wolfy boi 2.jpg
Full Name: Derwin Benjamin Lancaster

Description: Derwin is a man in his late 60s with gentle brown eyes and a bright smile hidden behind an almost completely grey beard. His weathered skin hides faint, mysterious scars (Some are just from kitchen accidents- he's a bit clumsy) along with faded tattoos that are hardly legible anymore.

Age: 67 y/o

Pronouns: He/ Him

Race/Species: Werewolf

Position Applying For: Cook

Relevant Experience: Derwin can still recall the moment he was turned, although it is quite a painful memory that he has never discussed with anyone. When he was 6 his father was killed in a hunting accident, and after he had worked through his grief with a therapist for many years, his mother began teaching him household chores in order to help her when his little brother came into the world. His fondest memory was cooking and baking with his mom, especially during the fall when they would make pumpkin pie.
He became the man of the house at a very early age and learned responsibility very quickly. When he was 16 he got a job at a local restaurant as a waiter. Only a year later did he receive his curse. Derwin struggled with this and ended up losing his job because he couldn't keep up with his new condition along with keeping his normal life. He was in and out of jobs for a long time and when he was 30 he finally moved out of his mother's house and into his own. He struggled with paying bills and eventually ended up deciding to sell it only 3 years later. He moved back in with his mother, figuring it was impossible to live a normal life as a werewolf. He saw the add about a new cook position at Silver Sun Manor only a few days ago and decided to apply.

Reason for Applying: Hoping to learn a thing or two about living in society as well as keeping a roof over his head and getting a steady job.

Polterguist girly.jpg
Full Name: Anastasia Gabriell Davis

Description: Anastasia is a ghostly being with nearly transparent skin and white hair to match with her pupil-lacking eyes. She has extremely delicate features and only stands at 5'1", looking more like a child than a 21 y/o. She is always dressed in the outfit she died in (See below!).

Preferred Name: Ana

Age: 21 y/o (135 years. Died in 1885)

Pronouns: She/ Her

Supernatural Classification: Poltergeist

Event Justifying Application: Ana was tragically killed on June 10, 1885 by home invaders. Her husband had been away at work, and thankfully she had no children. Because she was taken so quickly, Ana had so many intense emotions that she had refused to move on. Instead she became a poltergeist- a ghost in her own home. For years she stayed and tormented each new tenant that came to live there until everyone refused to buy it. Still Ana stayed, watching over the few personal belongings that had been missed by each tenant who had moved out. Because Ana came back as a poltergeist she was able to move things around, so the item she was attached to (A picture of her and her husband's wedding day) didn't keep her in the house.
Ana learned how to wander the streets and into other's homes, sometimes terrifying them just for the fun of it. Only when she meandered into a certain neighboring house did she see a newspaper that had been carelessly tossed onto a coffee table did she see the ad for Silver Sun Manor. Wanting desperately to move on and learn how to live a normal life, she applied on a whim.

Full Name: Pollyanna Ziegler, The Bog Witch.

Preferred Name: Polly

Age: 284 years old

Picture/Description:

8d1267b.png

Polly's skin has become sallow and her eyes a pupilless, irisless lambent yellow/green as a result of the (frog based) immortality potion she brews for herself every few years.

She found her hat in a novelty store and bought it to make her seem more 'normal'. She knows now it doesn't work, but she's grown attached.

Pronouns: She/Her

Supernatural Classification: Witch

Event Justifying Application:

Pollyanna loves being a witch. Born a peasant girl in what is now rural Germany, back in 1736, it was really the only way to get any power at all. But you turn an annoying prince into a frog ONE time (ok, fine, it was more than once), and the story makes it to the wrong pair of book writing brothers, and suddenly you become the bad guy of every other fairy story for the next three hundred years.

Polly tried to stay out of the way after that, keep to her swamp, play with her frogs, curse her enemies from a distance. But then the formation of Germany happened, and all of those wars, it was hard for a perfectly innocent witch to stop transmogrifying her enemies. Especially with all those German Soldiers's with the stupid red patches knocking on her door asking her to impart upon their leader arcane secrets to help Germany win the war.

