He has been in his family gang since his powers emerged. The gang has a talent. Only showing violence when it is necessary to keep themselves alive. The children inside the gang were always allowed to be themselves. This allowed him to keep a kind heart that melts around kids.
His family gang is like a foster home, taking in unwanted street kids. Each of the kids that comes in sees him as a friend. Not a foe.

His powers emerged on graduation day. When a group of seniors were picking on him. He scared them so much that they didn't go onto the stage for graduation. Even with his scary powers He stayed bright.

His parents died from old age last year. Through this he stayed strong.
Only with the love and support from his twin brother Jake and his little sister Melody was he able to get over his parents' death. He took lead of the gang. With his family and friends he can do anything
