Fantasy Kiss of the Sea (Closed)

Death wasn't something new to Isolde but seeing someone killed was not something she could stomach naturally. It was only years of hardship and battle did she learn to harden herself against death. The only thing which kept her grounded were the principles which she developed, living by them so strictly so that the guilt won't crash into madness. She knew that if she didn't kill, she would be kill. For her it had always been life for life, blood for blood; and these men were clearly out to shed some.

So when she saw Aeneon stab through the pirate who was about to kill her, Isolde could only grit her teeth and accept the harsh reality of things. There was no room for pity. She had to be as cruel as rumors make her out to be. The reputation of her fierceness was one thing which kept her in power, thus she was merciless in her attacks, and made sure to always be within range in the case Aeneon was overwhelmed.

In all truth, it made her incredibly anxious to have him fighting out on deck, but it seemed the merman was just as equally stubborn and willful as she is. Even if she were to drag him back below deck, the blonde doubt he'd stay put. Not only that, he was actually helping in the battle, taking care of the blind spots Isolde left opened.

It wasn't long until Alec joined the two with a sword in his hand, equally surprised but glad to see Blue fighting alongside them.

"Was this your idea?" he asked in between clangs of metal. Isolde looked annoyed but couldn't spare either of them any attention.

"You think I'd want to risk him?" she snapped, fending off a pirate by kicking them in the shins. Her sword met home with their chest when they fumbled back. Losing footing for even a second costed him his life.

Alec could only roll his eyes and snort in Aeneon's direction. He was a veteran ex-knight and this level of swordplay was like child's play for him.

"Well aren't you loved."

Aeneon turned his back to Isolde, being the eyes behind her head, and he trusted she'd do the same for him. He had to learn on the spot, the movements of the humans, the way they struck their swords. he mostly blocked the weapons in defense. It appeared sword fighting on land was more grounded, limited. Under water, the attacker can move above or below. The humans had a smaller range of movements, they were slower too. Somehow, this knowledge of limited movements made things easier for Blue, he quickly learned to predict where the sword would land, his defenses becoming easier.

He had barely noticed Alec approach until he heard his words. His brow rose.. what did the man mean by that? Now wasn't the time to ponder those words. Momentarily distracted, his sword was knocked out of his hand, clattering to the side. He was quick to grab the dagger to plunge into the attacker's throat, dropping him.

"Men, HALT!" A loud booming voice startled the men, the fight ceased. An average height male stepped off the railing, boarding the Calypso. He wore no shirt, a leather strap that held his sword and a dagger was the only thing that donned his broad chest. Snug fitted black leather pants tucked into calf-high black boots, he had no shame in showing off what his sun-kissed body had to offer. His footsteps were heavy as he walked towards the center of the ship, white hair pulled back into a low ponytail.

The captain's lips sneered beneath his grey goatee, looking among the men with brilliant gold eyes. "Where is the captain of this ship hiding?" After studying each face, his gaze fell on Isolde. A devilish grin came to his lips as he looked over her carefully, head to toe and back up again. "Hmm.. I've heard this ship had a female captain."

His fingers remained lightly on the handle of his sword, making no move to remove it. Not unless he was attacked first. "Where is he? The half fish?"

Blue glanced briefly to Isolde before looking to this man, who was clearly the boss of the other ship. His hand tightened on the dagger, eying him carefully.

The fight dragged on longer than usual with both parties at a stalemate. This was particularly concerning because up until this point, Isolde has never met a formidable foe that could last longer than 10 minutes with her crew. Whoever the Captain was, they definitely weren't gathering a bunch of violent hoodlums like other pirates. These men were trained her like own. In cases like these, it was always better to cut off the head than swipe at the legs. When the Captain of the opposing ship made his presence known, even Isolde and her crew stopped to listen.

His bellows had her frowning and she couldn't help but shift just slightly behind Aeneon when his eyes skimmed over her. She immediately decided she didn't like this man, identifying him as a dangerous sort.