What could she say? She had a temper, and people bothering her when she didn't want to be bothered set that temper right off.

They looked better as frogs, anyway.

Eventually she realized she had no choice but to move out of her home, taking only her mixing cauldron, her broom and her beloved Familiar Jeremiah and leave for America, where there were wide tracts of still undeveloped land she could hide in.

She tried. She really did, but in America nobody, even other witches, appreciated her. She was too 'old school' for them with her bubbling cauldrons, broomsticks, familiars, and cruel, petty curses.

For a long time she got away with being 'that crazy lady in the swamp', deep in the Louisiana Bayou. Only a few people were turned into frogs, and she even included easier escape clauses in her spells. It was a lot easier to get someone to kiss you than to find a princesses pillow to sleep on during a full moon, even if you were a frog. North America as a continent had a distinct lack of princesses, and Polly wasn't totally unfair.

But in this day of modern technology and information, people going missing (turned to frogs) is something that other people notice. The cops couldn't prove that Polly dissapeared all of those people, even if many of their possessions were found in her cabin. They never found the bodies, anyway. There weren't any to find.

But it was when they tried to put her in a psychiatric ward for being a mad frog obsessed woman living on her own (and she was forced to turn them into frogs, too) that she realized she needed help keeping her temper in check and acclimating to this new world of people who would notice if she kept transmogrifying annoying trespassers. At least she still has Jeremiah for company.

DQ_LBIwVQAAXBOU.png
Full Name: Kazimir Rozhnov
Preferred Name: Kaz, Kazik
Age: 337

Picture/Description: Kazimir is a tall, broad man of muscular stature and military posture. Standing over 6’4” tall, by standards of his time, he understands he is still quite the anomaly to this day. Long, black hair of rich texture remains precisely uncut, although frames his high cheekbones and pale features well. A strong nose centres his face with the intelligence of a scholar, highlighting the pop of crimson that dominates his irises.

Pronouns: He/Him
Supernatural Classification: Vampire

Event Justifying Application:
Born on the eve of a cold Siberian winter in 1683, Kazimir was a healthy child of strong complexion. The son of a Cossack would be born a free man of a wandering peoples, and so he was. Their way of life had been fulfilling and hard, never remaining in the same place and returning often to a winter home - the partial nomadic lifestyle that Kazimir knew would soon become endangered in his later years. Entrusted and paid to systematically explore the Siberian wilds by the Tsar, mapping the extent of their reach, at the age of 28 he joined Vladimir Atlatsov and his crew on the Kamchatka peninsula.

However, there are some communities deep in the snow that are best left alone. Warned by indigenous locals, they would march into the beast's den; something which would drive Atlatsov mad. The creatures they met that day were feral, maddened and poisoned with isolation and hunger, leaving a handful of men unscathed. Kazimir was one among the dead who were unlucky enough to suffer their disease. Few of the men who awoke would let themselves turn to ash by sunlight and yet, Kazimir was afraid. He would never have admitted it, but in that arctic tundra, mankind was not the predator.

Initially, he had resisted the craving, but hunger drove him to cannibalise the remains of the dead for strength. From there he had taken hunters, children who wandered too far into the snow, and occasionally, he wandered near enough to civilisation to slowly reintegrate himself from a feral state. For many years he would call himself rehabilitated, a good Orthodox Christian even if he had to sit outside the church window and feel the slight burn of every holy rite. You worked with what you had.

Nevertheless, the Communist spread and numerous cities being constructed forced Kazimir to relocate somewhere safer. Remaining mostly isolated for centuries caused a significant language barrier and eventually, during his travels outside of Russia, he was taught English by a missionary in Mongolia after traversing down from the Russian border. Although, due to never acclimatising to the modernising world and preferring his self-sustained Cossack way of life, he has vanished and reappeared at various points in history with nothing good to say.

