Greetings everybody!

I decided to just dive into the roleplaying. Hereby a plot that I made some time ago but never really got to practice.
Most things are still in my head (c.q. the work out) but I think the letter (see tab ‘Plot’)
gives the vibes that are necessary to awaken any interest for participation.
Anybody willing to help is always welcome.

  Disclaimer

  This will be a RP with elements of: Horror, Blood, Killing, Character Death, Angst, Betrayal, and in some extent possibly, Gore (and probably bad humor). If you’re not into these kind of things or aren’t comfortable with them I suggest you don’t participate. The extend of the mentioned can not be guaranteed by me as can I not guarantee that no other triggering, offending, uncomfortable and other unpleasant elements will take place in this role-play. For sure I can guarantee that no erotic and other (18+) elements will pass. Romance, be this heterosexual, interspecie, homosexual, etc., will be allowed within certain limits (basically no sexual content).
  
  On another note: you don’t have to be all fancy with the coding and stuff for this role-play so don’t be afraid to join. From participants I always ask respect for the co-roleplayers meaning that if somebody writes a super long reply and you want to role-play with this person - please try to match the length of your reply. I’m fine with any lengths but not everybody is the same. Otherwise this role-play is open for everyone.
  

  
  

  Battle Royale

  Disclaimer in advance: without approval nobody will kill a character, it isn’t a must for this role-play, unless it is a NPC.
  
  

  Battle royal (plural battles royal, also royale) traditionally refers to a fight involving many combatants that is fought until only one fighter remains standing. In recent times, the term has been used in a more general sense to refer to any fight involving large numbers of people who are not organized into factions. Within combat sports, the term has a specific meaning, depending on the sports being discussed. Wikipedia

  The role-play will be something like a battle royale mixed with a survival in the aspect that, depending on your choice of position, your character will want to kill or your character will be the potential victim of the killing. On the other hand there will also be people trying to help or safe your character. This will all depend on what alignment, position and most importantly, personality you pick for your character(s).

  
  

  Background

  Soon there will be a tab with the more precise and extended information about the setting of the role-play but for now a short introduction for the general idea:
  The four realms are actually four planets located next to each other. Depending on certain factors (they basically need a visa and a plane ticket c.q. portal ticket) the different species can visit any planet they want.
  The role-play will be a mix between medieval and modern.

  A letter to High Justice Genevia

  
  ♔ Respectable High Justice,
  
  
  ♕ The Great King has died and as you know a successor has to be chosen to control the human dimension. There are numerous persons related by blood in the line of succession to the throne but rumours have said that none of them are deemed worthy while the first and second in line have mysteriously disappeared. The new King or Queen is considered to have acceeded to the throne upon the taking of the oath as required by the constitution of the Maker. Only by taking this oath can the new ruler gain the power necessary to rule over the human dimension and keep the order of the four worlds in balance. Without the ruler the dimension will slowly start to corrupt.
  
  ♚ So far every time a to-be ruler tries to take the oath he or she dies in the most horrid of ways during the ceremony. They either mysteriously catch on fire or bleed out. The few that know are shocked by these turn of events. Ten heirs to the throne have already died during the ceremony and still there is no new ruler to control the human dimension.
  
  ♛ Nobody in the circle of trusted knows what to do but time is ticking. Soon the corruption will start. It is only wise to assume that the other worlds have already caught wind of the disbalance. Most believe that one - if not all - of them is responsible. Only time can tell what they will do - will they destroy the human world or yet again try to claim it for themselves? - all I know is that they’re aiming to disturb the balance and gain access to Purgatory.
  
  Whatever may be, the Court has issued an order to find and if needed capture all people that could be potential heirs to the High throne. You as my most trusted person I can tell that I have caught wind of traitors amongst our mids. They will turn the search into a mass slaughtering to eliminate any possibility of ascension. Don’t trust anyone...

