TakeshiKagirame.pngThe boy pursed his lips when he saw another one of his teammates, Luna, get pulled into the ground by the monkey. Not falling for the distraction and keeping the offensive was a testament of Clair’s earlier words; “He may be a Genin class but his skills and experience would put a chunin leaf ninja to shame.” Waiting for an opportunity was risky but creating one was even riskier, it seemed. Unless…

“Understood.”, came Takeshi’s reply to Gensou’s orders. “There’s no guarantee that Riku will fall for another distraction, however. I’ll prepare myself in case he goes after me.” Putting his kunai back into his pouch, he made his slow descent toward the ground. With Riku underground, he’d have to enter the danger zone. ‘No matter what happens or you see’. That was clear enough for him. Even if he ended up being Riku’s target, he’d free the other two.

Once he reached the ground, Takeshi weaved a few signs. “Earth Style: Sculpture.” Using the earth at his feet, he used a jutsu to mold it around his ankles. Moving like clay, the stone finally hardened above his feet, taking a form similar to cuffs covered in earthy spines. Assuming Riku had grabbed his teammates by the ankles, he’d be in for a nasty surprise if he tried to do the same with Takeshi.

His own little trap done, he awaited Gensou’s move, hoping Riku would emerge soon.

Should Riku come out of the ground near Gensou, taking her bait, Takeshi would dash toward Luna and Rinka to free them using Earth Release. This was personally the outcome he hoped would happen. Although they’d have to worry about Gensou if she was targeted -with that being said, the whole team would be back up to fight Riku.

If, however, Riku decided to go after him and ignore Gensou, Takeshi had another trick up his sleeve. If the nin-monkey would grab his ankles, he’d hope the stone spikes would deter him. If Riku would keep trying to pull him underground, Takeshi was certain a Lightning Style jutsu would greatly surprise the monkey. While his Spark Spray wasn’t much for damage, hopefully the surprise itself would be enough to buy enough time for the sought-after rescue.

Rinka's frustration was apparent on her face as Luna was captured by the nin-monkey herself. Earth Style: Headhunter jutsu was a D rank technique that requires you to come up for air at some point. This monkey was going to pay. She just needed a better plan. One that would work even if she was like this.

One formed a moment later. This monkey is going to regret not burrying her alive. All water is her weapon even her own sweat and saliva can be used if done properly. She started sucking and lightly chewing on her cheeks to create saliva. If that monkey tried to come up for air she was going to punish the notion with a icicle of saliva, essentially spitting on the monkey from long range with a painful aspect. Using Chakra and her tongue she formed the cylinder and sucked in air slowly through her nose waiting for her chance to make this monkey pay dearly.

It didn't matter what part of that monkey she saw, but the moment she did. Exhaling through her mouth the cylinder of ice fired from making a loud popping sound as it left her lips.

However this little stunt of hers, wouldn't be without a recoil. As the warmth returned to her mouth she noted the taste of blood. She didn't think the molding of the ice with her tongue would do enough to cause any damage but it wasn't serious from what she could tell so far. So long as she doesn't bite it and it heals it should be alright.

When Luna soon got pulled into the ground she can only give a sigh. Humming idly to herself as she tried to think of a way they could escape. It was an unfortunate situation to be in, but she rather not get more stressed about it by being upset about it. She came up with a few ideas to try and get them out. But would wait to see if their mysterious teammate would help them. Whether or not Riku chose to go after Takeshi, one thing was for certain and it was that the attention should be off of them finally. Can't this guy just leave her alone now, jeez.

Both herself and Rinka were pulled down right next to each other. Meaning there should only be a thin wall of earth between them. If she could just push a little bit of chakra from her fingers to that thin wall, she may be able to make it crumble. Then there should be plenty of room for them to get themselves out. But if Takeshi was able to free them, then she simply let him to save herself some energy.

