Welcome, welcome! As the title states, this is just another 1x1 recruitment thread so I'll try and keep this short and simple (and not too overwhelming, because I do tend to waffle and I'm already doing it now). Anyhow, if you'd like to see the nitty gritty of what I'd like out of a partner, a roleplay and all that jazz, please peruse the tabs below; if not, then the back button is floating around this page somewhere. In any case, I hope you enjoy your stay in my humble thread!

• Country of Residence: Australia (AEST; or GMT +10)
  Times Online: 11pm to 1pm (GMT; i.e. 9am to 11pm AEST)
  Current Occupations: university student; mathematics/english tutor
  Hobbies: (aka secondary occupations apart from roleplaying) fanfiction writer/beta-reader
  Post Rate: depends on how motivated I am and how much time I have, but I can usually go a few times a day
• PMs or Threads? threads are preferable, but I'm not too opposed to PMs if that's how you work
  Character Limits: I've roleplayed 10 characters at a time before... but I'd prefer starting with one and going from there
  Character Faceclaims: my bias is realistically-drawn characters, but I'm game to use RL FCs if you swing that way
  Pairing Dynamics: I'm accustomed to writing for M x M but I'd love to explore a good M x F or F x F, given the chance
  Writing Perspective: I've never tried anything other than third-person and I'm not intent on changing that
  Literacy Level: I'm a stickler for good English so if you can't keep your posts mostly free of errors, I won't bite
  Post Length: Given that I've proven myself to be a waffler, you can expect posts that are more than 2 paragraphs in length. I tend to match or exceed people on length, simply because I waffle when I'm excited, but note that the less information you give me to work with, the less I'll incorporate into the post (and vice versa)
  
• Fandoms: Sorry, I don't like roleplaying fandoms... but I do like using the ideas from fandoms and incorporating them into a spiritual successor. For instance, if you approached me with a Tower of God-esque idea using the tower but OCs and variant mechanisms, I'd be all for it, but I wouldn't want to do a 'let's have Character A and B sub in for Baam' thing. If you'd like to know what fandoms I'm interested in, PM me and I'll give you an exhaustive list of what I know and like. Alternately, PM me with what you know and I'll say if I know it, don't know it etc.
  Genres: I'm a sucker for psychological horror and post-apocalypses but honestly, so long as we're not going for a perfect love story, I'm amenable to whatever. If you've got a solid plot in mind then that's fantastic; otherwise, throw a genre at me and I'll bounce ideas off you.
  Plotlines: If a plot exists then I'm a happy chap, but even if one doesn't exist, I'm amenable to building one as we go along. However, if you're the person that can't roleplay if it's an aimless, reaction-based thing, please tell me so we can muddle through a plot together and work on it as we go along.
• State of Being, State of Mind
  When the landowner's pet rabbit gets run over, one fine morning, nobody's surprised by its death; after all, it was prone to fleeing its cage whenever it could... but when the landowner's daughter dies the day after, everyone is understandably rattled. Naturally, everyone wants to leave as soon as possible; except the dawn brings more than just a few terrified residents to light, and it's up to the residents to figure out what (or who) is preventing them from leaving before they, too, die at its hands.
  
  Reality's Illusions - claimed by Auricula
  It was supposed to be their happily ever after in the idyllic world. It was supposed to last forever, be filled with a white-picket fence and consist of two children (and a dog). It was supposed to be perfect, a drop-dead boring love story... but then there's a meteor shower, the sky's cracking open and they wake to a white room with nothing more than half-faded memories. Oh, and apparently it's been years since a human's actually lived on Earth, so there's that too.
  
  FiViR
  Virtual realities are all the craze, but the Final Virtual Reality (or FiViR for short) is the game to end all games. With its startlingly realistic world and its almost limitless capabilities, it's no wonder that people have dedicated their entire lives to it, and some have been lucky enough to make a living out of it. Not everything is fine and dandy for the lucky few who are the public faces of the game, though, but one person's about to find it out the hard way... especially when the past comes knocking.
  
  Crooked Fairytails
  Owning a pet is a rather large responsibility, especially for overworked college students that can barely afford their own necessities, but the company's nice and there are worse things to be had. However, when a particularly strenuous day ends with a naked person in their apartment, things are about to get a whole lot worse. Especially since there's no sign of their pet and their collar is... on the naked person's neck...?
  
  I am also a sucker for sci-fi, dystopia, post-apocalyptic and horror ideas of almost all sorts, so hit me up if you've got an idea in that category!

Hi there! I'm Raspy, and I think I might be interested in writing with you!
First thing's first, though:
I'm 22 and living in the PST, have been writing for quite a while, and write mainly f//. Lately I've been more into Modern type role plays, I also tend to lean away from meet-cute's and grandiose romances and more towards characters with questionable personalities in questionable situations. Quarter life crises, drama, characters that start out basically incompatible with each other, then through the magic of character development become slightly less incompatible. lol.

So I've been trying to find someone to do a post apocalyptic style role-play (with a soft maybe when it comes to including zombies) for a while, but honestly I'd be down to throw ideas around and see what sticks!

But before this gets a little too convoluted with information, I'd love to hear whether or not you think we'd be a good fit! Here's my search thread if you're so inclined. Most of my information is in there, including a few samples. I hope you'll find it useful.

Minor updates have been made to the About Me, Mechanics and Other tabs, and a new tab (Ideas) has been added! Feel free to check them out if you'd like to know what's been included (but for those who would like a quick summary, I've basically added the times I'm usually online, my preferences for character faceclaims & my partner's literacy level, a few ideas lurking in my ideas folder and a list of members I'm currently roleplaying with or who I am considering for partners).

The next update will likely include post samples, but that'll happen when I remember where they're lurking (and whether I'm willing to post them up, given that I've been pretty on and off with roleplaying in the past half-year).

With that being said, I can pull roleplay samples from another site so if you'd like me to send some your way, I'll go digging later.

I'm online more than I'm offline (unless there's classes, in which case classes take precedence and I focus on that instead) but timezones generally aren't a problem with me, especially since I can't push out posts immediately and I don't expect my partner to do the same. As for my use of 'waffle'... I don't know where I picked it up from, but now 'waffle' is synonymous with 'drivel' for me, except it sounds cuter and more like fluff than just the mindless ravings of a talkative person~

Anyhow, I've nosed around your posts on the site so far but, from what I've seen so far, I feel as though our literacy levels may be incompatible. With that being said, you're more than welcome to convince me otherwise with a writing sample. Otherwise, good luck with your own partner search!

I can send you a few examples, although I haven't been writing as much as of late because it is exam season after all! Although while I get that together would you mind telling my why you believe us to be incompatible? Is it my style of writing? The amount? Grammar? I'd love you know!

Minor updates have been made to the Ideas and Other tabs, as someone has claimed an idea and I've procured enough 1x1 partners to close this off! Thank you to everyone who's either privately messaged me or posted their interest onto here, but I'm afraid that I can't go over 3 partners (for the sake of my sanity more than anything else) so this thread will stay closed until further notice.

However, I'll post here again when I'm ready to find partners again! With any luck, that will be when I start devoting less time to my writing and more time to roleplaying (and not when my 1x1s die and I need to scout out new partners to fill the gap).

Oh no, I didn't mean to convey the impression that I was put off by your query! It's just that I find it very hard to associate 'interesting' and its synonyms with anything that isn't negative, mostly because my English teachers had a habit of saying my writing was 'interesting' and then giving me low marks for it orz As for your other query, I'll respond to it through our PM~
