This is to be the character section of the RP, both the current arc and its potential sequels. In short, Gotham: Dystopia encourages the use of canon characters as presented in DC Comics, but with a twist of each player's individual originality. Namely, the stories and paths you pick for your characters are yours to decide, the only limitation being the core elements of the characters as presented in the comics. But, what you do with those core elements and how you mold them into your vision of your character is up to you. You can use Wikipedia or DC Wikia as reference points for certain information.

Original Characters

Since DC Comics has more than enough characters to offer, original characters are not our top priority. That being said, OCs are not strictly forbidden, but their usage should be limited. Of course, ''normal'' OCs (p.e. police officers, politicians, small-time criminals, love interests, journalists, family members, ...) are not a problem as long as they fit the lore, but superheros/villains should be picked from the canon. If you are really really really keen on adding an OC superhero or villain, please consult one of the admins before applying to see if it is possible.
Application

The application goes through filling the character sheet provided below. You are not obliged to use the following character sheet, heck, you're not obliged to use any character sheet, but your application has to have all the necessary information as provided in the original character sheet. If you want to add some extra information, you are free to do so, but you have to provide all the necessary info.

OSWALD C. COBBLEPOT
Age: 37
Full Name:
Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot
Alter Ego: The Penguin
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Height: 1.83 m
Weight: 71 kg

Play-by: Edward Norton

Affiliation: Villain / Anti-hero
Organization(s):
  • The Penguin Organization

[div class="ContentPersonality"]
Skills: Oswald possesses a genius-level intellect, something he combines with his legal and financial expertises in order to lead his business empire. He is also a skilled tactician, something that is useful for both his public and hidden profile. As Penguin, he tends to use specially designed, weaponized umbrellas, which contain either a firearm, or a blade; both types become useful, as he is a skilled marksman and fencing expert.
Personality: Oswald Cobblepot successfully manages to keep his public and private profile separated. Publicly, he is somewhat of a celebrity (not as Bruce Wayne, though), enjoying a fair amount of media attention and publicity. He is described as a open-minded, warmhearted person, funny and witty and very successful in practically everything he does. Privately, Oswald is more of an introvert, preferring to keep to himself and his own thoughts.
As far as the Penguin goes, as Oswald Cobblepot's criminal alter ego, he is more similar to his introverted, private side than to his public profile. Intelligent, diligent and overly practical, the Penguin is known only by his alias and by a brutal reputation that follows him in the criminal underworld. A Solomon-like figure, the Penguin is known as an enigmatic leader, an unknown force certainly to be reckoned with, but as a fair judge of his underlings' work, rewarding when necessary and merciless when required. It is said that it is better not to know his true identity, stemming from the gossip that the only ones who've had the pleasure of meeting him - are dead.

[/div][div class="ContentHistory hidden"]
Born in Gotham City to wealthy parents, Oswald Cobblepot was raised in prosperity and could never say that he had missed something during his upbringing. He was the older of the Cobblepot twins, his brother Simon being just three minutes younger than him. Although close, Oswald and Simon never seemed to establish a truly brotherly bond, viewing each other more as friends, than siblings. When Simon died of complications caused by Huntington's chorea, aged seven, Oswald never fully comprehended that he had lost a brother and not a friend, which is why he was able to recover, emotionally at least, quite fast, finding new friends among Gotham's young elite. His parents, on the other hand, had severe problems coping with the death of their younger son and their psychic state deteriorated over the years, leaving Oswald more and more isolated and left to care for himself.

He managed to complete his education in Gotham's finest schools and was finally sent to Europe to complete his law studies in the United Kingdom, France and, eventually, Switzerland, where he also obtained his PhD. While he was in Europe, his parents died, leaving him as the only heir to a vast family fortune. After traveling around Europe for a year, Oswald finally returned to Gotham, where he took over his family affairs and became a businessman and one of Gotham's most wealthy benefactors.

His main business is centered around the clubs and casinos owned by the Cobblepot family, the main one being a luxury club in downtown Gotham, called The Iceberg Lounge. He also owns a luxurious, 5-star hotel, Gotham North, also located in downtown Gotham. Still, Oswald Cobblepot donates large amounts of many to Gotham City, to charity, especially for medical research; he was one of the main benefactors during the renovation process of Elliot Memorial Hospital, where a wing has been named in the honor of his family. Very popular with Gothamites, Oswald Cobblepot manages to keep a clean appearance, thus hiding some of his more dubious affairs.

HARLEEN F QUINZEL
Age: 21
Full Name: Harleen Frances Quinzel
Alter Ego: Harley Quinn
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Height: 5"6
Weight: 59kg

Play-by: Elle Fanning

Affiliation: Villain
Organization(s): Arkham Asylum

[div class="ContentPersonality"]
Skills: Despite being somewhat absent-minded, Harleen has and is still being trained in psychiatry by her very own mother. She also finished college a model student with high grades. So safe to say she is very intelligent.
She also was a dedicated gymnast and still has excellent gymnast skills.

Personality: As Harleen :
Harleen is quite introverted in nature although she does tries hard to fight through it. She tries to keep herself occupied with her studies, but it all but bores her. Sure she was interested in being a therapist in some degree, but she mainly was just following along with her mothers wishes. Maybe in the future she could write a book about one of her patients and become famous. In her eyes it was too late to leave the psychiatry field.
Even though she can seem serious or boring at a first glance, she secretly has a sort of dark sense of humour and is still a child at heart looking for some adventure. Something her strict parents would disapprove of, of course.
Harleen can be quite naive and too trusting of other people, also she’s is pretty clumsy. At heart she is a hopeless romantic, as she has never had a boyfriend, she falls for people pretty easy but never acts upon it. Being drawn more to the more free spirited and fun people.

Currently she is hiding behind the facade of Harleen Quinzel, looking for someway to break out of her boring , depressing life.

[/div][div class="ContentHistory hidden"]
Growing up Harleen was expected to be study focused and follow in her mother's footsteps. Mostly she just went along with it earning great grades in school, having little distractions in all aspects of her life (Aka friends) from her studies.
With her Mother being a psychiatrist and her Father a cop, they were always very career oriented people and well known in their fields. Her mother still very much so, but as of late Harleen’s father was becoming very laid back and even more of an asshole. They were rumours he’d been bought out by the Penguin. The mother ignored these rumours of course, not giving them the time of day.
She was more concerned with getting her daughter some real work experience at a new asylum that was to be opened, very soon.

Even though Harleen had moved into her own apartment, not far from her parents, her mother still would come see her a lot being very controlling. Once or twice she would take a walk out at night, normally just wandering around parks or just somewhere empty. Even occasionally into a random nightclub. Lately she’d been doing it more due to the pressure on her, often leaving her tired alot. All she wanted was something exciting to happen in her life. Wandering around in Gotham at night seemed a good way for that to happen, considering the crime rate lately. It was more stupid than anything else, it was lucky something awful hadn’t happened to her.
Her internship at Arkham Asylum gave her something to look forward to, apparently it was going to hold the most criminally insane.
What could be more exciting than that?

Habitual Remarks:

Other Remarks: She is a dog person. She loves Lana Del Rey (As Harleen). Has a thick accent, but hides it.
Her Mother works closely with Hugo Strange.

HARVEY BULLOCK
Age: 42
Full Name: Harvey Bullock
Alter Ego: None
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 248 lbs

Play-by: Donal Logue

Affiliation: Hero-ish
Organization(s):
  • Gotham City Police Department

[div class="ContentPersonality"]
Skills: Harvey is trained in basic hand-to-hand combat, and often can get the upper hand on opponents through sheer bulk alone. He carries a standard issue handgun in his police work. He's a decidedly mediocre investigator and detective, capable of some deduction, but often drawing on others' capabilities. His main resource in investigative work is drawing from years of experience, having seen and heard of many bizarre crime cases in his time at the GCPD. Thanks to that same experience, Gotham's many odd occurrences don't usually faze Harvey.
Personality: Harvey Bullock is a model of "just good enough" and "don't rock the boat". While generally well-meaning and far from malicious, Harvey is unwilling to put in any more effort than he needs to in combating crime. At this point in his life, he sees police work as little more than a job, and the increase of Gotham's crime rate as an inevitability. Typically, Harvey must be prompted by his partner, Jim Gordon, to pursue justice any further than absolutely necessary.

Despite his world-weariness, Harvey retains a affection for Gotham and his work. He maintains a gruff, apathetic persona for practical purposes, but nonetheless can be sentimental and caring given the right circumstances. Harvey is particularly fond of Jim, as much as he thinks his partner pursues justice too doggedly for his own good. For all the rumblings in the GCPD about Harvey being dirty, he would never abandon a fellow officer, nor leave Jim to handle his crusades alone.

Habitual Remarks: "Dammit, Jim."

Other Remarks: Harvey owns two cats, Cinnamon and Sprinkles.
[/div][div class="ContentHistory hidden"]
Harvey is a born and raised Gothamite. He grew up in a poor family, like most in Gotham, and learned the streets out of necessity. Where to go, where to avoid, the best food carts, who he could put in work for to get some extra cash. All the while, Harvey saw crime and he saw the officers who fought it in a never ending battle. It was never necessarily his goal to become a cop, but that ultimately became his best option for a long-term career.

He started a wide-eyed rookie, not much education, but plenty of motivation. Too much motivation. Harvey quickly figured out that few at the GCPD were interested in much beyond protecting themselves and their families. While his motivation to do everything he could to fight crime wasn't immediately diminished, over time it was whittled out of him. One murder case abandoned here, a mugging ignored there, and all too soon Harvey was just as cynical as most everyone else at the department. He would have much sooner stayed at the department and eaten donuts than put in effort to stop crime.

Only recently when partnered with Jim Gordon has Harvey started showing a consistent semblance of caring. While still the "bad cop" of the two, Harvey has been pushed to, at least, uphold some standards of the law.

JONATHAN CRANE
Age: 40
Full Name: Jonathan Crane
Alter Ego: Scarecrow
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Homosexual
Height: 6'0
Weight: 140 lbs

Play-by: DJ Qualls

Affiliation: Villain
Organization(s):
  • Arkham Asylum

[div class="ContentPersonality"]
Skills

Jonathan's first line of defense is and has always been his mind. He is genius in intellect and formally educated, formerly holding a Ph.D in psychology and a Master's degree in biochemistry. The experience in the former has given him proficient ability to psychologically analyze patients and even the general population. The latter allowed him to create a chemical mixture that can be used to induce fear in mammals. Both endeavors were developed with the intent to further the study of fear and anxiety in an effort to allow people to control their fear more effectively. In recent years, Jonathan has largely used his capabilities and inventions for less pure, sometimes offensive purposes.