Regardless, if she did get out she was quick to move away from the chaos and into a nearby tree to get off the ground. Picking up some of the rubble as she did. Riku wouldn't be able to stay under the earth for long. And Rinka already had the right idea by shooting some ice. She would do the same thing but with her little supply with rubble. Basically acting as a sniper as she shot small but powerful pebbles one by one once the monkey came out of the ground. Preferably during moments where his attention was on her teammates rather than herself along with trying to aim for the more important parts of the body. Like his head, arms, and legs.

The rescue plan went swimmingly, between Luna's attempt to soften the earth and Takeshi's effort to release the two everyone had managed to escape. In fact, everything went almost too well considering Luna had been snatched right away in her previous attempt to do just that. Indeed even as the trio would loo out at the field only an eerie silence would meet them in return. Riku should have emerged by now, yet he was nowhere to be seen. What could the monkey have been planning? Was he aiming for the only member split off from the group?

The answer was no, despite all of Gensou's efforts and shedding of equipment it seemed as though the monkey had no interest in her either. Even an earth release would reveal nothing unusual in the area under their feet. For all intents and purposes, Riku was gone, he had vanished beyond the radius the group could maintain focus on. But why? Did he not have the advantage? After a minute or two Clair would appear hanging upsidedown upon a nearby tree branch, her gaze on the group matched with a blank expression that gave away nothing regarding how she felt about the current situation. But the Jonin did reveal a hint "To pass you must defeat Riku by sunset. Those were the rules I set out. I never said Riku needed to defeat you four did I? Riku fought you all just now to assess your abilities. He accomplished his goal, now he need only avoid you no?"

Opening her eyes once more Gensou would turn her head slowly towards their instructor "The possibility was accounted for in my initial action. In addition to impeding vision, the scent of Capsaicin is both trackable and not easily moved, especially should it be introduced into finer hairs and garments." moving over she goes to recollect each of her items, carefully slotting them back into their positions, attaching and redressing before smoothing herself down and going to sit once more "In addition, he was not the only one assessing. The possibility of escape was not ignored and instead beneficial to allow us to reset from a disadvantaged position as opposed to operating under a weakened state. We can now plan actions with greater knowledge of our teammate's abilities and our opponents."

Closing her eye once more she began to think over the problem once more, everything she had observed and the impact of the Jutsu used. Methodically going over each item it would be clear her eye was shifting from side to side despite being closed as if visualising. Her brow would furrow ever so slightly and then raise her fingers in a steeple before her mouth as her mind came to a realisation. Her Jutu's in particular had been used for distraction and misdirection, however, she realized she had neglected an offensive aspect, an offensive aspect that would negatively affect non-humans more effectively. It was then removed a blank book from her pouch and began working on imbuing each page with a Jutsu before removing the page and repeating the process. Her mimicry Jutsu could mimic sounds as needed, and vibrations into the ground for distraction, but liquids would transmit sound far better than solids, blood in particular. Combining all this together, the intention was to overpower the senses of the monkey with high frequency and high decibel sound, not only would it disorientate him but if continued and used directly with the enemy as the conduit the intense pain would also result in damage and prolonged vertigo symptoms.

At some point however she had also pulled out a folded paper with several small balls on it, inserting one into her mouth to chew she offered them to her now freed teammates "Recover, less our second engagement be done with less resources than our first."

Getting out of the ground Rinka sat there for a moment on the ground. The eerie quiet from the mini battlefield they'd made tussling with the monkey. Clair chimed in from her spot on the tree near by. What she said was completely accurate, Riku wins if he manages to play keep away long enough. Although that would mean a fail and a one way ticket back to the academy. She can't allow that, not after coming this far.

She pushes herself off the ground and onto her feet. Then shaking her head side to side she clenches her fist. With an exasperated huff, she once again coats her knuckles in ice. Glancing at the trail of ice she made a handful of minutes ago, taking note that it's starting to melt. Moving to it she knelt down on the melting ice making it crack and shatter when her weight was applied. She then stood up, around her shins and ankles thick razor sharp armor is now present. Giving herself a few bounces up and down in place to adjust herself to the new weight she shifted her gaze to the forested area that surrounds her. He was in there somewhere, she'd just have to find him. Although, that isn't the only place the monkey could be. She glanced at the lake that still had hunks of ice floating in it. However she didn't see any notable changes in the water since her influencing it with her mist and cold temperatures. It just didn't add up though how could he just... Disappe-...

