STAR-LORD+FANART.jpg

Powers & Abilities

  • Celestial Abilities: Peter for a short time did have the same abilities as a celestial being, and was able to bend and warp reality to his will. However, due to being forced to kill his father Ego, he no longer has these abilities, for his celestial energy stopped existing when Ego stopped existing.

  • Quick Wit:
Peter is incredibly clever. What he lacks in actual intelligence, he makes up for with his knack for situational awareness. He can get a beat on his surroundings and odds in minutes, and formulate a plan based around those results in even quicker time. Most of the time however, he improvises. However, be it cunning, skill, or just plain dumb luck, he usually comes out on top.

  • Prodigy Pilot: Mostly due to his training with the Ravagers, Star Lord is a naturally gifted pilot. He can fly just about any ship he comes across, however, more complicated the controls, the more time it will take for him to get a handle on them.

  • Expert Marksman: Peter has been trained in Marksmanship ever since he was a child by Yondu, the leader of his Ravagers crew. Now he has expert level aim with his signature weapons, twin blaster pistols he constructed himself.

Weapons & Gadgets

  • Captain's Helmet: A cybernetic helmet that Star Lord wears in combat, or during space travel.

  • Ravager's Blasters: Twin blaster pistols Peter constructed himself, which have two settings. Semi automatic, and automatic.

  • Rocket Boots: Boots outfitted with small rocket boosters, which he uses for flight and space travel.
  • Sony Walkman: A blue walkman from the 1980's given to him by his mother as a gift before he was abducted and taken into space. He likes to listen to music while in battle, and as a reminder of his life before starting The Guardians of the Galaxy.

  • The Milano: A space ship gifted to him by Yondu when he was ten. It is named after his childhood crush, Alyssa Milano. It serves as his mode of transportation, and as the mobile base of operations for the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Personality
"In this galaxy, there are those who dance, and those who do not. You just need to find someone who is pathetic. Like you." - Drax the Destroyer.

Peter considers himself a charming, charismatic, quick witted Space Pirate, who is ready for any given situation, whether he has to talk his way out of a situation, or blast his way out. In reality, however, he can sometimes be a clumsy, lazy, nerdy, unprepared quick tempered slouch who almost always has to improvise his way out of a bad situation rather than forming a plan and being prepared. Despite this however, he is a genuinely kind, caring, clever, and funny person, and will do whatever he can to protect the galaxy, and its people. Mostly because he's one of the idiots who lives in it.
Weaknesses

  • Only Human: Star Lord is only human. He has no special abilities or super powers like other heroes. He can still get tired, he can still be hurt, and he can still die.

  • Impulsiveness: Peter is impulsive to a fault. While he does rely on his wit when in a scuffle, if he doesn't have a proper plan set in place, or if he is affected emotionally, he has a tendency to act without thinking, which usually leads to disastrous results.

  • Arrogance: Due to his personality, he has been known to be slightly cocky. His legend preceding him has given him a bit of a swelled head, thus causing him to greatly overestimate his own abilities in certain situations.

  • Temper: Peter has been known to have a slight problem with his temper, usually it surfaces when his team mates (Rocket, Mostly), go against his orders and act on their own, mostly just to annoy him.

Backstory
The year is 1988. Peter Quill is eight years old, and his mother is dying, afflicted with terminal brain cancer. He stands before his mother, seeing this once beautiful woman, his best friend who he loved with all his heart, who introduced him to his favorite thing in the world, music, now reduced to being sick in bed. She is not long for this world, and he knows it. She looks to him, asking him to hold her hand before she passes...but he can't bring himself to. He is then dragged distraught and screaming from the room by his grandfather. Not knowing what else to do, he ran from the hospital, crying. He didn't know where he was going, or what was going to happen next, but he ran. He ran as fast as he could, until he was soon stopped in his tracks by a large space ship hovering directly above him. He was suddenly abducted by a crew of Space Pirates called The Ravagers. Their mission was to bring him to his true father, a celestial being named Ego. However, the leader of this crew Yondu Udonta, who knew of Ego's true intentions, wasn't about to send this young, crying boy to Ego, knowing the Celestial's true intentions for him, and instead made him a part of his crew, never telling him about his father.