During the second world war, he made his way to America to avoid German troops traipsing over his land and crossed into Alaska. Only in the past seventy years have fellow Vampires and authorities of American origin had an issue with his medieval morals and penchant for violence. For the first time in three hundred years, Kazimir is at last learning to co-exist with the human race. He has also been tasked with understanding the fundamentals of citizenship.

Full Name: Aurora Violet Howell
Preferred Name: Vy
Age: 160 years old
Pronouns: She/Her
Supernatural Classification: Interdimensional Spectral Walker

Event Justifying Application: Vy's species is a complicated name for someone who is stuck between life and death, a dimension that exists apart from linear time. She was born and raised in the 1840s during the Victorian Era with a full family and due to great tragedy in which she cannot fully remember, Vy has been trapped in a sort of limbo. But unlike other ghosts and phantoms, Vy has retained some of her human identity and is able to be, for the most part, human. She is half dead and half alive; a ghost who still harbors a physical body but with the abilities to see and travel beyond.
Recently, while Vy has been managing her confusing abilities for many decades, she has had a relapse. It seems as though her memories are beginning to come back to her and the most traumatic ones surfacing first. During these episodes she cannot fathom what is memory and what is reality, causing her physical body to blink out of the current dimension for split moments like ash and reappear as if being tugged between now and a century before. To top off these horrible fugue states, there have been reports that Vy has also been aggressive. Lashing out and using her blinking abilities to make people disappear - their screams heard for yards away as they're tugged into a black hole abyss. When Vy snaps out of these moments, she doesn't recall them. She now wears anchoring bracelets to keep her grounded in the current dimension but she fears that soon they'll stop working and she'll be tugged back into the endless loop of lost memories.
Vy has sent in her application to the Silver Sun Manor; if anyone can help her stop the episodes then it would be none other than Doctor Phantom.

Full Name: Elijah McCormick
Preferred Name: Eli
Age: 112
Pronouns: He/Him
Supernatural Classification: Fey

Event Justifying Application: Eli is young faery royalty from a tribe of summer fey. He is due to take over his father's position, a man known for his great wealth and plentiful splendors. He shares with most everyone is very charitable - Eli is the opposite. He thrives to be a cutthroat and merciless, destroying diplomatic relations he feels should've been absolved long ago. His aggressive nature and headstrong distrust of the general population is what drove his father, Aerongas, to send in an application in hopes that Doctor Phantom can shape him into a more caring individual. While the fey work in separate affairs to humans, preferring to leave the mundane creatures alone, Eli has been dragging them in. He's been mentally abusing and toying with them, sometimes traumatizing them with otherworldly truths that have been long kept secret from them. Eli threatens the fey's existence by continually disregarding the laws that have been put in place to protect humans. If Silver Sun Manor does not work for Eli he will not ascend the throne to his rightful place. Eli can be a handful to manage, his powers emanating from the strength of the seasons, but he is easily manageable with the cold and is thus recommended to use ice pellets to subdue him if need be.

Full Name:
Liron "Gully" Yolotli

Preferred Name:
Gully

Age:
777

Pronouns:
They/it

Description:

(I might update this with some drawings, just got busy)

Gully usually takes the form of a pitch-black humanoid figure and stands in at almost 8 feet tall. It is broadly built and appears far more muscular than a normal human. Gully lacks facial features by default. Large, leathery wings wrap around their body like a cloak. These wings are riddled with holes and rips. Short spikes resembling thorns cover most of its skin.

Gully has the ability to create a multitude of facial features all across its body, including but not limited to eyes, mouths, and noses. Even whole faces can appear on their body. These are typically not permanent and recede over time. Their skin is like a chameleon in the sense that they're able to control what colors their body gives off. They can lose control of this usually through pain, intense emotion, or simply just from daydreaming, causing the colors to fluctuate randomly on its body like a rainbow.