No, what if he was still there? Maybe... Just maybe that wasn't Clair sensei. Maybe he used the transformation technique under ground and come up as Clair behind that tree they are positioned on. If she is right then she is right, if not then she'd probably be punished later but it's better than not being sure. She faked like she was counting what was left in her tool pouch for a moment, before throwing a kunai at Clair and charged in her direction. One way or another she was going to find out if she's right.

TakeshiKagirame.pngHis guard still raised, Takeshi glanced to the side, behind him and under him, looking for any sign of the nin-monkey. “Where… is he?” Kunai held in defensive posture, the boy Genin looked at his teammates, looking for a confirmation to his question. Fortunately, Clair-sensei came in at the right time for a hint. “Ah, so Riku can simply keep hiding until time’s up… of course…” Sighing and mentally facepalming, Takeshi tried to regain his focus.

It did look like Gensou planned for this ahead of time by making Riku a bit easier to track via Capsaicin. “Good thinking. Assuming Riku doesn’t go too far, it should be doable to recognize him.”

Bringing a hand to his chin in thought, Takeshi did a double take when he noticed Rinka dig into her pouch, only to throw a kunai at Clair-sensei. “Hey, what are you-!?” He stopped himself mid-sentence, understanding what she was doing.

Groaning internally, he stood at the ready to see how things would evolve. Of course, it wasn’t certain that the Clair-sensei in front of them was Riku in disguise but he couldn’t help but be disappointed in himself for not seeing this possibility.

Regardless, it would be best to prepare himself in case Rinka was right. Attacking Riku’s senses was the key to victory. As such, another Spark Spray jutsu would do good in blinding him and giving the others an opening to strike. Hands out, he got ready to weave the signs, though he would wait to see Clair-sensei’s reaction to Rinka’s attack. Last thing he wanted was to get trigger happy and dig his own grave.

Luna stayed sitting in the tree watching as their sensei appeared to share bad news. Now only did they have to defeat Riku they also had to play hide and seek with him! She gave a small sigh as she glanced around the field. There was no traces of Riku that they could really use to help them. But he couldn't have gone that far. It was about time that Riku came up for air and he couldn't have run that far without making enough noise for someone to notice. Is he really hiding somewhere? Maybe to do an ambush.

Though, the mention of a snack was always something to put her back in a better mood! "Thanks." She said simply to Gensou. Approaching the others and grabbing one of the strange balls to eat as well! She wasn't sure what it was but she would find out soon. Hopefully it was good.

She watched as Rinka threw an attack towards Clair. Did she think that Riku was trying to fool them with substitution? But then why would he actively tell them his plan to evade them. The what if game was a very dangerous one to play. If that was the real Clair sensei...she just hoped that Rinka wouldn't get too injured from whatever may happen next. However, just in case that was Riku she stayed on alert. Ready to act should they need to. To either attack the monkey or prevent him from fleeing again.

As the group came together to recover and form a plan Clair watched on from her place beneath a tree branch, things were going far better than she had originally anticipated. All of her prospective students, although rough around the edges, seemed to be more than capable of achieving the jonin rank with proper training and dedication. In fact, two even struck her as Anbu candidates but then again only time would tell how these spring chickens would grow. Only time would tell if they were truly full of potential or had already reached a crescendo point. Watching on in deep thought Clair hadn't expected a kunai to be thrown her way and as a result, she acted purely on instinct without holding back.

Catching the kunai with a finger the woman swiftly spun it back around and tossed it back where it had come from with a loud crack from the sudden acceleration. Zipping past Rinka's head and piercing deep into the ground behind her. Fortunately for the genin in question, Clair's return had barely grazed her cheek but even then the cut had produced a deep cut that was now slowly beginning to bleed and paint the side of her face red. Had she not moved to charge immediately after throwing the weapon, well it was safe to say the challenge would have most certainly ended for the girl then and there.