While his physical strength is exceptionally low as Gotham heroes and rogues go, Jonathan has trained himself in both his personal martial art, violent dancing, and the wielding of various farm tools as melee weapons, particularly his scythe. It took much effort for him to master the use of these tools (even disemboweling himself accidentally while practicing with his scythe), Jonathan can use them with reasonable efficiency now. Just to be safe, though, he'll also typically carry a handgun should that become the best means of defending himself.

His costume is made of a burlap-like leather material, and the mask integrates an oxygen filter. While Crane is immune to his own fear toxin due to heavy exposure, he prefers to not take the chance exposing himself to any toxic gas. His preferred method of fear toxin delivery is via his syringe gauntlet, but it also can come in gaseous or aerosol form with a variety of delivery methods.

Despite his malicious and criminal tendencies, Jonathan is an excellent teacher and genuinely enjoys passing on his knowledge to younger generations. He was a generally well-liked professor at Gotham University until he was fired over bringing a gun into a classroom and nearly taking a student's eye out.

Personality

In civilized situations, Jonathan considers himself and acts as a dignified, educated gentleman. He holds himself up straight and speaks with decorum, albeit, sometimes with a healthy dose of sarcasm at times. Even when committing great acts of cruelty, Jonathan typically retains his ordinary attitude. Jonathan considers his experimentation on unwitting citizens of Gotham to be a somewhat regrettable necessity in furthering his research.

Upon putting on his Scarecrow mask and costume, Jonathan will often unhinge his personality for the sake of intimidation. He takes on a bombastic facade, and, with the help of fear toxin, can frighten almost anyone for any reason. Sometimes this terror is for research purposes, sometimes for defense or offense, and sometimes simply for fun.

In his downtime, Jonathan enjoys reading, jazz music, and jigsaw puzzles.

Other Remarks Jonathan has a free-roaming crow named Craw as a frequent companion.

[/div][div class="ContentHistory hidden"]
Jonathan was born in Arlen, Georgia. His father had abandoned him and his mother prior to his birth, and his mother took off shortly thereafter, leaving Jonathan to be raised by his abusive grandmother, Marion. He was sometimes beaten, often starved, and on one occasion, locked in a chapel with frenzied crows, leaving him with a fear of the birds that he'd only overcome much later. While he did well in school, Jonathan was often tormented by his classmates, particularly the couple Bo Griggs and Sherry Squires, the latter of whom had rejected him previously. Jonathan ultimately dressed as a ghastly scarecrow and crashed his school's senior prom, sending Bo and Sherry running terrified to their car, and prompting them to crash, killing Bo and paralyzing Sherry. Thus whetted Jonathan's appetite for violence and cruelty.

Post high school, Jonathan received a scholarship to attend Gotham University as a Psychology major. There, he finally felt in the company of intellectual equals. He bonded with both fellow students and professors over their studies. In particular, he became close with the head professor of Psychology at the time. While they both were excellent psychologists, the two ultimately disagreed on the role of fear in human psychology. Even after Jonathan earned his degree, he was still dismissed and his ideas ignored. Feeling scorned and betrayed, Crane turned to chemistry for answers. He created his fear toxin, and exposed his colleague too it, accidentally inducing a heart attack and killing the man in the process. While killing hadn't been Crane's intent, he felt only minor regret and gladly took up the position as GU's head of psychology, implementing the emphasis on fear in psychology that he'd been pushing for so long.

While an accomplished and well-liked professor among students, Jonathan soon became a controversial figure. His methods of teaching psychology often sparked debate for being "too intense" and quite possibly dangerous. The straw that broke the camel's back involved Jonathan taking a gun into one of his classes, and discharging to to break a flower pot, showing the body's immediate reaction to fear. A shard of the pot very nearly took one student's eye out, however, and the university staff finally had an excuse to fire Jonathan once and for all.

Since then, Jonathan has been hired into working at Arkham Asylum as a psychologist and pharmacist. While he remains controversial in the psychology community, not much can be proven about the true extent of his cruelty yet

James Gordon
Gender: Male
Age: 36
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Height: 5'9

Weight: 188 lbs
Play-by: Ben McKenzie
Affilation: Hero
Organization: Gotham City Police Department

Skills: A former soldier with the Marines, Gordon is familiar with weapons besides the standard service pistol, and knows how to fight in close quarters, and other police skills like room clearing to a slightly higher degree than other officers. His detective skills and impressive, coming his determination to look for anything that might be a clue, even when most others may stop. He can be a persuasive person, and definitely has some leadership potential in him.

Personality: James Gordon is the living embodiment of wanting to do what is right for the people of Gotham. He worked his hardest on every case, even when others, lookin at you, Harv, felt like giving up. His has a sort of stubborn determination and iron will, not allowing anything, or anyone, to stop him from doing his job. He is protective, and willing to put his life on the line for others.

He still believes there is good in the world, and I the GCPD, even if it doesn't show. Idealistic at best, insane at worst when it comes to ousting corruption in the GCPD, not that he has done much there, far too focused on the crime wave.

History: James Gordon, a recent Marine Corp veteran, returns to Gotham to very much find it isn't the same. Crime was rising at this time, not at the high it is now, and he thought he might be able to help slow it. He was wrong. A rookie detective signed on with Harvey Bullock, soon realized that the precient wasn't nearly as motivated as they should be. There were long nights, caffeine fueled days, and very few respites between the two, and crime was still slowly rising.

His failed attempts didn't stop him, however. It only drove him to push the others in the GCPD to help stop this thing, starting first with his partner, to varying degrees of success. Being a one and a half man army in a world where crime was rising by the percent daily, and murder seemed to be on every corner, it only fueled his determination more.

[div class="ContentPersonality"]
Skills: Hand to Hand Combat - Jack is by no means a martial arts master, but despite his timid demeanor, he can hold his own in a fight. Considering where he lives, he has to be able to defend himself in some way should he get mugged in an alleyway.

Firearms - By no means an expert marksman, Jack still felt the need to get some gun training purely as a method of self defense.

Chemistry - Currently working as a Lab Assistant at ACE Chemicals, Jack does know a thing or two about different substances and their reactions with one another...funny...one day by himself, he actually came up with a chemical reaction that could...force a smile on someone's face? But of course he has no reason to use that...right?

Personality: Jack is known by many to be a very passive and mousey person. He doesn't talk much, and tries his best to avoid conversation all together. This is in part due to his particularly rough childhood. Suffering both physical and verbal abuse at the hands of his father guaranteed that Jack would grow up to be an introverted mess of a man, never speaking up for himself, if he even spoke at all. This completely contrasts the kind of person his mother says he was as a child. Jack's mother before her untimely death always praised her son as such an outgoing and happy boy, even in the worst of times. Despite his timid nature however, Jack is known to have small outbursts from time to time...be they fearful, happy, sad, angry, at random moments, mostly when he's under stress, he'll lash out, not really coming to his senses until after the act has already been committed. All Jack knows for sure is he's been suppressing something...something dark. In those moments where he feels like he just can't take the weight of the world on his shoulders, he remembers a word of advice his mother gave him just before she passed. "Remember Jack...even in the darkest of times...just laugh give the mean old world a nice big smile."
Habitual Remarks: "I...I just wanna make people laugh."

Other Remarks: I sort of homebrewed a few things to try and keep it in line with the RP before the security system activates while also setting up for that Killing Joke origin. I hope that's ok! If there's anything about my sheet that you want me to change, please let me know!
[/div][div class="ContentHistory hidden"]
Jack has lived in Gotham for his entire life, spending the brunt of his childhood living in the slums with his mother and father. To say that life wasn't kind to them would be an understatement. The Napiers had to scrimp and save just to survive, skipping dinner three nights a week just to have enough money to pay to rent their barely livable apartment. Jack's father was not a kind man, in fact, he was downright cruel. He was one of the many crazy alcoholics polluting Gotham's streets, blowing job interview after job interview due to his increasingly problematic addiction to the bottle. In fact, when Jack's father did have a job, most of the money went to fueling his addiction rather than actually trying to provide for his wife and child. Jack's like wasn't all drunken beatings, however. His mother loved her little boy dearly, and did the best she could to make sure he would live a happy, carefree life, despite the circumstances he was brought up in. Jack's happiest memory in fact was the night the three of them went to the Circus in Gotham's Amusement Mile. Jack's favorite act of the night were the troupe of Clowns, running around in their oversized shoes and baggy clothes. It was also the happiest Jack had ever seen his father, who was laughing uproariously at the outrageous sight of the performers. It was at that moment Jack figured out what he wanted to do with his life. He wanted to make people laugh.

Years later as an adult, Jack spent the brunt of his college years studying performance, comedy especially. Things were looking up for Jack. He was achieving high marks in his college courses, and even found love in one of his classmates, named Julia. Jack was hopelessly devoted to her, vowing to never leave her side, even when she turned up pregnant. Wanting to do the right thing, Jack married Julia right out of college, promising to provide for her, and their soon to be child. Currently living in his childhood apartment (his only inheritance), Jack is doing the best he can to try and make it as a comedian. Audition after Audition, Open Mic Night after Open Mic Night, he still hasn't achieved his big break. Jack's nerves always get the better of him and he always ends up messing up a punchline or forgetting a joke entirely. Needing to provide for his pregnant wife, Jack took up a chemists' job at ACE Chemicals, which just so happens to be a company owned by that bigwig Oswald Cobblepot. Even this job wasn't enough to provide, however. Jack is beginning to get desperate...he's heard rumors from his fellow coworkers about this nefarious Penguin Crime Organization looking to pay big money for anyone willing to work a certain job...All the while, the stress of this situation is causing something to awaken within Jack...what it is, he doesn't know...will he be able to wade his way through this madness? Or will he succumb to yet another bad day...?

Age: 28
Full Name: Bruce Thomas Wayne
Alter Ego: Batman
Gender: Male

Weight: 200 lbs.

