Personality: Jin is your drunk uncle or functioning alcoholic history teacher. He’s knowledgeable, sarcastic, and sometimes he really doesn’t mean to say certain things out loud but it comes out anyway.

History: Jin grew up in the Kamatari Clan which is a sorcerer family. He’s known the life of being a Jujutsu sorcerer from the very start. His parents never inherited the Three Winds Technique and were instead practitioners of the New Shadow Style but also were limited as far as their place within the clan. When he manifested the Three Winds the main branch of clan tried to take primary custody of him but his parents refused even though it would have strengthened his chances of becoming the next head of the Kamatari family.

In protest the Kamatari main branch refused to provide him a mentor for his innate technique. Instead, Jin had to figure out the Three Winds on his own with only scrolls on the subject. His parents although ensured he was trained in Swordmanship, and cursed energy manipulation.

Jin studied Jujutsu at the Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High School. For his first two years, he was only able to become a Grade 2 from his proficiency in other skills outside of his innate technique. However, his lack of proficiency in his innate technique kept his as a Grade 2 until his senior year. It was then that the Kamatari clan changed their mind and chose to help Jin master the Three Winds Technique. He graduated as a Semi First Grade sorcerer.

During the recent events, a new initiative has started to take root amongst sorcerer families associated with Kyoto Jujutsu High. Several families not subordinate to any of the Three Great Clans has formed the Kyoto Neo Great Clan Initiative which aims to eventually combine it’s members into a new great clan through the combining of its members. In return for joining, member clans are also being taught the art of Domain Amplification. Jin suspects this is why the Kamatari clan really changed its mind so that way he’d participate. Fortunately, he saw merit in not only being taught how to use his innate technique but being able to learn Domain Amplification. Only then was he able to become a First Grade sorcerer.

The recent Idle Transfiguration Apocalypse has actually proven advantageous and opportune for the Kyoto Neo Great Clan Initiative.

Jujutsu: (Includes Heavenly Pacts, Binding Vows)

Three Winds Technique, the inherited technique that of the Kamatari clan, is based on the concept of the Kamaitachi. He has yet to figure out how to use Maximum or Domain Expansion.
  1. First Wind, is the wind that blows or knocks. It functions like wind based telekinesis allowing push, pull, blow, and lift of others as well as himself.
  2. Second Wind, is the wind that cuts. He forms wind into razor wind that currents that slash or cut its most often blended with his swordsmanship. This allows him to extend the range of his slashes over long distances.
  3. Third Wind, is the wind that heals. It provides limited healing mainly stopping bleeding and hemorrhaging.

Domain Amplification, similar to the Simple Domain. Jin uses it to nullify others Curse Techniques and in theory the effects imbued in others’ domains. He does not imbue his domain amplification with his curse technique. However, he does apply domain amplification to his blade as well as his body allowing him to cut through the curse techniques of others.

Cursed Energy, Jin can utilize cursed energy manipulation. He can infuse his attacks, blades, and himself with cursed energy to improve efficacy. He is also moderately skilled in detecting cursed energy including watching the flow of cursed energy in his opponents for overly obvious attacks.

Equipment: He uses two katana which he imbues with cursed energy or his innate technique. He is hoping in the future they became engraved with his cursed technique and become cursed tools.

Weaknesses:
  • When using domain amplification he loses use of his innate technique. One of the main problems is he loses the ability to execute ranged attacks.
  • Disarmament as he is mainly skilled at swordsmanship. He could not hold up on hand to hand combat against a real martial artist.
  • His innate technique is subject to the elemental weaknesses of Air or Wind.
  • His cursed energy reading isn’t acute enough to predict most attacks just the ones that have a large amount of cursed energy relative to the rest of the body.

    tall, athletic in build, naturally has a long and slim shape, but is well muscled and was wide set shoulders.

    being fragile has always defined seiji shinohara, and so of course it’s written across his face. a gaunt, rather sad look. small features. when he was younger, he was the little kid who got their cheeks pinched and their noses tapped with a sweet smile and comments about how “aren’t they just a cute little thing?”

