Wake up. Get dressed. Go to school. Come home. Sleep.
Every day it was the same schedule, and while some may grow bored of such a routine Terra loved it. Never in her life had she experienced a normalcy like this, such consistency. Before, her laugh had never followed a schedule. She loved to travel, sure, but there were many times where she longed to be like so many of those girls she would see in the city; the ones who woke up at the same time every day to go to school while they laughed among friends.
It just looked so easy.
Now? Now she finally had that life, finally had a chance at the normal life that she so desperately craved once upon a time. Terra finally had it, and yet ... something didn't feel right. It took her days, weeks even, to figure out just why her new life was beginning to leave a slight feeling of dread. In a way, she was running away once again. Just as she had always done, Terra was pretending that her past problems no longer existed and she could start all over in a new environment where nobody knew her.
Well, almost nobody.
Beast Boy appeared to remember, but Terra was almost certain that she had derailed him from trying to bring back any suppressed memories. They were all there, honestly, but she chose to move on. It was easier and more than likely safer for everyone around her to just move on. That's what she told herself anyway. It was the only real way she could convince herself that she wasn't running away from her problems -- that this was, in fact, the only solution to them.
Thoughts like that appeared to be at an all time high near the end of the school day, but thankfully little time remained before the clock struck 3:30. Her teacher scrambled to announce the homework assignment for the night, but most of the students were already piling into the hallway, including Terra. Her friends were in another class entirely, so she would have to wait for them outside. It was less cluttered out there anyway, and she much preferred waiting out there as to lingering in the hallway with all the other students.
The school yard was littered with students, but Terra managed to move by them with ease. The fence surrounding the school was relatively devoid of lingering students, so she chose to wait there for her friends to show up.
Despite the boring instances, the normalcy was indeed nice.
