Fantasy Jewel of the East ~ An Elder Scrolls Adventure {CC}

Locklaklazarii

Acolyte of a New God
(WOW I just copied stuff for filler)

1522109857057.png

You are a resident of the Southern City of Tear, in Morrowind, the seat of the power of House Dres, one of the largest houses in Morrowind. Tear is a city renowned for it's large port, vast markets, and semmingly constant flow of Slaves and Slavers. For the past year you were distraught as the horizon exploded into fire and ash, sending shock waves swallowing half of the city into swampy marshes, refugees from smaller villages swarmed to the city. Swelling with the refugees, the sick, the poor, the dying, the city is on the brink of collapse, House Dres holds the city together by sheer might and will. Now what is being called The Red Year by both the peasants and lords alike is seemingly coming to an end, and Morrowind stands on its last leg. To make matters worse, in the past couple of days soem displaced farmers have come through town convinced that a bunch of N'wahs are attacking everything. If the rumors are true it will take everything to stop this menace especially after the withdraw of the Cyrodiilic Empire, and the tragedy of the Red Year...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This RP takes place during the Accession War (the Argonian invasion of Morrowind), and follows a small group of 'heroes' with their struggle to save what they can of Morrowind and help ease the bleeding country, prehaps they can truly save thousands of lives from terror, or maybe they are just swits giving their life for a noble cause.

(due to the nature of this RP Argonians and Khajiit are banned from being a playable races, unless you notify me or my Co-GM ( Boethiah Boethiah ), you can play as other outsiders though, but there will be tons of racial bias against you)

Those who have expressed interest: Boethiah Boethiah , @Kommunism , Skyflash Skyflash , Solar Union Solar Union , Meawinda Meawinda and @Robin-Jay

Gender: Female
Race: Dunmer
Height: 5'10
Weight: 140 lbs
Affiliations: Morag Tong
Religion: Reclamations, Mephala as the matron deity

Apparel- Common robe, common shoes, common pants, common belt, face scarf, chitin cuirass, chitin left and right pauldrons, chitin left and right bracers
Weapons- Silver shortsword, fifteen steel darts
What’s not equipped- Journeyman's lockpick and probe, cheap potion of jump, potion of slowfall, 300 drakes

Sexual Preference: Heterosexual
Likes: Security, honor, respect, House Dres, Mephala, Morag Tong, darts, nature
Dislikes: Argonians, Khajiit, Imperials, the Empire, House Hlaalu, House Sadras, alcohol, skooma

Bio/Backstory: Born in the latter half of the Third Era, Ilmyna lived a simple childhood in a town near the grand city of Tear, capital of House Dres. The town of Yengrith was situated close to the swamps of Argonia where the exact boundaries between the two provinces were often muddled, leading to Dres slavers and Argonian raiders alike being a sight not too uncommon for the town. When Ilmyna began nearing her twenties, she began to venture out into the bogs with other townspeople and hunt for Argonians - a profitable venture that helped shape who she would grow to become. Reasoning that she should be as independent as possible, she began to utilize the funds accrued from her hunting trips to buy equipment and train in skills she deemed worthwhile in life such as alchemy, basic swordsmanship, and marksmanship.

Eventually, her skills began to clearly manifest and become apparent to the others of her hunting party. She developed a knack for tracking and remaining stealthily while doing so, even going as far to occasionally rig a few traps to catch the runaways. Despite that, the days of her slave hunting would near their end once she travelled alone into the Argonian settlement of Taj'Xa'thaxi, a popular and well-defended location for escapees to hide. Her goal that day was not to take a slave back, but to eliminate one that the local nobles of House Dres feared would incite a massive raid on Yengrith. Her trip was successful, and with the Argonian slain she returned to Yengrith where the local nobles held a small feast in her honor, informing her that they would send word of her deeds to the leaders of the House in Tear, and that she would do well for herself if she managed to continue combating the Argonians. Days after the feast, Ilmyna was subjected to a reversal of the usual roles. She heard a gasp from behind her one night as she passed by a store, and she quietly ducked into an alleyway afterward. When a heavily robed figure became visible in the street and moved past the entrance to the alley, she emerged and drew her dagger to its throat. Immediately noticing some exposed scales, she slit the throat of the Argonian and turned around the investigate what had caused the gasp. The Argonian, supposedly a Shadowscale, had murdered a homeless man who would have been witness to Ilmyna's assassination. With the threat to her life becoming clear, she travelled to Tear where she could effectively create a new life, unknown to all besides those who the local nobles of Yengrith informed.

