In Courts of Glass and Bone

//dancing

Hurrah! Hurrah! Such excitement~. Grey, can you tell me a bit more about breaking Loyalty? It's stated that Courtiers can't betray a Noble they're loyal to, yet it's possible to break loyalty with a drastic action... What sort of drastic action?

And would a Courtier in service due to a Pact need to mimic the Noble's aspects or should they simply not be wholly incompatible?

A Courtier bound by Pact should have at least one Aspect in common with the Noble, because Fae of differing Aspects struggle to understand each other. Night and Day do not get each other.

So the Courtier breaking loyalty might have some huge personal epiphany, torturous breaking, passionate rejection of their Noble that redefines their Aspects.

Basically, we can come up with some suitable love story/betrayal/revelation that leads to the change - it may be catalyzed by outside interference from the new Noble or even one of the other players. A certain degree of Destiny is permissible here - Fae willingly submit to Fate.

I'll come up with a chargen method for Fae under the newer rules in a wee bit.