  Corruption

  What is corruption? The question often asked to the scholars. Sadly, even they can’t properly explain what it is. It isn’t a word used to describe the state of government or officials. No, it runs deeper than that.
  It laps itself into the core of the planet. It is death, decay, madness and at the same time it is nothing. For humans, it is like cancer, the disruption in the body, the disintegration of cells. But even then it is more than that, because it isn’t a sickness per se. It is a state of disbalance. A disbalance of the world we live in. We can corrupt water, we can poison it. We can corrupt the mind, we mould it. But corruption itself can do way more than that. It grows without balance - and the more it grows, the more it claims and takes for itself - the harder it is to fix.

  General Character Info

  
  The Human realm
  

  • Regular Humans: they have been given no special powers and can’t use or practice magic but nobody ever said they couldn’t have a chivalrous heart or an unyielding soul.
  • Enhanced Humans: humans that have been chosen or have been born with special powers. These special powers aren’t necessary anything great, usually they are simple enhanced abilities such as better eyesight, hearing, or in the lucky cases, strength.
  • Great Knights: the knights are usually handpicked by the Great King or Queen, meaning that every monarch picks their own knight(s). The number of knights vary from 2 to 6. The power(s) that the knights have depend on different factors, usually the greatest factor is the monarch. A destructive monarch will usually invoke destructive powers. Once the monarch has died the power could: stay, eb away or disappear all together. What causes the difference is unknown but rumours say that the more loyal the knight the sooner he/she dies afterwards. [0/4]
  • Regular Knights: Usually enhanced humans but they don’t have the powers that the Great Knights have.
  • Mages: humans that have the ability to use and thus practice magic.
  • The High Court: the most important and powerful people represented in one organisation.
  • The High King or Queen: the one to control and keep the human dimension in balance with the other four worlds. Usually has a short lifespan (different reasons). [Currently NP]
  • The Heirs: as the name says, they are the heirs or successors to the High Throne. Usually blood relatives of the king or queen because of political reasons but there are other humans who can be a Heir. Heirs can be recognised by their blood as it is pitch black when spilled. [2/4]

  • Mermaids: regular mermaids.
  • Sirens: mermaids that have the ability to change their tail to feet, their appearance and gender.[0/2]

  Unidentified ; Purgatory
  

  • Galaxies: guardians of the balance, said to be the servants of the Maker. Nobody knows other than that. [NP; until further notice]
  • The Maker: unknown, unidentified. [NP]

  • The playable characters can be anything of the things listed above except those marked with NP or limited with numbers through [x/x]. [0/2] for example means that only 2 characters can be made for this categorie. First-come-first-serve basis for the numbered positions but during the role-play the amount allowed could be changed.
  • If a categorie is not numbered that means that it is unlimited.
  • I personally suggest picking lower categories as it is obvious that higher categories will find it harder to engage in roleplaying all the time (or you can create two characters).
  • For specific positions that aren’t listed above (prince, princess and things like that) please first PM me.

  So you have chosen to travel to destination Earth?
  Great choice! This brochure will help you prepare for your journey. Earth is a beautiful planet that has everything to offer that your heart may wish for! Unlike most other planets, Earth has a stable atmosphere, a stable climate, freshwater sources, saltwater sources and fresh (non-poisonous for most) air. It also has mountains and volcanos. Earth has light for around 12 hours a day! The other 12 hours are in darkness in which the population usually sleeps.
  The population - humans - are (mostly) friendly. We do recommend not to dwell to deep into their affairs ...​

  Current Affairs

  Earth is currently being divided by members of the High Court.
  After the Great King has died a fraction of the Court, together with certain knights, has decided to seize the power, murdering and assassinating anyone standing in the way of their great plan, including their own members. They’re power hungry but as none of them have the necessary quality of being a Heir ... none of them will ever truly rule Earth.
  Of course this all comes from the idea of Paradiso. Paradiso does not have a monarch and is ruled by the Council of Angels. The fools think they can establish the same system for Earth. They don’t realise that they are getting fooled. But by whom?
  But, on the other hand, they are not primarily responsible for the failure of the ritual. Something else is causing this. What or who could it be?