Play-by: Wes Bentley

Affiliation: Hero
Organization(s): Wayne Enterprises

Skills:
(Batman has so many skills that I'm just gonna take everything he has from the Wiki. It would take way too long for me to name them all.)
  • Peak Human Conditioning: Through intense training, specialized diet, and biofeedback treatments, The Batman represented the pinnacle of human physical prowess. His physical attributes is at the natural limits far above than that of an Olympic level athlete that has ever competed. His strength, speed, stamina, agility, reflexes, and endurance are at the peak of human perfection. Batman began his physical conditioning when he was 10 years old and have done more intense physical training and weight lifting at age 12. He had mastered full body control by the time he was 18. Bruce Wayne, since the age of 15, has created a strict diet to enable his body to develop and operate at its most proficient, along with biofeedback treatments (using portable/non-portable machines to stimulate muscles to contraction). Batman being able to perform amazing physical feats is due to his superior physique. He engaged in an intensive regular regimen of rigorous exercise (including aerobics, weight lifting, gymnastics, and simulated combat) to keep himself in peak condition, and has often defeated opponents whose size, strength, or other powers greatly exceeded his own. He has spent his entire life in pursuit of physical perfection and has attained it through constant intensive training and determination. His conditioning has been restored and further improved in terms of strength, speed, stamina, durability, reflexes, and vitality following his exposure to the Dionesium Formula.
    • Peak Human Strength: In terms of brute strength, Batman is one of the strongest humans alive. He can break steel chains and cuffs with relative ease, support a ceiling that weighed 1000 lbs over his head, and rip steel metal bars apart with his hands. This strength also extends to his legs allowing him to jump high up and far forward without a running start. Batman has demonstrated enough strength to overpower dozens of men at once, effortlessly lifting a full grown man in the air with one arm, and throwing them several meters on multiple occasions, he even punched a SWAT officer through a brick wall. Deathstroke who is a enhanced human once stated that Batman "hits harder than most beings with superhuman strength." During his exercise regimes, he could bench-press 1 Ton (more or less). Using highly effective muscle control, Batman can apply near superhuman force in his physical attacks, able to overpower Killer Croc and the Venom enhanced Bane (despite their superior strength).
    • Peak Human Reflexes: Batman's reflexes are near superhuman, and is far superior to normal humans. He is able to quickly react to instantaneously to simultaneous attacks from multiple enemies and dodge rapid gunfire at point-blank range, though he can get hit if there are to many to evade. Bruce's reflexes were honed to such a degree that he has caught one of Green Arrow's arrows in mid flight from behind when he tried to shoot him.
    • Peak Human Speed: He can run and move at speeds comparable to the finest human athletes. In combat he is extremely agile and evasive, supplementing his strength with sheer speed to defeat his enemies, he could even match the master assassin Deathstroke's superhuman speed in combat. With noticeable effort he once caught up to a speeding car with gadgets.
    • Peak Human Durability: His muscles and bones are much more harder and denser than average humans, augmented by his iron forged will power allow him to tolerate massive amount of physical pain. His physique which is rigorously trained to the uttermost human limit and is extremely tough and resistant to damage, allow him to survived dangers that would have killed most other people. He is able to withstand being stabbed and shot multiple times, as well as hits from superhumans such as Killer Croc and Bane (even with Venom). Also Batman seems to be resistant to the blunt trauma of high falls such as falling a couple stories from a building.
    • Peak Human Stamina: Bruce's highly trained and developed body generates considerably less fatigue toxins than the musculature of most humans, enabling him to gain exceptional endurance and lung capacity. His stamina is comparable to that of the absolute finest human athlete. He has shown a lung capacity feat that is so great that he can hold his breath underwater for over 7 minutes. In his early days he once fought in a gauntlet for 28 hours straight before collapsing from exhaustion. Batman has demonstrated exercising extensively with a rigorous training regime that lasted 1 hour, yet wasn't nearly satisfied. He can exert himself at peak capacity without slowing down for several hours before showing signs of fatigue or began tiring.
    • Peak Human Agility: His agility is greater than that of a Chinese acrobat and superior to an Olympic-level athlete gymnast. He can coordinate his body with flawless balance, flexibility, and dexterity. His main phase of movement is Parkour which he learned in France and uses it to scale the cities rooftops in an acrobatic manner. He is capable of completing a triple somersault.
    • Peak Human Healing: Batman's natural healing speed and efficiency are at the highest limits of human potential, which means he can heal much faster than normal humans, he is able to heal broken bones, fractures, torn muscles, gunshot, knife, puncture wounds and other major injuries all within very few weeks and minor injuries like cuts, scrapes and burns within a few hours to days. His immune system fights off all known microbes, infections, diseases, disorders, illnesses, sicknesses, poisons, toxins, drugs, etc. far better than normal, and his healing time is very short, as he recovered from a broken back in a few weeks.
    • Peak Human Senses: Through meditation Batman's five senses are pushed at the highest limits of human perfection; meaning that his sense of sight, touch, hearing, smell and taste are naturally enhanced and are very keen. At one time he was able to hear a sniper load his weapon from across the street a block over. His enhanced senses make him extremely alert to danger.
  • Indomitable Will: He has no known superhuman powers, but he does have an almost superhuman "force of will". Batman's unstoppable determination, sense of discipline and morale, and strength of will make him an extremely formidable opponent. This makes him able to function while tolerating massive amounts of physical pain, and also allows him to resist telepathy or mind control. His willpower is strong enough to operate a Green Lantern Ring when necessary.
  • Intimidation: It is widely known that Batman has the ability to instill fear in others, even the people that know him best are intimidated by him. Even those who aren't afraid of the likes of Superman fear Batman. His ability to inspire great fear made him eligible for induction into the Sinestro Corps, although he was able to fight off the power ring's control.
  • Expert Inquisitor: Batman is adept in the use of interrogation techniques, employing anything from law enforcement methods to outright torture. Several techniques have been seen, include hanging a person over the edge of a building by one leg or chaining a person upside down and beating them. He usually just plain uses his frightening appearance to get answers. "Fear is an excellent motivator" he once said."
  • Expert Acrobat: Proficient in gymnastics and acrobatics, to the peak of human ability. He is particularly skilled in parkour and free running.
  • Master Martial Artist: Batman is one of the finest human combatants Earth has ever known. He was trained around the world for years to master multiple martial arts. Master Kirigi stated to Bruce that he is a natural genius in fighting due to "his great violent nature inside of him". Even Karate Kid of the future was very surprised that Bruce adapted and learned future-style combat in seconds that he never even experienced. He has completely mastered all unarmed hand-to hand combat styles of martial arts including MMA, Muay Thai, Escrima, Krav Maga, Capoeira, Savate, Yawyan, Taekwondo, Judo, Jui-jitsu, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Ninjutsu, Kendo, Fencing, Kenjutsu, Kali, Bojutsu, Wrestling, Francombat, Boxing, Kickboxing, Hapkido, Sambo, Wing Chun, Parkour, Shorin Ryu, Silat, Chin Na, Kyudo, Aikido, Varma Ati, Jeet Kune Do, Shaolin, Ba Gua, Hung Gar, Tai Chi, Kung Fu, Kenpo, and Karate. His primary form of combat is a harmonious mixture of Jui-jitsu, Taekwondo, Judo, Muay Thai, Savate, Karate, Kung Fu, Boxing, Capoeira, Krav Maga, Aikido, and Ninjutsu.
  • Weapon Master: Through his martial arts training, he has become an expert on virtually all types of weaponry. He is an exceptional swordsman as evident in his fight with Ra's al Ghul, his proficiency in Jui Jitsu can proclaim his swordsmanship skill. Proficient with most melee weapons because of his mastery of Okinawan Kobudo. He was trained and became extremely proficient in all arms. He soon learned expanded melee weapon techniques and he has learned expanded weapon/device sciences. He still practices during his combat sessions to keep his skills intact, though he prefers unarmed combat.
  • Master of Guerrilla Warfare: His advanced and extensive Ninjutsu and law enforcement training has made him a master at stealth, espionage, infiltration, and sabotage. Bruce is capable of breaching very high-security facilities with ease and without being detected. Batman's stealth prowess he is capable of breaking into a top-secret base a mile under Gotham City and even the infamous Area 51 completely unnoticed. He has proven to be very familiar with military protocols, as he anticipated and countered law enforcement and paratrooper tactics and strategies.
  • Expert Marksman: Due in part to his training in Ninjutsu, Batman almost never misses his targets, 9/10 times he's successful. Bruce is an expert marksman that is skilled with throwing projectile weapons, archery and firearms. He has been practicing such skills since the early days of his training and is almost on par with the Green Arrow in terms of accuracy and precision. He was shown to be able to hit a light switch on from a distance with a batarang.
  • Genius-Level Intellect: (Batman's IQ is possibly well over 200) Batman is a brilliant, virtually peerless, detective, strategist, scientist, tactician, and commander; he is widely regarded as one of the keenest analytical minds on the planet. Given his lack of superpowers, he often uses cunning and planning to outwit his foes, rather than simply "out-fighting" them. Due to his mental training and being naturally gifted he has acquired an an instant learning aptitude, parallel multitasking, eidetic/photographic memory, accelerated reading, and a more powerful memory.
    • Polymath: He has studied Biology, Technology, Mathematics, Physics, Mythology, Geography, & History. Gained degrees in Criminal Science, Forensics, Computer Science, Chemistry, and Engineering by the time he was 21. He has mastered Diverse Environmental Training, Security Systems, and illusion/sleight of hand by the time he was 23. He gained even more degrees in Biology, Physics, Advanced Chemistry, and Technology by the time he was 25. He has learned Forensic, Medical Sciences, Expanded Computer and Engineering Sciences, and Expanded Device Pool use of personal powered armor and system, database creation on underworld crime bosses, rogue's gallery foes and other supers; improved material sciences for body armor and micro-machinery by the time he was 26. Has also learned Advanced New Development in Forensic and Medical Sciences.
  • Master Detective: He is considered as the "World's Greatest Detective", almost without peer. Bruce is capable of observation, forensic investigation, and inductive and deductive reasoning of the highest caliber. Human intuition is an unlearnable trait and one of Batman's most effective tools. Given any mystery, he can arrive at any conclusions with a fraction of the data.
  • Multilingualism: He is extremely fluent in English, Spanish, Japanese, German, Russian, French, Latin, Cantonese, Mandarin, and possibly more.
  • Master Tactician & Strategist: He commonly utilizes cunning tactics to outwit his foes. He is an excellent leader and at times commands the Justice League and the Outsiders. He is an excellent leader and at times commands the Justice League and the Outsiders, Batman is known as one of (if not the greatest) the strategists and tacticians in the DC universe.
  • Master Escapologist: He has been described as second only to Mister Miracle as an escape artist. He has been seen escaping from a posey straitjacket in less than 52 seconds, and remarked afterwards that the time was way too slow for him.
  • Expert Pilot: Has been seen flying the various versions of the Batplanes with ease and flying a helicopter.
  • Expert Tracker: Trained in hunting techniques by African Bushmen (the Ghost Tribes of the Ten-eyed Brotherhood, among others).
  • Master of Disguise: Has mastered the art of disguise by the time he was 23. Has further learned Expanded Disguise techniques by the time he was 26. Batman has many aliases he uses to infiltrate the underworld or just to go undercover in public situations. His current aliases are: Matches Malone, Thomas Quigley, Ragman, Detective Hawke, Sir Hemingford Grey, Lester Krutz, Frank Dixon, Gordon Selkirk, and Mr. Fledermaus.
  • Expert Mechanic and Driver: Batman is proficient at combat driving. He has also pioneered improved vehicle designs. In addition, he has been trained and is proficient in basic vehicular operations.
  • Micro Sleep: Batman has mastered the art of power-naps and evolved it into what he calls micro sleep. Although these sleeps are longer in duration (1 hour), they would be more replenishing and much harder to wake up from. Batman has also been shown to be capable of going up to almost 80 hours with no sleep at all.