Twenty years later, and Peter has grown into a master thief with his own spaceship, taking on the name "Star Lord", an old nickname his mother called him. However, due to growing disloyalty and tensions with Yondu, he would soon leave The Ravagers. Upon leaving the Ravagers, he soon found new allies, oddly enough, in a Nova Corps prison. Gamora, Adopted Daughter of Thanos, Drax the Destroyer, a warrior out to avenge the deaths of his wife and child, Rocket, an anthropomorphic raccoon and technical genius, and Groot, a living tree and best friend of Rocket, who is only able to speak one phrase. "I am Groot." The five went from unwitting allies, to friends, to a team, to a family over the course of many adventures, naming themselves 'The Guardians of the Galaxy', a name they agreed on after defeating Ronan the Accuser, a henchman of Thanos the Mad Titan, who attempted to usurp him using an artifact called an "Infinity Stone."

Shortly after that adventure, Peter is approached by Ego, telling him he is his father. He offers to take him back to his homeworld, which is an extension of his own life force, to talk things over and make up for lost time. Naturally curious, he agrees to follow Ego, taking Drax and Gamora with him, while Rocket and Groot, now in an infant form due to shenanigans in their fight against Ronan, stay behind to repair the Milano, which has sustained heavy damage and is in need of repairs. Ego tells Peter that he scoured he universe looking for him, for Peter too possesses Ego's abilities to bend and warp life to his will. He shows Peter all of reality itself, and how it can all be subject to his whims, and that he can use this power to create whatever he wants, with the proper training of course. Ego admits that he scoured the universe, mating with women from all over space in an attempt to pass on his genes, as his true goal is to destroy the universe and recreate it in his own image. Peter, entranced by how vast and beautiful the universe truly is, almost goes along with it...that is until Ego makes one fatal mistake. He admits that it was he who put the tumor in his mother's brain, killing her so that he may not compromise his plans by falling in love with her. Peter immediately snaps out of his trance, realizing just how nightmarish Ego's true intentions are.

Yondu arrives along with Rocket, Nebula, Gamora's adopted sister, and Groot to aid in the final battle alongside Peter and his fellow Guardians. After a long and grueling battle, Peter is able to defeat Ego, destroying him, and as a result, losing the ability to bend reality to his whims, as Peter's power only existed as long as Ego existed. He is now fully human. That is not his only loss however. During the fighting, Yondu, the only true father Peter ever had, gave his life so that Peter may live. Currently, he and his fellow Guardians are scouring the universe, taking jobs and stopping bad guys all over. And Peter wouldn't have it any other way.

Name
Gamora

Alias
Daughter of Thanos, Deadliest Woman in the Galaxy

Age
26

Appearance
1.jpg
Gamora is Zehoberei, who are very similar to humans in appearance, except for their natural hair and skin color. However, due to her modifications, Gamora’s verdant skin is decorated with silver lines from her implants. She stands at 5’8” (her boots boost her to almost 6’) with long, black and pink ombre hair. Much like the rest of her people, she has dark brown eyes.

Powers & Abilities
Superhuman Strength, Agility, and Stamina -- The Zehoberei have already been more physically apt than most intelligent species in the galaxy, but her time with Thanos ultimately resulted in these attributes being strengthened dramatically. She was able to hold up the wrecked portion of an M-ship in her fight with Nebula, leap to a far off ledge in her escape of the Kiln, and run for an extended period of time without tiring.
Enhanced Durability -- She’s been electrocuted, thrown great distances, and submitted to the mercilessness of space, and survived (with a bit of help along the way). Her cybernetic skeleton allows her to take quite a bit of heat without breaking entirely.
Enhanced Vision -- Again, this is a mix of her Zehoberei physiology and her implants. She was able to spot Nebula from miles away as she hurtled towards Ego’s planet.
Regenerative Healing Properties -- Simply put, Gamora heals faster than most. Her body flushes out toxins, so she does not grow ill, and wounds, depending on their severity, are usually healed entirely within a day to a week.

Weapons & Gadgets
Godslayer -- A retractable blade almost always on her person. The energy core in the hilt allows her to lower its weight for improved speed in battle. There is a detachable knife at the hilt that can be used as a melee or throwing weapon.
Bionic Implants -- Every time Gamora failed and nearly died, Thanos would have some part of her altered - eyes, bones, cardiovascular system.