Blinking, Clair refocused on the situation at hand and her eyes narrowed on Rinka before shifting to Takeshi who had been weaving signs "Rinka, Takeshi!" Dropping to the ground Clair slowly approached the group, her facial expression and tone stern and vexed, far more so than one would have ever expected to see when taking into account the woman's air-headed personality. With a sigh Clair reached the group and moved a hand to inspect the cut on Rinka's face "Espionage, trickery, sleight of hand, everything and anything that can be done to deceive you is to be expected and likewise used in kind. However!" Pausing to take a side glance at the rest of the team Clair continued "You should, under no circumstances, attack an ally without solid proof they are not who they say they are or you have been given a direct order by a higher ranking ninja. Rinka, what you have just done, regardless of intent is a crime punishable by immediate dismissal and imprisonment.".

Moving a hand to the girls new and polished leaf headband, Clair removed it with a single swipe and gripped it by her side before taking a step back "Fail this test and not only will your team be returned to the academy but I will see you never again receive a passing grade. Am I understood?"

Rinka's evaluation was wrong but the reaction wasn't precisely what she planned. Though it wasn't the rest of the teams fault. They were just following her reaction. Taking a breath she calmed herself and bowed. Her hair moved forward blocking her face. She stayed like that for a a few moments.

Lifting her head she spoke, "I apologize for my actions. I know that it could have ended badly but I should be the only one punished for this action. In this entire test you have been out of our vision. It wasn't out of the question that Riku could have taken your form to throw us off. I will accept any punishment you have for me when this test is over regardless of if any of us pass or not." Once she finished speaking she turned and bowed her head to her team as well, but didn't say another word.

Once she lifted her head again, Rinka moved to her kunai. The knife was impaled almost to the metal ring in the ground. Staring at it she slowly had the gravity of what could have happened hit her. Her hand was shaking as she reached down and pulled it from the ground. While she was at it she was going to get the rest of her tools. She moved towards the earth dome, where the majority of her tools awaited her, some jammed into it others on the ground near it after bouncing off of the hard surface. The ice that had coated them had long since melted by now leaving small puddles or water stains on the stone surface.

TakeshiKagirame.pngWell. That backfired. Following Rinka’s lead, Takeshi had begun weaving signs in preparation before being interrupted by Clair-sensei’s stern voice. ’... I don’t think that’s Riku…’

Jaws clenched while Clair-sensei was lecturing them, Takeshi went back over the last few moments. On retrospective, attacking an ally out of simple suspicion had been a terrible move. Should this have not been a test, they could’ve been in huge trouble for it. Not that they weren’t in trouble but Rinka definitely had it worse.

Turning to face Rinka (and briefly wincing at the wound on the side of her head), Takeshi let out a sigh and gave her a small smile. “Instead of thinking about punishment, I’d like to suggest finding Riku and passing the test. If we do succeed, we won’t have anything to worry about in the first place.

“Since I don’t smell Gensou’s Capsaicin, I’d like to assume Riku is still underground -probably with low air supplies.”

Humming in thought, Takeshi’s gaze went to the puddles of water Rinka’s Ice Release left on the ground. “... I’m going to feel stupid if Riku isn’t underground anymore but what if we force him back onto the surface by using Earth Release to dig holes in the ground and fill them with water? … Though that could wash away the smell we need to track him down… Err, sorry, I’m trying to brainstorm ideas…”

As Gensou looked to Luna she took note of the slight confusion within her features when taking the pill and quickly responded "Soldier Pills, Chakra and Stamina replenishment" her statement was blunt as always before an eye caught her other comrade's actions moments after it had occurred, closing her eyes for a moment and taking a breath before standing once more and putting the rest of her gear back in place and extracted a faint capsule of some sort of ointment.

Walking over to Rinka, Gensou would dab a finger in it before swiping it past the girl's cut-on the pass, likely giving off a strong stinging sensation from the cut. The ointment itself was designed for blood clotting and sterilization, ideally to stop the bleeding of the wound and limit it from getting in her comrade's eyes, after all they would need to be more attentive.