  • Peak Human Strength: Batman engages in an intensive exercise regimen, and because of this his strength, like all other physical attributes, are at the peak of human perfection. He can press/lift close to 1000 lbs, and has in some cases demonstrated enough strength to rip steel bars from their moorings, and snap high-strength handcuffs with ease.

Personality: Bruce, despite being a millionaire playboy, is a broken, shattered man. The death of his parents has caused him to develop several mental disorders, some of them being sociopathic tendencies and OCD. He's isolated himself in Wayne Manor, only going out when he needs to, and refusing interviews. He's slowly becoming disgusted with Gotham, with the corruption it has. He wants to make them feel the fear he felt when his parents died tenfold, ahd to breathe easy when the sun rose over Gotham.

Background: Bruce Thomas Wayne was born the sole heir to the prestigious Wayne family, and to Wayne Enterprises itself. He used to be a bright, cheerful boy, ready to be like his parents and clean Gotham up. But that didn't go to plan. You see, the Wayne's weren't very well liked in the criminal underworld, and so a hitman named Joe Chill was sent to kill Thomas Wayne. Thing is, he killed both of them, the man's psycosis driving him mad on the spot. Bruce was never the same, of course. Losing his parents caused something to...change inside Bruce. Almost as of he wasn't even the same person anymore. For the next twenty years, he vigorously trained every single miniscule part about himself to it's absolute limit. For years he travelled the globe, learning and mastering every martial art he found, learned escapism from the best in the business, and learned how to control his body to the point of heating up a tub full of ice.

After all that, he went back to Gotham. He tried and failed sevevral times to clean the underworld with fake disguises. Then, as if by fate, his life changed again. While bleeding out in his chair, a bat flew through the window. Then Bruce knew what he had to do. He used to be afraid of bats when he was a child, and to be the man he wanted to be, he would have to channel that fear onto criminals. He would become the Batman. His methods were, at first, very brutal. He never killed, but he wasn't above torture or badly injuring someone with no second thought. He also seems very out of his league, as he hasn't gotten used to his duties as Batman yet.

And he also has basic hand to hand combat skills he learned to avoid a situation where he'd be getting mugged in an alley.
Personality:
Despite his rough upbringing, Harvey chooses to look on the brighter side of things and be an optimist. Despite all of it's flaws and crime, Harvey see's the good in Gotham City and it's people, hoping that people like those working in the Gotham City Police Department can clean it up.
He works hard at his job and thorougly enjoys it as he believes that with his position he can be one of the people to help clean up the crime.
Though, he does have a darker side to him that he tries to keep hidden. A more aggressive side he gained throughout his childhood. A voice that whispers to him horrible ideas that he wants no part of. This is something he keeps under wrap for many reasons including to keep his shining public image.

Habitual Remarks: "It's not about wrong, or right. It's about what's fair."

Other Remarks: Harvey always carries his double-headed coin on him and sometimes flips it when he thinks

Harvey Dent was born into a life of hardship. Growing up in a lower-class family, Dent was raised with an instinctive dislike and mistrust for the upper-class. His violent, cruel and mentally ill father frequently bullied and abused him as a child, with his favorite game being flipping his double-headed coin promising to spare the child a beating if the coin landed tails. These harsh surroundings resulted in Dent developing repressed mental illnesses of his own, such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. His hard work ethic, however, allowed him to rise to become a lawyer and, eventually, the District Attorney.

Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Height: 5'7
Weight: 54kg

Play-by: Evan Rachel Wood

Affiliation: Villain

Skills:
-Amelia has a high level of intelligence and is a master manipulator.
-She is also a skilled thief and is capable of cold blooded murder if it she deems it necessary.
-Trained in self defence she has above average fighting skills.

Personality:
Amelia is a manipulative and enigmatic woman and will do whatever it takes to get what she wants. Not caring who gets hurts in process.

But if you just met her you’d think she was quite charming, although it was mostly with glib. Soon enough she could become cold and fierce, but when it came to Oswald, she could show her emotional side. It was quite easy for her to trick other people, as hiding behind a ‘mask’ so to speak, is what she had done for a lot of her life. After her breakdown she finally felt like her true self.

Habitual Remarks:

[/div][div class="ContentHistory hidden"]

Amelia grew up in quite a normal household with rich parents. Although she had normal childhood and was very well educated having everything in life handed to her on a plate. This eventually caused her to rebel against that lifestyle and cause trouble. Starting out with small things and growing from there, she acquired a taste for the dark side of life and fell in with the wrong crowd. It didn’t matter what she did her parents always bailed her out of whatever(only when she got caught), regardless of how much of a problem child she was, they loved her greatly.
Somewhere along the way she met Oswald Cobblepot.

The two were seemingly perfect for each other. Everything was going great until Amelia started coaxing him into doing bad deeds with her. Something worse every time, he went along with everything blinded by young love. Until one fateful night, when Amelia took things a little too far.

She and her criminal posse kidnapped a man who owed her parents a lot of money and planned to beat him to a pulp. Just show his him a tough lesson not to mess with her family. Unleashing a side of her Oswald had never seen. It was too much for the young Penguin and he broke up her on the spot, heartbroken. This wasn’t the man he wanted to be. He left and she never saw him again.

After this Amelia started to break down, taking her rage out of the captured man, beating him to the brink of death. Losing more of slipping sanity, unbeknownst to her the cops her hot on the trail.
They arrived before the man was dead and arrested the devastated, rage filled woman.
Once again her parents bailed her out of trouble, but let her know this was the last time and they couldn’t support her or her criminal antics anymore. This dragged her further down into her downward spiral. Shortly after this one of her close friends involved with the kidnapping was brutally murdered, everything was too much and something snapped inside of her. Amelia hunted the murderer down, killing him herself disturbing calmly with zero remorse.

Using her self taught skills she stole a large amount of her parents money and up and left, far away from Gotham.
Isolating herself from everyone she had known, cutting of her hair and turning to life of full time crime for kicks.

One day a newspaper caught her eye, well more the person on it.
Her old flame Oswald had become a big hotshot in Gotham, then and there she decided to go pay him a visit.

Dick Grayson

Age: 8

Full Name: Richard John Grayson

Alter Ego: Robin (in future)

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Height: 4'3

Weight: 92 lbs

Play-by: Ian Nelson

Affiliation: Hero

Organization(s): Haly's Circus; Batman (future)

[div class="ContentPersonality"]
Skills: Dick has a surprising amount of talents for one his age, though most it is simply potential waiting to be tapped. His most prominent and unique skill however, is his acrobatic talents. He was practically raised on the high wire, and is simply a natural when it comes to acrobatics, and so he is quite skilled with it. While he has not yet learned how to incorporate his acrobatic talents when it comes to combat, he does use his skills to move around more easily and for his own enjoyment, or to show off, so that he'll rather leap, flip, or cartwheel impressively up or down a flight of stairs rather than just walking. He also is very quick and lithe, and physically fit, so that he could at least be able to escape a confrontation fairly easily if there ever was one that he had to. Dick has rudimentary detective skills as well, or rather just good observation skills for now, since due to his intelligence he would be able to piece things out or figure something out fairly capably. And for the last, Dick is very adaptable, able to take in a situation quickly and adapt to it if need be, while thinking fast. It is all these rudimentary and novice skills that are waiting to bloom, that can eventually be shaped into something more.
Personality: Dick Grayson is a bright, upbeat young boy, who can often be distinguished by his youthful energy and wide eyed observation of things. He almost always can give energy to a room, quite enjoying the spotlight. Dick is a born performer because of this, having a smart and quick sense of humor, even though the quips and jokes he makes are often quite cheesy. He is usually quite optimistic, still having a rather bright view of the world, even though he is aware of how terrible it can be. He still strives to be positive in spite of that, though he is by no means blinded, even if he is naive. Dick knows that the world can be a horrible place, with very bad people, but he still wants to do his part to try to make it a better one. He has always felt the urge to help others when they are in need, even though he doesn't exactly know how to do so quite yet, and also has a strong sense of justice.

Dick is also very curious, always observing anything new or exciting with fascination and delight. He loves to experience new things, and take risks. Often this reckless risk taking can land him into trouble or even get him hurt, but he continues to exercise this trait quite often, no matter the situation, though if it is something extremely dangerous that he's up against, he'll probably slow down to actually think about it a moment and consider the situation before proceeding. While he isn't outwardly the most mature person there is, he is very emotionally mature, and in tune with others' emotions. He is quite outgoing, and can connect to people very well if he tries, which he usually does, most of the time being very supportive and understanding in whatever relationship he is a part of. He'll always see the best in people, though, by extension, he can also be aware of their worst.

