A man sits at the table, sunk deep into his chair with a smoking pipe in his hands, the wooden pipe carved elegantly but shows wear and tear from years of use. "I know a tale or two." his gruff voice rings through the air, near impossible to ignore even with the ramble rousers making noise around you. Almost pleased to finally have an ear to talk off the beard man rises up in his seat, pointing the chewed tip of the pipe at you, a smile breaking across his whiskered lips. "Stop me if you've heard this one..."

Personae

Appearance:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             A above average build and a shaggy weathered look that nothing but storm and time may produce, the man cuts a wise figure. His shaggy beard roughly kept while his hair grew freely without a care. His clothing a tattered and well worn set of durable cloth, primarily made for protection against cold and rain, with a cloak to fully cover his head should a storm hit. What minimal armor he has lays upon his shoulders and upper chest, protection his heart, shoulders and lungs. Along with shin guards added to his boots to have some protection against those who may swipe low... or perhaps those who might be attacking from below in the first place.  At his side lay his blade, a good quality blade once, time and use has tested it but it remains reliable.

Equipment:  Patchwork armor covering shins, shoulders and upper body. Timeworn steel sword, tried and true. A tall walking stick, carved elegantly and holds a strange feeling of power. A small fire making kit with flint and tinder, A pouch of money, a good quality bag for carrying various odds and ends. A reindeer(named Petunia), several days worth of food and water for lean times. A journal recording adventures and stories.

Personality:
A jolly yet gruff man, he knows his words and letters and has more then set them to use. Always ready to break out into a story or song just as much as he is ready to scorn and chastise. A worldly man with a drive to see all it has to offer, the strange, mundane, otherworldly, he wishes nothing more than to have a epic of his very own. A story or song that goes beyond the simplicity of the mundane, he could write up a simple lyric but that would not be suitable, the story must be perfect, the song captivating. Though, in all his travels his experiences have been less then worthy of his story, sure he had some strange encounters but nothing worthy of his epic.

Biography

Place of birth: Midhalpad

Kind of people: Midhalpadian

Background:
To describe this man's many adventures would talk pages upon pages of paper, and more words than the average person can read in one sitting... if they can read at all. his job was is admirable one, not only as a story teller, song singer, but his travels bring with him news. And to those villages he has came upon in the past know him as such, a traveller comes in and leaves, he stays for awhile and tells of the larger cities, the ongoings of the world around the poor sods in the middle of nowhere. Even those stuck in the middle of a gigantic wood need to remember there is people out beyond at times. Alongside this he takes up various other jobs, delivering messages, passing along information or what have you. Anything to line his pockets that little bit more. As for where he was born, where he was raised, he is rather tight lipped on such things. A small village in the middle of nowhere he says, "Not worth mentioning the dirt is lays on." often accompanied by a spit or two. often moving to distract them with a tale of trolls or elves, whimsical tales to truely drive away such demons. often his tales come as "personal experiences." With recurring characters such as Ake the troll, a dimwitted but jolly fellow, a illusive Elf woman whos name he cannot say, a wise dwarf with a hat that stretched to the top of a man's head. He is at his happiest when he tells stories, a world away in the land of his memories. Away from the aches and pains of the mortal coil. He does like to sing now and again, though his repertoire is quite less then his stories mind. And his practice in such less then equal.

Abilities

Qualities:
A man with an ability to entertain, he uses this ability to it's fullest whenever he can. To make coin or perhaps distract a dimwitted fellow. His knowledge of the otherworldly is also quite hefty in it's own right, though peeling away whats falsehood and truth may be hard on occasion... Even harder to ascertain when something is both. he is also actually rather thrifty, a right bastard to haggle with and is more then willing to negotiate prices.

Drawbacks:
His words tend to have alot of double meanings and possibly can be seen as "thinking he is better then us" by those whom "don't think so good" as such he makes about as many friends as he does otherwise. And due to a past injury, even if he still carries the blade around, he doesn't quite wield a blade to well, he wasn't to strong with it in the first place but now it's terribly straining to wield. He also seems to have this ever present cough, a sure sign of a man whos spent time with elves, if one were to know about such things.
Special Abilities: (If any)
To weave the winds, his skills are taught by a certain elven woman whom he is not allowed to name... why? he can't really say, not because it's part of the deal it's because he really just doesn't know. Perhaps she is screwing with him? perhaps she wants secrecy? hell doesn't matter, not like he parades his abilities to weave like a knight's parade armor. His abilities would be best described as intermediate, can be create a gout of flame? Indeed! A gust of wind to blow the flames away? Quite so! can he make the trees talk? No, but he doubt they'd make good conversationalist anyways. Major parts of his repertoire is such. 1) Creation of flame 2) manipulation of winds 3)Can move slight amounts of earth, say if one's cart is stuck in the mire, comes in handy he'd tell you! Of course, his power is not to great, but given time and preparation he could perform great feats. And, he can always learn more!