    as seiji got older, though, people’s opinions changed. when he was no longer a little kid, his appearance started to grow unnerving to people. the constant sour look on his face became “moody” and “miserable” instead of “adorably precocious.” constant illness started to take its toll on him. he thinned out (which people praised him for…until they reached their limit. either realizing it was unhealthy or “it made him look like a girl”, depending on their reason to want him to be skinny.) he grew even paler. heavy bags hug under his eyes, to the point that “are you okay?” is a regular question from people who think seiji's somehow managed two black eyes.

    the notable features would be the things that never changed. there’s always a fragile air about him, no matter how hard he tries to dispel it. an almost permanent frown plastered on his face. eyes that are a bit too big for the rest of his features.

Liz's cursed technique allows her to summon three dice that she can use to play a round of Chinchirorin with.

Liz is able to bet a percentage of her cursed energy on the game and gain or lose an amount of cursed energy equal to the payout of the roll.

She is, however, unable to bet more cursed energy than she could repay if she were to get triple ones.

The game is pretty easy. In short, you roll three dice and try to get one pair. The number of the the remaining die is the "point". In a two player game, the winner is whoever has the biggest point value (save for any special rolls). However, since the game played with cursed technique is a single person game, the point value doesn't matter much, aside from the fact that any roll with a point of one is an instant loss.

If the player gets a roll with a point value other than one, they'll receive an payout equal to their bet. If they get a roll with either a point value of one or no point value at all, they have to pay the amount of cursed energy they betted.

There are also a couple of special roles, if the players rolls 4,5,6 they'll recive double their payout. But if they roll a 1,2,3 they have to pay double their stake.

If they roll the same number thrice, they get a payout of three times what they bet. But if they roll three ones they have to pay triple the amount they wagered.

For balance reasons I'll actually use this forum's dice rolling mechanic to determine my character's rolls.

By limiting her normal cursed energy output, this binding vow lets Liz gain more cursed energy the more damage she takes.

Obviously, she'll loose any cursed energy gained if she's healed by reversed cursed technique.

This binding vow works in unison with the above one and lets Liz bet potential cursed energy she doesn't yet have. In return, should she be unable to pay her stake, this binding vow will cause her body to injure itself in order to create enough cursed energy to pay of her debt.

There are naturally still limits to this. Her body can only generate 200% of her normal cursed energy output through damage (and doing so would kill her) thus she can't bet anything that goes above that.

Damage inflicted by this binding vow can't be healed.

Liz is able to use reverse cursed technique to heal damage both to herself and other people.

Hoit was a simple teenager before he awakened. He went to school, hung out with his friends, played games and sports. Maybe he was a bit of a jerk at times, but he'd still prove himself to be a good kid. So, when he first awakened his Sorcery, he'd thought it was his lucky day. That was, until he learned what his technique was.

Immediately, Jujutsu sorcerers descened upon him and took him away. He was thrown into a maximum security cell below Alcatraz, cut off from the rest of the world with only other prisoners to keep him company. They sealed away his abilities, leaving him defenseless against the Curse Users there. Now he spends his days wilting away inside of the walls, the only things keeping him busy being the entertainment that the guards bring in every once in a while.

Jujutsu:
Hoit has the ability to create Cursed Spirits. A powerful technique, it lets him concentrate the fears of the people around him into a creature. Because of his limited training with the technique, and the fears of the higher ups, he has little control of what kind of spirits he creates.

Furthermore, he doesn't have any control over the Spirits that he creates. They could be as beneficial to him as they could be for his enemies, making it a power too erratic to actually put to use. He can maintain a maximum of 10 spirits at once, one for each finger on his hand, giving him knowledge of his Spirit's location.

Equipment: None.

Weaknesses: A hidden weakness of the technique is the fact that cutting off his hands will remove his ability to create more spirits, though he does not reveal this for fear of what the higher ups in the Jujutsu Society would do to him.

His knowledge of cursed energy is poor, and he doesn't have much of a supply to work with either.

Personality: To put it simply, Iza is passionate, for better or for worse. Perhaps reckless at times, Iza is an energetic force, thrilled to engage in anything that could promote his own personal growth. Although not the brightest nor the strongest, he's meticulous in his approach to a variety of issues but temperamental in action.