This kind of person, she thought with fearful disgust, If they can't be avoided, they should be killed. That thought alone brought a small bit of comfort.

"You're mistaken," Alec's voice rang out, stepping in front of Isolde and Aeneon. "I'm the Captain of this ship and there is no 'half fish' here. Go back or face the consequences!" He pointed his sword at the man.

Even though what Alec said wasn't true, it was one of the conditions Isolde had swore to the man, and one of the few (if not only) lies she tolerated. The Captain was always the first target and given Alec's appearance, it seemed only natural to assume that he was the Captain. Of course, that didn't stop those with better intel from getting wind of the truth or rumors of it. Isolde could only glare quietly from where she is, knowing that nothing good was going to come out of this.

So this man wanted to take what belonged to her? She'd sooner roll over and die or her name isn't Isolde!

With gritted teeth, she examined the scenario. Fortunately, her crew were still armed and on high alert, ready to fend for themselves at any time. But what worried her was the fact that someone had caught wind of Aeneon's existence. Could it be that there was a mole on board? The thought of a traitor had her face darkening. She would not spare anyone who betrayed her.

The captain peered over to Alec as he stepped forth, proclaiming he was the captain of the vessel. A corner of his lips curled up, "My apologies, captain." His hand rose, fingers dancing along the edge of the blade as he pressed down at the tip of Alec's sword, lowering it away from his chest. "I must have the wrong vessel."

Clearly he could see Alec was lying. Isolde gave it away with her expression, the sound of her teeth grinding in anger. Her charades to play an innocent girl hiding behind another failed. Aeneon gave it away when he looked to her when he called out the captain moments ago. This man was not stupid, he knew.

Two large men stepped up on either side of their captain at Alec's threat, hands at the ready at their swords. They made no move to attack.

"I suppose Derek has given me incorrect information." His gaze slid over to one of Isolde's men, who was now stepping away from Isolde's crew to the opposing side. There was no need to hide among her men anymore now that he was called out. Derek had no remorse for being the spy, giving a hard stare at Isolde.

A glance to the men that had stood guard at either side of the buff captain, he gave a slight nod, giving a silent order.

In perfect unison, as if planned, the two guards moved to attack Alec and Aeneon. The sudden move took the merman by surprise. His dagger caught the guard's sword as he was pushed away from Alec and Isolde. He grunted with a snarl- these men were powerful. Clearly well trained and will not back down easily. His bare feet scraped against the floor, struggling to stay stabilized in his defense mode.

The other guard was also successful in knocking Alec away from Isolde with his powerful punch and parry, giving their captain room to make his move.

The captain moved quickly, taking advantage of the commotion to easily snag Isolde, quickly disarming her, her sword clattering to the ground. His firm grip held her arms behind her back tightly, his dagger in his other hand, held firmly at her throat.

"I do not take kindly to being lied to, captain." He growled into her ear, his grip tightening in warning. He looked up as Isolde's men made a move to free her, "One step closer, your captain will find a watery grave!" He snapped a warning, his knife piercing slightly into Isolde's throat, letting her blood bubble from the tiny wound. "Tell your men to stand down, whore."

Isolde's knuckles went white from pressure when Derek's name was called out. He was the pirate who stabbed Blue with the pike and also the one who was excessively harsh when it came to taking Isolde's orders. Isolde had overlooked it as accidental but thinking about it now, Derek had always been malicious and vindictive. This was no doubt his way of getting back at her for dealing him "justice". The matching wound in his shoulder was proof of that.

"Traitor!" Isolde cursed, so angry that if looks could kill Derek would be dead on spot. "I'll feed you to the fucking dogs!"

But before anyone could attack, the enemy made their move first. Even with her reflexes and training, Isolde had been blinded by her rage and caught off guard by the sudden movement.

