THE SUSPECTS
AND THEY ABUSED US
- " Oh, boy . . ."
"The Detective? You wanna know about yourself? Alright, whatever. You got yourself into this hellhole of a case when you decided to pick a fight with that prick of a rival of yours. You said, as I quote 'I bet I'll solve any case you throw at me no matter how impossible it is'. Yeah, you've really done yourself in this time, newbie. You're lucky you've got me as a mentor."
" I screwed up big time . "
" I said to him, I said you pop that gum one more time, and he did . . .
So I took the shotgun off the wall and I fired two warnings shots . . . "
"Suspect number 1. The suspect is a 28-year old female previously convicted of second-degree murder, shot her boyfriend twice in the head. Claims 'he deserved it' after she warned him not to pop his gum again. She used to be a 24/7 office worker from the looks of it. Maybe the stress got to her, huh. The suspect was last seen buying cigarettes at a local convenience store a block away from the victim's house, approximately seven minutes before the victim's time of death. This suspect was convicted after a cap of lipstick with her DNA was found on the crime scene, and it was later revealed that they used to be coworkers. What are your thoughts, Detective?"
" . . . Into his head . "- " . . . He told me he was single . Single my *** . He had six wives . One of those Mormons, you know ? . . .
So that night, when he came home from work, I fixed him his drink as usual . . . "
"Suspect number 2. Female, 32 years of age, convicted of first-degree murder after killing her husband by poisoning his food after finding out she wasn't the only lovely lady in his life. Such a shame, really, she's such a nice lady... what, Detective? A man can't have his tastes? Pf, fine. Suspect number 2 worked at that convenience store number 1 took a trip to, and claims she was there at the time of the murder, but her shift ended at that time according to her manager. She refuses to say where she actually was. No physical evidence was collected that ties her to the crime, but many say she had beef with the guy, for whatever reason. Some anonymous tips caught her wishing him dead."
" . . . You know, some guys just can't handle their arsenic . " - " In storms my husband Wilbur, in a jealous rage . . .
'You been screwin' the milk man ! ' he says, he was crazy . . . "
"And next, number three. Hmf, hmph... sorry, my throat's getting a li'l dry. Anyways, suspect number three is 47 years old and female, also convicted of murder at the second degree. Stabbed her husband, quite a gruesome scene from what the reports say. Turns out our victim was her kid, and their relationship wasn't exactly peachy after she killed his dad. Witnesses say they saw her storming out of his apartment sometime before the estimated time of death, and was clutching something in her jacket, which we later found burned to a crisp in an alley after she attempted to evade arrest. Pretty sus if you ask me, Detective."
" . . . and then he ran into my knife ten times . "
" They say my lover held down my husband while I chopped his head off . . .
I tried to explain it to the police, but they couldn't understand me . . . "
"Aah yes, suspect number four. Quite the nutty one, if you ask me. Suspect number four, female again, is a 27-year-old Russian immigrant that only speaks Russian and some broken English. Yeah, we're gonna have a fun time with that. Real sweet lady by the way, swiped one of her homemade cookies while arresting her; real good stuff. Oh, yeah, back on track, right. Chopped her husband's head off to claim her love for an affair, so it says, and continues to claim innocence even after her release. Says police weren't understanding her due to her crappy English, but really her evidence was all over the place. Turns out that lover of hers is our beloved victim. If there's anyone with the motives to kill him, it's her. She's been trying to sue the judicial system for locking her up for a crime she supposedly didn't commit, but if she did do it, then the one person who could definitely rat her out is him..."
" . . . Nuh-uh, not guilty ! ! . . . "- " I completely blacked out . I couldn 't remember a thing . . .
It wasn't until later, when I was washing the blood off my hands . . . "
"Oooh boy detective, you're going to have yourself a jolly good time with number five. Ex-circus acrobat, completely brutalized her husband and sister with her own hands after walking in on them and discovering their little affair. At just 24 years old, she made it look like a professional serial killer's work look sloppy. Two years later now and she still says she didn't remember doing it and is innocent. Turns out our victim this time was her own little toy, there was... erm. Evidence of their attraction left on the victim's body. No, we weren't able to date how old the physical evidence was, but it's suspected to be less than four hours old from our victim's estimated departure time."
" . . . that I even knew they were dead . "- " I suppose you could say that we broke up for artistical differences . . .
He saw himself as alive, while I, well . . . "
"And last but not least, suspect number six. Strangled her boyfriend to death after one too many times catching him cheating. She's the youngest on our list at 22 years old, having killed her lover when she was eighteen. We're not quite sure why she would want to murder our victim, but the evidence shows a collection of her fingerprints on the knife that was used to... yeah, you can read that yourself. Don't look at me like that Detective, any man would get queasy after seeing what she did. Her alibi is that she sold her kitchen knife on etsy to a random stranger, but we have multiple eyewitness accounts saying someone in a dark hoodie with their features covered was around her height and build was lurking around our victim's apartment around 2 hours before the murder."
" . . . I saw him dead . "
DEAR FUTURE DETECTIVE, PLEASE READ ME
Okay, good. Got your attention, hopefully. Anyways, I'm your Mentor, you can call me Detective Yaiden. My role will be to help aid you along our investigation, pointing out different clues and helping you discover the real murderer. I will also provide you with case evidence and any facts you may have missed, and you may call upon me at any time to review what we have learned, but keep in mind that I may deny you a clue. Yes, I already know who the murderer is, but I'm not going to tell you. I want to see you think this through on your own so that you may grow. Your job is to pick apart anything that the ex-convicts say to defend themselves and rely on the evidence given to you and the evidence you discover. Think of this is a game of werewolf or mafia; find out who it is by talking to them, or the innocent (and likely you too) will pay. Anyways, that's all from me. Ciao, can't wait to get working with you!
AND TO ALL APPLYING, I SUGGEST YOU LISTEN TO THIS SONG TO KNOW WHERE I GOT THE MAJORITY OF THE INSPIRATION FOR THIS ROLEPLAY. IT MAY HELP YOU TO KNOW THE MURDERESSES BETTER BUT IT ISN'T REQUIRED TO WATCH IT.
HOW COULD YOU TELL US THAT WE WERE WRONG?
