Fantasy Howl's Flying Castle (Finished! ---Whoo! (*^▽^)/)

- Sorcerer's Academy -

" Hallways "

Seifer regarded her coolly for a moment, then strode forward leisurely and stood in a spot where Renee would be between him and a wall. He deliberately lowered his face close to hers, daring her to back off. The haughty archer had a scent that reminded one of forests after a thunderstorm. Their noses were a mere millimeters away. " You're on chicken girl." he said snidely. "Though . . . I have a better wager." and he moved closer to the point that their foreheads and noses will touch if Renee didn't move away.

He placed his hands against the wall so that Renee would have to duck under his arms so that she wouldn't be cornered--- or slap him, whichever works. He was so "in your face" just taking up so much personal space. "We fight today, after school in the west courtyard. Loser gets to do whatever the winner wants for three months. Well?"

Seifer had a superior knowing look in his stormy grey eyes, as though he knew Renee will back off and just settle for the tournament bid.

" Hallways "

"I'm f-f-f-fine." stuttered Johnny, leaning on the wall for support. It was his 'I'm-not-okay-but-I-don't-want-you-to-worry-about-me' type of 'fine' again. "E-Echo, c-could you help me to my master's class in the west wing?" he really looked like he was going to faint again. "I'd summon Butters, but he's short-tempered and very protective. It'd be too dangerous. You're not busy, are you?" he reached out a hand gesturing to be helped back on his feet.

-Renee Pendragon-

Renee was cornered between the wall and Seifer, her heart beating fast when he got into her personal space. She can practically smell him, which was odd. Everything was odd! Every time she's near him, her heart would beat quickly and her hands would sweat. She didn't understand why this happens when she didn't like the guy!!

Taking a deep breathe (mentally gagging when she realized that she's breathing in his scent too, ew! No!), Renee grinned, pushing her forehead onto his, hard. She's not backing down. She's pushing back.

"What's wrong? You'd rather fight at school then at a bigger arena? Where there's a bigger audience? Fine, you chicken. I won't bruise your ego too much." She taunted, her grin grew bigger.

"You're on." With that, Renee simply went under his arm and sauntered away from the now quiet group with her smoke bomb. Once she was sure that no one was nearby however, the winged teen let herself fall on the floor, her legs gave out from all the trembling and muttered in a horrified voice. "James...is going to kill me for this." Her wings were trembling harshly at the thought of James hearing about this bet.

"He's going to kill me!!!"

-Echo Muses-

Echo grabbed his hand, nodding at him. "No, I'm not busy at the moment." She pulled him up, not letting go of his hand as she helped him walk to his master's class. "You're not fine...but I'll help you to class since you asked." The red head replied quietly, still worried about him.

- After Classes -

" West Courtyard "

Seifer, for a fraction of a millisecond, was surprised when Renee head butted him, but recovered his cool and pushed back. He was smirking when Renee left. There was a red mark on his forehead where her jewel had pressed against it.  "Interesting. " He clapped his hands together. "Get a bucket of gravy ready boys, I've got a chicken to roast."

By the end of the day, word had spread like wildfire that the girl who's been taking on the Whomping Willow had picked a fight with the popular Seifer, the sixth year's best arcane archer. A sizeable crowd had gathered around the west courtyard with popcorn, drinks, and there was a teacher too who would referee the duel, for a duel it was. Unlike backside brawls, a duel was a proper fight with set rules and precautions that prevented the duelists from accidentally maiming each other. Weapons were to be blunted by the teacher and destructive magic, such as the summoning of warbeasts, was forbidden.

The crowd was composed of people who wanted to see that jerk Seifer get beaten by a Pendragon --- Howl had garnered quite a reputation when he was still studying here and was known to be talented enough to replace Madam Suliman. The students were interested in finding out if his daughter was just as good. --- students who were just interested in seeing a fight, but most of them were composed of Seifer's fan girls carrying banners decorated with hearts who hissed insults at Renee.

Seifer sauntered into the courtyard amidst the cheers of screaming girls. He was clad in his battle gear that looked like it had seen action already, and had his white hair smoothed neatly back. He winked at the girls and gave them 'the smolder' look like Valentino, and the girls swooned, many fainting into their friends' arms. His gang was there and seemed to be rolling a barrel of some sloshy liquid behind him.

In the distance James was leaning against a tree taking a break from taming Spark. He only watched from afar, but the moment he saw Renee look his way he pointed at Seifer, made a throat slicing gesture, then gave a thumbs up.

- Johnny Caprice -

" Hallways "

Johhny leaned heavily on Echo's shoulder, his sheep horns bumping on her reindeer antlers. His fainting was no joke, he was slightly bent-over from the pain in his stomach, his legs were wobbly and his hands were cold and clammy. He was trying to smile, but he just ended up grimacing as he said, "Much appreciated."

It was like helping an old man who can barely walk. A breeze blew from an open window, wafting Johnny's scent Echo's way. He smelled deeply of earth and cedar, and something spicy that could not be named.