Though Alec had been knocked aside, he was still able to fight. Like the other crew members, hearing the man's threat while holding Isolde at knife point kept them from advancing, but not retreating. They were all equally furious.

Powerless, Isolde could only glare daggers up at her captor, more enraged than afraid. "Fuck you," she growled, unable to struggle lest she sacrifice her neck. When the knife nicked her, she hissed and looked sharply at Alec. Seeing the look in her eyes, he retreated back and her crew followed his lead.

Unlike Derek, the rest of Isolde's crew were deathly loyal. Most were picked up from past pirate battles or orphans found at taverns. Others were ex-knights like Alec who chose to stay loyal to their princess. Regardless of who it was, they all viewed Isolde as someone they respected, despite her ruthless rule. She was strict in punishment but not withholding in rewards. This kind of Captain had always been hard to serve for the undisciplined sorts, but those who could and did reaped great benefits.

Aeneon growled quietly, stepping back with Alec, lowering his dagger to his side. He did not like to see Isolde captured like this, he especially did not like to see her hurt. Right now he wanted to attack this man, but he did not wish to risk Isolde's life. For now, he stood back with Alec.

"Very good." The Captain grinned, his grip remaining tight on her. "Your men are loyal to you, I can see that. Hard traits to find these days." He peered over to Derek, giving a whistle to get his attention. "Derek! Grab the ropes!"

Derek saluted and easily found ropes. Once to the two captains, he followed orders and bound Isolde's hands behind her back. He yanked at the ropes, making sure it was good and tight at her wrists. He went the extra measure to tie the ropes to her ankles. Loose enough so she can walk, but restrained enough where she can't run or kick. Similar fashion to how Blue was tied up on the first day on ship.

"Grab him too." He motioned to Alec. Two men moved towards Alec to capture and tie him up as well. If Alec was smart, he would not fight. Isolde was still in danger with the knife at her throat.

Letting Derek take hold of Isolde, he stepped away to look among the men of the Calypso. "Now.. who is the half fish?"

Derek opened his mouth to speak, "Captain Jacor, it's..."

"Hush!" Jacor silenced Derek with a raise of his hand, "let me have some fun to figure it out. Just tell me if I am right." He grinned to Derek before moving among the men. His crew stood along side of Isolde's crew on the ready in case they should attack, weapons in hand.

Inspecting each male as he walked by as if they were a piece of meat. He eliminated each one as they passed. Too many scars, their faces were just too straight. Until he stopped by Aeneon.

"It's this one. I should've noticed the skin earlier." He smiled, pleased he had found his prize, his fingers reached over and brushed down along Aeneon's chest, tracing over the blue glimmer embedded in his naked torso. "He's cute too."

Aeneon snarled suddenly, his sharp canines extended as he slapped the man's hand away, "Leave us alone." The merman's blue eyes darkened in warning, gripping the dagger tighter.

"Feisty too. I like it." Jacor chuckled.

With her arm pulled back, despite the fact that the wound on her shoulder was healing nicely, the pressure was enough to make her hiss lowly in pain. When Derek came forward to tie her, she did not hold back on cursing him. Her colorful vocabulary was much more impressive than the average pirate and her verbal contempt was felt by everyone, particularly Derek who was growing uncomfortable at her swearing.

"If you don't shut up I'll cut your tongue out," Derek threatened, tightening the ropes so that it dug into her wrists. She glared haughtily.

"I'd like to see if you dare!"

Even as a captive, Isolde was all bark and bite, unafraid of death. However, the moment Jacor began scouting for Blue, she felt panic rise inside her. She all but held her breath, praying that he would get the wrong person in pointless futility. From dread came alarm and when Jacor had his hands on Blue, Isolde all but exploded.

