Self-Loathing Werewolf
1. No images or pictures allowed. This is mainly to prevent accidental art theft, though photos may be allowed, written descriptions are still required.
2. Keep the ratio of patient to doctor characters relatively even.
3. Type C patients are relatively rare, so try to keep the number of them to a minimum. For reference: Type As are patients whose symptoms alter their physical appearance, Type Bs are patients whose symptoms alter their abilities (i.e. Gives them supernatural powers), and Type Cs are patients whose symptoms alter both their physical appearance and their abilities.
4. This is an advanced RP in general so please try to be detailed in your responses.
5. Your forms don’t have to be 100% like the ones provided but please try to include the core details.
6. Doctors should be mid twenties and up when it comes to agewise.
7. Patients can be any age but I would prefer if the majority of them were adults.
8. All patients must have some sort of weakness or drawback to their power. While they can be powerful, they must have some sort of limit that prevents them from being overpowered.
9. The majority of doctors are simply apathetic towards their patients, while some are more benevolent or malevolent, try to keep some of the more outwardly nice ones to a minimum. (Remember: GreenGlen does not tolerate friendly interactions between doctors and their patients.)
10. If your character has some sort of secret that you don't want to outwardly share, you do not have to mention it within your form, however please DM me about it so I can give you the okay on it.
11. As a matter of fact, in general, if you are unsure about a specific aspect of your character or story you're adding to the plot, please let me know.
12. Have fun and be creative!

Additional Information:

First Name: Dr. Octavia Fitzgerald Moore
Age: 30
Gender: Female
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Sexuality: Asexual Demiromantic
Doctor or Patient: Doctor
Dr. Octavia Moore stands at about an inch or two under that of her fellow doctors, however in combination with her thin and slender body gives her the impression of her being a lot lankier than she actually is. She's the type of person to walk around the halls with a sense of importance and urgency, with a slight slouch as well as a slightly janky step that gives her even more of an unintimidating or even unnoteworthy figure. Dr. Moore is an overall rather plain looking figure. She has an admittedly ridiculously long amount of hair, with its fiery redness halting at the top of her waist. Her hair is perfectly straight, with both the bottom tips and the top bangs being cut in a perfectly straight line, giving an almost rectangular look to it. She has pale skin and bright green eyes with only the tiniest bit of freckles across her nose if you look close enough, (not that she would let you get that close to her). She wears thin, black, circular glasses on a part to her farsightedness, along with a long, white lab coat, that of which is usually unbuttoned. Underneath that, to work she wears an icy pale blue turtleneck, a dark brown pair of khakis, and black work shoes. Along with that, she is always seen with at least one facility sanctioned yellow lab glove over her right arm. In fact, due to her dedicated nature, she is almost hardly seen out of her work clothes, though she claims to wear as equally professional levels of clothing outside of work.
As you could already tell, Octavia is a highly dedicated researcher, believing in the pursuit of science for the betterment of human knowledge. She works to make herself useful and known to the Higher Ups in order to prove her worth both to them, herself, and the scientific community. Ever since a young age, she has been striving to reach a form of scientific breakthrough that would test the boundaries of what we know. She's spent years and years of research and studying, trying to learn as much as possible and make her mark on the academic world. She raised herself to be a scholar, the best scholar she could be, so much so that she places the pursuit of knowledge before all else, much to her detriment. She often times does not consider how her actions or even if her actions affect other people, believing her studies are overall more important in the end. She does not understand that why she is doing to the patients is wrong, because she cannot see things from their perspective. She is often times out of touch with both those around her and her own emotions as a result. While professional and polite, she tends to have poor social skills around others, ultimately being described as boring by her peers during nonwork scenarios. Even though she is rarely seen outside of work due to a combination of GreenGlen's 24 hour work policy and Octavia's dedication to her craft, she spends her freetime playing online games of Botticelli and watching documentaries about the intricacies of Bocce ball, subjects of which she cannot bring into a casual conversation to save her life. While she may not be a high ranking doctor within her facility, she tries her damnedest to keep the other doctors and patients in line and on task, maintaining GreenGlen's schedule. This attribute gives her the reputation of having a cold and stringent nature, a note of which isn't entirely false. While incredibly intelligent and skilled in her field, she gets easily annoyed with other people around her if they do not take things seriously and she is most certainly emotionless and unfeeling when treating her patients, as doing so could potentially affect her studies and her standing within her job. Octavia wishes she could be in touch with her emotions more, but she worries that they could get in the way of what she perceives as important. She has an air of insecurity hidden beneath her confident and professional exterior. She wants to do the best she can in the field that she's good at, but she's had to sacrifice a lot of things in her life to get there, and she doesn't even know if she's entirely happy with it. She's certainly gotten painfully numb to the monotony of her daily job, to the point that the screams and wails of the patients around her have become white noise. Still, she often finds time to put in a snide remark here or there or make a joke that only her will laugh at.
Octavia Moore was born and raised in New Mexico as an only child, the same place where the events of the initial Incident took place. She lived with her two parents Julian Moore and mother Adriana Moore nee Dunst, where her father worked as a professor at the local university and her mother assisted their grandfather at the family's grocery after he grew too old to run it himself. At a young age, Octavia found great joy in helping her mother and grandfather run their shops, and even to this day she tends to have fond memories of the experience. Still, her mindset shifted towards academics after taking a biology course in sixth grade. She became an avid studier, spending most of her remaining high school years being tutored by her father into becoming the perfect scholar. She managed to get lucky enough to attend a high ranking college within state where she continued her studies on her own. After graduating, she went from place to place looking for work, which was around the time the virus initially broke out. She initially didn't have an opinion on the whole situation, as to her it just seemed like another odd event happening in the news, until she was approached by GreenGlen who saw her credentials and offered her a job at their facility, as they were looking for doctors to perform tests on those who had become infected. While Dr. Moore had not really had any clue what was in store for her, she agreed with their terms and conditions, and has worked there ever since. Even though she found the unusual nature of the patients and the facility odd and even questionable ethically, she soon became used to it and dedicated a fair portion of her life to working there. Unfortunately, this did strain her relationship with her family as she has not seen them since getting hired. She is one of the earliest joining members at the facility, and although by no means an employee of high standing, she does tend to gleam some respect from her peers, at least on paper.
Medical Conditions: Aside from her astigmatism, she can be seen on occasion taking some sort of medically prescribed pills, though it is uncertain to her peers what ailment it is exactly for.
"How Do You Feel About Your Patients?": Octavia is apathetic towards her patients, neither outwardly kind nor cruel to them. To her they are merely test subjects, there to be studied and experimented on to figure out the origins and inner workings of the disease. Perhaps once, when she first started, she felt a twinge of guilt ache up inside her about what she was doing, if it was right, but over time she's gotten a bit numb, seeing it as just a part of the job. Even if she feels bad about what she's doing to these people deep down, it is ultimately for the pursuit of knowledge, and if the government sanctioned her to experiment on them using these methods, surely it's for the greater good.