Passing students looked at them oddly, then upon recognizing Echo's pots smiled as if they were watching a romantic show on display. Johnny seemed to get the gist because then he'd look away from Echo, his face red from embarrassment. Although he kind of didn't mind that the people were teasing them as a couple. In fact, it kind of made him happy.

Then it hit him. He really, really, like-liked Echo. When did that happen? At the beginning he was flattered by her affections and found her personality very interesting what with the pots and all, but he wasn't attracted to her since he wasn't attracted to her looks. Then he got to know her and found her quite easy to talk to and though shy on the outside, inside she was a fighter. On any other girl he would have found that quite scary, but instead he found it reassuring. 'Oh . . . she was like Butters . . . fluffy on the outside, but brave in the inside.' thought Johnny and kind of laughed a little, his stomach ache fading.

Now he understood what James meant about feeling nice having someone to care for you, but not in a sissy way. He didn't feel like a sissy asking help from Echo. Wow, this girl was just all sorts of different from any girl he's ever met and all in a good way.

When they reached the classroom, Johnny held on to Echo's hand a tad longer than normal and was very embarrassed but happy when he muttered thanks again.

-Renee Pendragon-

Renee made sure to have as many as her invented herb mixes as she could in her pouch and made sure her clothes are not loose and ready for the duel.

Seifer is the best arcane archer in the sixth year class, the same class as hers. She knew that he'll aim for anything that's an easy target. It's difficult to aim for smaller targets; She knew since she's an archer too, but she had a feeling that he will try to aim anywhere on her body...including her wings. So no loose clothes and her wings will stay close to her head unless she transforms.

Once Renee walked to the west courtyard and into the duel's field, she was overwhelmed by the crowd, not used to seeing this many people watching her. It made her nervous, her wings folded tightly on her head. If this is just the school...imagine the tournament...

She spun slowly on her spot, observing the courtyard and trying to get used to the jeers and cheers until she saw her brother near a tree. He looks like he's taking a break. She hoped her candies helped him...

She blinked in surprise when James made hand motions to take Seifer down and grinned. That...made her feel confident and supported. Renee made a thumbs up to her brother and nodded. Her wings fluttering happily before she remembered that she's about to fight and folded her wings again.

She can be happy after the duel...

The winged teen turned to face Seifer, only to be taken off guard as his ...fan club?...drooled in his presence and she cringed a bit. That's not sane...these girls are not sane when it comes to Seifer. It was...kind of gross in the most disturbing and fascinating way she ever has seen. Quickly shaking her head, the winged teen noticed the barrel behind Seifer and raised an eyebrow. What's in that barrel?

"What is that for?" Renee shouted over the cheers and insults from his fan club, pointing at the barrel his goons were rolling. It got her curious...and a bit of dread.

-Echo Muses-

Echo supported Johnny's weight, not minding their horns bumping into each other. She can tell that he's trying his best on not making her worried, but she is worried for him. The red head blushed a bit when she realized that they were really close and looked in front of her. Her heart skipped a beat...two....three times as she helped him to class.

Somehow...she's happy that Johnny wasn't fainting from her touching him. He even allowed her to help him, a guy who wanted to take care of himself. It's...definitely a good feeling.

When they reached to his classroom, Echo noticed that he didn't let go as quickly, smiling shyly when she heard his thanks.

"It's no problem..." She muttered back, her blush spreading from her cheeks to her whole face, looking like a cherry. Echo squeezed his hand gently before letting it go and stood there, one hoof rubbed the back of the other leg. She didn't want to leave, but she knew she had to...like right now....

"Um...want to hang out after class today?" Echo asked timidly, her green eyes looking up at his.

"Yes, that would be marvelous, Echo! " said Johnny. " I'll be waiting in the great hall. And you have string in your antlers." he unwound the wires and tangles out of Echo's antlers and brushed off those that fell on her hair. He had a twinkling look over his eyes as if he was tenderly taking care of a baby Butters. He tucked a hair out of her face for a moment before immediately withdrawing his hand and going red, as though he realized his actions were too intimate. "Sorry, sorry! That was too, er . . . intimate."

Behind them the door opened a minute later and Professor Magnus' head appeared in the gap. "Ahem." he coughed, "Classes have started ten minutes ago, Caprice." he said sternly.

"Ah, yes, forgive me, master." Johnny bowed to him and went in the classroom. "See you later Echo." he whispered cheerfully and closed the door behind him. Inside could be heard the whispering chatter and giggles of girls.

Johnny had decided, he was going to gather his courage and ask her out this afternoon.

- West Courtyard -

" Duel begins! "

Seifer didn't notice Renee as he jogged around the center raising his bow to the cheer of his fans, or was he ignoring her on purpose? He certainly didn't acknowledge her presence as he passed her until a student announcer, whom memory served right was one of Seifer's friends, came up. There was a student announcer?