"Don't you dare touch him!" Isolde began struggling but instead of leaning forward, she squirmed backwards, just enough for her to lean her chin down and catch the blade at her neck between her teeth. Her actions were quick and it caught Derek off guard. With a yank, she pulled the blade from his hands with her teeth and swung around, letting go of the knife just as it stabbed into Derek's chest. It wasn't enough to be fatal but with the way it jutted, it definitely hurt a ton.

Though her hands and legs were tied, Isolde was like liquid spitfire. She fought every inch of the way, using her shoulder and her head, and even managed to kick someone back by jumping up with both feet. It wasn't until she felt a strong force slam against the back of her neck did she fall slack. Her body twitched, paralyzed from the hit pressure point, but somehow she still managed to remain conscious.

"Crazy bitch," one of the pirates snarled, yanking her head back by the hair. She spat in his face, earning a hard slap to the cheek. The force had her lip splitting and she turned her head back to glare fiercely at the man. As long as she was awake, she wouldn't stop fighting.

Isolde was hoping that her scuffle would distract the pirates enough for Blue to run. He needed to escape. So long as he was back in the ocean, he would be safe.

Jacor growled when he saw Derek bleed with the knife at his chest. While he may be cruel and ruthless, he did care about his men. Two other men jumped in Isolde to restrain her, fighting every step of the way. While she fought, the two opposing sides began to fight once again. While the Calypso men were strong, the Black Serpent men were stronger, easily overpowering them now that their captain was restrained. Swords sliced throats of two of Isolde's men, their bodies falling with a hard thud.

Once Isolde was down from the recoil of her kick, the heal of Jacor's boot moved to her face, forcing her cheek to kiss the floor. He applied pressure, threatening to put his full weight upon her head if she'd fight back. "Do you want to lose any more of your men? Settle yourself, bitch." He spat into her face before ordering one of his men to hog-tie her, restricting her movements even further. Lifting his foot off her once she was securely hog-tied, he turned back towards Aeneon, looking over the merman carefully from head to toe.

Aeneon made no move to flee. He had made a vow to Isolde that he will not run. His growls were low, animal-like, "It's me you want. Leave her alone. Do not hurt her anymore."

Jacor's hand gripped Blue's jaws, pulling the merman closer, silencing his snarls, "Such a loyal pet. She would've remained unharmed if she'd comply." His fingers stroked down along Aenoen's cheek. "So handsome. Soft skin." He gave a side glance to Isolde, "It'd be a shame to mar such a pretty face. Do what you are told and he will remain unscarred."

"Bring them aboard the Black Serpent- don't forget this one." He motioned to Alec, ensuring the bound male will not throw a surprise attack. "Throw the him into the cell below. The fish and the whore in my suite." He barked at his men. "The rest of you, plunder what you can."

His men split into groups. Few taking Isolde across ships towards his chambers. Several has gone rummaging through the Calypso for supplies and treasures, the rest stood guard, preventing the Calypso men from attacking.

Aeneon did not want any more fights, he did not want any more harm to anyone else. He looked over to Isolde with an almost apologetic expression as he allowed Jacor to push him towards the opposing ship and into the captain's quarters.

As merciless and cruel as she was made out to be, no one would stay loyal to someone who was completely heartless. When she saw two of her crew members killed, she could only cry out in vain. If she was restricted before, she was even more so tied up in a more complex and shameful way. Her eyes were bloodshot from anger and the blonde could do nothing but grit her teeth against her loss. What she feared wasn't death. She's been in countless hostage situations before and so long as she had breath, she would fight to escape, more willfully than Aeneon ever has.

But her drive and motivation was almost immediately killed, doused like cold water on a flame, when she saw that Aeneon hadn't left. The merman had still stayed and the disappointment in her gaze was crushing.

"Why," she could only mouth, her throat restricting when she watched Jacor caress Aeneon without the merman fighting back in the least. Isolde hung her head in defeat. Her pained expression was hidden by her unruly golden hair.

"I won't fight. Just don't hurt any more of my men," she said quietly. There was not much more she could do but anticipate the worst.