Personality
Stoic, merciless, reserved - all appropriate adjectives to describe someone dubbed as the Deadliest Woman in the Galaxy, but ones that are also quickly becoming irrelevant with the familiarity of her fellow Guardians. Gamora quickly cut herself off from the rest of the world, sans Nebula, when her training with Thanos began. For a good while, she had done as her adoptive father said, but with time, she became more aware of what exactly her father’s influence had done to the universe.

Now, Gamora is someone the other Guardians would no doubt describe as righteous, mature (or as Peter so eloquently puts it, with a stick up her butt), and level-headed - only reverting back to the perfect killer during fights. She’s certainly become the force of reason and morality among the rag-tag group of vigilantes-slash-bounty-hunters. Despite her upbringing, Gamora has shown an immense capacity for compassion, through her actions to bring the Orb to the Nova Corp, her protectiveness of the other Guardians, and her desire to console Nebula and bring her out of this blindly vengeful light she’s stuck herself in. She’s begun to feel deeply guilty for the actions of her past, such as ignoring Nebula’s pain when Gamora beat her or the countless people she killed when she was younger.

Weaknesses
Thanos -- Despite this rage she alotts towards the mad titan, Gamora still feels a sort of attachment to him. There is a lot of conflict in her mind regarding him. Whether or not she could actually kill the man that she still denotes as ‘father’ is unknown.
Emotionally Detached -- Gamora was taught that being open with someone often meant revealing your weakness, which is why she prefers to keep most of them hidden. She has no problem showing anger or kindness, but more deeply rooted feelings are guarded carefully.
Aggressive -- It has been shown that she does have a line that can be crossed, and she reverts back to the woman she used to be.
Mortality -- For as talked up as she is, Gamora can still be killed by a variety of methods - unprotected exposure to outer space, sharp objects, projectiles that can break skin, extreme blunt force trauma.

Her past

Backstory
Gamora was just a girl when the intergalactic warlord Thanos arrived on her planet. He took interest in her fiery, driven spirit when his army was scouring the crowd. After slaughtering half her people, she was taken and trained to be one of the most elite assassins in the galaxy. She was raised with Korath and another girl, a Luphomoid named Nebula. Though they considered each other sisters, the competitiveness that ran between them was fierce as Thanos pitted them against one another. They did everything from simple sparring sessions, to being thrown on an inhospitable planet and forced to out survive the other.

Time and time again, Gamora would come out victorious. Her deeply ingrained desire to survive beat out the desire to comfort her sister, who was slowly being cybernetically altered each time she was beaten. Even with bits and pieces of Nebula being extracted and replaced, Gamora rarely lost, and earned the favor of Thanos.

Over the course of her adolescence and eventual adulthood, Gamora came to be known as a fearsome assassin who was feared by any who knew her name. Thanos sent her across the galaxy, to find anyone with knowledge of the infinity stones and as a gun for hire. Eventually, she came to work with Ronan the Accuser, a kree fanatic with a lust for Xandarian blood, along with Korath and Nebula, to search for the Orb - what Thanos knew to be an Infinity Stone. Already, she had begun to subtly rebel against Thanos, but when she discovered who had the Orb, she took the opportunity to get as far away from him as possible and to stand against him.

When she had tracked Peter Quill to the Broker on Xandar, Gamora couldn’t have imagined the path her life would take. From breaking out of the Kiln with her ‘mutual associates’ to protecting Xandar with her friends, she went on to join them in adventures that would take them to Sovereign to a planet the embodiment of a god, and she can’t help but feel grateful for the band of misfits she’s come to see as her family.

