      Kinni comes from a very tall family where everyone (outside of her little sister) is above the height of 5'10. Kinni is no different and though she isn't massive like some of her other family members in terms of pure mass, she still comes with some weight to her as she is still very curvy, even at her young age. Athletics, mainly cheer, keeps her body toned but she has to be careful because she tends to eat a lot and her metabolism comes to a crawl when she isn't being active. This was showcased by the weight she gained the summer before her 8th grade year, where she broke her ankle because her body wasn't used to her new weight.

      Her hair is often whatever she feels like it should be, which could range greatly. Sometimes it's natural -letting her cnatural curl pattern and hair color dominate her hair. Sometimes she'll color her hair blonde, and cut it a little short. Sometimes she'll even bob it, or twist it to have some tighter curls. She might wear a wig, a weave, or cornrows. Who knows?! But whatever it ends up, she's going to have confidence in it and it's going to look poppin. "And that's on periodt."

      Kinni's fashion can really get out there since she tends to make her own clothes. She's gotten really good at it, though since she's still learning she has a few misfires. In this regard, she tends to show out every day when she's at school or some event, even if it's just fashionova or zara. She's going to spruce it up, make it hers in some way -like it never came from forever21, and then throw it in the a pile to give to goodwill. Yet, when she's home or running errands. It's just active wear. Not any active wear- no, it's the line she designed for Nike.

      Body Mods: Just ears, belly, nipple piercings. She also has a tribal tattoo around her right wrist, though she's holding off on more to leave modeling as an option.

      Insecurities run rampant through this bipedal mammal, and they surface often in nasty characteristics. A cheerfully sweet girl by nature and resident clown, many would be surprised to find the nasty name-calling that Kinni could find herself in. A nasty girl with a 'holier than thou' attitude, that seems to find her way into schemes to get ahead. Though most people see her as the sweetheart, anyone who has gotten too close has been witness to her talons.

      She is a hardworking girl, between competitive cheer leading and volleyball (and her fashion line of course), always doing everything she can to be at her best. To be the best. She is persevering and does her best to try hard and be patient with her growth. She is mostly selfless, not hesitating to often give up her lunch to someone who is less fortunate. She has the patience of a saint when it comes to things she's working on and usually can turn out perfection in relatively short time.

      Her jealousy sometimes overshadows her good nature, though she is very adept at hiding her schemes. Manipulating and playing her way through life as a game of chess. Her desire to be the best, her desire to achieve greatness seems to be crazy. She is an odd girl, who often watches anime and eats the weirdest dishes in her free time. She hasn't eaten fast food since she was 5 (though she isn't opposed to fast food type food, just not the commercialized, preservative filled things they sell) and tends to love cooking for people as much as she loves eating.

      history










      The middle child. Kinipela Kimberly Palakiko-Masoli was the second of three children born to her parents Major Kimberly Erica Palakiko-Masoli nee Smith and Jeremiah Akamu Palakiko-Masoli. Her mother was a Major in the United States Marine Corps and a fighter pilot, while her father was a former professional surfer. They met while she was on liberty from her carrier in Hawaii. From there, he'd fly out to her between tournaments and competitions while she was stationed in the middle east.

      When she fell pregnant with the eldest brother, Jordan, she married him and during her maternity leave moved temporarily to Hawaii with her husband. Whenever she ended her maternity leave, she would leave her children in Hawaii and go on her deployments -often lasting months without physical contact with her now husband. When she would return she'd get pregnant and stay for another maternity leave.

      Having a mother with a career in the military meant that Kinni was without her mother most of the time, though she did enjoy the rest of her Hawaiian family and siblings. Her life was relatively mundane for a local growing up on Molokai, living much of a rural life. Growing up she spent most of her time helping out on her family's farm, with their most successful crops being their coffee and macadamia nuts. They never really made a lot of money, mainly making enough to cover farm and living expenses, but they were content. In actuality, her mother brought the most money to the family as a high ranking Navy Officer and fighter pilot. Her Hawaiian family was always resentful of her mother for not being local though even though it was a bit hypocritical considering their grandfather was from the Samoan islands.

      Between the family's farm, her mother's earnings and their father's winning as a professional surfer they were afforded a seemingly well off life despite being on the island with a high living cost (though growing and raising their own food cut living costs significantly.) This afforded Kinni the time to spend most of her free time working on what she wanted to work on which most of her life was surfing and sports.

      Despite being stationed in Hawaii, her mother was still a very productive fighter pilot (also once apart of the United States Navy Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor program) and called upon to go on many missions and would often be gone for months at a time depending on the nature of the task. Her mother's absence would take a toll on her father who would degrade into an alcoholic and abandon his kids altogether. When her father went MIA, their mother wasted no time in getting them and moving them to Atlanta where she had been reassigned to not long before. Many around the situation believe her reassignment and their disagreement on moving probably led to an argument and their father's subsequent degradation. Since the day their father went missing, they hadn't seen him.

