Legend of Korra: The Gray Warrior

NecroKnight

Former Elite Death Knight of Decay
The trip to Republic City from the Southern Water Tribe is mostly quick one - judging by the standards now and about hundreds of years ago. The grand city that was constructed by Avatar Aang by Fire Lord Zuko from the Fire Nation colonies is a majestic and beautiful one, to any who arrive at the large city.

Since its creation it has grown vastly - people from all cultures and all walks of life, adjorn the streets. Majestic ships and constructs fly in the skies and litter the streets - moving faster than any airbender could manage. Technology, that was once considered a spirit-dream was made a reality.

...and do it all, one Avatar would soon awaken to see the City for the first time.

The young water tribe born Avatar Korra had slept rather well in the cargo hold of the boat which was escorting goods, herself and her best friend Naga the polarbear dog to Republic City. The young avatar looked forward to seeing the city the past avatar Aang built and of course start her air bender training. Grinning widely the moment the cargo hold doors opened Korra and Naga jumped into action. Holding onto the leather saddle she rode out into the vast city.

"first stop Air Temple island" she mused to Naga as the polarbear dog obviously had other ideas of her own running straight into the crowded streets. Across roads full of Sato mobiles. This was going to be a long and hectic day.

(I'm going to introduce my new char then)

As the two were having fun, running around the place - they soon ran past a fishmonger; where a guy was busy eyeing the market. Until the polar-dog, got an interested in said fish - and knocking the hooded figure into a barrel of fish. It would've been a hilarious sight, albeit for said guy it wasn't; running around with barrel stuck on him, and he couldn't get out.

Soon impacting a lamp-post, and falling onto the ground. "Okay, who was the weasel who thought this was funny?! And can the person atleast have the decency, to get ME OUT OF THIS BARREL! Its starting to stink here and I don't like tuna...."

Korra was in shock as Naga made the decision that the fish in the barrel was a more fascinating than listening to her friend. "dammit Naga that was not a nice thing to do" she said with a frown as the polar bear dog sat down looking guilty as Korra turned as she heard the male whom was stuck in the barrel call out for help. "oh right... Sorry!" She yelled out going over to him removing the barrel. "I am so sorry about this... Naga never normally acts like this" she said pointing to Naga who looked rather guilty her eyes not making contact with either of them. "are you alright?" She asked curiously.

"Alright now...what's the-" he started, before looking at Korra and then at Naga, confused. "Now I've seen everything..."

The guy in question, looked handsome enough - he wore a black cloak that covered his entire body, albeit it now stink of fish. His skin was a little dark, emphasizing his likely water-roots, yet his hair was black as coal. Rising to full height, he was an inch taller than Korra - albeit he seemed more confused, at seeing a girl and her pet around her.

"...so you were the jester...here eh?" asked the guy, pulling a tuna out of his pocket and chucking it back into the barrel of fish.

Korra looked the man over in silence at first not giving him an answer. He seemed to look like he would be a reasonable man to speak with so she nodded "yes we are the guilty party" Korra says hearing Naga whimper. "my names Korra and the polar bear dog is my best friend Naga

we were trying to find air temple island" she said hoping to not share who she was just yet or have to pay for the fish. She had no money after all. Being raised the way she was it was no surprise. "we are really sorry about the fish..."

"Well, its not my fish..." said the guy, looking over the barrel of fish, that was suprisingly still full - despite it having been on his head a second ago. "And are you kidding me? Everybody in Republic City, knows where Air Temple Island is..."

"...to answer your question, the temple is in the middle of they bay - near the statue of Avatar Aang; and the name is Riko. No idea, why you want to go there - besides trying some meditating..." he sighed, shaking his head. "Alright. How about I show you a little around the city, eh? Because judging by your lack of knowledge, your a fresh arrival - and there are alot of people whom lack my sense of patience. And if you did that, to any member of the Three, you'd have been...well...that doesn't need saying."

"...and thanks to you, I have to air out my cloak anyway and you need a better understanding on how life is around the city. So what ya say, Kor-ra?"