The student pointed his wand at his throat and uttered a spell. Then his voice boomed across the courtyard as though he was speaking through a megaphone. "Wa-hey, everybody! I'm the man Announcer Mike and welcome to the wizards duel between Renee Pendragon ---", there was some clapping and cheering from Renee's classmates, "---- aaaaaand Seifer Raaaaathmore!" the girls went wild. "But this is no ordinary duel," continued Announcer Mike, "at the end of this fight whoever loses will have to do the winner's  bidding for the next three months." Some of Renee's classmates looked at her worriedly and in the distance James stopped leaning. "And so without further ado, duelists, to the ends of the courtyard!"

Seifer strode to one end where he had his arrows and weapons dulled by the refereeing teacher through an enchantment. The teacher dulled Renee's weapons too and checked that she didn't have any explosives or anything that would make a parent come down and sue the school.

Seifer wasn't smirking now. His stormy grey eyes were fixed on Renee and they were calm and grim. His expression was calculating and confident, the eyes of someone experienced.

After the teacher made sure all was well, he raised his wand in the air, the crowd tensing, and fired green sparks. "Fight!"

-Echo Muses-

Echo blushed again when Johnny tucked her hair as he dusted away the strings, her heart skipping a beat when she noticed his eyes. They look so gentle, like he was taking care of something precious...

When he looked away, she looked away as well, giggling quietly as she rubbed her arm. "N-no, it's...it's okay..." Echo couldn't believe it. He actually looked at her like she was someone precious. It's...it's such an intimate moment. Of course, she giggled again when Professor Magnus peeked through the door and reminded the pair about class.

Oops...

With a wave at Johnny, Echo whispered back her goodbye before smiling in such a happy and goofy manner. Cupping her reddened cheeks, she walked away from the door to return to her class that started minutes ago. 'Oh my goodness...' The red head skipped in her way to class, not minding the teacher scolding her for being late.

-Renee Pendragon-

Renee rolled her eyes, before flinching at the student....announcer's booming voice that was amplified by magic. Why do they have a student announcer? She didn't care much about it... After letting the teacher check on her pouch and dulling her weapon, she went back to her spot, remembering to calm down and use tactics.

Breathing in to calm down and think, Renee looked back where Seifer was, noticing how he was staring. Seems like he was experienced in combat, unlike her. She's not gonna be intimidated nor will she back down. The winged teen knew how fear felt like and this...was not it. Yes, she is trembling, but it's because this is her first real duel. Nerves are bad in a fight...but fear...fear is deadly when it's life or death.

Renee couldn't help but remember how she felt with the baby dragon that choked her down from helping Sunny get out of the manna tree. She remembered how the shades shredded her wing. She remembered how she couldn't breathe from the deathwing's ring of fire.

She couldn't help but remember her resolve.

The winged teen stood there, her muscles loose but ready at the chance she can get. She didn't take her eyes off her enemy, not glaring, not gazing; simply observing him.

When the teacher fired green sparks from his wand, Renee quickly zigzag-ed towards Seifer, making it hard for him to shoot with his bow as she shortened his range. She reached in her pouch to grab a couple of small brown balls and tossed it to his feet. The sticky goo balls will make his feet stick to the ground, unable to make him move from his spot.

Enough time for her to change and tackle him to the ground.

Johnny knew that he resolved to ask Echo out, but on second thought this was so scary, like jumping off a cliff. Hang it all he was so nervous. What if he had read her wrong, and all the things she's been doing was how she normally was and she just wanted to be friends? Or worse, what if she'll laugh at him? Or much worse, she gets scared and then wouldn't want to be friends with him anymore?

His legs were jelly and he was feeling faint again --- but, no, he will not be deterred by his bodily shinanigans. She was already coming . . . there she is. It was like he was having tunnel vision, all he could see was Echo while everything else was a blur. The columns of golden afternoon light shining from the tall windows once more gave the edges of her dark red fur the soft light of glowing embers. Her bright green eyes reflected the sun and they really look like emeralds that caught the sunset . . . was it his imagination, or was the wind playing soothing music in the background?

Johnny gulped, but stood tall and determined. He was going to do it. He was going to ask her. He was going to ask her.

" Duel begins! "

With one smooth fluid motion Seifer knocked an arrow and fired. It missed. He shot again, and again, and all three arrows missed the weaving and bobbing Renee, stopping dead at the barriers that surrounded the courtyard. He backed away making sure there was a good distance between them and leapt out of the way of the brown sludge, which splattered a good area of the ground in slowing goo. He sprinted around the edge of the field, another arrow already in place.

"Sirus Gigantica!" The air around the arrow tip shimmered as though it had been enchanted. If memory served right, this was an intermediate spell that made non-living things twice as large and made them that much heavier.

-Echo at the Grand hallway-

After class, Echo practically ran out of the room, jogging towards the great hallway. Other students who saw her run raised an eyebrow, but the few who saw Johnny waiting at the Great hallway understood and smiled at her. One or two couples even giggled at her excitement as she looked like she's a child winning a candy lottery ticket to visit a chocolate factory.