Name: Subject 89P13
Alias
: Rocket (regularly goes by this name)
Age: 5
Appearance:
Rocket-Raccoon-PNG-Clipart.png
Powers & Abilities:
  • Intellect- Due to extensive experimentation on his brain, Rocket's intelligence is on par with an intelligent member of another species. He can communicate with numerous species, express sophisticated emotions (when he wants to), formulate plans, and perform tasks that, prior to his augmentation, were impossible.
  • Strength and Durability- Rocket's cybernetic augmentations allow him to heft weapons and equipment designed for larger beings, and sustain damage that could kill or severely injure an animal of his stature.
  • Marksmanship- Rocket is highly skilled at using all sorts of weapons. His favorites are high-impact energy weapons.
  • Engineering- Rocket can effectively handle, construct, and modify complex equipment and weapons. He once turned a toaster into a flamethrower, and has not regretted it ever since.
Weapons & Gadgets:
  • Laser Cannon- A large firearm and Rocket's favorite gun, capable of firing large, high-impact energy beams.
  • Ion Cannon- A smaller firearm, capable of rapidly firing blasts of electricity.
  • Nanobot Welder- A nanotechnological repair device that Rocket uses to patch up space vessels.
  • Tools- Numerous tools used for personal engineering purposes, including wrenches of various size, a screwdriver designed to fit all types of screw heads, and pliers.
Personality: Rocket's personality can accurately be summed up with a comparison to sandpaper. He's rough, abrasive, and generally unpleasant. His vocabulary consists of approximately 25% sarcasm, 25% swearing, 25% complaining, and 25% some combination of the three. He has little outward respect for Quill's leadership or the attitudes of his fellow Guardians. And he especially dislikes being offered jobs for little or no pay. For Rocket, the worth of a goal lies in how much stuff he gets in return; if the job's done for free, or less than what he deems appropriate, it's not worth his time.
Beneath his callous exterior, though, Rocket genuinely does appreciate the Guardians for accepting him into their ranks. After almost a lifetime of not having anyone to actually care about him, aside from an old talking tree, having friends willing to stick up for him, despite all the crap he gives them, is real refreshing, you know? And in return, if he's feeling generous, he'll stick up for them, too. Mostly Groot.
Weaknesses:
  • Greed- Rocket feels an almost primal compulsion to accumulate, whether it be Units, interesting pieces of technology, weapons, or artificial body parts. His impulsive filching can get himself, and the entire team, into real hot water.
  • Disobedience- When Rocket formulates plans, he demands obedience from his fellow Guardians, but unfortunately, he refuses to extend the same courtesy when it comes to other's plans. Especially Quill's plans. He'd much rather go off and do his own thing. This can cause everything to go pear-shaped, sometimes even resulting in serious endangerment of himself and/or others.
  • Anger- Rocket's incredibly abrasive personality has a tendency to emotionally distance himself from his fellow Guardians.

Backstory: The galactic sector was the Keystone Quadrant, the planet, Halfworld. A group of malevolent scientists was in the middle of a series of experiments, to see if they could use chemical engineering and cybernetics to augment the native fauna to higher levels of intelligence and bodily capability. Subject 89P13 was just another of these experiments; along with Subject 89P14, he turned out to be the scientists' greatest success. To the detriment of the scientists. 89P13 developed an affinity for re-configuring everyday items into weapons and dangerous equipment, which he turned against the scientists in what could only be described thereafter as the greatest zoo failure of all time. He escaped in the chaos, but lost his friend and fellow escapee 89P14.
Out on the streets, 89P13 found a world hostile to creatures like him. The denizens of Halfworld treated him with derision and disgust, with many going so far as to try and kill him. He realized that if he was going to survive, he'd need to beat the world at its own game. Calling himself "Rocket," after his then-favorite weapons ammunition, he grew a hardened exterior and turned to violence; shortly after, he found out that he could get paid for violence, and decided to become a mercenary. During one particular mission to some backwater planet, he got captured alongside a Flora colossus who called himself Groot, and was set to be executed. Fortunately for the both of them, they managed to escape, using Rocket's technical knowhow, Groot's pure brute strength, and the above mentioned toaster flamethrower. Escape from execution tends to lead to friendships and partnerships, and this time was no exception. From then on, Rocket and Groot became partners in crime.
Together, the pair went on various missions of various degrees of bullshittery, escaped from various prisons, and generally had a grand ol' time. On a pit stop on the planet Xandar, they somehow got tangled in with some dorky human calling himself "Star-Lord" and the daughter of Thanos and ended up in the Kyln prison. One thing led to another, and they found themselves even further in the mess when some Kree jackass came looking for an orb that Star-Lord had stolen, which turned out to contain one of the most powerful artifacts in the universe. Fortunately, the jackass was killed, the galaxy was saved, and Rocket and Groot found themselves with full-time jobs on a team that called themselves the Guardians of the Galaxy. Since then, they've gone on adventures of increased awesomeness, including one where they killed an entire planet.