Quickly finding work in Tear, her name became well circulated among local plantation owners who could always use a slave hunter to help return their property. Eventually, the details of the assassination at Taj'Xa'thaxi found their way to the Morag Tong, and after observing her progress in Tear they extended an invite to join their order which Ilmyna gladly accepted, securing her position within the House politics of Morrowind. For years she performed writs for the Tong, and even began to find a romantic interest in one of the sons of a prominent admiral. In the events of the Imperial Simulacrum, Ilmyna worked alongside the warriors of House Dres to invade Argonia, and proved a valuable asset to the Arnesian War. She felt-mixed feelings upon hearing of the death of King Symmachus, and despaired when it became apparent the Prince Helseth would be the rightful heir if not for his fleeing to Wayrest. Instead, the absence of the historic ruling dynasty led to an increase of Imperial presence through their puppets, a fact that Ilmyna despised. Nevertheless, she remained in her position within the Morag Tong for decades after the Arnesian War.

The retreat of the Imperial legions and the abandonment of their forts during the Oblivion Crisis showed even the most Imperial-friendly citizens of Tear how important the Imperials thought Morrowind was when compared to Cyrodiil. Ilmyna survived the Crisis, and made a point afterward to prioritize writs against members of House Hlaalu. Though she plans to eventually retire from her work within the Tong, she desires not to travel to the isle of Vounoura, but to marry and settle down in Tear to raise a family. As Morrowind reeled from the quick succession of disasters in the late Third and early Fourth Eras, the Imperial Simulacrum; the Arnesian War; the murder of King Symmachus; the rise of King Helseth; the return of the Sixth House; the fall of the Tribunal; the Oblivion Crisis; the Red Year; and now this apparent new invasion, Ilmyna began to occasionally aid her nation in other ways, offering occasional advice to the heads of House Dres, especially in matters of intrigue. With Morrowind still managing to persist through these turmoils, Ilmyna is adamant in ensuring that it survives the new one so that Morrowind can prosper once more.

Name: Azaril Larothi

Age: 145

Birthsign: The Lover

Gender: Male

Race: Dunmer

Height: 6’

Weight: 155

Affiliations: Cult of Meridia

Religion: Follower of Meridia

Languages: Cyrodilic and Dunmeris

Inventory

Apparel- the Robes seen above, Golden Talisman of meridia (Golden Light beams Radiating from a centre point)

Weapons- A silver, flame enchanted, Bastard sword, and a Steel dagger

What’s not equipped- Some Spell books, a few scrolls on the teachings of Meridia

Sexual Preference: Heterosexual

Likes: Magic, Fire, Restoration, Cleanliness, Azura, Meridia, Honor

Dislikes: Undead, Argonians, Imperial Cult, Mehrunes Dagon, Molag Bal

Bio/Backstory: Born to a relatively well off family, the Larothi, Azaril was pushed to like many in his family to become a wizard. For much of his early life he wanted to follow in one of his uncle’s shoes and become a Telvanni wizard. He trained extensively for years with the mage’s guilds, up into his late 30’s. He had delved deep into a forgotten catacomb for knowledge that he had found rumors of in old texts. Once down there however, he found that the dead were not so keen on someone in their resting place, in fact before him a necromancer had found the catacomb. Swarmed by legions of dead Dunmer, Azaril had to take refuge in a library within the catacomb, one that houses many techniques and information about the caring and disposal of the dead. He began to study the material furiously as it could be his only way of escape. When he became versed in the basic magics it held, he burned a path through the dead and to the necromage, where he took one of the ancient swords that lay on the barren ground of the tomb and fell his foe. At that moment Azaril was visited by the disembodied voice of Meridia, who told him where he could find her followers, and what her beliefs were.

After finding her cult, he found it to be a honorable place, and he saw it as a way to benefit his fellow mer. He took up the opportunity to do what he saw as right, he versed himself with Meridia’s few yet precise teachings. He also committed himself to a subset within Meridia’s cult, known as the Golden Warriors, who acted on meridia’s behest silencing the undead and opposing daedric cultists (much like a daedric vigilant of stendarr). He would train for many years by way of the sword and magic but he still has much to learn. Used to fighting the undead, but not so good against the living, but in any sense he has made a name for himself within the small cult. Moving from city to city, he is one of the few of the Golden Warriors who scouts and inspects tombs to make sure that the dead are still that, and are at peace.

He has for the past 3 months been down in Tear on official business for the cult, he has been running routine checks on all the tombs, sepulchres, and catacombs. With the recent news of some sort of invasion he has decided to stay in Tear, even sending a letter to the rest of his order. Azaril knows that any form of foreign invasion or large scale war will mean the disruption of the dead. Often Necromages take advantage of battlefields for dead soldiers, this he must stop at all costs, for both his fellow mer and for his matron. Azaril hardens his will, sharpens his silver and steel, practicing his magic in preparation for a war he will likely have to wage against the dead.