| File: #182 |

Symptoms: Patient #182 has one of the more subtle mutations when you first look at her, save for the stuffed cloth-like ears she looks completely human when in clothes. Her chest has a round hole that goes through its entirety, there is a goopy black 'core' that hovers in the direct center of this hole, it is described to feel like a very large tapioca/boba ball, squishy but firm and much stickier, it's speculated that destroying the orb would be the only way to kill #182. Her blood is the same goopy black of her core though seems to be more watered down and she lacks any of the usual things in a human except for her nervous system and a modified cardiovascular system used for healing, any wounds including amputation of limbs will reattach and heal within a few weeks. It seems her whole body is made out of this black 'slime' and is able to shift around her shape though is unable to remove or increase how much of the slime she has, limiting her to either a blob-like form, changing the shape of her teeth, color of hair, etc. Can slide through small cracks very easily, precaution is advised. Cannot change form into say, a fox or a dog, but can get close to looking like a very humanoid animal though it's only cosmetic. Due to her unique nature of being able to change shape, she is remarkably good at imitating others, including voices. She squeaks like a dog toy both voluntarily and involuntarily, i.e when she hiccups when her cloth ears are squeezed and when squished too hard, it is still unknown why.

Height: 5'1 feet / 155 cm.

Weight: Around 110 lbs.

Hair Color: #c5b2bc / Almost always a purplish Ashey-blond color.

Eye Color: #9191ab / Eyes are always a Steely Blue-Grey color, occasionally a purple or gold.

Physical Appearance: Usually looks like a normal, non-infected high schooler though has soft plushy cloth ears on top of her head and a hole about the with of two fists where the heart would usually be, as such she also lacks some traits usual female would have.

Appearance prior to Infection: Dark Brown hair, neat and waist length. Grey eyes. Socially deemed 'Attractive' by peers, Shorter than average. Asian descent, pale skin. Aristocratic / Refined.

Appearance after Infection: Light hair, usually shoulder length, and messy. Blue-Grey eyes. Socially deemed 'Attractive' by peers, though is seen as Rat-like. Asian descent, Very pale skin. Grimey / Haphazard.

Daily Outfit Style: Often a few sizes too big, long sleeves on tops, and usually is from the men's section, hoodies and sweaters are preferred. Always wears shorts, rare to see in pants. Enjoys wearing Knee or Thigh length socks. Wears skateboarding shoes but has no interest in skateboarding.

Personality: #182 is very bright in both intelligence and demeanor. Childish and stubborn it wouldn't be unexpected for her to throw herself onto the ground and throw a tantrum. #182 is incredibly touchy and affectionate, with a constant need to hug much to the chagrin of many of our doctors. When allowed near other patients she had a strong liking to climb them. She struggles when alone and has not flourished in GreenGlen like we had thought she would when she first arrived and got evaluated. When she clicks with something, she refuses to part with it, even if it isn't hers. Other patients, even the more antisocial seem drawn to her, it is unknown if that is an effect of the virus. Reports tell us that in contrast, before infection #182 was cold and standoffish with a reputation of being a rulebreaker and hooligan, and a lack of humor. The exact opposite of what #182 is today, more research is needed on the subject.