Name: Groot
Alias
: None
Age: 11,000
Appearance:
3d22ee1552c9050219ab9383b2d37c39.jpg
Powers & Abilities:
  • Strength- Groot is blessed with incredible brute strength; he can quickly dispatch enemies and hostile machinery.
  • Body Manipulation- Groot can change his body's shape and size in a manner similar to rapid plant growth.
  • Chlorokinesis- Groot can control plant matter, be it inside or outside of his body. Plant matter outside his body takes a bit more effort to control.
  • Healing Factor- Due to his plant-like composition, Groot is capable of healing or regenerating damaged or severed body parts. In extreme cases, he can even grow an entirely new body, if a fragment of his old body is retrieved and tended to properly.
Weapons & Gadgets: None
Personality: Groot acts as his partner Rocket's voice of reason and impulse control, always trying to coerce him into doing the right thing even if there's no pay involved, with so far mixed results. Despite his fearsome appearance, he is actually very kind and gentle to innocent beings. He especially likes children. He is an optimist, trying to see the bright side of things, even when his fellow Guardians don't or can't. 12% of a plan is better than 11%, after all. He is also a willing helper in the schemes of his cohorts, sometimes a little too helpful.
However, in spite of his efficiency in incapacitating adversaries mechanical or organic, Groot rather prefers not to fight. In his mind, violence is never the way to properly go about solving problems, everyone has some small amount of good within them, and second chances are a good thing. This almost childlike idea of good in the world can clash with some of his more battle-hungry peers, but when confronted by a legitimate evil, it's usually not enough to keep him from following an order of "Groot, go whack that guy."
Weaknesses:
  • Distraction- To put it bluntly, Groot is not the brightest bulb on the marquee. He has a rather unfortunate tendency to get easily distracted, most notably by shiny objects.
  • Impulsiveness- Not as pronounced as Rocket's, but Groot will often ignore latter stages of planning to run off and fulfill his role immediately, which can be to the detriment of the plan if his task needs to be carried out at a specific time.
  • Fire Vulnerability- Being a giant walking tree, Groot is more vulnerable to fire than he'd like to be.
  • Language Barrier- Most species are unable to immediately understand the numerous inflections and nuances that Groot injects into his simple phrase, "i aM GRooT." This means that whatever he's trying to say usually only gets interpreted as him saying his name.

Backstory: The planet known only as Planet X was dying. Its population, the tree-like Flora colossus, was dwindling due to increased pollution and deforestation from increasingly aggressive settlers. Soon, the Flora colossus made up only a small percentage of Planet X's population. With extinction imminent, the treefolk dispersed, leaving their now-barren planet behind in search of literal greener pastures. One of these was Groot, a young (by Flora colossus standards) tree with honestly little knowledge of how brutal the rest of the galaxy was. If he thought that the aggressive colonization of his world was harsh, he hadn't seen anything yet.
Wandering the galaxy in search of a home, Groot instead found numerous folk who took major issue with his frightening appearance, great strength, and inability to say anything other than "i aM GRooT." One chlorophobic society even attempted to sacrifice him to their gods, along with a strange, angry creature who called himself "Rocket, the greatest mercenary in the galaxy." Together, they broke free and escaped having their macerated bodies thrown into a fireplace that took up almost entire city block. Groot took a liking to his fellow escapee, mainly because Rocket was one of the only creatures he had found in his wanderings who had not shunned him entirely, and the two struck up an odd friendship.
Name:
Drax
Alias:
To the ones who've heard of Drax, his name is usually followed by "the Destroyer", so uh, yeah. Drax the Destroyer.
Age:
I have yet to find any kind of wiki page (on both comics and MCU) or official confirmation of Drax's age, so I'd just say he's in his late 30s/early 40s. However, going off of Dave Bautista's age, he would be 49 years old.
Appearance:
(I honestly couldn't find much good Drax fanart.)
The-Guardians-Drax-guardians-of-the-galaxy-37399237-250-323.jpg
tumblr_p6cl9oWiPh1uw50r7o1_500.jpg
Powers & Abilities:
Superhuman Strength: Drax has much more physical prowess than most other species. Various examples of his strength is being able to tear a turret drone in half, rip off pieces of Groot, pull out Korath's cybernetic implants, and being able to fight Ronan (even if he lost.)