History: Originally born in Osaka, Japan, Izanagi was the son to a Japanese father and an American mother. His father was a jujutsu sorcerer independent of his mother's knowledge, an occupation that eventually led to their divorce. In reality, his father was just trying to ensure his ex-wife's security, allowing her to go back to America to be with her family. His son however, Izanagi, was eventually bound to develop a cursed technique. Once he did, his father realized he wouldn't be much of a mentor for his son's unnatural technique that was different from his own, instead focusing on having Iza learn how to defend himself. As soon he was of the right age, Izanagi was sent to Jujutsu Tech in Japan, the intention being for Iza's technique to become more refined and practical. At first, only his innate technique was viable, his mentors viewing the concept of bridging the gap between realities to be farfetched and inconceivably dangerous. However, before that refinement was complete, Iza's father passed, killed fighting a cursed spirit.

Izanagi found himself growing disconnected from the jujutsu world upon his father's death. He started to question his motives and his purpose for engaging in sorcery. His mind was drifting away from a desire to fight. Instead, Iza convinced himself to flee. He dropped out of Jujutsu Tech as a second-year, deciding to hunt down his mother and live with her in America. Iza was successful in that department, moving in with her and adopting a practically normal teenage life. That is, until the amount of curses began to grow in America. Izanagi could feel it. The negative energy that fueled curses grew more and more everyday in America, and the States had nothing close to the structured jujutsu society of Japan. After high school, Izanagi decided enough was enough, choosing to engage in battle with curses for the first time years. Through this, he came across the sorcerers of America, a minuscule group that existed prior to the Idle Transfiguration Apocalypse. They aided in Izanagi's development, formulating a miniature society of sorcerers very comparable to the systems of Japan. However, with the news and the consequences of the apocalypse reaching Izanagi, he felt obligated to return to his real home.

It would have been what his father would have wanted.

Jujutsu:

The strength of Iza's techniques are directly connected with the phases of the moon. Utilizing his cursed energy, Izanagi is able to manipulate moonlight in simplistic ways, mainly offensively or even in a practical manner like a flashlight. During the day, his CT is extremely weakened, however still usable. The pinnacle of his strength would be during the full moon, which only happens around every thirty days.

Beam: Iza is able to amplify his cursed energy into concentrating moonlight, being able to shoot small beams of it. Depending on the phase of the moon, the beams will vary in intensity and size.

Blinding Light: Similar to a flashbang, Izanagi outputs a massive explosion of cursed energy encapsulated in moonlight from his body, temporarily blinding whoever is looking at him. He uses this as an escape tool, as it's more effective indoors and in confined spaces rather than outside.

A Full Moon's Blast: Only under the full moon, Izanagi can conjure up a miniature version of the moon which is around the size of a watermelon. This moon will float like a lantern, however whenever it comes into contact with something physical, it goes off like a bomb using cursed energy.

Tsukuyomi's Curse: Because Izanagi made a self-imposed vow that to fully capitalize on the strength of the full moon, his amount of cursed energy will also be dependent on the lunar phases. For example, a half moon would mean that Iza only has access to 50% of his cursed energy. But, when a full moon does happen, his cursed energy doubles.

Equipment:
None.

Weaknesses:
His binding vow makes him have to be extremely cautious with when he engages in battles. Going into the wrong fight on the wrong day can instantly put Izanagi in a struggle.

Personality:
Aranea conducts herself in a cold, methodical, and near-emotionless manner. Burdened by her numerous misfortunes, general disillusionment, and the piling weight of her need to prove herself to her family as a worthy member of the clan, she prioritises results more so than anything else. Having lived most of her life in the shadows of her greater siblings, she rarely asserts herself as anyone important in social situations, choosing to instead play the wallflower. She is sardonically humble and has a tongue sharper than any of her knives. Any interaction with her usually ends with excessively polite, but scathing, sarcastic remarks, dressed up in obtrusively formal language. She is slow to trust, and quick to mistrust, and it takes a long while before any person is capable of breaking that icy exterior. She truly only shines when called to action, where, if given the chance, she will be far more proactive in the line of duty. Her combat savviness serves her well in the fray, and she knows this.