Positive Traits: Cooperative, Outgoing, Silly, Empathetic, Affectionate, Passionate, Bright, Charismatic.

Negative Traits: Overprotective, Impatient, Hot-Headed, Childish, Reckless, Unstable, Hyperactive.

Aspirations: Quote, "I duh know? Eat a lotta donuts?" Unquote.

Fears: Extreme dislike of being alone, tight spaces, and crowds.

Weaknesses: Core is extremely vulnerable and cant be covered by slime for very long before it starts to burn (5 mins), can be taken away from #182 for about 5 hours before intense pain sets in (Used for disciplinary action), Healing takes very long and she is very vulnerable when it's happening. Lacks muscle as is made of slime, can only rely on weapons formed from slime such as claws or teeth.

Likes: Enjoys playing board games, talking out loud, Jokes & Pranks, Headpats, Bad Karaoke, Cuddles, Big fluffy blankets and lots of pillows, Annoying other people, Candy, Milkshakes, Strawberry themed food and items.

Dislikes: Has an animosity towards any fruit/vegetable that quote, "Looks like a D***" unquote, Cheaters in games that aren't her, Cafeteria food, Her Core being handled/tested on by other people, Responsibility.

Hobbies: Doodling, Rubix Cube, Tomogotchi, Seeing how hard she can get the ball in her cell to hit the walls, Napping, Badly Flirting, Using her slime like a novelty sticky hand toys to hit other people who are far away.

History: #182 was one of the earlier infections, since her illness wasn't very visible and she didn't want to go get tests she hid it well. She was the cause of an outbreak of the virus in her hometown, seeing as there was such a big outbreak, we came to round up the infected in her hometown. #182 clearly looked normal compared to other people and almost got off the hook, getting away with not having to go, but she happened to Hiccup in front of one of our doctors, and... normally girls don't sound like they've swallowed a dog toy. It was safe to say she was caught.

Life Prior to GreenGlen: She didn't have a particularly good home life, the people at GreenGlen had gone to tell them how their child had caught the virus but the door was slammed in their face after a yelled, "I don't care!" GreenGlen did not attempt contact again and the patient refuses to comment on her past life, though we have seen signs of abuse and neglect.

Life Living at GreenGlen: Tends to be one of the more peaceful patients, though has a tendency to play jokes and act out in small but annoying ways and so often gets as many punishments as some of our more rowdy patients. #182 hates her appointments and is very loud about her dislike but bares with it without much protest, though she often asks for things saying, "I did good, can I have a sucker?" Or other such childish things, it is unclear if these are jokes or #182 being serious at times. She often wants to be with other patients, asking for, as she calls them, 'playdates.' This is not usually granted as she is very dangerous in tandem with others, though not as much alone, her cell has been specially reinforced for any holes as she can slide through even the smallest cracks if given enough time.

Familial Relations: Mother, Father. No contact with other relatives.

Romantic Relations: Many records of past flings, no long-term relationships found, seemed to prefer Masculine figures before infection and has since switched preferences.

Medical Conditions: ADHD, diagnosed at Green Glen facilities, unknown if #182 had condition prior to infection.

Age Regression, doesn't seem to be linked to any sort of personality disorder and is assumed to be an effect of the virus, while always around in some form (e.g being childish and goofy), it appears most violently when scared or anxious. Examples of regression expressions when close to breaking down vs. normal for doctors to look out for:

Normal: Rocking, Babytalk, Whining, Using a doll or stuffed animal for comfort, Swinging their legs, rocking back and forth, Oral fixation ( chewing on strings, thumb sucking, etc.)

Unusual: Becoming mute (nonverbal), Spaced out more frequently, Stuttering, stumbling over words, struggling to form sentences, Inability to perform basic activities they could do before, Physical aggression, Inability to self-soothe.)

"How Do You Feel About Your Doctors?": Patient #182 Pouts, "They didn't get me nuffin (nothing) for my birthday! I didn't get any party at all and it was my adulthood birthday too!" Pqatient #182 doesn't seem to have much thoughts on the doctors,