Superhuman Durability: Drax can withstand attacks that most species cannot, due to impact resistant skin.

Superhuman Agility: Drax's max jumping height is 10 feet and can jump 60 feet across. I'm not making this stuff up. I wish I was, but I really am not.

Regenerative Healing Factor: Drax's cells regenerate much faster than most species.
Weapons & Gadgets:
Drax carries two knives with him. These knives carry no special abilities but are only for stabbing...y'know, like every other knife.
Personality:
Drax is a part of a very 'literal' species. He does not understand metaphors or (most) jokes, and he can be a bit of a hot-head. While Drax may be intimidating on the outside to newcomers, he's really just making himself look tough to hide how much he doesn't understand about such basic things. This makes him seem like the "dumb brute" type, who's just a bunch of muscles with little knowledge of anything.
Well, okay, that's pretty much Drax whether he hides it or not, but the point is; Drax hides his emotions behind a big gray, tattooed, wall.
Weaknesses:
Literal: Drax doesn't understand simple phrases or metaphors. This sets him back when it comes to interactions with others.

Ill-tempered: Drax's emotions can get ahead of him sometimes, especially if it includes his old (and new) family. He can become very 'physical' if necessary/unnecessary.

"Armor? What armor?": He only wears a pair of pants. Drax wears no armor or clothing around his torso area or arms, so any fatal attacks that get past his knives will likely result in a bad ending for the Destroyer.

Backstory:
Drax, father of one and a married man, fell onto his knees as he looked down at the bodies in front of him. The Mad-Titan Thanos had invaded his homeworld and slaughtered half of his race. Ronan the Accuser, a minion of Thanos, was the one who killed the ones close to Drax. While trying to flee from the invasion, Drax, his daughter and wife, came face to face with Ronan. Drax was easily outmatched and thrown aside, and his family was spared the mercy Ronan gave Drax. He had watched as the Accuser laughed at the murder of the innocent family.
...
Families mourned all around him, though at least they still some relatives left. Thanos took everything from him. His house was demolished from the invasion, and his wife and daughter, or what was left of them, laid in front of his still body. From this day forth, Drax would stop at nothing until he killed Ronan the Accuser, and then The Mad-Titan Thanos. He was no longer a family man, he was now a Destroyer.

...and THENNN he landed himself in the Kyln for mass genocide. Inside the Kyln, Drax was faced with the first opportunity (of many to come) to avenge his family; Gamora. The adopted daughter of Thanos had been arrested by the Nova Corps. It was his time to strike. Late at night, Gamora is held against her will as she is sent to an empty hallway for her execution. Drax stops the execution, only to be the one to kill, however he is stopped by a Teran. When convinced he should use Gamora as bait to lure Ronan the Accuser, Drax decides to keep Gamora alive (and keep the knives).

After helping the Man who has lain with an Askervarian, Gamora, the dumb tree beast, and the creepy little beast escape the Kyln, Drax joins the four as they head to Knowhere, a place they hope to earn some units and sell the Orb to a man who calls himself "The Collector." However, Drax isn't in it for the cash. After getting in a fight with the triangle-faced monkey and tree, he left to send a message to the Accuser, in hopes he would arrive for a fight to the death. His message went through and Ronan arrived, along with an army of Sakaarans and Gamora's adopted sister, Nebula.

The fight didn't go the way Drax expected, as he got his behind handed to him and was left to drown in yellow mining fluids. Saved by Groot, Drax sees life in a new way, realizing how selfish he was. Had he not informed Ronan of the Orb's location, the five of them could've actually left Knowhere all in one piece. Fast-forward one bad attempt at "rescuing Quill", Drax joins the Ravagers as they stop the Invasion on Xandar. When Ronan's ship, the Dark Aster, crashlands on the surface of Xandar, Drax stands along with Rocket, Gamora, and Star-Lord as they use the Power Stone to destroy Ronan once and for all.

