Kentrunatum -=InfiniteChaos & WolfOfProphecys=-

InfiniteChaos

Oblivioux
As seen from old prophecy's, a Kentrunatum (kenn-truh-nate-em) is a rare wolf in which they they poses every possible power in the world. These wolves do not know they poses such power unless they discover the powers all together, or learn each individual power on their own. These wolves either use these powers for good, or evil. Though the only issues that come with Kentrunatums is that they cannot be stopped unless another Kentrunatum stops them.

In-Character

Though it has said that wolves have had elemental powers for millenniums now. Wolves with the ability to create extraordinary things using the powers they have possessed. Or also have the ability to destroy what others have created.

Many years ago, the packs in the Stem, a long winding river that stretches thousands of miles wide through flat fields and through mountains. Were separated based upon their abilities with their powers. Earth, Air, Fire, Ice, Electricity, Darkness, and Light. Each had their own large pack that was divided based upon the annual expo in which members of the upper class, called The Council, will divide the wolves away from their parents after they've matured of age (Two years.)

After separation, most don't see their parents again. While this was a pretty brutal, and cruel tactic, it kept packs in line and powerful towards each other. They were able to keep packs in check. One pack couldn't get too powerful so long as the others were able to fight back against them.

Though why explain this when this is no longer how things run? There are still wolves out there that wish this type of ruling would exist once more. Mixing powers could be a dangerous thing to nature and wolves alike.

The packs of the past still exist to this day, but they are no longer separated based upon power, Parents can be with their children until their eldest of years and the children can live on knowing their parents very well.

Most of the older packs had grown to be too large to be governed by one central Alpha. Now these packs have split into separate villages, all with their own alpha, that are kept in check by the Alpha of the pack. A similar type of system is used with the United States of America.

In one of the villages, a pretty small village, was wrapped around by a river rapids. The morning sun was peaking over the near by mountains, fog blanketed the distant fields and light stringy clouds stuck to the sky. The day was perfect for outside playing. Though a storm front was coming by that night, which was going to be quite a powerful storm. A storm powerful enough to seal the fate of one wolf within the village.

Though that wasn't going to happen yet. As a female wolf named Esterlynn was slowly creeping up upon her sleeping sister Astaroth. A smirk grew on Esterlynn's face as she came got up to her and then suddenly jumped up and pounced on the sleeping Astaroth. "Wake up lil-sis!" the female yelled out as she jumped off of Astaroth and looked back at her, wagging her tail lightly.

Astaroth had been quite happy to sleep, curled up comfortably where she usually slept. Of course, she hadn't expected her older sister to jump on her. She woke with a start, squeaking softly and scrambling up even as she realised who it was. Huffing, she shook herself, "I was sleeping Esterlynn....Couldn't it wait?" She mumbled sleepily, grumbling to herself. She quietly began to groom her pelt.

Unlike everyone else in the Pack, Astaroth didn't have powers. Really, it wouldn't have bothered her, had she not been bullied her whole life for not being able to move water, the ground, the shadows, or anything else really. She was jealous of her sister a little, with her wind manipulation and generation, wishing she could do something like that. Even if it was something small and useless, at least she'd have a power. She wouldn't be the weakling of the Pack then, she'd have an actual purpose.

She gave a yawn, "Why'd you wake me anyway? Can't be that late..." She huffed

Esterlynn smiled at Astaroth's mumbling and grumbling as she started trotting around her happily. "How many times do we 'aut to go over this Star!" She spoke almost excitingly as she stopped in front of her and was nose to nose with Astaroth. "Avian is in the village today!" She then finished excitingly.

Avian was the Alpha of the Appalachian Pack. It used to be the Air/Wind pack of the Stem, and they were coming to see them at the Cardigan village. The village where obviously Esterlynn and Astaroth lived in. Even though Astaroth didn't have any powers, her sister Esterlynn was still someone to count on. Even if she was obnoxious with her ability to manipulate the air and wind around her. Though since she was a teen, almost two years old in a month or so, she still has weak powers. Overtime your powers grow as you grow, and since Esterlynn was only almost two, her powers were still weak. Though she can still knock down people with a wind blast, and that was always fun.

Astaroth groaned, remembering even as her sister reminded her. She knew how much this excited her sister, and she knew she'd be excited too if she was a wind manipulator. But she wasn't. She wasn't anything. And the reminder that her sister was powered put her mood down, but she refused to show it and ruin her sisters day.

