ximena reyes is the nicest person most have come in contact with. she's very caring, always smiling, and makes sure everyone has what they need. she's the mom of the group, always carting around a fanny pack or backpack full of stuff she thinks one might need. it's not that she's pretending either, x is just that type of person. what would make people say she's not nice is her first impression. her blunt and straightforward attitude immediately makes people think she's overcompensating the niceties when that's not the case. sometimes ximena just doesn't think she needs to beat around the bush and should just get straight to the point. she realizes not everyone is like this, but she doesn't care and will continue on anyway. at times she can be a bit overbearing, but she honestly means well.
though ximena is as sweet as pie, she does have another side to her that would probably make people think she was being fake nice. she sets the record from going 0-100 super quick and it usually only happens under a few circumstances. one would be anyone messing with the people she cares about, another is being disrespectful, and lastly when she's just pissed off. she's no stranger to fighting people and will definitely be the one to throw the first punch. it's not that she has a short temper, but rather doesn't tolerate people she deems annoying. her past history with fighting is also a reason people tend to steer clear of her if they aren't within her inner circle, even if she's repeatedly told people her reasoning behind wanting to fight all the time.
when it comes to relationships, ximena is fiercely loyal. no one else is going to have her attention and she expects the same of whoever is dating her at the time. if not, then it is highly likely things will end in either a fight and her dumping you, or a fight, her dumping you, and her getting arrested... again. she wants to best for not just her friends but her partner as well and will be supportive of everything they do. if she can manage to be there for them she will always show up with the biggest sign out of everyone (even if the event doesn't require a sign). when she loves she loves hard, even if the concept of it all scares her to death.
despite her many flaws, ximena is a good person. she remains dedicated and works hard to not only achieve her dreams but to help those around her achieve theirs. she's the type of person you would want in your corner as a comrade and not as an enemy. not just because she could ruin your life just as quickly as she helped you put it together, but because she'll make sure her friends climb with her. it doesn't matter if they're in the same field as she is, she's the kind of person that wouldn't leave them behind because of it.
- first stage of lifeximena reyes is originally from DFW in texas alongside her cousin, Del. the two of them ran through the streets of Dallas together causing nothing but trouble in their community. not the kind of trouble that would get them arrested - all the time - but enough that they would be considered delinquents. though the two of them were cousins they would just tell people they were sisters since they were so close to each other. because ximena is the youngest of the two, she considered herself the younger sister and looked up to del. nearly everywhere del went, xi went... including going to juvie. a few graffiti portraits here B&Es there and of course they would get locked up. ximena was assigned community service and the neighborhood dance studio took her in and made her mop floors and clean the bathrooms. it was there that she was first exposed to dancing and fell in love with it. even after her service she stuck around to do stuff for the owner and take lessons until she was recruited by the leader of a dance group known as 'The Royal Family'. though she would have to travel a lot for shows, the youth group of the main company was based in her neighborhood.second stage of lifeeventually ximena became the leader of the youth group, making up their choreography and recruiting members of her own. they had gone on to win championships and even open for big events all over the world. since they were gaining more fame, the idea that the youth group should be closer to the parent company had been thrown in the air. for x, that meant moving to la. the idea of leaving her family behind - leaving del behind didn't sit well with her. she sat on it for weeks, until she got into some trouble. while she and del were in juvie, there was a group of girls who would always pester them. since del and xi were fighters they beat them up. now that the girls were out, they sought out ximena alone to jump her, and in the mess, she was stabbed. once she was released from the hospital, the decision to leave was easy.third stage of lifeafter graduation highschool, ximena decided to attend dubois and try out their dance program. it made it even better that a section of 'The Royal Family' would be in the area. that really stressful part was whether or not mick would be coming.

* personalityacadia brinson is and always has been perfect. from birth to her most recent birthday, things seemed to have gone her way and with little to no mishaps. from getting the libero position on the volleyball team to perfecting her ice skating routines everything had been pristine. people may think it was pure luck that her life went the way she wanted, but in reality, it was because she worked hard every day to achieve her dreams. so hard, in fact, that her social life has been almost non-existent because of it. acadia is so goal-oriented and driven that she often skips out on having fun if she can't make it fit into her schedule - which she literally keeps track of every day. she's planned out nearly every aspect of her life the same way she has her days which makes her a bit controlling. to acadia this was normal even though people on the outside may not see it as such. luckily she's able to blame her obsessive planning and need to have things so uniform on her OCD. mind you, she didn't go crazy if something was moved just a centimeter off but she didn't like it when things weren't uniform and in order.
when it comes to how she interacts with people, she's normally outgoing - but only if she's interested in talking. if not, she'll just focus on whatever it is she's working on. just like her mother, she's sarcastic and it takes a moment for her to truly open up but when she does you know you have a friend for life. acadia is loyal to those she allows in her inner circle and will do her best to make time for them. a lot of the time, however, she was falling outs with her friends and it's usually because of her blunt attitude. most people don't want to hear the truth and acadia doesn't have time to beat around the bush with them. though she truly does care about people's feelings, she doesn't believe she should be responsible for them if they get hurt asking her her opinion.