She is a closeted Japanophile.

History:
There are greater sorceror families than the Fortinbras, to be sure, but no other family has built their reputation on the aspects of servitude like they have. Hailing from England, this eccentric clan sells its services as elite servants and assistants. The Fortinbras have forged their own unique place in the world of sorcery with their own unique set of skills and abilities. Where no other would deign to dirty their hands with clean up, to deal with smaller threats, or simply to exist as an extra helping hand, the Fortinbras step in, with the added proposition of pay and recompense, of course.

Aranea Fortinbras is the youngest of three sisters from the main branch of the family. With succession off the table, unless something untoward happened to her sisters, Aranea only holds station above the rest of her family by way of being part of the main branch. She truly was the runt of the family, too, being the youngest amongst her generation, and her own Cursed Energy started off surprisingly weak, allowing her the minimal amount of perception of spirits and the like. Due to this, she was mostly pushed around by her family. Unable to act as a Sorceror in the earnest, she was instead relegated to simple combat and cleaning duties. Aranea learned, at a young age, that it was easier on her to just ignore everything they threw at her and to keep her expression dispassionate and uninterested, and eventually found solace in consuming Japanese media.

It took a while before her powers finally began to flourish. It was not a time for celebration either- no one really cared. No one actually thought much of her after all the years she had been around, and eventually, she left on her own accord to attend Jujutsu High as the rest of her family did. The one year there did not pass peacefully for her either. Being part of the Fortinbras family meant that people naturally saw her as part of a bizarre family with weird practices. There was a lot of stigma behind their choice to 'sell their services', and it did not improve her standing in anyway amongst her peers. Thankfully, she more than made up for it with her skill and her ability. Combining her inspirations from her Japanese shows, she elevated herself from 'Fortinbras mercenary' to 'Fortinbras Ninja Maid', which was certainly unique. It was perhaps after her showcase that she was more than just a family name that people began to accept her presence.

During her time in Jujutsu High, she apprenticed under a Grade 1 Sorceror by the name of Taiga Kusanagi, who further honed her skill with a knife, as well as instructed her on hand-to-hand combat. Kusanagi himself was an oddity. Before every mission, he would eat a pack of chewing gum, under the belief that it helps him think- motion keeps the blood flowing to the brain, or so he thought. While she initially resisted the idea, this was how Aranea herself developed her gum-chewing habit as well. Together with Kusanagi, Aranea attended to a couple of missions involving both spirits and curse users, and accomplished them with notable ability. Her promotion to Grade 2, however, came to an abrupt end after being interrupted by unexpected trials, and while she managed to put down the threat with proficiency, it also led to the death of Kusanagi. The loss of a teacher was cause for discombobulation amongst these staff, and her promotion was quickly forgotten in the mess.

Jujutsu:
Thread: Aranea's Innate Technique allows her to manifest fine, but strong, wires made of Cursed Energy. These wires can connect to anything at all, but she primarily uses them in conjunction with her throwing knives for both offensive and evasive manoeuvres. She can send Cursed Energy down her wires to create an explosion at different points of the wire to cause some damage. With her knives, she can even channel said explosions towards their tips, allowing them to deal delayed cursed damage. She can change the length of the wires at will, and can create wires of varying sizes.

Shikigami Conjuration: Aranea is capable of summoning a single Shikigami that resembles a large black hound, named Baskerville. It doesn't have much in way of power or speed, but is surprisingly resilient, and Aranea uses it solely to delay her targets while she makes her moves.

Vow of Servitude: Aranea's Binding Vow. It takes action only when she makes a formal pledge of servitude with another person that lasts for a stipulated time of increments of 5 minutes, up to 60. During this time, her actions can be controlled by the person she has pledged herself to, though she can act on her own if no commands are given, and she must remain within 15 metres of the person. During this period, her Cursed Energy shoots up by a considerable amount, and it increases in power based on the time devoted. This unique Binding Vow has a time limit imposed on it, and Aranea can only 'sell' her services for up to 60 minutes per day. Furthermore, she has to limit her output of Cursed Energy when the Vow isn't active. Beware, all ye who would partake in her services, for she is a fickle tool, and she can choose to interpret her 'commands' as and how she wishes. Her 'Master' must be very specific in their wording if they so choose to wield her as the instrument that she is.