      Kinni was always into athletics even from a young age considering her biggest influences in her life were her father, a professional surfer and former major league baseball player and her elder brother, a top ranked QB. Even her mother was naturally gifted from a physical talent perspective and she played college softball. Kinni was no different and started to learn to surf at a young age. Spending time in the water on their boards with her brother and father was some of the best parts in her life. She was never good as her father, but that didn't matter to her. That time being out there was everything to her.

      She loved working on the farm, but the older she got, the less she wanted to get dirty. That whole girly girl aspect was starting to come out of her. As she continued to develop her personaltiy and as her body also continued develop, she noticed that she drew in a lot of attention. It wasn't intentional, but she loved it. So she entered all of the surfing competitions, all of the pageants, dance competitions, everything she could that would draw put her on the center stage. She wasn't a winner in everything, but she stilled liked to enter things. Until her father went missing and she sort of lost the desire to do most things. Then it got even worse when their mother came and got them, and moved them to Atlanta.

      Kinni hated being in Atlanta. The city was fine - it was fun actually. Ok the city was amazing, but it wasn't home, and her father was still missing. Depression overtook her as she ended up at Woodward Academy, a prestigious private school in Atlanta. That's where she got into volleyball, ending up playing for the US U-14 team her 7th grade year. She also got into competitive cheerleading, joining with a team that won fourth place in their age division in their national competition. Around this time is when she discovered her desire for fashion, creating active wear like compressions sleeves, wristbands, head wraps, etc and her wearing it during her national volleyball games got the attention of Nike, who offered her the opportunity to start designing active wear for them. She also made 'nicer' look versions of her shcoo's uniforms, without breaking the actual dress code.

      This made her feel on top of the world as she moved into eighth grade. Their cheerleading team won second place this year and their volleyball team won the world championships. Her sister landed a role on broadway while only being 11 years old and her brother had been offered several scholarships for football, one from his dream school UGA. That's when it all came coming down, her brother said he would not go to play for UGA because he wanted to be closer to take care of his siblings since their mother was never around especially since her promotion to Lieutenant Colonel in the USMC.

      That didn't sit well with Kinni and there was nothing she could do to convince him otherwise. It wasn't until she learned about a performing arts school that she devised a plan.

      She was able to get into the Performing Arts school, located in LA, along with scoring a job with Nike. She was able to send her sister to a performing arts middle school in the same city, which freed up her brother to go play college football. At the performing arts school she crafted active wear for Nike, having her eventual line under them being worn by atheltes like Naomi Osaka and Simone Biles. After high school, she decided she wanted to enjoy a college career and isntead of going to one of the prestigious schools for fashion, she chose DuBois. What was better than an HBCU experience back near her second home of Atlanta? She aced her freshman year continuing to work for Nike while designing her own brand that she sold online. She is a cheerleader and Poodle and is looking forward to her sophomore year.

    Persona: Orisha is a sweet and open girl. She's quick to initiate conversations with random people and can be chatty. She's kind and a bit reserved. Despite being open to a discussion, she gets flustered very quickly, whether because of specific conversation topics or someone flirting with her.

    Flaws/Weaknesses: Orisha is very codependent and doesn't have much backbone. This makes her not as assertive as she should be in some situations. She doesn't do confrontation very well and lets things slide when she shouldn't.

    Strengths: Orisha has fairly good emotional intelligence. Even if she isn't very aggressive, she's aware of her emotions and empathetic towards others. She's dedicated to her passions in life and pursues what makes her happy no matter what others think.

    Appearance: Orisha's skin is dark with cool undertones, like rich soil with promises of rubies and sapphires beneath. Her nose is broad, and her lips are full. She's of average height with an athletic build due to her swimming skills. She has thick, curly hair that falls down her back. There's a gap between her two front teeth that she tries to hide and can't afford to close.

    History: Orisha is the youngest of three girls and comes from a middle-class family. Her father is a talented woodworker/carpenter, and her mother works in a nursing home. She came to love music through her grandfather, who taught her to sing and play guitar from a young age. Growing up in Australia, the ocean was the only thing Orisha loved as much as music. If she wasn't writing lyrics or singing, she was swimming or volunteering to clean up the beach. As her older sisters found their paths in life and left home, Orisha decided to pursue her own. She wanted to connect more with her Black culture and set her sights on attending an HBCU while she was still in secondary school. After years of working, saving, and applying for scholarships and loans, Orisha got accepted into DuBois University. Her first year at the school was a rough one. Being so far from home for the first time, in addition to the loss of her grandfather and devastating heartbreak, led her to fall into a deep depression. This year, she's trying to start anew and let go of her past, though she finds it may be holding her back more than she believes.


    Why DuBois? Orisha's sisters set the bar high to make a difference in the world and a name for themselves. Her oldest sister is a Foreign Aid Worker, and her middle sister is a professional wrestler. She admires how they both had the courage to leave home to find themselves and pursue their passions, so she did the same. In addition to connecting more with Black culture, something she struggled to do in Melbourne, Australia, she also wants to get out of her comfort zone.