With a limited ability to shapeshift, Gully can take a new form for a short period of time, usually lasting for a number of hours before it tires out. These forms are random most of the time, but Gully has been seen taking a liking to three specific forms: a beautiful woman it calls Aparna, an older sea fairing fellow named Reuven, and a young child by the name of Raine. It uses these forms as a sort of split personalities of itself. It doesn't use these forms for long.

Supernatural Classification:
Demon

Event Justifying Application:
Gully was born hundreds of years ago in the event of a brutal ritual way back in the year 1243. It was performed by an ancient cult who sought to bring the destruction of the world in the belief that they thought it would appease the Devil himself. They wished for help from a demon, which was why many people and animals were slaughtered just to bring Gully into existence. Unfortunately for the cult, it was all in vain. Though Gully was willing to pull out some of the horrific deeds, the demon wished for free will and eventually fled. Ultimately, the cult tore itself apart, leaving only a number of groups still around today.

For many hundreds of years later, Gully traveled across the world committing sins ranging from petty theft to massacres of small towns. Over the course centuries, however, it became bored. At this point in around the early 19th century, it was beginning to become more difficult to pull off these crimes without causing alarm. That, and Gully had killed for so long it began to question what it's true purpose was. After all, it left the cult in search of independence. Why did they feel like it was an obligation to kill? Was it in their nature to? Was it thanks to the cult?

It has always taken human forms to trick mortals, but now it wanted to see if it could infiltrate a human's life. What was it like to live as a human? What started as a simple question sparked into a whole, deep relationship with a human named Aparna. Taking a human form to speak to her, Gully accompanied her for the rest of her life. The relationship was so important to Gully, in fact, that it wished it was able to keep its temporary human form forever. Gully seemed to find a new purpose, and it was to live peacefully with her. Sadly, Aparna's death came far too early when a man, jealous of Gully and Aparna, killed the woman in cold blood.

This event finally taught Gully about the terrible consequences of its previous murderous tendencies. These sins were wrong, and it was a shame that it had to come to this until Gully fully realized. The last person Gully ever killed was Aparna's murderer, and it has sworn off taking a life since then. Or any sort of wrongdoing, for that matter. The event also left Gully emotionally scarred. To this day, it still mourns the death of Amarna, as well as many of its past companions, through these sort of split personalities Gully would often shift to.

Following that incident, Gully sought to reenact what they felt with Aparna. They made several mortal friends throughout its years, but Gully was never able to know them on a personal level, thanks to its limited shape-shifting. Today, most of their friends are either dead or near it. After so long being in the shadows, Gully longs to find a more permanent solution to integrate into human life. It wants to forget its long, horrific past and move on. But with its nearly endless list of sins under its name, Gully the Demon is slowly losing its mind...

Dr. Gwyneth Phantom
Head Psychologist & Head of Operations

tumblr_phko6nxdxU1wa5ehno1_1280.png

Pronouns: She/Her
Age: 503 (but doesn't look a day over 40)

Species: Witch

Relevant Experience:

Doctor Phantom is a pioneer in the field of hellspawn rehabilitation. She was raised in a coven that provided medical care, gardening, and clothing/jewelry to her small village in southern France and, in exchange, they were accepted peacefully. Phantom always saw the potential for the magical and the mundane to co-exist, but she also saw how quickly mortals were outpacing her kind with advanced technology and expansive civilization. She has dedicated much of her life to the study of human society and teaching the supernatural how to adapt without relinquishing who they are. She has received extensive education from human universities, but has also been taught much by supernatural communities and individuals all over the world. With the blessing and funding of her family, Phantom founded Silver Sun Manor at the turn of the Industrial Revolution, realizing that the coming shift in technology and society would leave many of her kind behind forever. She has hosted programs at the manor off and on since the 1790s, and has recently returned from a research trip in Mongolia to oversee the successful rehabilitation of another cohort of mystical residents.