"Although Ronan was just a puppet. It's Thanos who I need to kill."
Satisfied with the defeat of Ronan, Drax now must pursue in the defeat of the Mad-Titan Thanos before he can finally be at ease with himself.
*I didn't really want to go into Guardians Vol. 2 since Drax is mainly just comic-relief in it*

Yaka Arrow and Controller: Installed in the middle of his head, the Yaka arrow controller is synced with the neurons of his brain, allowing him to telepathically control the Yaka arrow itself, activated via whistling. The amount of pressure, force, and fluidity of each whistle depicts the speed and strength the arrow moves at, with speeds so fast it could blur past the human eye without a sight, and strength to pass through hundreds of steel doors in a blow.
Weapons & Gadgets
  1. M-Ship: Uniform to all Ravagers, Yondu is in possession of his own M-Ship, sprayed with graffiti and the like on the exterior, the inside is just a rather basic ship and extra space pod for an escape.
Personality
As leader of the Ravagers, Yondu Udonta appears as an unscrupulous thief. He is willing to kill, threaten and betray if his well-being is in danger or he desires something of value, sometimes reneging on his employers for a benefit such as turning Peter Quill into a Ravager when he was supposed to deliver him to his father. Yondu's true nature is: Good, smart, altruistic and affectuos. Though he claims that the Ravagers have a code of honor, as Quill states that code is virtually steal from everyone. It should be noted that Udonta does have some morality as he stopped the Ravagers from eating the young Quill - an act which he continued to throw in his face.

Udonta also has a habit in which he collects oddities and places them on the console of his chair, with the most recent one being a Troll Doll that was given to him by Quill in the place of the Infinity Stone.

Even with his flaws and unscrupulous attitudes, Yondu is not a heartless person: in spite of being an alien thief, he has a level of humanity and a soft spot for Peter Quill, his adopted son. When he found a Troll Doll instead of the Infinity Stone inside the Orb, he smiled and choose to forgive this deception instead of lashing out in anger. It is also a fact that Yondu did not deliver Peter to Ego because he learned what happened to Ego's other children and kept Peter away from his father to keep him safe. Yondu was also surprisingly patient with the incompetence of baby Groot, even affectionately nicknaming him "Twig".

Weaknesses
To use the Yaka arrow, Yondu has to be able to move his lips and change the type of whistling he uses to move it effectively. It should be noted that if the Yaka arrow controller were to be ripped out of his head, he loses all control over the arrow.

Backstory
Yondu was the leader of the Ravagers, and took glory in thievery and advancing in the Ravager ranks. He was praised for his effectiveness and loyalty to the group in spite of countless acts of disloyalty which was just how the Ravagers worked. Asides from Ravagers, Yondu and the planet Ego had always had a healthy relationship, and at word of his dying wife, Yondu agreed to deliver Ego's son, Peter Quill, to his planet. Before this though, Yondu had taken the opportunity to explore (and loot) Ego's planet, uncovering his plans to instil the cancer into Peter's mother, as well as draining the energy from his children. Calmly, Yondu pretended to go along with the plan, but ended up keeping Peter Quill for himself, ultimately saving the kid's life in order for Peter to join the Ravager ranks where he was abused and used as a coy for their robberies.
****
Years later, after Peter Quill had ran off to play pretend Star-Lord on his own, Yondu was forced to hunt the former Ravager due to the Star-Lord's thieving of the Orb. Persuaded into aiding in the battle against Ronan, Yondu lent his aid and that of the other Ravagers, and in ultimate glory, the Guardians successfully stopped Ronan. Again, with mistrust amongst the Ravagers concerning Yondu's inability to secure the infinity stones, and Taserface close to calling a mutiny, Yondu is forced out of the Ravager ranks, instead turned to helping Quill again against Ego, alongside Rocket, Nebula, and Gamora. Yondu ends up sacrificing himself for Peter, though that is not the true story...

Due to prior debt to the Collector, the hoarding maniac wouldn't let Yondu die in peace, and after thawing Adam Warlock out of his hold, allowed the being to resurrect Yondu in exchange for labour in paying off what he was owed. Now, thought dead by most of outer space, Yondu escaped the Collector's holds after months of being held captive, as well as Adam Warlocks' whereabouts unknown.
