Futuristic Immortal Hearts

Terrokar

The Phantom Guardian
“Alright ladies and gents, my name is Aldeas White and you are no longer innocents in the eyes of the authority. You are enemies. You’re here because your family or loved ones wanted you to be free from the shackles that bind the rest of our world. Boys and girls, on behalf of the Immortal Hearts, I welcome you to Xaun. Here, we are free from the bonds that the authorities have placed on us and free we aim to stay. Make yourselves at home!”

The enormous steel gate began to rise up into the ceiling, revealing a very technological city. Xaun had been built four years ago under the ocean floor in the Pacific. Ever since Jared Harrington’s global empire came into existence, people around the world have been doing everything possible to escape. But escape to where? The world was his. He had established the Imperium. Everyone was now subjected to law of the Emperor. Jobs, rations, everything was by the government’s discretion.

In Xaun, everyone worked out of necessity to keep the city running and supplied. No one had to leave. No one wanted to leave while Harrington was in power. But there was a section of the city that was designed for leaving Xaun - the War Sect. The War Sect consisted of two divisions: the Warrior Division, and the Ranger Division.

As everyoung walked through the gates, Aldeas White and two others adorned in red armor found specific individuals to approach. On their breasts was a heart with a ring behind it, all colored in black.

“You there! You look like a person who wants to make an impact.” Aldeas White pulled an envelope from his leather jacket and hands it off. “Follow the instructions there. I’ll see you soon.” He turned and his guards followed into Xaun. Once the envelope was opened, the contents within would show to be directions to the Ranger's Barracks in the War Wing of the city.

Bliss reached out a shaky hand and took the envelope, biting her lip and glancing up at the man, Aldeas White, is what he called himself. She took a deep breath and looked around at the other people who were there. They were varying in age, gender, and stature. By the looks of them, it seemed like she was the only one there who wasn't a fighter. She didn't fight physically, she fought virtually.

With a small smile, Bliss rubbed the small piece of metal in her hand. To everybody there, it looked like nothing, but to the young girl, it was her world. She was holding a small, compact mother board that retained all of her specialized coding information, cloaked in jumbled binary to confuse all those who wanted to get to it.

Axel looked over the letter from Aldeas. He was insecure with this offering because of the many traps he been through. He rather not bother, but something told him it was no joke. To start, the grammatical mistakes all over the document and the honesty in the words seemed to be reassuring. Axel was never assured, but he decided to follow the instructions anyway. He carried his green bag with his remaining clothes and held his home-made claws and one pistol in a briefcase. The sheath for his gun-blade was in the backpack, and he carried the flip-able weapon with his other hand. When he reached the corridor with the other recruits, he sighed slightly. They were reasonable people, and they should do fine for now. However, Axel had better affairs to handle. First, he needed to figure out how Aldeas found him, and he needed to figured out the honesty of the organization. Axel noticed that Aldeas was busy with another recruit, so he sneaked out of sight pretty easy. He left his bag in a locker with his name on it. Axel figured Aldeas was expecting him, so he grabbed one of his locks and activated it with the bag inside. He left his gun-blade and its sheath with him. He climbed up the ceiling vent by climbing the wall. He transferred himself through the vents without a sound. He found a opening into some sort of office and noticed two guards by the door. He looked around and noticed another opening from the left of the desk. He took a pocket wrench and unscrewed the screen and placed it on the vent block beside it. He manged a deep breath and jumped down from the opening. He was at a angle where the door guards could not see him, so he aimed his wrench at the light switch on the other side and turned off the lights. The guards raised their awareness, but before they could do anything. Axel used pressure points on their neck and they passed out. The room was relighted soon afterwards. Axel looked over the paper work and confirmed the ideals of Immortal Hearts. He climbed back up the easiest vent and headed back to the lobby...

Jane looked up as him as he handed her the envelope. She then looked down at it and looked around at the others. Seemed like they were choosing a selected few. "They choose me huh?" She looked back around to see if there was anyone her that she knew. "Nope." She looked back at the envelope and opened it. She read it, it was a set of instructions. "Alright then." She smiled.