Dick's more negative traits are, most of all, his temper, and his tendency to boldly speak his mind, no matter what's on it. He has quite a bit of pride, so if someone insults or belittles him in any way, his temper will take over, and he'll just as hostile and annoyed. While in casual situations the boy is usually quite laid back and friendly, something happening that seems unfair to him or those he cares about causes him to immediately express his frustration, and even try to do something about it. Because of this, Dick can sometimes be impetuous or disobedient to authority, if he thinks what they're enforcing or saying isn't right or fair. His stubbornness knows no bounds, as he'll never give up on something once setting his mind on it, even when told to. He is also very reckless, usually without much heed to his own safety, especially if he's putting himself into danger for other people or a cause.

Dick can be very perfectionistic and hard on himself, becoming frustrated with himself if he fails at anything too many times, and usually will not settle for anything less than perfect, or at least extremely close. If he makes a mistake or if something goes wrong, and anyone is hurt because of it, he will almost always blame himself for what happened, and feel extremely guilty. Dick has a tendency to ignore his own emotional issues and rather focuses on the ones of others, pushing any of his own emotions deep inside and never really dealing with his ssues or addressing them, until they eventually boil over from being bottled up inside too long, and he ends up taking them out either on someone else, or his own self.

After the death of Dick's parents, understandably his young mind will be scarred and traumatized, and he will be in a very dark place. He will both blame himself for what happened and not having done something, anything, and have a deep determination to make sure his parents' murderer can be brought to justice so that he can have his revenge, for what the man did to his family. Dick will be set down this path, which will only begin to get darker as time goes on, and is the path a certain Dark Knight himself has walked. The boy will be confused, hurt, and grief stricken, unwilling to open up to anyone anymore due to feeling like they couldn't possibly understand how he felt, so lost and alone, with only the thought of justice and revenge guiding him. But those positive traits which still make him what he is are still there, buried underneath all the hurt and sorrow.

And if he can somehow find comfort and support on the world that he is now alone in, and even an outlet for all of his pent up emotions and desire for justice and to help others, those traits will gradually begin to show themselves once more, as he will be able to move on past his own tragedy, and embrace a whole new life of excitement and adventure.

Habits/Quirk(s): Dick will often act quite restless when in an otherwise boring situation or conversation, and so will make little gestures to quietly express this, such as subtly tapping his foot on the ground, rolling back and forth on the balls of his heels, and blowing at some unruly hair that might fall in front of his face. He will often do a cartwheel or a flip whenever extremely excited about something, and whenever he's extremely tired and his energy is all burnt out for the day, he'll often fall asleep in random places, sometimes even when sitting up, as long as the place is even a semblence of comfortable. He'll also either clench his fists or noiselessly pound them together whenever extremely serious or upset about something, and puff out his chest and try to stand as tall as possible, even on his tiptoes, whenever someone is condescending to him or judging him because of his age.

Richard Grayson was born to John and Mary Grayson, two acrobats that performed in Haly's Circus. He had a pretty positive upbringing, being raised not only by his loving parents but also by his extended family in the circus. The boy began to follow in his parents' footsteps and train in acrobatics at a very young age, taking to it naturally, and even being nicknamed by his mother "her little robin" due to the way he nearly seemed to fly while doing some of his acrobatic, or like he dearly wanted to. And so, Dick was soon performing alongside his parents by the age of 7. The little family was known as the Flying Graysons for their astonishing and extraordinary acrobatic feats, nearly all of which they performed without a safety net to catch them if they fell. For a while Dick had a fairly happy childhood for the most part, delighted with his eventful and rather exciting life as part of a traveling circus, and content with his life with his parents. Unfortunately, soon this childhood would be forever torn away from him at the age of 8 and a half, during one of the circus's stops at a large metropolitan city, Gotham City.

The boy was playing around outside one of the circus trailers while everyone was unloading and setting up, when suddenly he heard loud shouting coming from inside the trailer. He got closer to listen, and heard the owner of the circus, Mr. Haly, arguing with another man, who was a total stranger. The stranger, who was apparently named Tony Zucco, was from one of the many gangs that were skulking around the city, and was threatening the circus owner to pay him protection money, to avoid from any 'accidents' that might occur otherwise. Mr. Haly refused, throwing out the strange, threatening man, and leaving him to storm away in rage. Dick was confused and a bit unnerved upon witnessing that whole affair, but nevertheless his worry about it soon faded from mind as he spent the rest of the day practicing with his parents for the upcoming performance that night. Many wealthy and influential people were going to attend that night due the circus's coming to the city being sponsored by an extremely wealthy Gotham socialite, and so the show that night had to be especially big, and risk-taking.

That evening, right before his family's act was about to start, Dick glimpsed a strange man exiting the circus tent from near the area where all the ropes and pulleys were located- the same man that had been threatening Mr. Haly earlier. The boy was somewhat alarmed upon seeing this, but before he could explain to his parents what was wrong and what he had seen, they were called into the ring for their performance, and there was no time to tell them. And so, in this way the Graysons' fate was now sealed as all three stepped up to the platform that was high above the ring, their fateful trapeze act about to begin as the anticipation audience looked on, all parties completely unaware of the terrible tragedy that was about to follow.

Roman is trained in boxing, specializing in the southpaw stance that he used to win many matches during his short boxing career. His guns of choice are twin automatic pistols, unassuming at a glance, but devastating. He's fit and capable all around, save for a weak heart.

Roman is an excellent leader, talented in picking the best people and organizing them appropriately. He's similarly talented at managing finances. Much of his job, in fact, is spent pushing papers or planning for the future. He's an experienced tax evader, knowledgeable in how to pay as little as possible to government powers without being caught. In a similar vein, Roman is fluent in both French and Italian in addition to English.

Among his more useful talents are skills that Roman would consider useless in most situations. He plays piano, he's licensed to perform CPR, he knows exactly which fork is to be used with meat and which is to be used with vegetables, and how to cook a decent five course meal so he can show off his perfect etiquette. All of these things were pushed on him at an early age, as "necessities" for elite life. These are talents that Roman prefers to avoid mentioning unless absolutely necessary.

Personality
To most of his employees, Roman is known as a good boss who pays more-than-fairly among Gotham's various employers. To those closer to him, Roman is shrewd, cold, and quick to anger. Roman carefully curates his image depending on the company he's in, to the point where it's difficult to tell who Roman Sionis truly is. His manner of being is somewhat ironic, given his hatred for. One thing Roman seldom hides, however, is a deep-seated disgust for those he thinks of as plebians. Nothing makes him turn his nose up faster than sob stories of junkies who waste cash and opportunities on their vices. He has no time for anyone who refuses to buck up and make something of himself.

Roman is a brilliant strategist, and largely divorced from ethics, a lethal combination in both fights and markets. He feels no remorse in burning a building down if it - and the people inside of it - have become an inconvenience. His brutality comes second only to his strategy.

Other Remarks
Roman has very particular tastes when it comes to food, art, decor, and so on. He's particularly fond of very contemporary interior decorating, complete with smooth edges, glossy wood surfaces, and abstract sculptures and paintings.

[/div][div class="ContentHistory hidden"]
Roman was born to the Gotham elite, among other silver spoon children such as Oswald Cobblepot and Bruce Wayne. Roman, however, resented his family and the lifestyle of lies and facades they'd chosen. He habitually rejected the "friends" his parents tried forcing him to make, and begrudged every music lesson, every finance course, every run-down on how to act in front of certain people and how not to act ever.

Following a trip to the country and a bite from a raccoon, Roman's resentment towards his parents only grew exponentially. The moment he was certain that he could take his father's place in his company, Janus Cosmetics, Roman began to plot against them. The many lessons that they'd forced Roman into would ultimately be what facilitated their deaths.

His stake in Janus secured, or so he thought, Roman staged an arson at his parents' manor, all while he was conveniently not home. His father's shares in the company went to Roman and Roman was prepared to turn the company around. He had much more in mind than makeup. Unfortunately, the stockholders were none-too-pleased at his ideas, and ultimately staged a coup, removing Roman entirely with some exit compensation.

After his ousting, Roman briefly took up a relatively modest lifestyle, keeping any money from insurance and his severance safely in the bank. He started boxing professionally to support himself, all the while planning for a new, better company, one where he would have full control.

His boxing career was short-lived, with a win ratio of 32-7 when he finally decided it was time to step back into the real ring of Gotham. Thus, Sionis Industries was founded on the grounds of restoring at least some of Gotham's faltering industrial production, on top of various side projects, some savory, some less so. Despite his explosive temper, Roman can be extremely patient if he thinks that the pay-off will be worth the wait.

NAME
Age: 27
Full Name: Selina Kyle
Alter Ego: Catwoman
Gender: Female

Height: 5'7
Weight: 138

Play-by: Jaimie Alexander

Affiliation: "Whatever strikes me at the moment." Anti-hero/villain
Organization(s): Unaffiliated

[div class="ContentPersonality"]
Skills: Acrobatic Master - A youth spent in the carnival and thievery has forged Selina into an agile and flexible. Capable of incredible acrobatic feats, Selina puts these skills to use in her acts of thievery. In combat she is nigh untouchable, weaving around most blows as if her opponent is fighting in slow motion. Some have remarked that her skills are superhuman, but as Selina says, "It's all pure skill."

Martial Arts Expert - At a young age Selina learned that the world was a dangerous and cruel place, and Gotham was the cruelest of it all. To this end, she has done everything in her ability to learn how to defend herself. Much to her fortune she attracted the attention of a man known only as the Armless Master. Strange title aside, under his tutelage mastered many schools of martial arts alongside boxing and street fighting. She is clever and resourceful, known for her precise, agile strikes and quick getaways. Her combat skills are only enhanced by her catlike speed, reflexes and flexibility. She has so far mastered Boxing, Capoeira, Hapkido, Jujutsu, Dragon Style Kung Fu and Karate.

Stealth - When it comes to moving unseen Ms. Kyle is at the top of her class, stealthy as any cat on the prowl. She is able to move through large groups unnoticed, and has even been known to get the drop on other vigilantes such is her talent.

Master Thief - If there is an item that Selina desires, there is little that can stop her form attaining it. Catwoman has grown a reputation for breaking into some of the mot secure places in Gotham, stealing all manner of jewelry and sensitive documents, if only for the thrill of it.

Disguise - As a master thief, Selina has learned it is useful to take on the guise of another to pull off a job. She has become a master at changing identity, her disguises varying from an elderly crone to a nightclub goer. The feline thief has so many aliases that even Carmine Falcone failed to discover her real identity.