Name: Onyx Wojcik
Patient Number: 77848
Age: 26
Gender: Agender, assigned female at birth
Pronouns: Most pronouns are acceptable, but they use they/them pronouns for themself
Sexuality: Pan
Doctor or Patient: Patient
Type: A
Symptoms: "Well lets see.... I'm a freaking griffon!"
Height: From talon to head, they are 6ft 5in
Weight: 348 lbs
Wingspan: 38 feet
Feather Color: Black
Fur color: Black
Eye Color: Gold
Physical Appearance:
Appearance prior to Incident: A young person of average height and heavier build, with short, black hair in loose curls, and fair complexion. Their facial features included blue eyes, a dainty nose, and squared eyebrows.
Appearance after Infection: Not originally dissimilar to their previous form, as the transformation took about a week to culminate. Now that their infection has taken full hold, they are slightly larger than a draft horse (minus the wings) and walks on four legs, the hind legs being that of an unidentified big cat, and the forelegs being taloned, much like an eagles. Their tail is much like that of a big cat's, though the last 6 inches of it is tufted with feathers. Behind their forelegs, a pair of wings resembling a giant, all-black version of a turkey vulture's is located. Their head resembles a raven's, proportionate in size to the rest of themself, though unlike a raven they have a pair of feathered ears of equine shape. These ears lay backwards when at rest, and stand up when agitated. Their eyes are a golden-yellow, and similar in shape to those of an American kestrel.
Daily Outfit Style: Unfortunately for Onyx, nobody makes clothing for giant winged creatures. The best the scientists could do is cut wing holes into a horse blanket. Before their infection, they favored plaid button-front shirts with jeans and nicer shoes of masculine styling, and often wore a flatcap with their outfit.
Personality:
Positive Traits: Studious, compassionate, diligent, honest, curious
Negative Traits: Anxious, blunt, stubborn
Aspirations: Before being interned at GreenGlen, they were training to become a nurse. Now, they just want to leave GreenGlen.
Fears: Harming others, sensory distress, the possibility that they will spend the entire rest of their life in GreenGlen,
Weaknesses: Emotional sensitivity, sensory sensitivities, miscommunication, averse to lying
Likes: Science, the visual arts, the performing arts, canaries, foods with interesting textures, antiques
Dislikes: Snakes, foods with strong flavors, being kept prisoner
Hobbies: Singing, drawing, collecting small antiques; Before turning into a griffon, Onyx had a pet crested canary named Lucky, which they insisted be re-homed so that they wouldn't scare him to death.
History:
Life Prior to GreenGlen: A relatively ordinary, if somewhat isolated life. In childhood and early adolescence Onyx questioned everything that they didn't understand, often leading their parents, teachers, and peers to be frustrated with them. Gradually, this led to them fearing that they were out of the loop in some critical way, and they eventually grew apathetic to learning why society works the way it does, becoming convinced that there was something wrong with them. It wasn't until the age of 16, when they got an official diagnosis of Autism and sought out peer support, that they began to consider that instead of there being something wrong with themself, that perhaps it might be that society wasn't built for people like them. Eventually, they questioned gender too, and came to identify as agender at around the age of 17. Upon graduation from high school, they worked as a receptionist at a dermatologist's office in order to save money for nursing school.
Life Living at GreenGlen: In the week leading up to when they were sent to Greenglen, Onyx noticed some subtle changes in their appearance, as well as unexplained itching and pain throughout their body. At first, they thought that they were having an allergic reaction and walked to the urgent care near their apartment, but while they were waiting in the exam room, they sprouted feathers on their ears. Needless to say, they were rushed to GreenGlen, where they still haven't completely adjusted. Over the course of their first week there, they completed their transformation into a griffon. So far, it's been 10 days since their admission, and they are just getting over the pain.
Familial Relations:
  • Thomas Wojcik, father
  • Amy Rutheford Wojcik, mother
  • No siblings
Romantic Relations: None at the moment
Medical Conditions: Autism, generalized anxiety disorder, seasonal allergies,
"How Do You Feel About Your Doctors?": "I'm sure this is a trick question. But I know I'm going to get in trouble even if I don't answer it, so yeah.... I don't like them."
Additional Information: Onyx will probably be my only character for now.

Name: J. Auguste Cortes
Patient Number: #0047
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Pronouns: He/Him
Sexuality: Gay
Doctor or Patient: Patient
Type (A, B, C): C
Symptoms: Super strength and endurance, and the ability to shift into his wolf form both on command and when under intense emtoional duress.
Height: 6'7
Weight: 287 lbs
Hair Color: Dark brown
Eye Color: Blue

Physical Appearance:
Appearance prior to Incident: Already monstrous looking, Auguste had been 6'7 and an intensely wiry musculature to him from years of hard work but malnourishment - the look of a rabid wild wolf. He had shoulder-length dark curly hair and tired blue eyes and a deep melodiously beautiful voice.
Appearance after Infection: On the outside, nothing has changed. He's just as monstrous as before, but now that he's being fed properly he's gained a lot of muscle mass now that they can form properly. He has the ability to shift himself into a werewolf-esque form. Beastial face, long canines, claws, digigrade legs, and a tail. 9 foot tall with so much fur that he gets hairs stuck in his mouth for weeks. But at least he gets to stay bipedal!

Personality:
Positive Traits: Soft-spoken, gentle, empathetic, genuine,
Negative Traits: Wrathful, sarcastic, wary, self-destructive, anxious
Aspirations: Become free, never hurt a living soul again, become emotionally stable if he has time after achieving the first two.
Fears: Hurting people, being a burden on others, stepping on people much smaller than him, his mother, his first name and the power it holds over him, people that look fragile, people who are very nice,
Weaknesses: He's mentally fragile, and a pacifist to the degree that he'd rather someone stab him than hurt another person. His mind often betrays him, though, and he has the tendency to go into a blind rage if he's pushed too far. This added with the aforemention pacifism means that he's... he's certainly doing great. Silver burns him.