Summer stood of to the side of the crowd, quietly scanning peoples body language and their faces. She noticed the big man that introduced himself as Aldeas White was walking amongst the crowd handing a few people letters. When he approached her she was rather taken with how blue his eyes were and just the sheer size of him. He reached out and handed her a letter before walking off again. She exhaled quickly not realising she had been holding her breath. Looking down at the letter she opened it and read its contents. She folded the letter and placed it into her pocket. Lifting her pack from the ground and putting it over her shoulder, her rifle and very few belongings where inside. She left the square heading in the direction of the barracks. She was ready for anything.

Alaina walked up to Aldeas and grabbed her letter carelessly. She had her back back slung over her shoulder, filled to the brink with gadgets and spare parts. She tore open the envelope and read what it said. Alaina folded it in half and placed it into her back pack. She walked over to the wall and slid down it. She looked around at all the people who were gathered here. A lot of them were young, but they didn't look as young as she did. Alaina always thought she looked like she was 11 or something. It drove her nuts.

Lionel was situated near the back of the crowd, he felt rather small amongst the others being rather short for his height. The envelope was held in his hands, looking at the contents before folding it and placing it inside of the bag he carried with him. He heard the metallic clinking of his tools inside the bag, being careful to not damage anything. How terrible it'd be to open his bag to find the animal trap he'd been working on broken and in need of further repair. Beginning to head to the barracks.

Lexi was casually leaning against a wall, maintaining her straight spine. Her normal, all black, leather overalls would make her pass as an intimidating women adding to the treasured revolver that she kept around her waist. The 19-year-old was only implementing her observing skills at the crowd, her dark emerald green eyes looking through them when a man who looked like her with the same leather tastes and a similar shade of white hair approached, Aldeas White.

He was very much older than her, two men accompanying him on by his side. He outstretched his hand, an enveloped sat plainly on his palm. Tilting her head to her right, Lexi examined the letter that he had shortly displayed to her before accepting with hesitant fragile fingers.

The group of men turned on their heels, entering the city. The girl's index finger moved along the edge of the envelope before neatly ripping the top, reading the words within. She wasn't shocked. Her appearance would definitely scream this as a job. She folded it, keeping it in her hands and making her way to the place where the letter directed her to go: The Rangers Barracks.

Upon entering the War Wing, the Ranger's Barracks was not hard to find. In the entrance lobby, the two guards that had escorted Aldeas White were waiting. They were adorned in their red armor and only a side arm as is standard for each guardsman to carry. One them had his helmet set on the lobby desk while the other kept his on his head. As the first recruits started to enter, the guards took better posture and turned towards them.

"Greetings," said the helmed one. "Welcome to the Ranger's Barracks. White will be down shortly to give further instruction." As more and more recruits started to enter, the helmed guard continued: "White wants all of you to be introduced to one another as well so I'd suggest starting now while you have the chance."

Jane listen to what the man said then sighed. "Introduce ourselves huh?" She looked around. She wasn't sure who she should talk to first. she started walking to see who she try talking to first until she bumped into someone. "Oh sorry."

@Zaltusinel

Lexi fixed her icy blonde hair, looking at the two guards who have previously been escorting the man who gave her the letter. "Introduce myself? Very well" she mused, walking up to the nearest person, a smile plastered on her face. "Hello. Lexi. I'm Lexi" she spoke, offering her fragile hand which was covered with a black glove at the much older man.

On the way to destination Summer took mental notes of all her surroundings. She seen a few of the people from the square going into the barracks so she fixed her hair before stepping into the large building. The guards greeted her and told her to wait inside for further instructions. They also asked her to introduce herself to her fellow new recruits. Summer walked to the nearest people she could see and introduced herself.