Without addressing her previous action at all she goes on to speak once more "Submerged targets require oxygen so unless a breathing method is created he will need to surface. However given previous observations he will not be satisfied with simply winning by default on expired time via hiding, he will wish to win and prove themselves. Venturing off to find him should be done with caution as it would create an opportunity to draw targets into a trap and or employ hit and run tactics to pick off opponents as was seen previously" going to store away the ointment casually while she talked and pulling out a marker and bandages "To prevent misunderstandings and false targets, I can apply identification markers should that remove a concern.....but onto the task at hand" she pauses in thought for several more moments "False impressions of overconfidence? Potnetial bait of the ego to provoke attack....Sustaining connection to group, hmm may risk target finding members easier though superior senses make that less of a concern" nodding she looks to her wires "Teathers would allow for communication at distance, though limited range, attaching the wire in a way where if pulled will simply detatch rather than drag will be helpful, also give signal as to location of target......" she stops to share a look to each of the members trying to guage their reactions to any of the ideas so far.

When whatever she popped into her mouth didn't seem to have any sort of taste she, indeed, did look confused for a moment. When Gensou explained she gave a small nod. So it wasn't a snack. It was a replenishment. Oh well. A bit of a disappointment but it did help her feel a bit more energized. So it was better than nothing. Her attention finally shifted from the pill she had just eaten to the commotion that was happening with Rinka and Clair. Glancing from their sensei to the kunai lodged in the ground, then back to Rinka. "Yikes...She really got mad..." She mumbled while following behind Gensou as they approached their other teammates. Glancing at Takashi when he mentioned his idea. Using water with the holes of earth did sound like a good idea...but were any of them water natured? Did Rinka know that alongside Ice?

She listened to Gensou's share of ideas and observations as well. Idly curling a few ends of her hair around her fingers. "I agree with not separating. I don't think any of us could take him down in a 1v1." They could barely do it when the odds were four to one. "But I think filling the tunnels with water could help. If not to chase him out, then to see where he might have gone. But someone with a water nature would have to do that. I think it's safe to bet he's already come up to get air." She didn't think Ice alone was going to be able to make enough water for that plan to work. Unless it could. Because she didn't actually know all of what ice release could do. "But if that doesn't work, I also agree with using someone as bait. Saying he went into a small rampage when he got pelted with some rocks, that moment of unparallel rage might be a good time to strike him down...but that's assuming one of us could even keep up with him. Not to mention the rest of us would have to be nearby without alerting him...meaning we'd have to be up in the trees..." Luna gave a sigh at all the thinking. Keeping her voice low as she spoke, just in case the monkey was lurking around. Didn't wanna give any secrets away! Riku probably knew he couldn't take all four of them at once...did he even know Takashi joined? Never mind that, Riku might be tempted to pick them off one by one at least. And if that could lure him out that would be great.

Pinching the bridge of her nose Clair let out a soft sigh before turning her back to the group "This isn't the academy. One slip-up can cost you your life. You're a team now and you will be rewarded and punished as such for the rest of your lives. Your actions have far-reaching effects. If you trip and fall on a mission, you could give away not only yourself but your team nearby, one or more of you could be killed and the mission result in failure. That failure then could affect another team and another and right on up to the admin staff of the Hokage or even to the Feudal lord. You are Hidden Leaf Shinobi. You are the wall against which darkness brakes and the spear with which we push it back. War could be right around the corner for us, so it's time you all grew up. tsk!"

Quite ironic coming from the airhead that was Clair Uzakami. Weaving a few hand signs in quick succession Riku appeared in a cloud of smoke before a tag was quickly slapped upon his forehead and he once again vanished just as he had appeared. Turning back to the group Clair's shoulders sank and her stomach began to grumble "Anyway, I've seen enough. I'll cut you all some slack...I'm starving... we're supposed to be meeting team Minato for Ramen provided they passed. Any objections? No, great. Let's go!".

Spinning on her heel Clair began to make off toward the village, guiding the team to a run-down and shabby ramen shack known as Ichiraku Ramen. Minato, Kakashi, Rin and Obito had yet to arrive, giving the team a perfect opportunity to ask their new teacher whatever they wanted.