The red head stopped at the turn of the hallways, fixing her hair and clothes as much as she could before giving up on it. She didn't know why she's even trying to prim up when there's no mirror or no other optional pots to hang on her antlers. All she does know is that she wants to look nice for Johnny...

She wants to look nice...for Johnny...?

Echo almost bleated in embarrassment, blushing as red as her hair. She covered her face so no one would see her silly smile of joy or her wide eyes go wider. Her heart's pounding hard against her rib cage, it might as well make an imprint on her chest. Is she really that excited to see Johnny?

'Yes...I am...' Echo thought, sighing as she placed her hands on her beating heart. After a minute of trying and failing on calming her heart, the red head stood straight up and walked around the corner. She spotted Johnny waiting and walked towards him, waving her arm so he could see her.

The closer she got, the harder it was to be aware of her surroundings. She felt like everything was in slow motion. It reminded her of the nurse's office: With the afternoon ray's shining through the large windows, it reflected on Johnny's light hair, making it look more golden. His hat shadowed his eyes again, making look intense and focused...on her.

She blushed and smiled at him. "H-hi Johnny....Ready to g-go?"

-Renee in a duel at the West courtyard-

Renee chased after Seifer, still trying to shorten the distance between them. Hearing the spell he cast, she transformed and jumped up to fly while making a small barrier over her face like a mask. Then she reached into her pouch to grab a medium sized ball and tossed it to where Seifer was running to.

With the impact on the floor, it'll release a purple puff of sleeping gas...

Seifer's arrow hit Renee on the chest knocking the wind out of her at the same time a purple plume exploded before him, enveloping the arcane archer in sleeping gas; Renee's upper clothes began to grow larger until they were twice as big and hung loosely around her.

A figure burst through the cloud and Seifer was holding his breath and smirking as the loose sleeveless cloth became too revealing. There was already another arrow ready to fire before Renee was finally able to close the gap between them.

-Renee Pendragon-

Clutching her chest, Renee cooed in pain from her breathe being taken away and noticed something strange about her shirt. Then she glared at the now dubbed pervert. Ripping her shirt off, not caring as much since she has a tube top under her sleeveless shirt, she flew closer to Seifer, now zig-zagging in different directions.

In the meanwhile, Renee secretly readied four of her goo balls to toss, though this time she's going to aim at Seifer's bow, arrow and the hand that's holding the bow.

"Echo, do you --- Echo, do you want to go out with me this weekend?" asked Johnny seriously. He looked paler than usual and his legs were shaking anxiously, but he was determined.

The weekend was the start of the warlock tournament. It was going to be festive occasion with many stalls to visit, many fights to watch, and a lot of travelling entertainers and merchants who will be setting up exotic shows and shops.

- West Courtyard -

" Duel begins! "

His second arrow hit Renee in the chest again. It hurt, as if a bone finally gave way and cracked. Now it was the tube top that was growing too large. Seifer laughed as he side-stepped and evaded her next attack which almost got him --- almost! Renee was too close now and instead of knocking another arrow, he unsheathed a rapier encrusted with sapphires from his side and pointed it at Renee, taunting her. He had a cocky grin on his face.

"You're a thousand years to early to beat me, Pendragon!" he crowed. This wasn't true, they were more or less equal in skill, but Seifer was milking it for all its worth. Despite the arrogant attitude, he seemed to understand that a fight was more about the mindset of a person. If you can mess that up, that'll be the end of them. He also seemed to be goading Renee to fully transform into a bird by messing with her clothes where he knew she would not have human hands to toss her infernal little bombs.

Her ears twitched in her excitement as she giggled happily.

-Renee Pendragon-

'Damn it! Again with that confounded spell!' She thought angrily, now panting hard as she tied her now large top. That hit really hurt-! Then again it's fight, so it's to be expected. She couldn't transform fully yet to cover her chest with plumage, even if she wanted to badly right now.

Renee ignored Seifer's taunting, she's so close to him now! As she quickly flew closer, the winged teen grabbed another batch of her goo bombs to toss at him again, this time at his feet and hands.

That way, he'll be stuck in the spot he's in and she can tackle him to the barrier. Hard.

Perhaps his boast was too soon, because next thing Seifer knew he was knocked hard into the barrier, his sword stuck in his hand and covered with goo. His feet too. Renee had just tackled him and he angrily returned the favor by hugging her arms in place so that they were stuck together feet and all. They were now just wrestling on the ground covered in sticky goo, feathers, and their white hair all pell-mell, unable to get away from each other.

"Good grief! What kind of numbskull tackles someone covered in their own sticky bomb?!" snarled Seifer angrily as they rolled across the courtyard amidst the laughs of the onlookers. This was so ungraceful, and he tried to get an upper hand by head butting Renee.

"This numbskull, you perverted jerk!" She yelled as loud as she could in his ear.

