middle a few grams of meth. The drugs were real, he didn't want to make it seem too outlandish so adding in real drugs seemed much more suitable and would keep the detective's interest. At least the young drug lord could only hope so.

Carson drove past the warehouse seemingly empty before he parked a few blocks down. Walking up to the only entrance of the warehouse he saw the door was ajar. He quickly pulled out his pistol before opening the door slightly more to find what looked like blood splattered all over.

He called into the warehouse “this is the police come out and cooperate with us and you may not be arrested.” No reply. He took a step in and switched out his pistol for a camera, and put on his glasses to better examine the scene. The blood was splattered and it was indeed real blood. However, Carson couldn’t tell if it was human blood but it was not from a victim; the blood splattering was too intentional.

he walked from one puppet to the next swapping the powder on each and photographing the scene extensively. It appeared to be some kind of bluff.

One of the puppets had a note that was typed up it once again addressed the Detective specifically. Kaos was a bit meticulous and fancy with his words. So he eagerly watched the detective explore the little scene and finding the note would make him giddy.

The note said as follows:
Dear Detective Carson Greene,

You seem inquisitive enough, and I hope you can keep up so no real injuries occur. Let's keep it simple, what lays before you is nothing more than a window to the past. History often repeats itself after all. Can you guess what will happen next? for that cute receptionist at the station's sake, I hope you can.

----

The scene was taken from a drug bust a few years ago before he officially became the drug lord of the city. Kaos was the turn around for anyone who was into drug dealing. He was strategic in his methods but most of all patient. Often police intervened because of impatience and the inability to see reason. That was the difference and that was why Kaos had yet to be caught. Evidence of the case a few years back would show that there was a corrupted cop and lead to 3 fatalities to their unit. The cop was busted and found fleeing from a motel room.

That was the step up from the game. After all he was patient so of course he knew her schedule, he also knew Carson's routine as well. The plan was to get her on her way home from work. It was Thursday which meant she stopped and grabbed Chinese food. That was where they planned on taking her for the next part of the game. But that was all in good time as Kayos' eyes were glued to the screen.

Carson stopped at the next puppet and noticed again what looked like a note. He put on a pair of gloves before picking it up to examine. This one in much neater writing.
It was addressed to him? This made his stomach churn he quickly tried to call into the unit for backup but the warehouse seemed to be blocking the signal. He walked quickly back to the door before finding that it had shut and he was now locked in.

Starting to pace he read the note over and over again trying to thing where he had seen this scene before. Then it clicked it was the corrupt cop a few years back. They found this leading up to his motel room but what did it mean now. The unit secretary Jenny most certainly wasn’t corrupt how could she be she was only the secretary. This didn make any sense to Carson he checked his watch for the first time In a while and it was much later than expected. He continued pacing hoping that whatever they were gonna do to Jenny was nicer than what happened to The other victims on the case.

Jenny was preparing to leave the office for the day. She signed out of her computer and grabbed her coat before saying goodbye to the other workers and walking a few blocks down to her favorite Chinese place. For some reason it seemed like two men behind her had been oddly close. She picked up her pace before noticing that they too picked up. She was definitely being followed.

Kay continued to watch the screen eager to see what this know it all detective would do. Darek came into the room with a package of red vines. He held it out in front of him. Kay tore his green orbs away to look at the offered package. He hesitated only for a moment before reaching into the soft box pulling a couple out. He held one in his mouth while the other in his left hand. He bit down on the half in his mouth his right hand pulling the piece of candy away.

"The best movie ought to have the best snacks." Darek said with a small laugh. "Don't you think?"

Kay laughed and nodded agreed "it's about to get to the best part." He said his eyes flicking back to the screen while he took another bite.

The motel room was set up with a camera feed already. The men were instructed to take the secretary to the room. It was fair game except for being allowed to have their way with her. The ones designated to do so were two lower lackeys not even in the gang yet but were trying to and would be after completing this so called initiation. Their hands were rough as they found an opening from other people and was able snatch her with ease.