* historyacadia brinson was born in houston,texas just a few minutes after her twin brother. her father, jaeson brinson, is an NBA hall of famer while her mother, symone brinson, is a psychiatrist. ever since she was born she had been treated like daddy's princess, nearly getting whatever she wanted until symond put an end to it. she didn't want her daughter growing up to be a spoiled brat so she would make her earn everything she was given. while in the beginning acadia was annoyed by this, she quickly came to learn that the reward for working hard was far better than a handout. studying hard to get good grades, practicing until she got the positions she wanted, all of it felt incredibly rewarding in the end and acadia came to appreciate what her mother had taught her.
when she was seven she had started to get into ice skating and symone supported this, taking time off work to get her to an ice rink and her own coach. by the time she was 14 she had been pulling off moves that not even professionals could and would win nearly every competition she competed in. when approached and asked what her dream was, ice skating was not it. her dream had actually been to open a bookstore with a connected bakery/coffee shop. during her long trips, she often had books to keep her company and had fallen in love with them. she's not only getting her MBA to help her father's business, but also to help her build her own once she graduates.

-->-->"You've gotta lose your mind, just to find your peace of mind."personalitywhen it comes to first impressions, ahlivia gives off the shy and sweet type of girl. someone you know would listen to all your problems and just sit there rather than try and solve them. you could talk to her for hours on end before realizing that you were just rambling and she would let you. however, must of the time it's not because she cares to hear what you have to say - which she does sometimes - but a way to avoid talking about herself. when she first meets someone, ahlivia takes a moment to figure out how they are which in turn helps her figure out how to behave. she uses a masking technique along with her false title of being a good listener to avoid ever being close with anyone. it's not because she wants to keep an air of mystery about her either - she just prefers keeping people at arms length.
ahlivia has perfected the art of sharing just enough to get a conversation going, but not so much that people got to know her. she's closed her heart off to any kind of romantic advancements, keeping her emotions to herself and even encouraging those she does like to go after other people. ahlivia doesn't trust other people and she damn sure doesn't trust herself when it comes to this department so she'd rather not participate at all. besides, with how slow on the pickup she was she wouldn't even notice if someone was into her.
the parts of her she does share, however, are always on full display. she's goofy and humorous, often using the two as coping mechanisms. she's no stranger to dark humor and appreciates those who don't make a big deal out of it. though it may not seem like it, ahlivia is an adrenaline junkie. her social media feeds are full of pictures and videos of her skydiving, bungee jumping, and even jumping off cliffs into the ocean. her outwardly, quiet appearance hides this very well up until you start following her private account. once you get to know her you see how energetic and passionate she gets about things that interest her - anime, her work, movies, etc... if you heavily sigh during one of her rambles, she'll apologize profusely then never bring them up again.
most people often think ahlivia is playing people with her whole sweetheart act. there are times she doesn't realize she's doing something to hurt someone else and by the time she does, it's too late. there are times she would intentionally hurt someone else - usually, if they attacked her first - but she tries not to do so unintentionally. when she realizes her mistake she tries to fix it only to make it worse with her mouth. either she snaps - making her seem like an asshole - breaks down in tears - making it seem like she's trying to turn the things in her favor - or she simply says the wrong thing. whatever the case, ahlivia just can't seem to get out of her own way which is another reason she tries to keep to herself.
overall ahlivia tries so hard to be a nice person and not be a burden on others, even if she does somehow manage the opposite of her intentions.
- first stage of lifeahlivia had a crazier life than most. she was adopted by a lesbian couple, who she secretly thinks are hippies. the two of them were a power couple in la, one a lead computer programmer at a lucrative tech company and the other a lawyer. they weren't to be called 'mom' or any form of it, so liv grew up calling them by their names - tasha and liara. liv was allowed to be free of most rules kids would have such as curfews, drinking alcohol, doing drugs, etc... liara, the lawyer, informed her daughter that she could definitely break those rules but if she got caught that was all on her. ahlivia, however, she still knew there were rules not to be broken and therefore rarely ever broke any. the three of them always had breakfast and dinner together and occasionally liv would meet them for lunch. the two women made sure they were in liv's life but not so much as to smother her. ahlivia didn't have much to complain about when it came to her life, even if she often did feel different from her parents. they had long since told her she was adopted and sometimes she wanted to know about her real parents. she would never tell them this because she feared hurting their feelings, but she couldn't help herself.second stage of lifeevery summer their family traveled to the turks and caicos islands. one their first trip, liv met sierra and they hit it off. unfortunately, she lived in Australia but the two of them became penpals after that. when she was 15, the two of them spent the entire summer together and had barely seen their parents. it was with her that she had done all the crazy, adrenaline-inducing activities with - bungee jumping, cliff diving, skydiving - everything. one night, the two of them attended a party being thrown on the beach. ahlivia was playing the mom card to sierra, who had gotten drunk. towards the pinnacle of the night, sierra decided to go for a night swim. she figured the bonfire would be good enough to guide her back if she needed it. liv tried to convince her out of it, but she fought her off. ahlivia joined her in the water but remained in the shallow in while sierra went further until liv couldn't see her anymore. liv tried her best to call out for her and for help but she knew what had happened and rushed to the police. sierra had drowned and ahlivia blamed herself for it. after that, ahlivia wasn't the same and no amount of therapy was going to change that.third stage of lifeEven though it's been two years since the incident, ahlivia still blames herself for it. she also has a fear of the ocean now and avoids going to the beach if she can help it. she still goes to therapy to make her parents happy, but she doesn't see a need for it. she doesn't feel like she's getting any better and the once-a-week sessions are nothing but a waste of money. instead, she's been diving into her work of literature, writing plays, and trying her hand at musicals.