Renee transformed back as they rolled around the ground, not feeling ashamed at all. In fact, she grinned mischievously at him as she head butted him at the same time as he did.

"How else would I be able to stop you from using your arrows and rapier?! Tell me that, you arrogant pig!"

The winged teen struggled to grab something from her pouch and managed to snap the stick part of her lollipop. Then she pulled her arms in between their bodies, since that was the only place that wasn't covered in goo and tries to shove the Antidote lollipop in his big mouth-! Does he not stop talking in a fight? Apparently not.

"Oi, oi, what kind of a rubbish fight is this?!" Jeered some guys from the laughing crowd as Renee tried to shove something in Seifer's mouth. The archer was extending his neck as far as he could while trying to crush Renee in a vice-like hug, twisting and turning his head here and there with his mouth clamped shut. But when he glimpsed that it was a lollipop, he couldn't help himself.

"Now you're trying to make me eat lo ---?!" began Seifer incredulously, but then pop and it was in his mouth. "Mmm!" his eyes widened in surprise. It was now a matter of who was going to pass out first. Seifer who was being drugged or Renee whose lungs were being crushed.

Everyone was laughing. Even the teacher and announcer who was taking pictures. Somewhere in the distance James was just watching with his mouth hanging open dumbfounded. In the crowd, Johhny had come over after hearing about the fight and was watching the entire scene with his face scrunched up and his mouth twitching as though he was trying not to laugh.

But in the end, it was Seifer who passed out first. The crowd was shocked and still laughing. They clapped for Renee, amazed and highly humored. Seifer's gang tried to play the win down by saying this was all ridiculous and that it wasn't even a real fight, "I mean come on! Lollipop?!", but there was no denying it.

The teacher stood over the stuck duelists and said with a face as though he was trying hard not to laugh either. "A-and the winner iiiiis, Renee Pendragon!"

-Renee Pendragon-

Renee gasped and panted, smiling like a loon. She won...She won her first fight and it shut Seifer's mouth too. 'Finally! I never thought he would shut up!' She thought in humor, as she pulled away from Seifer's dead weight body.

Echo came by after class, worried about the fight that Renee was supposed to be in...with a bucket of water, just in case. As she watched the pairs struggle, the red head laughed so hard, that she wrapped her arm around her stomach. Tears hanged onto her lashes as she tries to calm down. When the teacher proclaimed Renee's win, the fawn quickly ran in the field and dumped the water onto the sticky pair. She watched the goo be washed away.

"Thanks Echo....Ow! Ow! Ow-!" It took her a moment to finally be free from the sticky goo, but she managed it and curtsied at the clapping crowd. She smiled warmly at everyone, including the ones who were sneering at her. It was like she planned to be this silly in the fight, as if it was a comedy act from a theater.

'Just like how Dad would do it when something silly happens out of nowhere.' She thought to herself, her heart feeling warm at remembering her father's antics when her brothers and her were little kids.

"Thank you! Thank you! You can find me at school in the week days." Renee humored everyone, feeling a bit embarrassed, but too happy to even be affected by it. After all...a fight is suppose to entertain the crowd and she managed it in the best way possible by making the crowd laugh at the end.

Giggling as well, she walked towards the student announcer and asked him if he could use his magic to amplify her voice. When he did, she turned to Seifer's group, trying to catch their attention.

"Hello? Right so...I need to tell you guys something and it's really important that you guys listen. Please?" Renee asked, frowning seriously despite her cheer. She has to do this...It is the right thing to do, no matter how futile it can be...and she needed to do this in front of a crowd so that they know she means it.

"I'll talk to Seifer after he wakes up too, so he'd know as well. All I ask of you guys is to please listen..."

The girls snubbed Renee, but couldn't help but listen as the crowd looked towards them. It was peer pressure. The guys meanwhile were carrying the unconscious Seifer and his things to the nurse's clinic, some chuckling while a few of the arcane archer's lady fans in the crowd were asking if he was alright and if there was something they could do to help as if he was some fallen hero.

-Renee Pendragon-

Renee cleared her voice a bit, knowing that all eyes are on her. Including her brother's. She can feel her cheeks slowly turning red.

"I'm sorry."

That shocked the crowd, not expecting that from the winner. The winged teen continued.

"I'm sorry for what happened at break few days ago...before the food fight started. I shouldn't have done that to you or to Seifer." The winged teen didn't look away from Seifer's group, her heart beating fast.

"I thought I saw my friends being tormented that day and I acted on my bias view. You don't need to forgive me, but please know that I really am sorry for my behavior." Then she curtsied humbly, before glaring at them.

"But! Since Seifer lost, I'm going to make sure that he does the right thing too. It wouldn't be fair to the ones who you and he tormented these past few days, if he didn't apologize for his behavior as well." She lightly scolded them, reminding them that she knows who is the mastermind for all the bullying.

"Now...if you will excuse me...I need to make sure that Seifer knows what he got himself into..." With that, she sauntered to the nurse's office with her head held high, as if she wasn't covered in goo and soaked of water.

