Jordy is a mysterious one, filled with contradictions. She wants security and comfort yet seeks new adventure. She is very helpful to others yet sometimes can be cranky and indifferent. She has a driving, forceful personality that can be easily hidden beneath a calm, and cool exterior. She can come out of her shell and fight but can also hide in her shell of skitter away back into the depths of the soul. She's very unpredictable. There is always something more that meets the eye, for she always partially hidden behind the shell. She has a deep psyche and intuitive mind that is hidden from the world. She's also deeply sensitive and easily hurt, this might be why she has her defense shell in place, to avoids being hurt by others. She is a nurturer so she surrounds herself with people, whom after a while can offend or hurt a her without even knowing they did so, therefore J's protective shell keeps her safe from hurt. She is complex, fragile, unpredictable and temperamental and need constant support and encouragement, all stemming from her life back in California.
Jordy secretly needs to be needed. When she gets the support she need, she has a tremendous amount to offer in return. When Jordy gets offended, she tends to sulk instead of confronting the persons face to face. This needlessly prolongs the pain and suffering. She's very possessive, not just with material possessions but with people as well. Always wanting to stay in touch with old friends and anyone who has ever been close to her, because it is easier to maintain a friendship then attempt to learn to trust a new person. It is easier this way for her emotionally. If you befriend her, you will stay friends for a long time. She has unconditional love and caring more so then any other astrology sign. Most of the psychics of the world are Cancer. She has an excellent memory and is very observant and can read people very well. She can usually tell of other people's intentions are good or not. Never try to dupe her, she can see your motives. Jordana has a lot of emotional issues to deal with but once she overcomes this large hump of shyness and insecurity, there is practically nothing she can't do. History:
Jordana was born and raised in California to a loving father and mother. She was raised with tea parties with mommy and game days with her father. She maintained AB honor roll through middle school into high school, and was captain of her Key Club as well as a spelling bee finalist in Cali. She swam competitively, as her involvement in academic and extracurriculars granted her popularity where she studies to be a Biochemistry major looking for colleges. On the outside she looks fierce, but her timid yet quietly wise aura does not match her looks. Her confidence lacks but one would never know because of her elusive an drew mysterious nature. It would take a real investment to find out what Jordy is truly all about. She fell in love with pop culture growing up playing games with her father. She started to read comics and anime and get into the fictional movies and shows as well. She had the life in Cali. The friends, the status, the men. She was happy. And then she got the news that they were moving, the sorrow on their parents' faces when they knew Jordana had to leave it all behind. All because of some stupid backwater town in the coastal mountains of USA, a place called Horizon. Her father Holland had gotten a Corporate Supervision job there, their Pine resources top notch and very lucrative. Her stepmother would simply transfer to the regional hospital in the town, and Jordana was left with nothing, no choice, no say. Jordana said her goodbyes to friends, angry and bitter inside topped with a cherry of pain and sadness. Just like that, the life she knew was past news. They drive almost across country to Horizon, and upon the drab and dreary tone of the town, she knew it was the opposite of what she's used to. Little did she know, she was about to stumble into something bigger than she ever imagined in the small town. Small town, large secrets awaited. She was about to experience The Cold Pines.

