This is my first time using roleplay forums! Could someone give me a rundown of how I would generally find and join a roleplay?

They have guides here but that's not how reality works. Unless you have role-play samples and alot of posts, they will ignore you. I am brand new and I've already seen two people on this site get totally ignored. I myself tried what the guides said and also got totally ignored. Those other two people left. I'm sticking around. I'll play with my own roleplay with myself. I know people are reading my posts, just not joining.

I'm also going to stick around and just troll and have conversations in non-roleplay chat. LOL! Wow I'm such a loser but I don't give a crap.....
