The latest MMORPG from Wisdom Technologies, Grand Seeker, has just been launched. A full body immersion gaming system, called the DIVE system, is used to play the game. Using a DIVE Pod your mind and body become digitized making the virtual reality a reality. Players will be able to feel every sensation they experience in the game (aside from death of course) meaning zero lag between action and reaction. In the game player characters are referred to as Seekers, treasure hunters capable of wielding incredible powers. The goal of the game is simple. Collect the 100 Sacred Treasures scattered throughout the realms and become the Grand Seeker!

The first Sacred Treasure has been revealed! Where does it lie? What powers does it hold? Will you be the first to obtain it? Seekers you have your mission!

The Sacred Treasure: Pendant of the Cloudrunners
Lore: This pendant was said to be worn by the Queen of the Cloudrunners in ancient times. The Cloudrunner people were said to be able to walk on air as if they were flying. Cloudrunners worshiped the sky god, Akillian and were said to be blessed by his Breath. Rumor has it this pendant lies somewhere within the Ruins of Cloudrunner's Keep. The ruins sit atop a floating island shrouded by the clouds. Legends say that Cloudrunner's Keep can be seen on stormy nights drifting within the eye of the storm.

But with no way to get to there how will the Seekers claim the treasure?

The high schooler Max walked into his room.

Having a good meal, he prepared for his first login to the game. "Virtual reality. Lets make a character," he said.

He put on the VR gear and got comfortable on his chair. "I wonder will there be any cute girls... Then again they may just be guys in real life. I'll just focus on gameplay."

He logged into the game and started making his character.

"Jinsu the samurai," he smiled, waiting after he made his character.

Delilah sighed, coming home after a horrible day of school. She skipped any food or drink, and opted going straight to her room, and.going into the DIVE pod.
"I know you wont ever let me down, Chif.", Delilah said as she logged in, and was already fully in since she had made her character the night before. She was in a small town, and Delilah assumed it.must have been a tutorial.

Chif, however, had no idea of where she was or why she got here. All she knew was the whisperes she overheard of treasures...
Patiently she waited for her chance to find anyone to group with. "Ugh... The worst part of starting adventures, waiting for a group...", She said after a few minutes passed, already hating this wait.

There's always a certain amount of satisfaction in these games whenever you do something. When you level up, when you find a rare drop, when you use that new skill, it's all built to keep you coming back. Yet there was no physical reward; it's all a virtual skinner box designed to keep people playing in hopes of getting that next burst of dopamine. It could turn some players into mindless zombies who could spend all day grinding for one item. In the end that's what the Sacred Treasures were; just another checklist.

Not that Ragna minded. At least with a goal like the treasures the adventure was in the journey. There were mountains to climb, seas to sail, monsters to fight, and people to meet. Once she got a party of course. She had spent her day off getting up to level 5 and learning the ropes, so now she just needed a group. She could probably handle low level threats for now, but she didn't have the attack power for it to be a viable solution. Plus, where was the fun in that?

And so here she was, back in the starting town looking for a group. A lot of people came back here looking for friends or people of similar level. Honestly she half hoped she'd find her sister, but considering their last conversation she could assume she wasn't coming. Her eye caught one person specifically; an Asian woman in what looked like a combination of street wear and a gi. Odd for a fantasy game, but Ragna wasn't one to talk. Tanking hits with an exposed midriff felt weirder than it ever looked. "Hey!" Ragna called over to the woman as she walked over. "Are you looking for a party right now?"

Chif heard someone doing a call out somewhere and decided to wander around the town, searching for where she had just heard someone call out. She walked past a few shop-stall-looking areas before finding the woman the voice.must habe come from.

"She's trying to start a party with that lady... Maybe i can join in?",she whispered to herself as she watched them from afar. They looked like good allies, and judging from the skimpy armor she assumed one was a tankier warrior. Perfect for her to work with.