She would always try to mimic the graceful movements of ballerinas she saw on TV. After much time spent saving up, her father enrolled her in dance courses so she could hone her skills in a professional setting. For the next 17 years, Celeste would train hard to become a dancer. She went on to attend DuBois University where she was a cheerleader for a few semesters. She had to stop when she got pregnant with her daughter Nadia.     Why DuBois: Celeste always knew in her heart she would someday attend an HBCU. She had fond memories of her visits to extended family in Georgia and came to think of the state as a second home. When she toured DuBois, she knew it was where she belonged.

    Not so fun fact: Due to her very traumatic experience with hurricane Katrina, Celeste is deathly terrified of storms.     like when karmyn was first born diana juggled work and having a child. though life was not the same as it had been before and there were struggles, the two of them made it work. she even went as far as to provide a daycare at her firm, for all the parents who needed it. and for a while, life went back to normal. things changed when karmyn’s mother introduced her to her “friend” tatiana, a wealthy supermodel, someone who came from old money. karmyn hadn’t thought much of it in the beginning. tatiana was a wonderful woman who cared for both her and her mother, the three of them got along well together. so when her mother revealed that tatiana was actually her partner, karmyn was overjoyed to have her around even more. though not everyone felt the same. when the two of them got married the media talked, people judged them for their actions and her father had even tried to come and get her. throughout this all the three of them only grew closer. nothing was able to break the bond that the three of them had.

    rural georgia is a place where things out of the ordinary rarely happen and the town of woodstock is no different. it came as no surprise that the youth would often get bored of their little old town. delores freeman had been one of those youths. a vivacious 20 something year old with big dreams, she often spoke of how she would one day leave her bland home. she was never someone who took things slow, she was always on the move and living it up like it was her last day on earth. so when she suddenly ditched down with some random man she’d met at one of the town’s only spas, it left her parents heartbroken but not surprised. at least delores had spoken with them through letters and post cards.

    nine months later she would return home with a coming home present swaddled in her arms. her parents welcomed her home, tried to ease her heartbreak as much as they could. the little bundle, jasper she’d named him, would serve to add more warmth to their little family. together they would raise him to be a fine young man. his mother would teach him to enjoy what life had to offer while his grandparents instilled traditional values into his head. but life was a fickle mistress and things did not turn out as they would hope.

    little jasper was only one three years old when he was all dressed in black, watching as the box that contained his mother was lowered into the ground. to the town it had been a hunting accident but his grandparents found out the truth after the funeral. delores had left a letter for them. delores begged for her parents to not treat him differently, to give him all of the love that she would no longer be able to. little jasper was still raised with those traditional values. he grew into a hardworking yet soft-spoken young man. the older folk would compliment his grandparents on raising such a fine gentleman, a boy who worked on his family’s farm and sold their goods without a complaint.

    before her mind went his grandma would tell him stories of gods and monsters. he’d listen with wide eyes and open ears, covers pulled up to his nose as she spoke. his faithful dog quake sleeping beside his bed, keeping him safe throughout the night. (Wip)

    【 background 】— brandon was born into a middle class family in houston tx. they lived in the worst area of houston, and many kid's dreams and ways out was-- sports. his father understood that, and took advantage of his dream in order to push him to be someone who could make it out of their living situation. he worked his ass off from the ages of 4 to around 10, before he started getting attention for his ability to play football at a young age locally. his coach(es) usually used him in order to make themselves look good, and this never sat well with bshaw. after fallouts with the people he held dearest, his coaches and teammates let him go.

    he moved on to the big stages during middle school, traveling around the world playing kids older than him; in order for him to get the experience he needed to play at his own level. his father was a ex-football player himself, filing for bankruptcy after a failed scandal and countless legal troubles. because of this, he always wasn't in the best light and around the best crowd, but he kept his head up and stayed on the narrow path of being a decent kid. during middle school, he was introduced to alot of stuff he wasn't supposed to be seeing as a 11-14 year old; gambling, gangs, murder, drugs, etc-- but due to his early knowledge he used this as fuel to make it out of where he was, understanding this was not the path to take early on-- or at all. as he progressed in school in football, he began to make connections to colleges and high schools in the texas area, where the sport was the main focus.

    he ended up going to a private school in dallas, doing well his freshman and sophomore year; but lacking size. he worked hard to make up for his size, not up to par when compared to his peers. as his work began to pay off; his genes kicked in, reaching a smooth 6'0 his junior year-- which was consequently his breakout year, as he began to attract colleges around the world. he didn't let this attention get to his head, keeping up his hard work to go even further; his dreams actually becoming feasible now. after his breakout year, his senior year he intended to work on getting recruited and his grades, so he could ensure he could get into any school he pleased. up till the day he was supposed to commit-- he made the crazy decision to commit to dubois, confusing his entire family and everyone who had their eyes on him. they still continued to support and follow him wherever he went, as he started his journey with the wolves.