They weren't the nicest as one tied her arms and legs tight, stuffed her mouth with some cloth and duct taped her red lipstick lips closed.
They got to the motel and set everything up in the room and left her tied on the bed bound and helpless.

Kay looked down at his smart watch as he received a text and moved to split split the screen. One half held the cameras in the warehouse and the other half the cameras in the motel room.

"The police force think they are untouchable" kayos whispered looking intently at the screen. "We will lay low after this, did you fine replacements for Zeke and cliff?"

"Yeah, but I told them find a new and less obvious place to do business. Also to wait a couple weeks for any major activity." Darek said delicately pushing his glasses back up his nose with his index finger.

Kay smiled approvingly. "I can always count on you." He said with genuine appreciation. It was what made him better. Just like a business if the boss lacked appreciation then the people under would begin to resent and begrudgingly work without an ounce of loyalty to that company. Kay was the opposite and for that reason all of his men held undying loyalty to him.

Kay sighed and pulled out his phone making a call. "I'm bored let him out. If he doesnt get to the motel in an hour then you can do whatever you want to the woman." He said before hanging up, his eyes glancing over at the receptionist who was desperately trying to free herself.

"Do you think he will find her in time? I do hope so...." kay said of course he was rooting for his new obsession. After all the last one investigating the idea of a drug lord proved to be rather disappointing.

"Are you going to let him out?"

"That would be too easy. There are plenty of other ways to get out than the door." Kay said with a shrug as he eagerly waited to see what Carson would do.

Jenny didn’t even have time to scream before the men grabbed her and pulled her into a car.

Carson had to get out and get to that motel. As he paced he began to search for a way out there was a window about ten feet up if he could find a way to get up he could escape. Running around the the warehouse he found some crates and a barrel. As fast as he could he stacked them so he could reach the base of the window. Using the brief case he shattered the window and pulled himself up and over hitting the concrete outside and rolling awkwardly.

The detective didn’t even stop to worry that his hands were cut and bleeding. He ran to his car as fast as he could and turned on the siren and started speeding toward the motel, not even trying to go undercover. He barely put his car in park before he jumped out and ran past the clerk flashing his badge. Pistol out he dan to room 12 where the crime scene had happened and sure enough the door was unlocked.

He burst into the room and pointed his gun at the men before the shock of the situation set in. “This is the police back away from her no” he yelled.

Kayos grinned as he watched his detective climb up to the window and smash it open. "I was going to have the door open... but that works too." he said quite pleased with the sense of urgency Carson had.

He held up his cell phone as he watched the men on the camera "get out of there... he left the warehouse." he said although he wondered if the detective figured it out so quickly. Where would he go next? To get help from the others or be the receptionist knight and shinning armor.

The two men with her nodded and hung up the phone one of them made it out while the other double checked her bounds when he held his hands up to the detective pointing a pistol at him.

"Dammit I told them not to get caught... they know what happens when they get caught?" Kay rolled his eyes as he watched the events play out.

It was one thing to have greedy men who are paid to be under you. But to have undying loyalty because you promised a better life was something entirely different. That was what made Kayos so appealing to work for. He had the undying loyalty of his men. They would take a bullet for him, they would cut off their hand if he told him to, they would do anything to protect him. That was the difference between his crew and others.

So when Detective Carson came into the room gun pointed at the assailant with Jenny, the receptionist, he was quick to pull out his gun point it to his head and shoot. Either Carson would shoot due to the movements and most likely kill or he would died by his own hand. Either way it was escape or die situation. There was a lot at stake and Kayos wasn't going to let any slip up happen, that included if anyone of his men messed up it was their responsibility to keep the others safe. Interrogation was what waited for the man blocked in by the detective.

Green eyes flickered away from the screen as gun shots rang out over the sound. Kayos could be brutal he could kill someone without even blinking an eye or taking a second glance. However, when it came to his own men it was a different matter. As low of a lackey they were, he never wanted to see them die. But everyone knew the consequences of going along with any scheme, if you get caught you die before letting them take you in alive.