Like a true Pendragon fashion...with pride.

" Nurse's clinic, Sorcerer's Academy "

Outside the nurse's clinic, a crowd of girls were waiting to hear if Seifer was alright and scowled at Renee. Some passing students patted her in the back whispering, "Good job.", and looking at her with a lot of respect. Inside, Madam Pomona had the archer up and cleaned in no time and was wondering where Renee was since she had wanted to check up on her too.

Seifer was sitting on the edge of one of the beds gargling mouth wash surrounded by three of his guy friends who were chuckling at the whole thing. There was another smaller boy in the group, but he seemed to be just someone they were bullying around to get their leader's things and was scurrying too and fro to dump the mouth wash in the drain and then get a towel, and then get Seifer's comb, hair gel, and also a mirror.

". . . a fluke is all that was." he was saying airily, venting his anger by kicking the small boy who squeaked when Madam Pomona had left. "Come the tournament I will pound that ugly insufficient slob to the ground." he added another kick and the poor boy stumbled dropping Seifer's things.

The guys guffawed and Seifer smirked, his mood getting better."Pick them up, Wheat." he drawled lazily.

-Renee at the nurse's office-

The winged teen blushed from all the looks of respect and pats on her back, feeling humbled by it. She ignored the fan club as she passed through them to get to the door. These girls are weird...

Renee came into the nurse's office, frowning in disappointment as she watched the poor boy getting kicked and teased at. She went on her knees to help pick up Seifer's things and passed them to the small boy, smiling at him. Then she stood up and sauntered to Seifer's bed, glaring seriously at the jerk.

"Oi! You shouldn't kick someone! You can seriously hurt someone like that." She scolded him before breathing in and letting it out as she sat next to his bed. Renee sat up straight as if she was in a business meeting and crossed her legs.

"Okay...Since I won, you have to listen to me. Here's my first order: don't talk until I finish speaking." Her orange eyes stayed connected to Seifer's grey eyes. "I'm sorry for what I did to you a few days ago. I get it: I was wrong for behaving the way I did and you didn't like it. I did you wrong. Fine, I deserved the bullying, but Echo, Johnny, and James did not deserve that." She continued.

"My second order is that you are to go up to them and apologize for what you and your group did to them. They were not part of our situation. It was our problem, not theirs!" Then she nodded towards to the small boy he just kicked. "You should apologize to him too. He was helping you and you treat him like dirt. That's not how a friend works, you jerk. It's wonder that you even have followers...What sort of leader abuses his people?" She criticized.

Mrs. Pomona came back in Seifer's room, surprised to see Renee sitting there and told her to go to the other bed so that she can check up on her too. The winged teen was about to leave when she remembered something and turned her head a bit. Her eyes steeled over like James' glare, pinning him and his bunch to their spots.

"Oh...My third order is that you have to do what my brothers order you to do as well. All three of them: James, Sen, and Seth. You remember the twins, right?...You can talk now." Before Seifer could respond back, Renee walked to the bed and let the motherly nurse take care of her, smiling a bit as she hears Mrs. Pomona muttering about 'why goo?' and 'you're soaked to the bone!'

She's listening to Seifer, in case he wanted to say something.

" Nurse's clinic, Sorcerer's Academy "

Seifer gritted his teeth, he didn't like the twins, nor did he like apologizing. He smiled at Renee though his cold eyes wished her nothing but ill. "As you wish." He looked over at the boy still smiling, his eyes flashing dangerously. "Forgive me, Wheat, you may go now."

The little boy looked between Renee, Seifer and his three lackeys with fearful eyes. And just shook his head. "N-no. I-I'm okay. It's just fun, it doesn't hurt at all." he seemed afraid that if he left the bullying was going to get worse later on and looked at Renee silently begging her to keep him out of this.

Seifer began fixing his hair, slicking it back with hair gel so that it was neat again. The three other boys watched Renee as though they found her goody-goody attitude amusing. They seemed to be made of the same mold as their leader: handsome, alpha male fraternity jocks, the sort you'd see at the top of the status quo in school dating the best looking girls, hosting the best parties, with the grades and family status to back them up.

When Seifer was satisfied with his looks he got up to leave, the little boy carrying his bag.

-Renee at the nurse's office-

'Another guy thing, isn't it?' She sighed, looking away, respecting Wheat's wish to not involve him. 'Or...perhaps, something even worse...' Renee watched the group leave the nurse's office before wincing at Mrs. Pomona's prodding on her chest. "Ow-!"

"Ah ha! Took an arrow or two on your chest, have you? I'm surprised that you're not panting like a dog." The motherly nurse commented, untying her top to reveal a dark bruise, and she hissed in sympathy. After some more prodding around the bruise, she grabbed a potion and gave it to Renee, telling her to drink it. The potion's bottle looked terrifying, a skeleton smiling, with the title 'Pumpkin flavored!' written across the bottom part. Is that what she thinks it is?? Oh no...