"Is it that day already?" She moaned, "Fineeeeee" She added, shaking her head slightly at her older sisters enthusiasm. Really, this was another chance for someone to bully her, but she was sure if she tried to stick close to her sister maybe no one would notice her. Or she could sneak off halfway through, when her sister was occupied with fawning over the Air Alpha

Esterlynn smiled at her younger sister as she hopped around her again and then headed out of the little home they had. Their parents were already working for the day, so it was just her and her little sister. Their mother wasn't really a fertile one. Only able to deliver one pup both times she was pregnant. She only ended up with Esterlynn and Astaroth. Which Esterlynn was just fine with, she liked having just a younger sister and not 5 younger sisters and brothers like most families.

Esterlynn is awe-inspired by Avian, she wanted to be like him. The ability to generate wind at any given direction, and even channel wind perfectly that you could float and fly in the air. She would have to learn how to do this on her own though, and not with any help. Just like with any other power, you had to learn them on your own without any help from others. Or else it just wouldn't work.

Astaroth felt a little happy that her sibling was so happy. It brightened her mood a little to see the older she-wolf bounding around like a pup again. She sighed, and slowly moved after Esterlynn at a slower rate. She was somewhat glad they had no more siblings, because Astaroth always wondered whether their parents would forget about her if they did have more pups. If their powerless member of the family would be pushed away. Because to have no powers was like being a cat. You just didn't fit in.

Usually Astaroth took to staying inside, or wandering into the forest alone. Anywhere that she could get away from the bullies and the judgemental stares. It seemed to Astaroth that the only wolves that liked her were her family, and even they only liked her because she was their blood relative. She was sure that if she wasn't, then even Esterlynn would ignore her

Esterlynn hopped up onto the roof of the home they were in. Since they were kind of higher into the mountain, she could see the entire village above the tree line that was on the ground level. She looked around at the vast town below, seeing the wolves walking around, kids playing. It was so nice here. She smiled softly as looked to Astaroth and smiled again.

"Ester!" A voice soon called out as she looked over to see a male wolf, with mostly brown markings coming towards their home. Ester and Astar were mostly white wolves with some hint of grey. Though when the male wolf noticed Astar, he gave her an almost cold stare before looking at Ester. "You comin'?" he then asked.

Esterlynn nodded to the male wolf, who was a Water based power wolf, she then spoke up, "Comin' Tempest!" She smiled at him, and then looked at Star before hopping down landing right next to her and then looked to her sister. "Come on Star, They won't bother you as long as you're with me. You know this." She spoke and smiled. She had to kind of hand it to Astaroth, since she is her older-sister she had to be at least protective. It helped since most were afraid of her because even though she is technically weak with her powers, she's actually the strongest of their age when it comes to their powers. Mostly because she plays with her powers for hours on end alone.

Astaroth stayed on the ground, where she felt safer. She didn't need to be falling off the roof and making a fool of herself when she was already made fun of. She peered up at Ester quietly, sitting as she waited for her sister to come back down. She licked at a dirty patch on her white fur. If anything she was clean, it was one of the only things she could be proud of around here.

She jumped when a male wolf approached, recognising him as Tempest. She shied away under his cold stare, flattening her ears nervously. She knew one of her sisters friend would be joining them, at least one, but she also wished that she could be with her sister alone for a while. But she said nothing, too shy and nervous to say much else.

Astaroth was smaller than her sister after all, both in size and age. Her legs were longer, and her body smaller, which made her quite clumsy with her own paws. She just nodded to her sister when the other asked her to go along. She knew they wouldn't bother her with Ester near, but what about when Ester became distracted by the Alpha that was coming through?

Ester smiled at Tempest as he came up to her, and she gave him a light nuzzle. Obviously the pair was together in a relationship, but it was a mostly quiet relationship, because strict parents. A light nuzzle will do and Ester soon headed off with Tempest, looking back at Star to make sure her sister was coming.

Ester stayed by Tempest side, between him and Star, that way he couldn't do anything like star at her. Even then, Tempest doesn't dare because of the way Ester runs things. Today was pretty quiet today. Which was a little odd, especially for Ester. Why wouldn't people be excited to see Avian, this was all for his campaign to keep power though. Which obviously he will, but he still needs to keep his image.

But why was no one around...?

Astaroth was nervous suddenly, when she realised no one was around, "Where is everyone?" She mumbled. Surely someone would be excited to see the Alpha, not just Ester? Were they even meant to be out? Had something happened? Astaroth didn't know, she hadn't even seen their parents that morning.