Feline Empathy - Unsurprisingly Selina has a strong affinity for cats. Feline's tend to flock to her, accepting her immediately as a friend for some strange reason. At times they may even try to come to her defense. While typically useless, this can prove quite useful should a larger cat ever be around.

Personality: If there was one word to describe Selina Kyle, self serving would be it and is a bit of a narcissist. In all things she looks for what serves her interests, everything else is cast to the wayside. Typically what Selina seeks more than anything is a thrill. To feel adrenaline racing through her veins, right at the cusp of death and imprisonment. It is for this reason more than anything else that she steals from high profile and heavily guarded locations. Sure the money is nice, but if there's no challenge in it then what's the point? Because of this desire Selina quite often puts herself in unnecessary danger, but then that's all just part of the fun.

For most of her life Selina has suffered all manner of abuse, starting from her drunken father beating on her and her mother to the carnival master that abused her during her youth, she has learned that no one can be trusted. This has led her to live a rather solitary existence, having no one to call friend other than her myriad of cats. Anyone she does interact with on a regular basis is kept at an arms length, never letting them any closer than is absolutely necessary. It's the only way to ensure she isn't hurt yet again.

Despite her selfish ways, there are moments when her self-serving tendencies slip by the wayside and she does what is right. More often than not this kindness is shown to homeless children, often giving them cash, food or protection whenever she is able to. Though the tries to pass herself off as a bad guy, it's evident that isn't the whole story as she will often do her best to defend the East End and even Gotham should it be threatened.

Habitual Remarks: "My world is all just shades of grey. That's why you'll never understand me."

Other Remarks: Unsurprisingly, Selina has a myriad of feline companions at her home, her favorites being Sir Pounce-A-Lot, Onyx and Lady Whiskers.

Another quirk of Selina's is her deep love for all objects that are related to her feline friends, often stealing artifacts that relate to them in some manner. Her house is absolutely littered with such items.

Typically when she awakes or is tired Selina will stretch like a cat, and seem to has a strong taste for milk and fish. All perfectly normal things, at least that's what she claims.
[/div][div class="ContentHistory hidden"]
A Gothamite all her life, Selina was born into a poor and broken home, though that's nothing special in the city. Her earliest memories were the cries of her mother and her fathers fist brutalizing her. It wasn't long until her mother took her own life, and her father thankfully followed suit relatively quickly. A troubled child, Selina quite often acted out, fighting other children at the orphanage, stealing and pick pocketing. Soon she found herself in one of Gotham's many juvenile facilities, but the youth wasn't content to simply waste away, miraculously escaping the facility to live a free life in the crime ridden streets of Gotham. Arriving at a carnival that was in the area, Selina once more turned to thievery to try and eke out a living. The man in charge was a bit more perceptive than she had imagined. Rather than be turned in to the authorities however, he offered her a place in the circus. With no other prospects and desperate for a place where she could get a warm meal, she accepted.

While it wasn't a good life, Selina learned many skills that would come to be useful in her life later on. As she grew however, so too did the circus masters interest in her. Not willing to suffer abuse again, she fought back, scratching out his eyes before fleeing her temporary home, returning to the streets once more. This time however she had learned a few tricks and skills, allowing her to survive in the unforgiving streets of Gotham. During this time her pick pocketing turned robbing stores and homes, soon earning herself a nice little income. After a few years of struggling to survive, she eventually met the most unlikely person to be found in the streets of Gotham. Bruce Wayne, billionaire and CEO of Wayne Enterprise. At first trying to pick his pocket, Selina developed an interest in the strange boy, teaching him how to survive on the streets, while he tried to encourage her to be a better person. It was one of the only friendships she ever had, and it didn't last long, the two eventually having a blowout that estranged them to this day.

At present Selina has truly grown into herself as a thief, going from robbing stores to robbing museums and the homes of Gotham's most wealthy and powerful residents, allowing her to finally obtain an apartment in the East Side to call her own. No longer having to just survive, Selina has been somewhat at a loss for purpose in life, unsure of what else there is for her to do. So she has simply continued doing what she does best, steal the most heavily guarded items in the city.

Always on the lookout for new thrills, the Penguin Organization has recently come to her attention, becoming a serious player in Gotham's underground. Whether they will be a future employer or target remains to be seen.

Other Remarks:
Reardon has a keen interest in ornithology.
[/div][div class="ContentHistory hidden"]

Philip Reardon served as a soldier in the U.S. Special Forces until a grenade blast resulted in shrapnel being embedded between his eyes. He lost his vision for a few days, but eventually recovered it despite slight brain damage. The incident left a distinct scar on his forehead which earned him the nickname “three-eyes Reardon”.

Due to his injuries, he was honourably discharged from service but like many vets, Reardon struggled to find a good job when he came back from duty. Thus, he has ended up taking a job as a security guard at one of the few places always hiring; Arkham Asylum.

JACK CRANE

Age: 38
Full Name: Jack Crane
Alter Ego: Savage Skull
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 94 kg

Play-by: Tim Roth

Affiliation: Anti-hero/ Villain
Organisation(s): Gotham City Police Department

[div class="ContentPersonality"]
Skills:
Jack is a skilled boxer; he is a Golden Glove winner and the number one heavyweight on the police boxing team. He is also a trained marksman and carries a standard issue police handgun.

As the Savage Skull, Jack prefers to wield bladed objects and generally carries a large knife, which as well as a deadly melee weapon, he can also throw with lethal precision.
Personality:
Eager, impulsive and ambitious, Jack believes he is one of the few "real" cops left in Gotham. In his eyes, when it comes to crime, it is better to shoot first and ask questions later if the GCPD's going to stand any chance of taking back control of the city.

This attitude has left him with a strained relationship with his superiors as well as some of his fellow colleagues.

[/div][div class="ContentHistory hidden"]

Born and raised in Gotham, Jack has been on the police force for several years and has made quite the reputation for himself for what others within the department politely call his "zeal" for stopping crime and apprehending suspects.

Outside of work, Jack volunteers as a boxing instructor at the Police Youth Building, a community outreach centre run by the GCPD and designed to provide a safe space for Gotham's youth.

He is also former partners with Bullock (before Bullock's promotion to detective) and the two still remain on good terms.

[div class="ContentPersonality"]
Skills: Even at her young age, Barbara is exceptionally intelligent. She possesses a photographic memory that allows her to recall all information she had previously encountered, and though she hasn't been exposed to as much information as she would like during her rather short time on Earth, it has still pushed her mental capabilities beyond that of her peers. Barbara also has the currently untapped potential to reach genius level intellect. Physically, though, Barbara is just an average ten year old; albeit, one who has been training in ballet since being a toddler.
Personality: Barbara Gordon is a bright and vivacious young girl, if slightly narcissistic, and often dismissive of those a bit slower than herself. She's a very headstrong and determined individual, who dislikes doing as she's told to. She is a bit of a thrill seeker, and never one to turn down a challenge. Despite her intelligence, Barbara shows many traits typical of someone her age, such as a natural dislike of boys, a short temper and a love of ballet.

Habitual Remarks:
"I'm not stupid!"

Other Remarks: N/A
[/div][div class="ContentHistory hidden"]
Barbara Gordon was born the daughter of Roger C. Gordon and his wife Thelma in the suburbs of Ohio. Even as a young girl, Barbara wanted nothing more than to be a superhero. She and her best friend, Marcy, would spend endless hours designing superhero costumes and heroic identities for themselves.

At nine years old, her mother was tragically killed in a car accident - the result of her father's alcoholism. Heartbroken, Roger became resolute that he would not let his own addiction hurt anyone else, much less his daughter. Jailed for manslaughter, he began attending AA meetings regularly. He has another three years yet to serve.

In the months since these events, Barbara has been moved to Gotham city and put under the guardianship of her closest living relative; James Gordon. A combination of her exposure to the workings of the GCPD and her growth in mental maturity has had her change her aspirations to the more manageable dream of becoming a police officer, and continuing her uncle's work in ridding Gotham of its corruption. Though she still holds, in the back of her head, the dream of becoming a superhero.

SILVIA SLITHER

Age: 25
Birth Name: Silvia Salas
Alter Ego: Bride of Serpents (stage name)
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 141 lbs

Play-by: Unknown

Affiliation: Villain
Organization(s): Circus of Strange

Theme Song

Powers: Serpent Control. Silvia can quickly and effortlessly initiate and maintain a mind-link with one or multiple nearby snakes. In order to charm an animal (bring it under her influence) she needs to lay eyes on it. But once the mind-link is formed the serpents can be commanded through her thoughts alone, assuming they are within a hundred yards.

Once charmed a snake will forever view Silvia as an ally.

Skills: Being the daughter of a karate instructor Silvia is a very competent martial artist, particularly in terms of her striking. She's also a charismatic performer, a talent she developed through community theater and drama classes in her adolescence, and later as an act for the Circus of Strange. Silvia's a self-taught reptile expert with a particular interest (unsurprisingly) in serpentology.

Personality: On the surface she exudes devil-may-care values and an excessive commitment to theatrics. She's dramatic and capricious because she believes that's what she should be. But underneath the persona, she's lonely and resentful. Unfortunately for Silvia, she believes she deserves to be alone.

Habitual Remark: "I have an important message to any children who might be in the audience this evening: these are deadly reptiles that I'm working with, so be sure and try these stunts at home!"

Favorite Animals: Poe (coastal taipan), Mary Shelly (two-headed king cobra), Agatha (reticulated python), Melville (albino anaconda), Faulkner (eastern diamondback rattlesnake)

Her family moved out of La Chorrera, Panama before Silvia was old enough to remember it. But it was there, in Central America, where she first displayed her numinous gift. She was toddling through her grandmother's garden when she spied a boa constrictor coiled in the boughs of a breadfruit tree. It was twelve feet from nose to tail and its wedge-shaped, bronze head tracked her every step. Silvia was still in diapers but she wasn't afraid; even as a babe she was in command. So she giggled and invited the serpent to play.

When her grandmother discovered Silvia cuddling with the constrictor she dispelled her initial surge of terror - for she was well-versed in her family's mythology. The priestesses of snakes - the Brides of Serpents - were a forgotten and nearly extinct mystical Mayan lineage. Their power was bestowed by their ancestral spirits to female descendants who they judged worthy. Because of this there had not been a Bride in several generations.

