The day had begun unlike many of those she had. She was on a train she had never been on before to a place she had only read of. The feeling of anxiety washed over the blonde haired girl as she sat alone in a cabin. Standing up she pulled the curtain covering the door down before taking a seat once more. She didn’t want to have to deal with much, she was still coming to terms with everything that had happened over the last several weeks. Each day bringing new feelings and thoughts on how she could have changed the events that led up to where she was now sitting.

Having left behind friends and what little family she had always known she had been shipped from Germany to Scotland, all her belongings and things having been destroyed in the fire. The realization that she had to start over had already come and passed, yet the feelings of despair and heartache had never wavered. Feeling her heart start to race, she reached a hand up, gripping the black necklace around her neck. The feeling of control once more began to wash through her at the realization that nothing was going to happen, she wasn’t going to repeat it.

Jolting back to reality at the noise of the door being brushed up against she snapped her eyes over and watched it intently. While she didn’t lock it, she wasn’t the most socially inclined individual.. In fact she was one of the first on the train for that purpose. Still, in the end she began to realize that the train while magical, was still very much full of students that will likely need a place to go. With that, she took a second to gather herself before raising the blinds to see students going past. Quickly looking away from the door she began to stand up. She opened the over head storage, taking out a suitcase before setting it down next to her. Opening it up she took out a few of the things that had survived the fire intact.

Picking up the phone, she knew that it wouldn't work with calls.. yet she didn't want to use it for that. Pouring through the phone she took out a set of earbuds before putting them in her ears and turning on music. The feeling of relief washed over her as the song picked up. Closing her eyes once more she let her mind drift away, sadly it began to go into an area she wasn't entirely ready for.

Two Weeks Earlier

"Mom, I think someone was following me." Delynn spoke up as she walked up the steps to their suburban home. The young witch having been out with her human friends. "Its probably just you being to aware, there's nothing you need to worry about." A voice called back. Narrowing her eyes Delynn picked up on the subtle differences in her mother's tone. Coming to the top of the steps she began to set her purse and things down before going over to the fridge and opening it up. "Where are you? You left the oven on." Delynn continued on as she shut off the oven, a sudden noise getting her attention. Looking around the room she realized things were out of place and strewn as if a scuffle had taken place. The realization made her heart drop into the pit of her stomach. "Im upstairs." The voice called out once more.

Following the voice she began to climb the stairs to the second floor, a sweet smell coming to her nose.. a smell she knew a little to well. Immediately she began to climb the steps faster, her hand reaching down for her wand.. which she didn't have. Hesitating at the top of the steps she finally pushed herself forward and climbed the last few steps. Coming to a stop outside of her own room she placed a hand on the doorknob. Immediately she was mentally assaulted with images of.. something. The feeling made her head scream and for a second she thought that she was going to faint. Steeling herself she once more took the door knob into her hand and began to open it.

Jolting awake at the noise of the cabin door creaking slightly Delynn immediately grabbed for her wand, which this time was located right where it should have been. Feeling her blood run cold she began to come out of her half dazed dream, lowering the wand as quickly as she raised it. Face turning incredibly red from embarrassment as well as grief she kept herself from crying just barely. Turning away from the door she couldn't let the person coming in see that she was already a wreck... the feeling began to recede as she pushed it deep down. Now at least a little mentally ready she turned back towards the person.