History:
Life Prior to GreenGlen: One train wreck right after the other. Auguste was born a artistic prodigy - his mother was a nurse and his father was an equally prodigious dancer. He was put into music and ballet lessons as soon as they could. And Auguste took to it like a duck into water, but then his dad died, and Auguste was ripped away from everything he knew as his mother's mind never quite recovered from the tragic and sudden loss.
Intense abuse followed, and Auguste ran away a couple of times here and there, falling into a gang's embrace where he quickly became addicted to fighting and blood. But luckily for him, a childhood friend helped him escape and hooked him on performance once more. The friend also helped him move to America where he then managed to get infected. Hooray.
Life Living at GreenGlen: Poked and prodded at, Auguste has become mostly silent and one of the more quietly rebellious patients due to his completely unresponsive state that he gets in whenever he's tested.
Familial Relations: Mother (estranged), grandparents (estranged)
Romantic Relations: N/A
Medical Conditions: c-PTSD, Anxiety
"How Do You Feel About Your Doctors?": Ever the anti-authority, Auguste despises cops. He also hates people digging into his business, because he doesn't like reliving the past. People whose jobs are meant to cage him and poke and prod at his mental state? You could say that he isn't exactly their biggest fan.
Additional Information: He's doing great.

Name: Odette Arya Barlowe

Patient Number: #311

Age: 18 y/o

Gender: Female

Pronouns: She/ Her

Sexuality: Demisexual

Doctor or Patient: Patient

Type (A, B, C): Type A

Symptoms: Patient #311 has quite obvious symptoms not only by her looks, but with her transformation. If put in water, she will grow around 50 ft. in length and possess a set of tentacles where her feet usually are. The upper half of her body stays human, while the lower half turns into what we have discovered to be similar to an octopus. Her eyes are still white, and we have discovered that she is still blind when in this form. Although her strength in this form more than quadruples her human form's, she cannot do much in the tank we have provided.

Height:
(When human)- 5'0"
(When transformed)- 50"

Weight:
(When human)- 118 lbs.
(When transformed)- No test has been done yet

Hair Color: Black

Eye Color: White- No Iris

Physical Appearance: Patient #311 is a small, slender 18 y/o girl. Her skin is a light purple, and slimy to the touch. Her eyes are completely voided white, and we noticed she cannot see. We are currently teaching her how to use echolocation to get around easier. The doctors have gotten tired of wheeling her around in the wheelchair. Her hair seems to be the same as any human's. It's been messily cut, along with her bangs, which we assume to have happened prior to infection. The patient's teeth are jagged, resembling a shark's tooth. During interviews it is best to keep a muzzle on her.

Appearance prior to Incident: Through photos we've received from the patient's house, along with the few descriptions we have obtained from #311, she was of Caucasian decent, with black hair and hazel eyes. Her blindness was a result of the infection.

Appearance after Infection:
(Human form)- #311's skin is discolored into a light purple, creating a mucus on the surface that makes her slippery to touch, much like an octopus. Her teeth have grown into jagged, sharp edges similar to a shark's. Her hair has not changed from when she was human, but her eyes have whitened as if not touched by light in years, causing blindness.
(Transformation)- When put in water, patient #311 grows significantly in size- around 50" in length. Her feet transform into (8) tentacles, with suckers underneath each. Her eyes, hair, skin, and teeth do not change in this form. The upper half of #311 in this form is still human, and we are still able to communicate verbally with her this way.

Daily Outfit Style: #311 tends to throw fits when too much cloth is touching her. The mucus makes it much harder to put clothes on her, so she tends to dress in skirts and tank tops, even in low temperatures.

Personality: Patient #311 is talkative about anything but the past. She tends to be sarcastic and rude only to the doctors, but much more manageable around other patients. She's witty and quite smart, which we have noticed gives her somewhat of a superiority complex. #311 will not hesitate to show off in front of others, and enjoys difficult puzzles. Overall she is very outgoing, often to the point where she cannot discern when to stay silent and when to talk. Or she simply does not care. Despite her human size, #311 is protective of other patients. Forming bonds quickly, it seems she grows attached to others fast and will become loyal to them in a matter of hours, whether the other subject allows this or not.

Positive Traits:
+Loyal
+Smart
+Outgoing
+Protective
+Creative

Negative Traits:
-Superiority complex
-Stubborn
-Impatient
-Unable to read a room (Or simply doesn't care)
-Anxious attachment

Aspirations:

Fears: Dying, letting others get hurt, not being the smartest, becoming trapped in the facility forever

Weaknesses: Size (Human form), the sun (For an extended amount of time), an insolvable puzzle (Will become obsessed with solving it until she forgets to eat/ sleep), not enough food (Transformed- We supply enough food to sustain #311 in human form. However, we do not have enough to give out to sustain her 50" form, so she becomes weakened)

Likes: Water, puzzles, friends, skirts, patients who cannot solve puzzles, sea creatures, the dark, rain

Dislikes: Fire, doctors/ scientists, the muzzle, tight clothing, people with an ego, dogs, the sun

Hobbies: Swimming, puzzles, reading, painting

History-

Life Prior to GreenGlen:
Patient #311 grew up in southern California with her mother, step father, and his two sons. They had a fairly normal life prior to the infection outbreak. The patient was always considered the genius of the family, although did nothing in her studies to prove that she stood out from the rest. According to #311, she has always been fond of puzzles, but was never near as quick to solve them as she is now. During the outbreak in their hometown her mother was adamant that the family stay inside, but they quickly succumbed to the infection after a seemingly harmless visit from their neighbor. The rest of the family has yet to be found, #311 being the only one to stay inside the house according to the doctors who extracted her. Not much else is known about the patient's history, although most assume (Due to her personality) that she was well liked in school. From information we've gathered at her previous high school, her best subject was math, leading the research teams to assume this played a part in how the infection changed her. Octopuses are largely considered to be intelligent creatures, proven further with #311's love for puzzles.