While the expression of Silvia's supernatural side enthused her maternal grandmother, it troubled her father. He wanted a safe and normal life for his daughter. She deserved a future free of spirits, serpents, and the countless people who would mark her as a monster. So in an effort to outrun his child's unearthly destiny he packed up his family and migrated to Florida.

They settled in Boca Raton. There her father, a college graduate, completed law school and became an assistant district attorney. A short while later, when Silvia was seven, he and his wife gave her a brother. They named him Cristian. When she was ten her mother opened her own karate dojo. Silvia's maternal grandfather had been one of the few blackbelts in all of Panama when he was alive.

Silvia and her brother were pushed to their limits in school and in their mother's dojo. And while each sibling struggled they more or less lived up to their parent's expectations. The most challenging demand on Silvia was her father's rule that she never employ her gift. So she suppressed her supernatural self for years, but she resented doing so.

One night, when she was sixteen, her life imploded. It began with her staying out past curfew with a girlfriend. Her father was under considerable stress at the time, as he was a key prosecutor in a scandalously case against a slew of corrupt law enforcement officers. For his involvement he received frequent anonymous death threats, as well as a not-so-subtle warning from a narcotics officer.

He volunteered to stay up for Silvia on account that he hardly slept anymore. She was suppose to be home by eleven but she had developed a recent pattern of defying her parents wishes. It was a quarter after midnight when her father heard a ruckus outside. Believing it was his daughter he marched out to confront her. But it wasn't Silvia, it was an assassin armed with a garrote wire.

Her father's murder was a crippling blow to her family. Worst still, Silvia partly blamed herself for failing to make curfew. The authorities failed to come up with a legitimate suspect for her father's killer. Her mother informed them about the hostile narcotics officer but he provided an alibi. Silvia, overwhelmed with anger and guilt, took it upon herself to avenge her family.

From black Florida creeks she summoned a cluster of cottonmouths. Then she tracked down the man that threatened her father. The vipers struck his legs from under his car as he tried to enter his automobile. Confused and panicked he attempted to flee, but he didn't get far. A perfectly timed trip from Silvia toppled him to the sidewalk. Then from her sleeves she tossed more moccasins over the officer. Their fangs found his hand and neck.

He pulled his sidearm to gun her down but Silvia explained that her demise would result in his. For she had the antivenom nearby. If he wanted to survive he would have to talk and do so quickly. Without options he gave up the name of her father's assassin. But rather than receive antivenom he suffered another strike from a lurking cottonmouth. Silvia slipped away as he rained bullets into the serpents beside his feet. Their venom took his life before the ambulances reached him. The following night her father's killer was discovered dead, in his home, with a pack rattlesnakes slithering over his corpse.

When Silvia's mother learned of the two lethal snake attacks she understood that her daughter was the culprit. This broke her heart; it's not what her father would have wanted. Then they argued until their relationship was destroyed. Silvia was cast out because her mother couldn't allow a killer, daughter or not, to influence Cristian.

Rejected and alone Silvia sought refuge with societies' undesirables. The resentful. The miscreants. The freaks. A revulsion grew in the pit of her stomach for what she judged as the phony systems and institutions of the present day. Eventually these ideals led her to Gotham, the city of the perpetual night and lawlessness. Once there she joined the circus. What better way to express herself. What better way to transform into the monster she was always destined to be.

Skills: Deathstroke is a well renowned tactical genius, widely regarded to be the most intelligent mercenary in the world, able to calculate several moves ahead of his enemies. This paired with his incredible aptitude at leadership, persuasion, management and manipulation cause even those who have worked with him in the past to still feel rather intimidated by him.
During his time in the army he proved himself to be one of the most skilled close quarter fighters among them, along with this training he went on to master several martial arts such as; Boxing, Jujitsu, Karate and Ninjitsu.

A highly trained swordsman who is able to wield his pair of katana's with deadly accuracy and nearing superhuman speed. Although his katana's are not his only weapons, in fact Deathstroke has just about mastered all forms of weaponry and tool, making his versatility extremely deadly. Furthermore he is an expert hunter and tracker, as well as a master of stealth capable of breaking into facilities of the highest security. It is said that Deathstroke is a man who is seen only when he wishes to be seen.

Deathstroke is also a practitioner of meditation, seemingly helping him find inner peace as when he retreats from a battle it is almost like he had never fought at all.
(Below are his abilities from the serum. It's a bit of a long list so I will just use the wiki.)

- Enhanced Intellect: His mind works at incredible speeds and is his greatest asset. Able to think and perceive 9 times faster and utilize that much more of his mind than average human for information processing and sorting. He is capable of perfectly memorising anything, he can perfectly remember and instantly recall everything he has ever experienced, encountered or learned in his lifetime without being overwhelmed or a pause for thought. He only needs to read, hear, see, or observe something once and he will never forget it, and he has unlimited storage capacity. Deathstroke's mind is virtually a supercomputer built for strategy and problem-solving, one that works at optimal ability even when under stress and fatigue. He can work out a battle ahead of time for every possibility and predict enemy movements and tactics after the battle has engaged by instantly recalling and utilising memorised mannerisms acquired through past experience. He is ingenious in; devising solutions against superior aspects of opponents, observing and exploiting, and can instantly make any calculations especially regarding distance, speed, and time; his sense of timing is perfect. He immediately solves any problem he happens to face and instantly formulates how to overcome any obstacle. He can understand the mechanics behind any issue he faces and knows what must be done to solve any problem
- Enhanced Reflexes: Deathstroke possesses enhanced reflexes, flawless dexterity and coordination. His reaction speed allows him to automatically and casually dodge point blank gunfire from multiple assailants. He's able to instantly discern the motivations of people and situations, allowing him to instantly act and react to danger.
- Enhanced Speed: He's able to run at speeds greater than the finest human athlete and attack faster than the eyes of a normal human can follow.
- Enhanced Stamina: Deathstroke can exert himself at peak capacity for several days, and possesses limitless pain-tolerance, willpower, vitality, virility, vigor, endurance, tenacity and lung capacity.
- Enhanced Strength: His entire muscular system was hardened and fortified making Deathstroke many times stronger and durable than humans. He places this capability into his strikes, augmenting the concussive force of his attacks.
- Enhanced Agility: Deathstroke is extraordinarily limber and his tendons and connective tissues are twice as elastic as the average human being's, despite their enhanced strength. He can perform any complicated sequence of gymnastic stunts such as flips, rolls, and springs. He is able to achieve a state of perfect equilibrium in any position. He is able to adjust his position by instinct, allowing him to balance himself on any object, no matter how small or narrow.
- Enhanced Senses: All of Deathstroke's senses have been augmented to heightened levels of function. He can perceive things better than a normal human, he possess perfect pitch, and night vision. His senses allow him to identify small changes in the air. He has a sixth sense; being able to dodge danger even though he hasn't seen it. He can perceive events before they happen as well as understand events as they occur.
- Enhanced Durability: Deathstroke's skin, bone, and muscle tissues are considerably stronger and harder than human and the tissues are impervious to injury to an extraordinary extent.
- Regeneration: He can regenerate damaged or destroyed bodily tissue with far greater speed and efficiency than an ordinary human. He can regenerate from anything, even injured tissue, brain cells (nerves), missing limbs and organs. As such, Deathstroke's body can take a tremendous amount of punishment before succumbing to death. Gunshot and stab wounds, cuts, and broken bones can perfectly heal in a few minutes. He was once impaled through his chest, and it did nothing but slow him down.
- Enhanced Immunity: Deathstroke's body neutralises all detrimental contaminants making him immune to all poisons, toxins, venom's, viruses, bacteria, diseases, disorders, parasites, allergen, radiations, mind control, body possession, telepathy, etc.
- Decelerated Ageing: Deathstroke does not age beyond his prime, allowing him to retain his physical prowess, health, vitality and youthful appearance indefinitely. This ultimately makes him immune to natural death.
- Adaptation: He can automatically adapt to any environment.

Personality: A thoroughly cynical and nihilistic person, one who has far past caring whether something is good or bad, although rather contradictory he can be quite protective and devoted with his own personal code of honour. At times he can even be a little childish to the surprise of his employers and enemies. Slade does not tell lies although he can not exactly be called an honest person due to him being happy enough with keeping secrets or only telling half-truths. It appears that he is a man who is in fact capable of being nice but often ends up being sarcastic.

Slade has grown to be a very bitter person due to his past, his son's death, the betrayal of his wife, and country. This hatred can be shown through his rather ruthless and unforgiving style of fighting.

[/div][div class="ContentHistory hidden"]
Slade Joseph Wilson joined the military at the age of 16 and served in combat overseas until he was promoted to the the rank of Major, where he would meet with his future wife, Captain Adeline Kane. Kane believed Slade was the most able combatant that she had ever seen and so offered him private training. Slade easily mastered everything that was presented to him and was soon promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Slade and Kane would work together for another six months until Slade proposed to her and the two got married. Not long after Adeline Wilson became pregnant and retired from her career in the military to have their son Joseph.

Shortly after Joseph's birth, Slade volunteered for a medical experiment designed to stimulate his adrenal gland in the hopes of increasing a soldier's ability to resist truth serums. The experiment did not go as expected, and Slade fell into a coma with his body and mind completely broken. However Slade would suddenly and unexpectedly experience rapid recovery and once he had awoken it was apparent that the experimental serum had greatly enhanced him. Despite this he was rejected by the military when he applied for re-assignment. Desperate to serve his country and some way Slade fell into depression. On the recommendation of his wife he became a hunter, and a very successful one at that as his skills brought great wealth and comfort to his family. However he had also started his career as a mercenary and quickly became one of the worlds most famous assassins.

He lived with his family rather happily until one day a group of rival mercenaries broke into their home and kidnapped his son Joseph. Even when threatened with his son's death he was unwilling to comply with their demands, claiming that they went against his code of honour. This would lead to his own son being executed in front of himself and his wife, something that his wife instantly blamed him for. Enraged to the point of trying to murder him Slade did not wish to harm his wife, due to his unwillingness to fight her he would end up losing his eye. Something that he felt was well deserved after failing to save his own son.