While she has her moments of humor, Ace tends to be no nonsense. She has little patience for when people are being dramatic, and thinks with her head before her heart. She’s quick to call out people in her friend group, whether she thinks they’re being petty, out of line, or just not meeting her expectations. RECENT PAST
All her life, Asa has been thinking of her future.
When Millie died, Asa struggled with being confronted with death, and the idea that the future she’d been planning from day one might never come. Since Millie’s death, Asa has been acting more reckless, and not entirely herself. As someone who was heavily involved with the community, she felt it was her responsibility to speak up about the issues surrounding Millie’s situation. She’s been trying to organise workshops for those affected by the news, reaching out to professionals and adults in the community.
In school, Asa has always been attentive to her political status, and keeps a professional air about her at all times. She dresses nicely when at school, upholding a trim appearance. While there are those at school that she vocally dislikes, she keeps a circle of friends around her for support. As someone who’s technically minded, Asa’s ambition in life is to become a civil engineer, and create innovative ways to design a city. Similarly, she works at a recycled bike shop at the moment, because it plays to her strengths. After school, she helps the owner sort through volunteered parts and oversees the customers building their own creations.
Because both of their parents are figureheads in the community, Asa is both friends and allies with Sean, the sheriff's son. If something troublesome happens in the community, they set up secret meeting where Asa shares what she's heard from the community, while Sean shares what he's heard from his father.
Asa is close friends with STAR ATHLETE (to be confirmed by whoever plays this role?) and often bikes beside them when they do their training runs. The bikes she builds are often taken on long rides through the countryside, when the pressure of life gets to be too much.
DISTANT PAST
Asa’s mother was the CEO of a large conglomerate company for many of her younger years. The image she held of her mother in those days was one of an uptight woman with an uptight bun and strict iron creases in her skirt. While she was undoubtedly a strong role model, Asa’s mother was unhappy in that position. After having an epiphany, she quit her day job and dumped most of their possessions, going back to school for a masters in nonprofit businesses.
Years later, she made her mark on Horizon by working closely with the homeless and at risk community. This paid off greatly as her dedication to the community landed her a position on the city council, which eventually led to her nomination for mayor. Asa was beside her every step of the way, cheering until her throat was raw when the results were announced that her mother would be mayor.

When it comes to decision making, it's best not to choose Sean as not much in-depth thought will be put in. The boy's impulsive, liking whatever choice feels or looks right at the time. Putting too much pressure on him will cause Sean to stress out, and eventually lash out. Just ask his father about that. There are many ways to approach Sean, one-way being movie discussion. Especially his favorite, the classic horror Alien. Sean can go on for hours about the shot types, composition, film versus digital..the list can go on. He's a total film buff, hoping one day to become a director or cameraman. If you end up friends with him, then you'll be set for life. Sean cares deeply for his friends and remains loyal til the end.
Within the town of Horizon, Sean's father is the hard-working, no-nonsense sheriff. Sean has always tried to ignore this part of his father, but it never works out causing a huge strain on them. Sean's mother died when he was four years old due to a weak immune system, so there have been nights of quiet dinners. With all of this, there still managed to be an understanding between him and his father. Before Millie Wright committed suicide, the town has been quiet, and relaxed. If you were looking for something to cheer you up, then just say hello to Millie. This helped Sean a lot emotionally since he couldn't really talk to his father.
After Millie's suicide, that's when the crap hit the fan. People swarmed his home to talk to his father to see what he would do. News anchors would ask Sean what he thought of the situation. All of it was becoming too much and made Sean want to stay away from home as much as possible. Whenever he did have dinner with his father, it was pure silence. Anything would set them both off, and it would lead to brash verbal fighting. Now, Sean just rides the streets on his skateboard, or hangs with his friends to keep his mind off things.

History:
Born and raised until she turned ten in Norway, Avalia's past has largely been focused solely around water and snow. Growing up around her mother and father she saw first hand the operation of several sea vehicles. The family's many businesses in Norway steadying her father decided to move to the United States. The businesses in Norway being handled by the rest of her extended family she soon found herself in a land that she could only describe as slightly alien to the one she knew. Starting Middle school Avalia excelled from the start. The schooling system she was accustomed to had shown itself to be leagues ahead of its American counterpart. This head start only grew as she grew older. Despite finally being in classes that matched her level of education she was excelling and continuing to do well.
After a few years her family had finally fully situated itself at its coastal estate. The new ferries her father had constructed upon moving were finally completed and replaced the aging models. This new level of technology spurred her into trying to weasel her way into her father's work. Unable to get her father to budge she had to refocus herself on school. The energy she refocused found itself in the form of Video games and chess.