She tucked her tail beneath her, unsure, "I...I think we should go..." She added, looking to her sister with worry in her eyes. She had never known the village to be this quiet before, it was like a ghost town. Unless everyone was hiding or still asleep, both things which she found unlikely, then there was something else going on

Surely something had to happen. No one was around, yet there was people earlier. Soon she began to notice some military like wolves as they got closer to the town square... Did something happen?

Suddenly she perked her ears when someone yelled out to them "You three! Stop!" the voice said, she looked towards their left to see a wolf of Military like posture come up to them. "Sorry guys, You have to leave right now." The wolf stated, and Ester looked at him confused.

"Why? We were going to see Aviar." She stated as she looked at the military wolf.

"Something's happened. Everyone needs to be away from the square." He stated, and Ester slowly pulled her ears back. Something happened? But what? What could possibly stop Aviar from meeting the village.

"What's happened?" Tempest soon perped up to hopefully get an answer but the military wolf stood his ground

"Something we're not at liberty to say. Now get going." The wolf finished and Ester kept her ears where they were as she looked at Star kind of worryingly.

Astaroth stayed quiet. She didn't like talking to anyone, but the Military Wolves being here made her even more nervous. She shuffled upon the spot, wondering what had happened along with her sister and Tempest, but not muttering a word. After all, she was a powerless nobody, who would listen to her?

She looked over at her sister quietly, really hoping Ester wasn't planning on sneaking anywhere to find out what had happened. After all, Astaroth would much prefer to keep out of trouble, seeing as she could never really get herself out of it.

Ester sighed and looked at Tempest and said "Come on then Temp. No need to make the guard stay longer." She stated and turned around, along with Tempest and she looked at Star and said "Come on lil' sis" She stated to her and then look forward thinking on how to figure out what happened. Obviously it was something bad, but how bad...

She looked at all of the roads, everything was guarded... There was no way to actually see into area... Unless you were higher up. She swore that everything was normal before they got down there. So what happened as they were getting here?

The wind shifted a few different times, obviously Ester was angered and upset. She wanted to see her idol... and the wind was showing that.

"Calm down Est." Tempest said looking at her as the wind went around lightly near them.

Astaroth's ears flattened as the wind picked up, looking to her sister. She knew Ester was upset because of not seeing her idol, but Astaroth had a bad feeling. Why was the military here? Something big must have happened for them to appear in the little village, and it made Astaroth nervous. Because unlike everyone else, she only had claws and teeth to protect her.

She looked at the other two, "Ester, I'm sorry. I know how much you wanted to see him" She apologised softly, even though it wasn't her fault. Then again, many wolves saw her as a unlucky sign anyway, so maybe it was her fault

Ester looked over at Star and smiled softly acknowledging her words and then gave her a light nuzzle as a thanks but she didn't say anything. She was looking forward to this day all week, and she will still make it a good day as long as she could try.

Nowadays the way wolves communicate, at least large events, is through telepathic communications, though the News stories were kept to the people who wanted to hear them, and Major announcements were broadcasted to everyone at the same time. It's a really complicated system of things.

At that moment a sudden voice came through all three of their heads.

"Villagers of Cardigan. In 10 minutes a spokeswolf will make an announcement regarding the condition of Avian. Please do attend." The voice stated, a female voice, obviously of military power to do something like that. Telekinesis was one of those sort of rare-powers, but people have come to find that you can mix powers and keep powers going strong as long as both the male and female parents are of the same power. Which is why Astaroth didn't have any powers, well. It's a reason why. Because both of their parents had different powers. She was stuck with her mother's Air/wind side of things, but It was unknown why Astaroth didn't get one or both of their parents powers.

It kind of sucked, since Star didn't have friends to be with to make her feel less awkward. She felt like if she actually did have a power then people would actually like her. She was a really pretty wolf. Nearly the same as her, but obviously her mind says she's prettier, especially because she's older.

Astaroth closed her eyes for a moment as her sister nuzzled her. Really Ester was the only wolf that Astaroth let touch her, even their parents Astaroth was wary of being near. Maybe it was because most of their friends always told their parents how sorry they felt for them, having to raise a powerless pup.

She wanted to know why. Why she was left out of the entire power thing. She hadn't heard of another wolf her age without powers, especially when their parents both had powers, although different. Aggaroth had made the choice that she'd never mate with anyone, she didn't ever want another pup to be powerless.