"Warning you now, it will not taste good nor will it be painless over night. Fixing bones is not an easy business-"

Renee almost spitted out the horrible medicine, her sticky wings puffed up and tried to flutter as she crouched over a bit and quickly swallowed. The winged teen made a face as she groaned from the taste, shaking her head like she wanted to shake the disgusting taste out of her mouth.

"Tell me about it! It says 'Pumpkin flavored', for crying out loud! Why does it taste horrible?" Mrs. Pomona chuckled at the teen's plight, amused that she's complaining about the taste and not about her top or her wings. "Best medicines are the ones who can affect you the most." Renee can hear the nurse's amusement in her voice and pouted for a bit.

"I'm sure you know this already, Ms. Pendragon, considering it's part of your major."

"Yes, Ma'am...doesn't mean I like the gross after taste."

"Most don't...now let's get you cleaned up before your brother sees you. Wouldn't be proper to show your chest." Renee realized her top is still loose and quickly covered herself, blushing bright red like a cherry. Mrs. Pomona helped Renee clean the goop off her wings and hair, drying her clothes and lend her another shirt to wear so she wouldn't feel uncomfortable.

After that, the nurse patted Renee's head gently, making the teen pause in surprise from tucking the shirt in. "...congratulations on your first win..." She smiled at the kind nurse, nodding a bit, muttering her thanks.

EPISODE 3: The Deathknight

- Warlock Tournament -
" Kingsbury, 4 Days later "
James awoke on the day of the tournament sleep deprived, sick with the common cold, but pleased. Yesterday, Spark, his lightning salamander, finally got bored of electrocuting him. Sure that kind of progress was something even his master wouldn't exactly call progress, but it meant that the difficult, fastidious war beast was more likely to electrocute his opponents.

He got out of bed early and left the castle before anyone else did while it was still dark out. "Hello, Frey." James greeted his ethereal stag sleepily after he summoned him. In the front yard of House 44 lay Johnny's wood and fur tepee where the ashy remains of a campfire and a foldable chair and table sat around it. He could hear his friend's light snoring from within. Carefully he stepped out of the creaky front gate and was off to have some coffee and an early breakfast in one of the cafés in Kingsbury.

He didn't want to see Renee before the tournament. It was hard enough just gathering up the resolve to use a tier three warbeast on her, and one that he had no control of at that --- it was like trying shoot an apple on her head with a bow and arrow without causing her death, and your archery skill was at an amateur's level. There was no way to know how hard Spark will hurt her, but he really, really, really didn't want his sister to go to the Storm Wall and there were professional mediwizards on standby anyway. So . . . it will be alright.

James exhaled anxiously . . . But what if the electric shock fibrillates her heart? He had considered cheating for the past few days now, but honor had kept him from dwelling on it too long. Yet now fear was winning over . . . James shook his head. He cannot lose his sister and he was willing to do whatever it takes to keep her safe, even if it means doing something as despicable as acting unfairly.

"This way, Frey." said James, pulling the reins when they reached the city center, and guided the ethereal stag towards the slums area, the nastier side of Kingsbury where all sorts of rogues and criminals roamed, and where a black market thrived.

-Renee visiting a blacksmith?-

Renee groaned when she finally popped her back and shoulders, breaking the annoying tension made from sleeping over her desk. Books and papers spread all over the wooden desk, some were victims of the baby flytraps nearby, munching and ripping the pages in shreds. There were even some sketches of a very strange archer's bow...

'Oh bloody trolls...' She watched in vain as her plants ate before gathering the rest of her surviving papers to put them away.

The white haired teen walked out of her room and went downstairs to cook breakfast. Yawning, she added a few more spices into the eggs and bacon...and in the chicken and rice soup too. Renee is aware of her older brother being sick from last night. He kept sneezing, the poor thing, and he looked a bit pale too. She hopes that he'll be okay for the tournament today...

'Oh goodness, it starts today...' Renee took a deep breathe to calm down, smiling at Calcifer as she tossed the egg shells to his mouth. Then she remembered something else and got excited, her wings fluttered. Her order should be ready today...

After the duel with Seifer four days ago, the winged teen realized that she's not much of a fighter, so she practiced more with her archery skills. She even made sure to tell the twins to keep Seifer busy and away from the archery area in school. Renee didn't even give anymore orders to the other white haired teen because she already knows the twins will be merciless with him...as a tester for their inventions. Hopefully, Sen and Seth would stop feeding James with weird things for three months...and maybe mutate Seifer instead...

"BREAKFAST IS READY, BOYS!! I'LL BE OUT FOR A BIT, SO START EATING WITHOUT ME!"

Renee yelled, so loud that even Johnny can hear her from the outside. After placing the food on the table, ready for everyone to pick at it, she grabbed a few pieces of bacon and a medium paper bag. Then she ran out of the door, jumping over the campfire that was there and into the market area...where she could meet with the blacksmith.