Luna could only silently nod as Clair's lecture soon became directed at all of them. It made sense. All it takes is one small thing to ruin everything. Though the tripping and falling seemed to be a bit of a push. A very specific one. She wondered if Clair made a mistake like that before. Or something similar at least. If war really was that close...then she had to train hard to keep surviving! She wanted to keep living afterall. So that is all that matters. And maybe the well-being of the village. If she got strong enough she wouldn't have to worry about dying or letting other's down...but she knew it wasn't that simple unfortunately.

She tilted her head a bit as Riku was summoned back to them and then summoned away again. Though, she didn't really have time to wonder about that when food was mentioned. Ramen sounded great! So without a word, she packed her things and for ready to go. "And you're going to be treating us right?" She spoke out while trailing behind the older woman. The question was half joking half serious. Because everyone knows free food tasted better after all! Plus, if they were supposed to meet another team that was supposed to pass...then that means they passed too! Perfect!

When they arrived she quickly took her seat and reached for a menu. Looking over the options while also glancing towards their sensei and her new teammates. Wanting to add to the conversation and also address one of her curiosities she turned towards Clair to ask her a question.

"Um. Clair sensei. About the whole tripping thing that could end the world story...has something like that ever happened to you and your team? You know...making a dumb mistake that causes something really bad?" She hoped she wasn't stirring up any unwanted memories, but it's probably the only thing that has stuck to her mind other than the possiblity of free food. She has a bit of a one tracked mind at times.

Rinka didn't make much in the terms of reacting to the words of Clair nor anyone else for that matter. After she had gathered her tools she sat on the ground and looked at each one with silent contemplation before putting them away. The fact that she messed up so horribly definitely had its impact.

It was a minute or two until Rinka dragged herself off the ground and followed behind the rest of them. She had a lot going on in her head but the fact she failed this badly right at her actual starting line of being a fully recognized ninja.

When they reached the ramen shop she quietly took a seat. She was avoiding eye contact with everyone and prompting to keep herself busy with folding her hands into different positions some of them not even hand signs. It was primarily a excersice to keep her hands flexible.

Gensou stops to give a long stare at Clair with a blank expression as she listens though it does seem to fall a little in disappointment with her final words. She honestly had been expecting more of a test, perhaps you could even say looking forward to tackling the monkey again in a new type of engagement through such thoughts were put to an end at this point.

Dropping her arms back to her side she would simply give a slight nod before starting to follow along to the new destination, namely what looked to be a seemingly random restaurant that had seen better days. Hoping up onto one of the seats she stares at the menu intently, reading away in silence as her teammates ask their questions.

TakeshiKagirame.pngTakeshi was still deep within his mind, trying to find ways of tracking down Riku without endangering their chances of passing any further. High was his surprise when Clair seemed to lose patience and summoned Riku back to her, abruptly ending the test and turning to go… eat?

Perfectionist as he was, his mind naturally drifted to the worst outcome. ’Is she… bored with us…? Have we taken too long thinking of our strategy? Did we even pass? If we did, was it out of pity…?’ He pursed his lips but didn’t speak his thoughts. Assuming they passed, they would get other opportunities to prove themselves. Hopefully.

Once they arrived at their destination, Takeshi was admittedly interested by Luna’s question -a bit of a direct and sensitive topic, mind you, but learning about others’ mistakes could help him and the girls perform better in future tests or missions.

… And he had to admit, ramen was good so no complaints there.