Life Living at GreenGlen:
Patient #311 was extracted from her home on August 21st and brought to the facility by doctors [REDACTED]. The patient's first time here proved to be difficult, as we only assumed her infection was a change to her human appearance. She lashed out frequently and went through many treatments and punishments before settling. We were informed of her ability to transform a week into her time in the facility after the [REDACTED] test. Teams worked quickly to procure a fitting holding cell and test cell for her, and within a months time we were able to perform tests specific to patient #311 needs.

Familial Relations (parents, children, siblings, cousins, etc.):
Mother- Anna Barlowe
Step father- Micheal Barlowe
Step brother- Ashton Barlowe
Step brother (Younger)- Franklin Barlowe
Unknown biological father

Romantic Relations (married, dating, crushes): Had a boyfriend prior to infection. Unsure where he is now.

Medical Conditions: N/A

"How Do You Feel About Your Doctors?": "They're fine. Superficially, I mean. They do their jobs, and they give me puzzles to work on. I'm sure you already know that, in general, I despise them. They're terrible people, nothing like some of the patients here. I've known love and kindness, and the doctors do not meet any of those criteria."

Life Prior to GreenGlen: just before the mutations started in them, they had come to the town to investigate the disappearances that had been occurring (under a false identity, of course, neither as Marianne nor Victoria). they managed to publish a single piece, before being taken to the facility. before any mutations had appeared, may I add.
Life Living at GreenGlen: Marianne continues to rail against the doctors, being non-compliant, leading to more and more painful results, that continue to not break her. they are constantly hammering against the glass, a look of near-madness in their eyes. yeah uh so Mari is starting to go a little nuts... they bit their last doctor in an attempt to wrangle free.... now, they spend their days continuing to be a huge nuisance, writing on toilet paper with their own blood as ink, keeping a document of all the abuses they have suffered.
Familial Relations (parents, children, siblings, cousins, etc.): oy. Marianne was born one twin of a very bourgie family, the "Alryans", a pharmaceutical company (as well as an ammunitions maker, with somewhat of a nasty streak of... combining the two enterprises) Her twin brother, Alan, and them did not get along very well, he refused to rebel, longing to be the good kid his parents wanted. aaaannnd so stayed in the closet. he was the only one Mari still had contact with. we don't talk about the parents
Romantic Relations (married, dating, crushes): single.
Medical Conditions: Marianne has asthma, and is also some flavor of neurodivergent, resulting in hyper fixations, fidgetiness, and sensory overload (specifically hearing related. this has gotten worse).

I have been convicted of no crime, nor have any of my fellow prisoners. and, as far as I am aware, the vast majority of detained persons in this facility are over eighteen and citizens."
Marianne went to law school. be very afraid.
don't deadname Mari. don't.

Everyone who has created a character has been accepted! Sorry for the late response, I've been a bit busy. Anyways, I do have a couple of announcements to get out of the way real quick.
Firstly, I'm going to wait until we get a little more people to make their characters until I start the RP. I will, however, may make a Plot/Chat thread in a bit where people can exchange plot ideas and questions in the meanwhile.
Secondly, I am still going to be allowing people to make patient ocs, however, there is a heavy majority of patients compared to doctors, so the thread will most likely begin once we get a few more doctor characters in.
Thirdly, I wanted to clarify that I'm planning to have posts in the actual RP thread be at least three paragraphs or about fifteen sentences long per character. Just wanted to let you guys know just in case as I didn't know where else to put this update. This doesn't have anything to do with the character submissions I'd just thought I'd notify you prior to the beginning of the RP. If this may be an issue with you, please let me know. <—Disregard last sentiment, this rule is now void.

I'm so sorry, but I'm not sure I can live up to the paragraph minimum. I figured that there wouldn't be once, since detail was mentioned in the interest check, but not quantity.

StrixDesmodus StrixDesmodus That's perfectly understandable. Like I said, that was the initial planned ideal, however, given different circumstances I may change it so it maximizes detail and quality and not quantity.

I'm not completely sure what you mean by "given different circumstances." Could you clarify?
I was originally going to have the three paragraph rule set in place but I wasn't 100% sure if I'd have the muse for it or if I was really wanted to do that in general (I originally wanted to do so as a sort of challenge but the more I though about it, I realized longer posts sort of mess up dialogues between characters which is a problem for a most likely dialogue heavy thread) so I decided to just leave the rule unchanged for now to see what people thought and if most people also weren't sure of it either than I'd change it. Does that make sense? I'm very sorry for all the confusion, I'm not really good at these kinds of things admittedly.