Carson was so shocked he almost dropped his gun. Fuck this scene just got messy. He quickly untied Jenny as soon as he was sure the two men were dead. Whoever did this was powerful enough to make his men kill themselves to save him.

After Carson had finished untying Jenny she started sobbing. He didn’t like physical affection but he hugged her because he knew it would probably comfort her. “ it’s ok I’ll drive you back to the station and we will figure out who did this.” He said to her as she wiped her tears.

Jenny got up and thanked him. Carson took pictures of the scene and called in a back up unit to clean up the mess he didn’t have time for. They both got back in the trooper and Carson drove them back to the station. By the time they got back the office was empty. Jenny went straight home but Carson stayed to patch up his hands before catching the train home. It was late by this time and he would have to deal with the case tomorrow he was exhausted from the day.

Once the detective left Kayos turned off the camera feed and sighed. Their little game had come to an end. A soft chuckled escaped his lips as he stood up "I bet you think you're a hero, Detective Greene." His voice said calmly as he walked out of the room with Darek following behind him.

"What now?"

"Let him enjoy his win for a little bit." Kayos said quietly walking to the door.

"In the meantime, I'm going to go get a drink. Like you said we should maintain a low profile. With cops crawling around he it would best." The young drug lord said and headed out.

Of course he wouldn't go to the club by himself. Darek was in tow behind him along with a well built fiery redhead. He went to his usual bar and sat down on his usual bar stool where he ordered his usual drink. He was a man who dreamed big but held simple pleasures and a nice drink of bourbon usually did the trick.

"Good to see you again Keegan." the blonde bar tender flirted as she set Kayos's drink in front of him. "It's been awhile... where've you been honey?" She asked.

"Hey Roxy... just been busy... you know running a business." He said raising his glass to the female. It was hard to tell whether or not she had a crush on him since she was flirtatious with all of the patrons, more tips that way.

"Anything new here?"

"Not really, the usual people doing their usual thing." she said with a shrug.

The drug lord came to the bar to unwind. There he was just another patron with the goal to have a good time. He never believed in the idea of shitting where you eat so he didn't do drug deals even around the bar. This was his place to simply let go, He wasn't Kayos there or even Kay as some called him. He was simply Keegan Reynolds a business owner who kept his personal life to himself no one expected him to be the unseen and yet feared drug lord of the city's underbelly.

"Any good pickings?" Keegan asked looking around the bar at some of the other cute young men.

"Always straight to the catch with you." Roxy rolled her eyes and scanned the bar as well. "a couple cute ones out there." she said with a nod before giving him a wink while she walked to the other end of the bar to take another order.

Carson sighed as he slipped off his shoes at the front door. The day had been an absolute shit show, and he now had the biggest crime boss in the city toying with him. He grabbed whatever he could find in the fridge before loosening his tie and flopping himself down on the couch to shove a sandwich in his mouth. He scrolled through his phone to try and distract himself from the day and his hands.

His friends groupchat had several new messages. Chris and his girlfriend were trying to rally the group to go to the clubs that night. Chis was Carson’s roomate and best friend in college and it had been a few weeks since they had all gotten together. He messaged the chat that he would be down. It wasn’t like he was going to sleep tonight anyway and drinking may help him forget.

He jumped in the shower and rinsed off doing his best to try and keep his hand bandages dry but they inevitably got wet and he wrapped them back up as soon as he got out and clothed. Carson didn’t like dressing flamboyantly, even though he accepted his sexuality he didn’t like the attention it brought him so he dressed simply in his favorite black skinny jeans and a sweater. Realizing he was almost late he put some goo in his hair and ran out the door of his apartment and walked to Chris’ apartment.

Chris smiled and grabbed Carson into a hug when he arrived. “Long time no see detective!” He chuckled. Yea it’s been too long Carson replied. Chris’ girlfriend Emily handed him a shot and they all threw back a few before heading out to the club.