Simple Domain: A domain for the weak, and Aranea Fortinbras fits the bill. Having watched her teacher utilise it, she has attempted to mimic the very same technique. It takes a lot of concentration for her to maintain it, forcing her to remain idle and stationary to project a defensive barrier around her, up to 5 metres in diameter, that nullifies the effects of a Domain Expansion. It is a last-resort anti-Domain technique, and she dreads having to use it, if only because it only affords her some breathing space. If she was forced to use it, then something or someone has, figuratively, screwed the pooch.
Equipment:
Knives: Aranea's specialty lies in her ringed throwing knives that allow her to combine her Innate Technique with to make the best out of it. Though she is mostly seen having eight at any given time, it can be assumed that she has more stored somewhere else. They don't seem to be anything special, and just seem to be knives that you can buy in bulk at any store, with the exception of one special knife.

Victoire: A special throwing knife that can be classed as a Second-Grade Cursed Tool. It is distinguishable from the rest of her knives as the only one with a blade that has a hollow center. It emits a 'blade' of Cursed Energy from its tip, allowing it to cut from a further range than its blade would imply, being able to lengthen its reach to about the length of a short sword. It is Aranea's chosen melee weapon, and its unique trait allows her to fake out her actual range of engagement.

Chewing Gum: It isn't particularly relevant as a weapon, but Aranea's weird obsession with gum has her always be carrying some around with her. She always eats a pack before every mission.

Summoning Talismans: She uses these to summon her personal Shikigami. She uses Japanese paper Talismans to do the job, mostly because Western summoning tools are a little too clumsy to carry around.

Weaknesses:
She doesn't do well in straight mano-a-mano combat, and relies heavily on creating a contract with another to function well in such a scenario. Her specialties lie in stalking the shadows, laying traps, delaying her target, and staying on the move.​

Personality:
Victor is the definition of no-nonsense if it were a person, although not quite as loud and boisterous as his mentor Yuki and his former training partner Aoi, he is is cut from a similar cloth, Victor is a devout Buddhist, having converted during his years abroad training in Thailand, although from time-to-time he's drawn to the same kind of attachments as Todo. Although he and Todo are different in some ways , they are quite similar in a lot of ways. His style of combat sorcery is a bit more straightforward and intuitive, as opposed to Todo's calculated grappling.

History:
Victor originally hails from Great Britain, his homelife was relatively unremarkable. He got kicked out of school for fighting...a lot. Nothing much out of the ordinary for a kid from a delinquent background. That all changed when he met a sorcerer who asked him what his type of woman was after a brief scuffle that left him immobile. She beat him up pretty bad, however, she saw some kind of potential in Victor and offered to train him in sorcery.

He trained alongside Todo for awhile, but he didn't really have a style of his own, interestingly, he learned of Muai Thai from an anime, with Yuki's permission, Victor went abroad to study Muai Thai from a gym in Thailand, there he converted to Buddhism and found himself in that style. Victor was absent during the events of Shibuya and some time afterwards only returning to Japan following the news of what occurred to his mentor.





Jujutsu:
Great Cursed Energy: Victor has a high degree of cursed energy and a good understanding of how to utilize it. He is able to reinforce his punches enough to obliterate curses in a single punch and can infuse his energy into cursed tools. For defense, Victor can also apply a coating of cursed energy to his body to protect himself from attacks. Victor possess an Innate Technique that he can use repeatedly without exhausting his energy reserves that he can utilize alongside reinforced physical applications.

Reverse Curse Energy: Victor has shown the ability to harness reverse curse energy for healing and regeneration purposes. Although his ability pales in comparison to his teacher or other proficient users.

Muai Thai - Victor adopts a Muai Thai approach to Jujutsu Sorcery. Brutal kicks, punches and takedowns.

on the surface his technique resembles Bougie Woogie, it works quite differently, by snapping his fingers Victor is able to augment time to some degree, making him able to rewind his placement in time.