It makes sense now. Thanks for clarifying. I don't know what kind of bearing this will have, but I avoid threads with quantity minimums, especially those that I feel are higher than I can follow without struggling or at least feeling awkward. I don't mind if you keep the quota, but I will probably not stay in this rp if you do. My post lengths fluctuate wildly, but are usually under three paragraphs.

StrixDesmodus StrixDesmodus I understand. Although I might change the rule so there’s no post minimum so that way it can be more accommodating, I understand if you wish to drop out. I’m sorry for all of this, but I thank you for taking an interest in this thread anyway.

It's ok! I'm not dropping out unless the rp starts without confirmation of change for the rule in question. And I'll probably ask about it before the rp starts, just to make sure, if there isn't confirmation beforehand.

Physical Information

Height: 162cm
Weight: 71kg
Hair Color: Raven Black
Eye Color: Dark Brown
Physical Appearance:

Ling is a short, thin woman with dead straight, thin and bobbed black hair and a round youthful face. She has light skin, with a smattering or random freckles scattered all over her body. She has a young, inexperienced look about her and often displays tense body language. She has a tidy look, her hair is never out of place, her nails are always short and perfectly rounded, her shoes are always shined and all her clothes fit perfectly and fall neatly across her small frame. She is usually seen wearing a simple silver chain with a small locket around her neck.

She has a horrible scar across her abdomen and if you look carefully you will notice a faded scar on her right palm from an old stabbing wound. She is also shortsighted and constantly wears a silver wire frame pair of glasses.

Work Uniform: She wears a standard issue lab coat over a neatly pressed blouse of various colours and patterns. She usually wears comfortable black slacks and black flats.

Daily Outfit Style: When she is not wearing her coat she usually opts for a simple business casual look. Collared shirts, jeans or trousers ect. Her style is always tidy and plain.

Personality:

Ling lacks confidence and if you are observant, you might notice. She does her best to present as her mother advised her too: Deadpan, professional and giving nothing away. The problem with that is that Ling, ever since childhood, has been the kind of person that wore her heart on her sleeve. She was a sensitive child, and now, as an adult woman, that sensitive only comes across as a fleeting glimpse of emotion before the mask goes back on. She is incredibly intelligent, a mathematical genius and has a near photographic memory. This often comes across in her work and job performance, however she has issues with expressing her intelligence in social situations, and can often seem very ditzy, careless or clumsy. Her brain moves faster than her body can keep up sometimes.

She has also been known to take risks with patients in the past that involved her getting too close or letting them trick her into relaxing her safety measures resulting in the scars she has accumulated so now she is an absolute stickler for procedures and treats her patients very clinically and without emotion.

Ling is an exocentrically neat person. Everything she owns has a place, and she obsessively keeps a very tidy appearance and abode. She has

Positive Traits:

Empathetic
Intelligent
Hardworking
Intuitive
Neat

Negative Traits:

Clumsy
Naïve
Awkward
Lacks confidence
Sensitive

Aspirations:

To find a cure for the virus
To please her mother
To be of value to the world

Fears:

Becoming infected
Patients being used for nefarious purposes rather than for finding a cure
Getting fired

Weaknesses:

Too soft
Physically weak

Likes:

English breakfast tea
Cats
Piano music
Red wine

Poetry

Dislikes:

Green/herbal tea
Big animals
Loud/angry music
Places with a lot of people
Being put on the spot

Hobbies:

Soduku

History:

Life Prior to GreenGlen:

Her mother was a strict and secretive woman who raised Ling on her own. She was a senior Doctor but Ling never learned where she worked. That was always shrouded in mystery. Her mother was not a very kind person, and Ling always got in trouble whenever she cried or showed weakness around her. She was always taught to "Keep one's suffering to yourself, and push through it". Despite that, Ling was a deeply empathetic and soft girl. The only saving grace, in her mothers eyes, were her perfect grades and her bright future. She was pushed through schooling, university and medical school. There was very little time for fun, friends or boyfriends in her life, and because of this her social skills were limited. As for her love life it was only fleeting flashes of romance before it came time to meet the family and he was sent running with his tail between his legs.

When Ling graduated from medical school with top marks, she was finally allowed to begin looking for a husband. Her own father had divorced her mother when she was very young and Ling has never been in contact with him, so her outlook on love was a little bit negative, and she would try only half-heartedly to find someone. She also became employed for the first time at a hospital. She was still living at home with her mother, and working crazy hours. It seemed nothing had changed from when she was a child. Then, finally, when she turned 27, her mother told her what she did. Her mother was one of the top dogs at GreenGlen. Now, an experienced young doctor, her mother thought she was ready.

Life Working at GreenGlen:

Ling has been fed ideals about this place, that all of this was for the greater good, and that all that she was doing was necessary in order to save the world from a potential virus infection. Ling, however, having found out now why all these disappearances were occurring, is waging war inside her head over what is right morally and what is necessary for the greater good. She is pouring herself into her work, trying her best to figure this mess out without sacrificing all she is inside.