On the way, Renee almost bumped into a young girl that had an odd helmet. "So-sorry!" The young girl watched as she continued to run and shook her head.

"It's fine..." Her voice barely had any emotion. She walked her way to visit her guild masters of the Cool Beans guild. The blue haired girl, Minnie, was told by the twins to come by their house for an order to place, to make delivery routes in other cities, and other guild duties. She worked as a secretary of the guild.

When she arrived at House 44, Minnie could only blink at the fur tepee, table, and chair on the front yard before asking the obviously flustered sheep guy in a mono-toned voice. "Hello...Is Sen and Seth here?" She stared at him, waiting for his response patiently.

The Golden Memory

To remember something of old they cant remember, one must see something they can associate with from that event and soon see what they have forgotten. Cal and Olza have been gone from the castle for a rather long time and maybe around a whole year they have not set foot upon the place after they started there journey to reveal there past. 2 years was there original plan in seek of any evidence of who they where but with what they read in the news paper's they had no other choice but to go back to the castle, IMMEDIATELY, A dragon...some of the family are lost or yet to be found...dark creatures have taken over Paroosia...its like a nightmare crawling out of your head and leaking on to the real world...like ink...What shock most the brothers was the dragon. HOW? For so long there has been no news of them and heck even some have forgotten of there existence but ONE is back, one of those scaled creatures from the old history has come back! but why? why now after so long? many question but no time to answer them no mater how much you think. The brothers rather go home and see the ones who survive have been especially when its there duty to protect both the castle and the family, No mater the cost.

They where not far from Verona where the castle was being held, There steeds have gallop for a few days from the "silver fields", a large extension of flat grasslands well known for treasure hunters and metal workers for its abundances of old armor dug deep under the soil that fetch a good price...and metal for use. Sadly after so many years most have been dug out and sold or molted and refined for other uses. The brothers thought maybe they could find any evidence in this grave yard, and, they did, especially for Olza. They found one grasp of armor that look exactly like Olza's head but silver in color. None of the brothers could remember anything from looking at this old helm but all they know its in some way connected to them, but more so to Olza.

"How long till we arrive to the castle?"

"Not long that is for sure! Look!"

The brothers saw the sun going slowly up to the sky, dark sky evaporated away as its slowly became day and with the gift of light, Kingsbury came to there view as they came over the hill and the path now lead towards there destination. Horses stop at the top of the hill with the ghostly knights watching over such a sight. "Well look at that, you don't see this every day now do you Olza?" Cal's ghostly voice laughed as he got off the horse and placed both hands on his metal waist and looked at his brother as he just responded with a sigh and would chuckle "Yea its a good view, now stop bird watching, We are in a hurry so get on your horse! We can do this later!" Olza yelled as he took off towards Kingsbury as quick as he could, making top priority the family and the castle. The grey knight got on his horse and began his gallop seconds after Olza but he took it calmly, why was he in a hurry? they clearly read James message in the news paper, the ones left are fine and surely they would find the rest! plus school started for the kids and that meant no worries had to be thought off, but Olza will always be himself that is for sure. Cal would see the Pendragon castle near the city and he saw Olza in the distance already approaching it "Ugh he should at least wait for me, two ghost are better than one!" Cal mummers to himself as he soon as well arrived near the castle and right beside Olza.

"...Um...How do we get in again?"

"Has a few months already made your forget?"

"Well, yea it has"

Cal said as he removed his head and wonder how to get inside but Olza on the other hand would just sigh and would walk up to the front of the castle and place his feather on the door so it would open, like a key, they have not been here for long time and this was there way of "Opening" the door. The golden knight would then offer Cal to go in first as he said "Idiots first", Cal would put his head back and bow to Olza as he would very slowly walk in and let his ghostly voice echo through the living room "Hello? We are back! The two ghostly knight!" Cal said as he looked around and wonder, "Can you stop being so kitty and be a MAN?" Olza ask as Cal would shake his head as a no! he wanted to be who he wished! when will be the time Olza would let him free? surely never...But anyway Olza would close the door behind them as he would place his spear against the wall and let it lean there as he would begin searching the house for the rest. Cal on the other hand would place his blade beside his brothers spear and would take a seat immediately and sigh, finally he could rest those cranky metal knees...

"Hello? anybody here? we are back"

"Relax! its morning they are surely getting up right now, let them sleep geez..."

"Sorry i am just worried- Oh yep they are here"

Olza would reach the large dining room he would see what seems breakfast on the table...hmm...if his detective skills point the correct they are getting up. The golden brother would feel much better seeing all is well and would scratch the top of his helm as he would wonder when will James come down stairs, sadly, he was not home so he would have some one else come down, as he waited he would sit down on one of the chairs on the dining table and place the silver helm in front, inspecting it and wondering, why did it look just like him?. "See! they are fine just relax bro" Cal said as he was already being a sloth as he removed his greaves and placed them on the ground as his legless body rested on the seat and his hands behind his helm.