When they got in Emily immediately pulled Chris to the dance floor. He could tell she was already feeling the shots, but Carson needed another drink. He made his way to the bar and tried to flag the waitress down.

Keegan took another long sip of his bourbon while his eyes traveled from the bar to the dance floor. Nothing particular seemed to catch his eye until he heard the giggle of Roxy. His eyes flicked back over to the bar tender who was flirtatiously leaning on the bar counter.

"What can I get ya honey?" she asked Carson.

The young drug lord chuckled oh this was his night. He stood up and walked over to Carson and sat down next to him. "You look like you could use something stronger." he said giving him a sly wink. "Roxy put it on my tab." He told the bartender before his attention fixated on Carson.

"It's been awhile Detective." Keegan said remembering the first time they met. The detective had come by the club early just before open to ask questions. He had just so happen to be there since his best friend owned the place.

Carson smiled at Roxie when she headed his way. “Can I get a gin and tonic please.” He had let his guard down and didn’t notice the man next to him until he sat down.

Something about the man was familiar. “thanks for the drink.” He smiled and said to the man he only recognized him when he called him detective. “Oh I remember you I came in here not too long ago to question the owner. Don’t worry I’m glad to be off duty tonight. “ he chuckled feeling the shots kick in. He took a sip of the drink Roxie handed him and it indeed was very strong. He glanced over to check on Chris and he and Emily were still going at it on the floor.

“there may be criminals here but it’s definitely still the best club in the city.” He said before chugging the 90% gin and tonic down.

"hmph…" Roxie spoke and shrugged some "All you'll find here is the usual people doing the usual thing." she chimed before walking away.

Keegan chuckled and shook his head "All sorts of people are here, but aren't we all the same? Just trying to let loose and have a good time either by dancing their problems away or drinking or both." He said motioning to the rest of the bar but his face held a look of boredom.

"So what category does the detective fall in?" he asked side glancing him "Or are you just out for a simple night of fun..." he paused "by yourself?" he gave a toothy grin before finishing his bourbon. He set down the empty glass and waited for the man's reply.

Carson took a seat at the bar he was starting to feel pretty drunk no where near to blackout but just enough to to be visibly pretty drunk. He kept at his very strong drink, at least it was good gin.

“My friends wanted to come here but his girlfriend is wasted and I don’t wanna dance.” He replied with a slight slur.

we swished his drink around as something to do as he watched the other people in the club dancing and chatting. “I saw two people kill themselves in front of me so I’m just trying to forget that tonight. Hey why are you here like every time I come in?” He replied.

Keegan noted that the detective wasn't there alone, not that he was planning to do anything, but it wouldn't hurt to find out who was here with the detective. That information could prove rather useful than just toying with the poor receptionist. The young drug lord was in it for the long hall.

"Do you not like dancing?" he asked while he placed his left elbow on the counter and rested his head on his left hand as he used the angle to continue to look Carson over.

"Damn... that does sound like a pretty shitty day." He said with a frown it was easy to empathize with that because even though he was a cold hearted killer he didn't like to see his men killed, but he understood the necessity of it. Everyone in his crew knew the risk and yet still followed him. He took them from living in the slums selling unclean drugs to living decently selling only the cleanest and the best of drugs. When you get into the pure stuff, it was remarkable who the customers were. It wasn't just meth heads on the street coming around for their next fixed. No, he had multiple clients from various backgrounds, most were in a position that if caught with the drugs their name's would be smeared. Either way he had them, if not by their addiction then by their reputation.

Keegan chuckled and gave the detective another smile as green orbs stared at the man with pure fascination by his accusation. "Detective... The owner is a dear friend of mine, I'm always here. Is it my fault that I just so happen to be here when you've come by?" he asked moving a little bit closer as the bartender came by setting down another glass of bourbon in front of him. "It's Friday night... I'm young...." he paused reaching for the man's chin to turn his face towards him. "I'm also single." He finished giving the detective a once over glance and a wink. He chuckled completely confident in himself as he sat up straight reached for his new drink and took a long sip.