Alaina listened to what the guards said. "Ugh, no one said I had to be social!" She looked around at all the people she could talk to. "No, no, no, maybe..." She decided to talk to the closest girl to her. If she had to do this, she might as well get it over with. "Hi, I'm Alaina." She said with a fake sincere smile. @Santii

"It is all right. I am glad something is starting to happen. What would your name be ma'am?" Axel was not slightly concerned about what was going on. He seemed distant. Something must be on his mind.

@animegirl20

She looked at him when he asked for her nam. "It's Jane." She said as she still held on to her letter. "What's yours?" She noticed he seemed distracted. She wondered if he even heard her.

@Zaltusinel

The girl in front of summer politely introduced herself as Alaina, she seemed friendly enough but she looked a mere child. Slightly smaller than Summer was and of the same build.

“Hello Alaina I'm Summer.”

Summer continued to walk around the room introducing herself to the rest of the people there, before going over to sit in a seat in the far corner where she could observe the whole room.

"Nice to meet you." She said smiling. I guess he did hear me. She thought to herself. She looked around at the other people that were here. Guess she should try meeting some other people. But who should she try talking to next.

Alaina watched as the girl walked off without anymore words to her. "Not much of a talker, huh? We will get along fine then." Alaina backed up and went to turn around when she accidentally hit the girl behind her in the back. "Sorry..." Alaina quietly mumbled.

The guards watched and the one that had spoken before chuckled slightly, saying something quietly to his partner. It was then that the doors opened from the left of the service desk. Aldeas White walked out and checked out the room, looking at each individual. "I see you all came. You should already know who I am but in case you have forgotten, I am Aldeas White, co-founder of the Immortal Hearts when it was a subdivision of the Divine Revolution, and now High Commander of the Immortal Hearts' war division. Now that my formal introduction is done, follow me." Aldeas turned quickly on his heel and back in through the door he came. There was another door immediately after that slid open to reveal an enormous stadium-like arena down bellow and windows along the entire upper hemisphere of rooms that served a variety of purposes. "This is the Ranger's Den. Training of all variety will be here. Combat, cyber, mechanical, the list goes on." He put his hands on the railing and observed the den an allowing his new crew to do so as well. He slowly started towards the east side of the Den towards one of the elevators and waited for the new crew mates there.

Alaina looked over the railings down at the Den. It was quite impressive. She saw Aldeas walk into the elevator and she followed suit, standing a few steps away from him. She observed him and noticed how tall he is, dwarfing her by a long shot. She felt very small and insignificant standing beside him. She was thinking to herself when she realized she was staring and she quickly looked down and blushed, hoping he didn't notice.

Seeing the person she tried to introduce herself to was in no condition to do anything but stare, Lexi sigh inaudibly, placing her gloved hand back to its rightful place and watched Aldeas White enter with a disciplined manner, requesting the 'recruits' to follow him, where they are greeted with a large arena. Variety of uses... Lexi could visualise that. Her lips gave a slight curl at its edges, a smile escaping her face. Combat... How exciting that is. Lexi had always loved combat, her keen eyes would definitely be slightly useful ability. She followed the man with the same white hair they owned, walking by the railings as many looked below, some continuing on to the elevators like she was. Looking at the walls with her dark emerald eyes that sometimes might pierce through anyone with its intensity, she examined this sturdy structure. *My next few weeks should be interesting* she mused and waited for further instructions.

Axel followed Aldeas into the den and was the first to reach Aldeas. Axel took out a sharping stone and sharpened his gun-blade. He considered barking at them to hurry them up, but he decided not to. He yawned and focused back on the world around him. He noticed a bat in the upper corner and shot it straight in the head by flipping his blade in to it's gun form. The body fell onto the ground with a small bone crushing sound. Axel knew then the place had armor...

Summer followed the rest to the railing and looked out over a large arena. A training area Aldeas had said. She joined the rest of the group in the elevator. Eager to get started and get onto a mission early, she was hoping to impress Aldeas with her skills in the Rangers Den.

Jane followed every one into the den. She looked around. "Combat huh?" She said to herself. She then noticed him going into the elevator and headed towards it.