She jolted as the telepathic voice came through her head, and she shivered, not liking it. She looked up and at Ester, "What do they mean, the 'condition of Avian'?" She asked, "What if someone attacked him? It would explain the military..." She paused, flattening her ears suddenly when she realised she was speaking in front of Tempest too, who she was wary of

Tempest and Ester both looked at her quickly when she made the suggestion that he was attacked. Though Tempest did his best to keep Ester calm. "Nonsense. Best leader in the Stem, he wouldn't just let anyone attack him." He kind of tossed out Coldly, and Ester looked at him with the look that she knew that he was being a bit of a pushover with Astaroth. Especially with his cold tone.

"We will find out in 10 minutes." Ester responded back without looking at either of them and she trotted ahead of them, Leaving Astaroth with Tempest

Tempest watched as Ester left them behind, and he looked at Star before mumbling. "Powerless mutt..." As he moved away from her to leave Astaroth alone.

Astaroth didn't like the way her idea was brushed off, and she flattened her ears. It wasn't as if she could argue, but she grumbled instead, "No one lets anyone attack them. It happens anyway" She growled to herself as she watched Ester walk off. She felt sorry for her sister, who had been waiting to meet her idol for a long time now.

She blinked at Tempest as he spoke to her quietly, and flattened her ears. It was something she was used to, but she didn't like it anyway. She found that she suddenly didn't want to follow her sister, and decided upon something. Disappearing between buildings, she climbed unsteadily onto a roof, and started walking carefully toward the town centre, being careful. She wanted to see what was happening, and was going to prove she wasn't a weakling

Ester sighed softly as she thought for a while, not sure what to do now since all she wanted to do was meet her idol, but at the same time. She probably couldn't.

In the town center, wolves of all different colours and power class were around where Avian's body was. He was dead. A wolf had came out and attacked him suddenly with very extreme powers. The wolf in question was never see by anyone, and everyone was questioned. Something major happened and no one could figure out why it happened. How could someone beat Avian at the power game when he was one of the most powerful in the Stem. It was only a simple question though.

Astaroth moved to the edge of a building, and her eyes widened at the sight. She had been right. She had been right, and she didn't ever want to be right again.

So she turned tail and ran. Bolting across the rooftops like a mad wolf, leaping down when she could and bolting through the streets. She pushed past her own sister and her partner eventually, a frightened, upset look in her soft blue eyes.

Ester jumped as Star ran past her and Tempest was a little surprised. "Maybe her power is super-speed." he stated and then grunted when Ester elbowed him in the side and she began to run after Star quickly. "Hey! Wait up lil' sis!" She spoke, she used her wind to cast a gust if wind in front of her sister to slow her down, and she soon caught up to Star eventually and stopped her.

"Calm down there, what's going on?" She asked.

Astaroth slowed when she felt the wind in front of her, inwardly panicking. She had never seen someone dead before, let alone that brutally murdered. She shivered, turning to her sister with tears in her eyes, body shaking, "He's dead Ester! Dead!" She squeaked, "I told you...I told you he was attacked and you didn't believe me! He's dead"

Ester watched as Astaroth was panicking. She had never seen her lil' sister like this before... but how did she know? A question for another time. She tried her best to calm her down. "Alright Star, calm down now. Don't need to cause a mass panic." She stated as she nuzzled her sister lightly and looked into her blue eyes. "Go home, I'll be there in a few minutes." She stated and looked at Tempest who lightly heard Star freaking out, but obviously he didn't believe her.

"You still don't believe me" Astaroth hiccuped between panicked breaths, "No one ever does" She sniffled, before she ran again, this time toward home. She scampered in, and went to her bed, where she instantly flopped and curled into a ball, sobbing. Who could have even done such a thing? Avian was one of the strongest Alphas in the Stem, if everyone elses words were the truth

Ester sighed as she ran off and looked at Tempest. She came up to him, and gave him a quick nuzzle once more before going off. Had her idol really been killed? Such a lovely day...

Ester returned home later, but decided to leave Astaroth alone for a little while. As their parents came home to a pretty quiet home, Ester decided that she should take Astaroth. Especially since she was confirmed by her parents that Avian did died today.

The sun was beginning to set, though the clouds coming in made the sun's light disappear before it could reach the horizon. Ester came into Astaroth's room slowly looking at her and then spoke up lightly to her. "Star...?"
