[/div] Spread between subjects through body fluids like feces, saliva, blood, or urine, either through direct contact or indirectly through environmental contamination of soil, food or water. Once introduced into an area (or farm for example), the virus is contagious within human and non-human populations and can spread quickly.

• First stage:

The first stage is considered the dormant, and somewhat more 'dangerous' in terms of transmission. Unless tested or symptoms are spotted and differentiated from other illness symptoms, a 'contaminant' could be incubating for months. Symptoms include: a fever (above 100F, 38C) that lasts a week accompanied by sneezing, coughing and sweating; paranoia and night terrors; hallucinations (audio and visual); aggression/behavioural swings; random, compulsive laughing or crying; and reduced activity in frontal lobe (lowered inhibitions, no filter).

• Second Stage:

The second stage comes about after some exposure to another illness or parasite. Those with already suppressed immune systems or like diseases are more susceptible to going second stage much faster than normal. Even the smallest illness can trigger the second stage-- even the common cold. Symptoms include: sores and/or flesh-eating symptoms (skin peeling, pus); reduced mass in brain (virus latching onto type of illness affects the strength of the Iratusvirus. Parasite will eat brain matter, everything else just deteriorates brain matter); massive lesions form in basal ganglia, bilateral limbic system and anterior frontal lobe; intense psychosis leading to cannibalism; and possible death-- with a subsequent resurrection. Resurrection cause is unknown, but may be due to the virus somehow keeping the more primal and ancient parts of the brain working harder than the other parts.

[/div] JANUARY 2020 - The disease known as Iratusvirus is discovered in a chimpanzee colony in Gombe National Park. Behaviour is cited as unnatural, the female primates appear to have no maternal instinct and kill their young. The colony turns on each other and almost wipes themselves out. Rangers are called to investigate and sedate. The subjects are brought to the local onsite vet who calls on the CDC after identifying the virus as no known disease.

FEBRUARY 2020 - More outbreaks of the virus are found in Southern Senegal, the National Republic of Congo, and Western Tanazia. Few isolated and unharmed colonies remain, it makes national news and chimpanzees are registered as being 'under threat'. The research continues.

MARCH 2020 - Volunteers aid the veterinary practices out in the field. Autopsies are done on the primate corpses. The virus crosses the zoological boundary unbeknownst to specialists, a patient zero is introduced to a wider human populous. At first, the disease is dormant in the homo sapien host.

APRIL 2020 - There is an alarming rise in psychosis and violence within Africa. Soon, similar cases start popping up over the globe. A docking ship on the coast of North Carolina carries the virus to the US.

MAY 2020 - The cause of the sudden inexplicable change in cases of hospitalised patients and homicide are linked to Iratusvirus and identified. The virus seems to latch onto previous illnesses or suppressed immune systems stronger than healthy bodies, tripling the speed of the symptoms. The CDC is alerted and begins running programs, research labs are funded by the United Nations.

JUNE 2020 - The Iratus Campaign begins, alerting citizens to its presence in public service announcements. Acts of domestic violence increase among reports of murder, mimicking the steadily worsening situation in Africa. Minor riots take hold, media goes with the political angle and blames the government. The afflicted refuse to eat and must be given nutrients through a gastric tube. Patients show signs of brain damage and loss of cognitive ability. Motor skills are unbalanced.

JULY 2020 - The US government begins a curfew for the cities, crisis centers are set up and all continues business as usual.

AUGUST 2020 - Martial law is implemented in the wake of governments on the verge of collapse. Quarantines are set up by the CDC but are badly prepared.

SEPTEMBER 2020 - US Gov falls into radio silence. The military is the last remaining official body of the USA.

OCTOBER 2020 [CURRENT MONTH] - Real riots begin (Bloody Tuesday), the group meets. Atlanta quarantine falls within the first two weeks that emergency protocol is introduced. Those left alive escape, and the others are systematically wiped out by the remaining military force. “This is not the end, but only the beginning.”
