As a sell-sword, he has had his fair share of almost anything, be it simple things such as cleaning a room, feeding the livestock, guarding a pen, or things unfit for the common man, like sneaking into the royal archives, tracking down dangerous men or beasts, stealing some prized possession. He may not be the best in all of them, but he sure knows his ways. He's quite a quick learner, but not a really good person to apply what he had learned. And of course, he's a great annoyance both to his allies and enemies.
Abilities
Armed with his trusty claymore, a weapon he simply looted from a random treasure room, Ivan's techniques in the field of combat is rather exemplary. Sure he does not move with finesse or grace, but he makes the job done with speed, power, and precision. He's not good with acrobatic movements, but he makes up for such with his quick reflexes, allowing little to no openings for his opponents.