  Greetings Traveler! Thank you for traveling with Hel-line!
  So you have chosen to travel to destination Inferno?
  Questionable judgement ... unless you’re really resistant to heat and air poisoning. This brochure will try to help you prepare for your journey ... but don’t say we didn’t warn you.
  Inferno is a planet that is basically one big volcano. The air is poisonous for most creatures so please prepare the necessary equipment (gas masks are a must for humans and merfolk!). Inferno is very unstable and the temperature is always unbearably hot in most places. Make sure you don’t step in molten rock! Inferno has only 2 hours of light a day, the rest is darkness. But worry not, the lava will more than make up for the lack of light.
  The population - demons - are (mostly) friendly, albeit they can be very hot-headed and loud. We do recommend not to piss them off, they are the strongest species in our galaxy (literally). We will not take liability for any crushed bones.​

  Planet and People

  Inferno is peaceful. Demons are honest folk and usually don’t want to dwell in the affairs of the other planets.
  They are the strongest of the species present in the galaxy. No human could every match up to a demon’s strength. The lifespan of a demon is also way longer than that of a human. They usually reach the age of 500 but there are also way older demons.
  The power of demons is usually fire -, vitality- or strength based.

  Then be welcomed into the floating vallies of pure beauty.
  Paradiso is a planet with gravitational anomalies. This is the reason why it is covered by floating islands! If you’re not used to unstable gravity and heights then maybe this isn’t the planet for you.
  Paradiso has 22 hours of light a day. Sleep is for the weak on this planet.
  The population - Nephilim - are (mostly) friendly, albeit they can be very distant. ​

  Planet and People

  Paradiso is peaceful. The population consists out of winged folk for 75%. These winged folk remind the humans of the birds living on Earth because of their differently shaped and coloured wings and hair.
  The other 25% are the Nephilim, sometimes also called Angels. Only the Nephilim have powers. The power of Nephilim is usually air-, gravity-, light- or heal based.
  The lifespan of a Nephilim is longer than that of a human. They usually reach the age of 200 but there are also way older Nephilim like the Arch Angels.

  So you have chosen to travel to destination Aqueanus? You picked the best holiday location ... just don’t get eaten!
  Aqueanus is a planet that consists out of water for 99% of its surface. Be sure to pack your scuba diving gear and a lot of air if you want to go exploring! But don’t go far ... who knows what lives at the bottom of the sea.
  The population - merfolk - are not really friendly, they have a lot of teeth and a big appetite. They also love playing pranks ... if drowning somebody could be seen as a prank. Also they are very curious.​

  Planet and People

  Aqueanus is in a state of civil war and will most likely always be. Merfolk are very predatory and can be vicious and ferocious beasts. No wonder they have issues with sharing their territories with Sirens. The merfolk population is ruled by the females since only a 3% of the population is male. The power of the merfolk is usually water-, sound- or instinct based. Sirens have the ability to change their appearance and gender.
  The lifespan of merfolk is a bit longer than that of a human but unlike humans they don’t age at all after a certain point. They usually reach the age of 120.

  This information is not known but Purgatorio is empty. It is the perfect example of balance.
  Time doesn’t flow, there is no light or darkness and it consists out of icy planes of glass. It is a place of power and holds many secrets and doorways that nobody should have access to. If somebody unworthy were to gain access to this place it would be catastrophic. Luckily we have our guardians ... whose actions are governed by strict rules and regulations.
  Nothing lives on Purgatorio except one Galaxy, the other Galaxies prefer not to come back to their home for too long. They mostly can’t stand each other. Furthermore, each Galaxy has the duty to monitor its realm without interfering. It is strictly forbidden for Galaxies to interfere with their realm but their duty is to known about everything and to report back to the Oracle. They can interact with the population and reside on the planet but they are forbidden from using their powers in the realms to the frustration of some of them ... Thankfully they learned how to be creative without using their powers.
  
  Their powers can only be used if the Oracle says so. The past shows that it is wise to listen to the Oracle.
  
  There are 5 Galaxies, they have no gender per-se and in essence are an alien species that possess great power (GM) and can change their appearance.

Yes, you can! Just remember that the four realms are in ‘peace’ meaning that demons aren’t necessary (the) ‘evil’ in this universe.(for now ...)

Sure, sounds like a promising idea. Sadly, only full humans can be Heirs because of genetics. But your human could still work and reside in the demon realm.

I was actually looking for someone to do a 'tag team' with. Any type of dynamic works but bonus points if we manage to shove some comedy, romance, or both in there.