It didn't take long for the group to reach the ramen shop but by the time they had sunset was upon the village and the many nocturnal insects had begun their nightly song. Walking along the sand path Clair led her new team at a casual pace, clearly in no hurry to get where she was going, though to be fair she never really was. This allowed plenty of time for questions but for the most part, the entire journey was taken in silence, the sound of sandals against the sand their only companion up until the gates where finally the sound of others drowned out the silence overbearing on the group. Luna had asked a question of her own before departing from the test site but up until now, Clair had yet to answer. Indeed it wasn't until the group had the shop in sight that she acknowledged the question at all. "Minato will probably pay. It was his idea. Though if he doesn't I suppose... you three could find some work to do in return for your potions."
Clair was joking, of course, she would pay for the meal but her voice and face gave none of it away, in fact, it only made her words seem all that more serious.
1658718176414.png
Entering the shop Clair took a seat alongside the team and wasted no time at all ordering her food. Though after she had Luna asked yet another question, one that caught her off guard. Turning to the Girl Clair was just about to offer a response when she was cut off by a blonde-haired shinobi who had placed a hand on her shoulder. With a warm smile the man turned to the group and waved "Clair, making a dumb mistake on a mission and causing trouble? How absurd!" Feeling the mans grip tighten on her shoulder Clair began to laugh awkwardly as he continued "Clair here would never slip and fall on a stealth mission and completely give away her position causing absolute pandemonium and an inter village crisis that even managed to annoy the feudal lord. Dont be ridiculous... Clair is always very well prepared... isn't that right Clair".

Turning her head away to avoid eye contact Clair quietly took her food and began eating it as if completely removed from the topic. With Kakashi, Rin and Obito now taking seats of their own the conversation topic quickly changed to that of performance. "So, did they manage to grab the bells?" Freezing in place Clair was like a deer caught in headlights. nodding slowly after a brief break "y.yeh. The bells... they got them alright.... for real". Letting out a soft sigh the man shook his head "You forgot the bells didn't you... Though I suppose so long as you were able to observe and assess that's all that matters..." Turning to you four the man finally introduces himself "Sorry for the delay. My name's Minato and I'm Clair's old team leader. I believe you've already met my team members? Don't worry too much about failing. That was the point of the test after all."

Luna looked at Clair expectantly. Awaiting the answer that she would be getting, but soon turned attention to the other group of people who had approached them at the restaurant. Looking a bit amused at the blonde man's answer. "I see. That is quite a specific situation that didn't happen." She spoke sheepishly, noticing how embarrassed their sensei seemed to be and quickly went to order her food to try and escape that little hole she was about to dig herself in.

She peeked at her other teammates who didn't seem as engaged. Well, Takeshi seemed to be listening. But the other two seemed to have things on their mind. With Rinka seeming a bit upset or nervous...? Which made sense after the scolding she got from Clair. As for Gensou...she was staring holes into the menu. Which she could also relate to. Because all the options are very good! But since the other two didn't seem to be paying much attention, she wondered if Takeshi would say something but the subject changes fairly quickly. To bells? Guess that was mentioned a bit earlier, huh? Clair sensei has a bit of a different demeanor now compared to when they first met earlier.

When Minato introduced herself, she offered a small nod to him while giving a wave to his team. She didn't really know too much about those three other than their names. But that seemed like enough for now. "Uh, yeah..." Luna wasn't really sure how to respond to that last part...she didn't think she was the best to comment on that. As her teammates seemed more distraught about it than she did. "Er...maybe we will all feel more relaxed with a free lunch. Clair sensei said you would be paying for us all." Not exactly true, but that was basically what she heard from that interaction. And she seemed quite pleased with herself and her attempt to shift the topic back to food. Something that would hopefully make the air a bit easier for everyone to breath.

Rinka was listening, at least partially. She wasn't particularly keen on being involved in the conversation. Keeping up with her little exercise, she briefly glanced to Kakashi, Rin, Obito, and then Minato before returning her gaze to the wood of the table. Minato was a well known ninja in the village, there are few who didn't know of him.

Nodding a to herself she took off her tool pouch and set it upon the table in front of her deciding to do a bit of inventory. Ten shuriken, three kunai, Twenty senbon, and a small chakra channeling scroll for excersizing and improving control of chakra. She then took out a small brush and started to maintain them looking for chips and any damage on the weapons. That crazy strong monkey they fought today, she had to expect more than that from her missions. That is if she is allowed to continue being a ninja. After all it hasn't been made apparent if they passed or failed. She needed to be prepared. Even if she was failed she could always try again, next year, maybe. She paused in her brushing and frowned when she found the kunai that Clair had thrown back had a chip in it. "Unfortunate..." She sighed, setting it to the side and continued to maintain the rest.