It was almost two years after the injury that she met a chiropractic and physical therapy team that could help her; and they did. Over time Zuri begun to stand straight, the feeling returned in her leg, and before she knew it she was running, and jumping, and working out to put strength back into her body. She did anything that put her in motion, the fear that if she stopped she might be a cripple again motivating her.

It was hard on Zuri, only just getting her body back and now watching the separation of her parents. It was agreed that Zuri would stay with her mom and see her dad on holidays, and not able to afford their old house on a nurse's salary, Zuri's mother moved them to live with her sister, a logger in Horizon. It wasn't so bad though, the highschool had an amazing sports program and Zuri just couldn't help herself, she'd distract her mind from the divorce with every sport she could get into it. That's healthy.
It wasn't long before people noticed Zuri's potential, and she tried not to let it go to her head, but she felt better about herself than she ever had before.
This is when she met Millie, the little girl with a tragic life, and after what Zuri went through, she felt sympathetic towards Millie. She didn't think Millie really wanted to play sports, but she seemed to support all the games at the school, which meant she watched Zuri play all the time.
Zuri had to meet the little celebrity, but Millie beat her to the punch. It was late in the day after a lacrosse game and Millie startled Zuri, showing up in the girl's locker room, and she had a simple question; "Can you help make me strong?" It took Zuri aback, and she didn't respond at first, but after a long bout of silence she agreed, and so they met when Zuri got out of school and they ran drills, and before she knew it, Zuri sort of had a little sister. Millie had so much pride for Zuri's athletic accomplishments, and came to the games to support her, holding a sign she made that said "Go Horizon's Star!!"
It was silly, but Zuri loved it so much, that's why Millie's death hurt her so much.

This is when she met Millie, the little girl with a tragic life, and after what Zuri went through, she felt sympathetic towards Millie. She didn't think Millie really wanted to play sports, but she seemed to support all the games at the school, which meant she watched Zuri play all the time.
Zuri had to meet the little celebrity, but Millie beat her to the punch. It was late in the day after a lacrosse game and Millie startled Zuri, showing up in the girl's locker room, and she had a simple question; "Can you help make me strong?" It took Zuri aback, and she didn't respond at first, but after a long bout of silence she agreed, and so they met when Zuri got out of school and they ran drills, and before she knew it, Zuri sort of had a little sister. Millie had so much pride for Zuri's athletic accomplishments, and came to the games to support her, holding a sign she made that said "Go Horizon's Star!!"
It was silly, but Zuri loved it so much, that's why Millie's death hurt her so much.

History: Growing up, Chloe learned that she liked to learn things about people. She asked more questions than most kids her age did, and when she finally turned thirteen she found a camera and started taking pictures. Eventually she found a way to combine her two passions into a slightly controversial hobby. After learning a lesson or two, Chloe found a way to seem less stalker-ish and more journalistic. She saw it as her personal mission to unravel the mysteries of the world. Horizon was a town rich with history, and Chloe often found herself in the library, immersed in books trying to find things about the town that she hoped no one else had.
Then the suicide came.
Part of Chloe was devastated; Millie had been her friend, just like she'd been a friend to everyone. But the other part of her conspiracist mind decided that there was a hidden truth to the matter. She knew with utmost certainty that Millie had not ended her own life, and set it upon herself to figure out what had truly happened. Armed with a camera, she set out to do just that.

Charlie's parents used to be the head co-pastors of CrossLife, a mega church that sat 10 minutes outside of Horizon. They were a picturesque famy of three and somewhat of a pillar to the community. Yes, there was the occasional rumor that the Buccanan Family was part of shady business and the church was a front. Those rumors were usually debunked before morning coffee could be made. Charlie and his family seemed like the Dream. That is, until the night Mr&Mrs. Buccanan went for a late rendezvous in their Maserati Coupe and never returned. Charlie was sent off to live with his aunt, a 33 year old artist in a neighboring town.