Percy Anise Phantom
Teacher of Mundane Studies
tumblr_pr4sx2Ihgv1tq2716o1_640.png
Age: 352

Pronouns: They/Them

Race/Species: Wizard

Relevant Experience:

Percy met Gwyneth Phantom at a conference on Mundane Culture and Magical Studies in Argentina in 1900 and was utterly awestruck. Percy spent most of their life in the remote rainforest of Brazil with their head in the stars, learning to draw the power of the cosmos as the source of their magical capabilities. As such, they always felt incredibly divorced from human society. How could man understand a wizard's deep connection with the celestial sky? But when Doctor Phantom lectured about astrology and NASA Percy realized that they had been the one inventing divisions and that perhaps humans could teach them about the cosmos from an entirely new perspective. Percy needed to know more and eagerly approached Doctor Phantom after her lecture to invite her to dinner and a conversation. Such was the start of a romance to last hundreds of years. The two were wed in 1907. Percy began to accompany Doctor Phantom all over the world, learning about the intersections between mortal and magical existence and where they could thrive. With Gwyneth's encouragement, they even helped found the Brazilian Space Agency in 1994. They have helped run the programming at Silver Sun since the 1920s and have taught the mundane studies courses since the 1930s.

Kieran O'Dae & Gracious Smith
Support Staff

tumblr_oz0vmn1lP41wvrsmqo4_1280.jpg
Kieran (Left), Gracious (Right)

Pronouns: He/Him

Age: They've quite lost track.

Race/Species: Undead (Zombie & Ghoul)

Relevant Experience:

Gracious didn't notice when he died. He had spent his life in the family business as a gravedigger, and sometime along the way had received the favor of the spirits who haunted the cemetery. He only realized he died when he started seeing them. Gracious really just shrugged off the whole affair and kept going about business as usual. He liked what he did, and now he had all the company he needed. Or so he thought.

Kieran never asked to come back from the dead, but when he woke up in a coffin and started thumping around he sure was glad when it was Gracious who opened the casket. He couldn't believe how unphased his rescuer was at uncovering a zombie until he realized they shared in their undeath. The two became fast friends and ran the graveyard together for a time until they were given notice that the city was selling the land to turn into a parking lot for a strip mall. Gracious, who always appeared so calm, became malevolent at the news and terrorized the city for a week. Kieran, who had little free will and ample loyalty, felt compelled to aid his friend.

It wasn't until Doctor Phantom arrived in town and helped de-escalate the situation that the two realized undeath had unlocked a terrifying new potential for violence and loss of control within them. They were scared and with nowhere to turn, so they figured they might as well follow the pretty lady who appeared to understand them. Doctor Phantom, who had been in need of help with her newly established manor, gladly accepted their company and the two have served as support staff at the manor ever since.

Agnes Csilla
590x900_11554_Forged_in_Fire_2d_illustration_fantasy_dragon_girl_woman_warrior_picture_image_d...jpg
Age: 4,000
Pronouns: She/Her
Supernatural Classification: SΓ‘rkΓ‘ny (Ancient Hungarian Dragon)

Event Justifying Application:
Agnes is an ancient being who has been at war with humanity throughout the ages. Once a fearsome seven-headed beast who spent thousands of years terrorizing Hungarian villages and ancient kingdoms Agnes has found herself forgotten by her eternal foe. Over time, human warriors had taken from her power by cutting off her snarling heads until she was left only with one. As the times changed it became more and more difficult to steal gems and gold as currency turned to paper and plastic. She used to take so much joy in capturing princesses and beautiful maidens to play with and lure the strongest warriors to her den for epic battles, but modern women and warriors had become soft and stupid and had relinquished much of their magical ability over the ages. Over the last thousand years Agnes found it more and more difficult to manifest her magnificent draconic form and instead thought she might imitate the form a striking human female with a true warrior spirit. She began to lead the ranks of bandits and higwaymen, doing all she could to continue reigning terror on human society while also trying to inspire mortals back into their ways of grit and bloodshed. But alas, in the last hundred years she has given up entirely. There is no more joy in tormenting mortals and her power has waned too greatly for her to make a roaring comeback. Now, she seeks out a place at Silver Sun to learn the true extent of how the world has changed and if there may be any place for her among the race she has detested for so long.