History:
Life Prior to GreenGlen: Most of his childhood was spent with quite a bit of survivor's guilt, and a maimed leg. His parents and infant brother were killed in the car crash that left him with a crushed and lacerated right leg with a severed nerve. He and his uninjured sister, Emily, went to live with their grandmother after the crash, and since then, their life was relatively calm. He and his sister were supported well by their grandma in all aspects of their needs, at least until the onset of their grandmother's dementia. It was mild at first, and nearly unnoticeable, but her state declined. Emily and Calvin applied to become emancipated minors in order to legally manage their grandmother's affairs, a petition which was granted a year before her death. Calvin has since entered college, taking an assortment of classes in order to figure out what he takes to best.
Life Living at GreenGlen: Unfortunately, one day Calvin was waiting for a lecture to start and thought to himself "I wish I had a banana," and a banana appeared at eye level, then dropped down to the table in front of him. This would lead to more trouble than he could have predicted, as he tested and eventually flaunted this power. One of his professors, who was a former worker at GreenGlen, turned him in. He's been stuck there for months since, but he hasn't been unable to cope.
Familial Relations:
  • Brian Sweet, father (deceased)
  • Briana Morgan-Sweet, mother (deceased)
  • Emily Hannigan-Morgan, maternal grandmother (deceased)
  • Emily Sweet, younger sister

"How Do You Feel About Your Doctors?": "You think I'm going to answer that? Pah!"

Eleanor Hearth

- Doctor -

Age:

32

Gender:

Female

Pronouns:

She/Her

Sexuality:

Bisexual

Height: 5'8 / 173 cm

Weight: 125 lbs / 59 kg

Eleanor is quite tall for a lady, but don't think that doesn't make her act any less like one, her face is sunkissed and her skin light brown, her hair is a similarly warm shade of milk chocolate that has a slight red sheen in the sun. Her hair often looks like it's been rustled by the wind even if she's been behind a desk all day, curling around her beaming face. Eleanor's face is a peachy red even when she's not blushing, making her look like she's positively embarrassed or enamored at any time. Her eyes are seafoam colored and her figure is decidedly curved, though that's mostly hidden by her lab coat and she has a friendly air around her. Her nails are perfectly taken care of and she looks decidedly well put together, her fellow doctors having never seen her with eyebags or a slouch.

Her uniform is similarly neat and tidy, with her lab coat perfectly unwrinkled, a business skirt, and a warm, business-suited sweater. Though it doesn't look cold or uncomfortable on the warm aired Eleanor. But when not at work, her style changes to extremely non-professional, t-shirts and sweatpants or even punk attire.

Personality-wise Eleanor is very calm, she is a problem solver and peacemaker at heart. She has a diverse amount of friends and a diverse amount of experiences. Though gentle she is not afraid to stand up for herself and is surprisingly strong. She likes to joke around and can sometimes take it too far but always apologizes when she realizes her mistakes. Though she really doesn't understand a lot of people, she is very good with the younger patients trying to be understanding and calm about treatment, but she isn't too nice. She doesn't sympathize with her patients and really doesn't care about them outside of the fact that they are work for her.

In her personal life, Eleanor is a bit of a wild card, a bit of an alcoholic, and a regular club-goer she often gets into a lot of hijinks, you know she has taken some illegal substances in her youth. Though she has largely calmed down from then. She smokes and stays up late regularly and is generally a ball of bad habits when not at work, she largely dislikes that but she can't seem to stop herself.

In her past, Eleanor was quite the rebel, she had been in and out of juvenile detention centers since she was just a kid, her parents and she lived in a trailer park and they were often smoking and in general, being bad parents, even allowing a pre-school aged Eleanor to drink as much as she wanted, which wasn't much. She got into the alcohol and drugs scene fully in high school, though she hated it, pressured into going along by her friends. The moment she turned 18 she joined a biker gang to get away from it all, not even graduating from high school, her addictions lessened during that time and she started becoming more normal, by then she realized if she wanted to do anything in life she would have to go to school. So a then 20-year-old Eleanor pulled herself up by the bootstraps and went back to school, eventually going through college to become a doctor. Eleanor's life at GreenGlen has been largely uneventful, she works and doesn't really think about the morals of the situation, day in and day out, a repetitive cycle smattered with interactions.

Eleanor has two kids that she loves very much, Jade (3) and Ruby (1). She raises them with her Ex-Husband Jamie Bright (28) who she met in college, she is still on good terms with him and his wife Claire. They switch off who the kids stay with every two weeks. She is currently not in any romantic relationships.

She enjoys board games, gardening, and going out to clubs in her free time.

Positive Traits: Calm, Kind, Mature, Clever, Peaceful

Negative Traits: Two-Faced, Apathetic about others, Judging, Pushy.

Aspirations: Get Sober, Stop Smoking, and Spend more time with her kids.

Fears: Death, Her work reputation being destroyed, having her kids taken away.

Weaknesses: Her kids, Her obsession with her reputation, her addictions

Likes: Flowers, little kids, alcohol, cigarettes, the moon, candles.

Dislikes: Tuesdays, Overly-happy people, alcohol, cigarettes, bright lights, bacon.