Carson knew he probably shouldn’t be confessing anything not publicly released yet but, he was sufficiently drunk and something about this man’s eyes was luring him in.

“Sorry to assume it’s just my job to be suspicious...” he laughed taking The finishing gulp of his drink before ordering another.
Checking in with Chris he glanced over, Chris gave him a thumbs up from the floor where his girlfriend was grinding on him.

After Carson received another drink he took a sip and turned his and glanced down at the glass and swirling the ice cubes again. He was caught off guard when Keegan touched his chin bringing their eyes back to meet before quickly shifting his down anxiously. he bit the corner of his lip pondering the right thing to say to the man. It had been a while since he had broken up with his last boyfriend, and no one he had met yet had been this attractive or forward.

“So how did you manage to clock me so fast, as far as I know this club is not a gay bar?” He questioned mimicking the other man by taking another sip of his drink while crossing his legs.

Keegan smirked "ah... being suspicious..." he paused before letting out a soft sigh "that sounds utterly exhausting." He said with soft laughter. "No good deed goes unpunished I suppose."

"Ah, I keep trying to convince my friend to change this into a gay bar." He explained with a light chuckle "He always refuses." he said with a shrug. "Gay or straight... I just go for it." Keegan said with a shrug. The man certainly had confidence, truth was he didn't care if they were gay or straight. If they were gay it was easier and if they were straight well that didn't mean he wasn't convincing enough. Keegan was the type of man you just didn't say no to.

"So what do you say, detective? Take the night off..." he moved in closer as he leaned over and whispered into his ear "dance with me?"

“Wow you certainly have more confidence than me.” Carson admitted sipping his drink he needed to slow down or else Chris was going to have to carry him home. He could feel his stomach churn when the man leaned in.

Carson wouldn’t have normally given in so easily, he didn’t consider himself promiscuous, but this man was almost luring. Besides he wasn’t going to go anywhere with this man what harm did it do to continue flirting. The only real risk was embarrassing himself, and at this point he had enough liquid courage to possibly do something he would regret later. It hadn’t been since college that he let himself get this drunk in public but tonight he was running from his responsibilities.

“Alright, you might be disappointed I’m not a great dancer. Let me finish this drink.” He responded avoiding eye contact and shooting the rest of it back and hissing. The bartender had definitely made the drinks strong.

Keegan chuckled "Well detective... it's a good thing I'm an excellent teacher." he said taking his hand leading him to the dance floor. A few drinks in and the drug lord couldn't help but be lost to the music. He pulled Carson in close their foreheads almost touching as he held his hips pushing them to sway to the rhythm of the music.

While dancing he looked greedily over the detective enjoying the feel of his hips in his hands, and the way the man turned red. "You're still much to stiff... you gotta relax... feel the music..." Keegan said his words slightly slurred.

At the end of the song he leaned in and planted a gentle kiss on Carson's cheek before looking into his eyes "Thank you for the dance." He said with a grin.

Carson took the mans hand as he pulled them through people and to the floor. He could feel the other mans breath close to his as Keegan pulled him in. Not knowing what to do with his hands he placed them on the mans shoulders.

“I told you I’m no good” he giggled. Moving in closer to the man. Alcohol made him bolder but not a better dancer unfortunately.

Blushing after Keegan kissed his forehead. His own eyes slightly glazed over from the alcohol as he stared into Keegan’s green eyes.

“well you have been quite the gentleman thank you” Carson said reaching up to touch the mans chin before planting a light kiss on his lips and pulling away quickly.

Keegan licked his lips after Carson stole a kiss he could taste the alcohol on the man's breath and ever so enjoyed it. He grinned debating on if he wanted to take the sweet detective right then and there, but he had to be patient and wait.

"oh... that's my phone." he said over the music as he pulled out his phone and right on time was a call from his driver. He wanted to seduce Carson enough to make the man want him. It was all part of the game he always enjoyed.

"hello.. hold on i'm in a club!" he called out over the phone as he excused himself from the crowd and just like that he was gone. He wondered if the detective would miss him.