[div class="ContentPersonality"]
Skills: With a sharp, analytical mind, high spacial awareness, and a flare for thinking outside of the box, Harper's natural mental tendencies lend themselves perfectly to the physical and digital elements of electronic engineering, a skill she has cultivated since her youth. Given the time, materials, and motivation, Harper can invent, build, and repair all manner of gadgets and equipment, including less exciting things like workstations and automobiles. While she is a nerd at heart, with a powerful mind, she has learned the hard way to keep her body strong in tandem. Her father taught her to take a punch, taught her the value of being able to throw one. The mean streets of her home town taught her to run, to jump, to climb and dodge, taught her that her body was the only thing keeping her mind safe. Now, in Gotham, she keeps herself in condition with a rigorous workout in the morning, and before bed. She's a capable hand-to-hand combatant, but her general athletic ability is far more impressive than fighting style.
Personality: Harper is a tough nut to crack. Blunt, stubborn, persistent, she moves for no one's purposes but her own, and stops for no reasons but her own. This can appear to be laziness as often as it appears to be patience. Due to her upbringing, she has a distaste for authority, tradition, and the general order of things. She's down to earth, frugal, even a little materialistic. She doesn't put stock in the abstract, the spiritual, or the transcendent, not for lack of belief, but because answering those existential questions doesn't make living life any easier. This quality also makes her frugal, materialistic, and sometimes a little frivolous. She knows that stability is survival, especially in Gotham, and she sometimes likes to flaunt the fact that she's skilled enough to make her way in life, provide for not only her, but her brother.

To those with whom she is close, those few people who've managed to get past her thick, reinforced walls of sarcasm, bluntness and staunch independence, she is almost a different person. Generous with her time and her resources, loyal if not a little possessive, she's the kind of friend who will actually show up to help you move, instead of just promising to and then ditching at the last minute. While she's naturally witty, and can socialize when she wants to, she has trouble really opening up, even to those she knows and trusts. There's just this block between her and her emotions, this giant, looming pain that has to be dealt with before any of her other emotions will make sense. This inner turmoil can show itself when she faces an ultimate failure, or betrayal, when deeply emotional conflict come to bear. When she has had too much, and lashes out violently the way her father did, the episode is soon followed by shame and withdrawal, self-deprecation and even a little self-destruction.

Habitual Remarks: "Yeah ... I just wish people made as much sense as photocopiers."

Other Remarks: Harper is in the closet. She also has both her ears modestly stretched with modest-gauge black plastic rings.
[/div][div class="ContentHistory hidden"]
Harper hasn't had an easy life.

Born in RABE Memorial hospital on a balmy night in May, she was three years old when her brother Cullen was born. They didn't have a lot of money, nice clothes, a spacious home. Few in Bludhaven did. Her father was a heavy duty mechanic who liked a few beers and a UFC fight on cable when he got home from work. Her mother was a TOC, teacher on call, and worked as a laundry service attendant at the hospital on weekends. She was kind, and gentle, and hard-working. They made ends meet, living in a little two bedroom apartment a few blocks from Thrawn park. Harper grew up in thrift store clothing, surrounded by a second-hand life. She shared a bedroom with her brother, a sheet providing them each with their own space, while their parents used the other bedroom. It was cramped, but they were happy.

Everything changed when Harper was eleven. It was late in the evening, clouds blotting out the stars as a light, cool wind blew in through Harper's bedroom window. Christmas was a month away. Her mother was working a shift at the hospital, but she was supposed to be home by now. Her father was already asleep, exhausted from a transmission overhaul. Pulling on her faded pink robe, the little girl crept out into the apartment, crept to the front door. She wanted to wait on the catwalk, watch for her mother through the railing, wave when she got near. She pushed onto her tip-toes and undid the chain, then the bolt. She'd only just turned the handle when the door sprang inward at her, giving her a start. She hadn't even noticed the blood soaking into the welcome mat.

Clapping her hands over her mouth to avoid screaming, she realized quickly that her mother was laying in the doorway. A cascade of realizations tumbled down onto her. It was her mother! Mom was home! Mom didn't look well, she was pale, her eyes were wide and unblinking. She had something all over her, something red. Blood. She had blood all over her. Her neck ... the cut was so deep ... Police said they'd found Harper cradling her mother's head, rocking back and forth. She didn't respond to anyone.

The police called it ... well, it didn't matter what they called it, there wouldn't be any justice. No evidence, no motive ... they hadn't even taken her wallet. Someone had just appeared out of the night, killed her mother for no reason, and vanished again. Neither she, nor her brother uttered a word for months. Their father, who had a short temper and enjoyed a few drinks before, now lived at the bottom of a bottle, flew off the handle for anything, everything. He hit things, threw things, broke things ...

They lived with him for a long time as he spiralled downward. Harper learned to clean up after him, keep him in line as far as anyone smaller than him could. She learned to fix the things he broke. By the time she was fifteen, it wasn't a big problem if her father beat the hell out of the microwave for not being fast enough, for heating one side more than the other, for just being there. By the next morning it looked next-to-new. She couldn't fix Cullen though, who learned to avoid the house, learned to stay with friends, and eventually boyfriends. Harper never minded. She could handle her father, knew how to deal.

She buried herself into her school work, and encouraged Cullen to do the same. Her abilities in repairing household appliances transitioned into a love of electronics, and she had a scholarship offer from Gotham University for the Electronic Engineering program when she graduated a year ahead of schedule. With nothing holding her back anymore, Harper took Cullen and moved to Gotham, to the Narrows. She celebrated her eighteenth birthday with her brother in their new apartment, sharing chinese takeout and no-name pop as they laughed about how the sirens reminded them of home, she'd only just started to feel like their life might be turning a corner.

She was wrong. The scholarship money dried up before the first semester was finished. She had to drop the second half of the year. Cullen was doing fine at the local Alt School until a group of tough kids found out he was gay, something he didn't try that hard to hide. Now they follow him home, throw rocks, beat him up for his pocket change, or for fun ... and it's getting worse. Harper has been providing for them by doing odd jobs; cracking or hacking people's phones, repairing blenders and televisions, helping as an electrician on under-the-table jobs. In her spare time she puts her talents to use for home defense, and between booby traps and alarms, their apartment's security is now on par with a small financial institution.

  • Genius Level Intellect: Jason has extensive knowledge of various subjects, which include Science, Mathematics, Forensic Medicine, Geography, History, and Leadership. He has also proven to be a highly efficient criminal strategist and organise as the Red Hood.

  • Criminology Demolitions: Jason is able to assemble and defuse a wide variety of conventional explosive devices, from improvised to military grade designs.

  • Throwing: Jason is an expert marksman and highly skilled with throwing weapons, such as knives.

  • Weaponry: Jason is highly skilled in the use of many weapons, including firearms and knives.
Personality:
Jason is much more ruthless than the Batman or any other vigilante in Gotham City. He is willing to take any length to rid Gotham of the criminal scum which inhabit it, often killing his enemies in cold blood. He still follows a moral code, however, vowing to never inflict harm on any children whatsoever.

Jason's most notable weakness is his rage. His rage blinds him in battle to the point of leaving physical and mental weak points open for attacks.

Background:
Jason Todd was born in the Narrows of Gotham City. His mother died of a drug overdose months after he was born, leaving him with his abusive father, who blamed him for her death. This caused years of both mental and physical abuse, though when Jason was eleven years old, his father was killed by Sal Maroni’s men after not paying the debt he owed them.

Being left alone in the Narrows meant Jason had to be tough and learn to fight back, which he did. Though he went beyond that after seeing the kind of people his parents had become. He soon vowed to rid Gotham of the same scum he was forced to grow up around by any means necessary, spending his late childhood and the entirety of his teens doing just that, before donning the mask of the Red Hood and taking to the streets of Gotham.

Habitual Remarks:
“You can’t stop crime! That’s what you never understood! You wanna rule them by fear, but what do you do with the ones who aren’t afraid?! I’m doing what you can’t! I’m taking them out!

Other Remarks:
So, if you haven’t noticed, this version of Jason was never Robin, as that wouldn’t make very much sense within this rp. Rather, Jason Todd was simply someone who grew up in the Narrows of Gotham and decided to rid the world of the scum by any means necessary, though instead of being trained by the Batman, he trained himself.

So, yeah, diverging from the canon quite a bit here. However, everything else about him remains the same, including his skills in weaponry and acrobatics and such.

Lillian Isley
Age: 23
Full Name: Pamela Lillian Isley
Alter Ego: None ...
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Unexplored
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 118 lbs

Play-by: Madelaine Petsch

Affiliation: None
Organization(s): Wayne Enterprises

[div class="ContentPersonality"]
Skills: Pamela Lillian Isley is, despite being 23, a brilliant young woman. She's a hard worker, an accomplished scientist, disciplined and dedicated. She's a workaholic, and tends to burn the candle at both ends without realizing it. She has a certain amount of ignorance when it comes to her own inner workings, both emotional and physical. She has trouble realizing when she's hungry, when she's sad, when she's being used, when she's angry. She's shy, a naive, awkward and reserved. Even her closest friends don't know much about her inner thoughts, just that she's kind, and caring, that she's a vegetarian and a compassionate person. She finds people complicated, more so than any scientific topic, which is partly why she spends so much of her time with her plants. They're just easier to trust. A rose's thorns are always showing. Despite her reservations about trusting others, she is easy to manipulate if you know what parts of her are vulnerable.
Personality: Pamela Lillian Isley is a brilliant scientist. She holds a PhD with a number of scientific majors. She loves learning, loves developing new pass-times and hobbies. She has a penchant for research, for learning, for assembling bits of information into a coherent whole. She's a natural planner and strategist. She's a marvellous artist, preferring oil paints to sketching, knows how to knit and sew, loves to cook and garden. She jogs to keep herself in shape, but isn't athletically impressive in any way. She has no combat experience, and the closest she's come to a fight is ... not worth mentioning. Needless to say it didn't teach her how to fight, just that she isn't as sound a judge of character as some other people.
Habitual Remarks: I know so much about the natural world ... it's only people who confuse me.

Other Remarks: Lillian hates being called Pamela.
[/div][div class="ContentHistory hidden"]
Pamela Lillian Isley grew up a lonely child. She was born in Atherton, California, an affluent, incorporated township in San Mateo county. She had everything a child could want; successful parents, a beautiful room full of expensive toys and distractions in a mammoth house. She went to the finest schools, ate the finest food, wore the finest designers ... but something was missing. Her parents were missing. Not physically of course. Physically her father, a brilliant cardiac surgeon was home when he wasn't working, locked in his study doing ... well, whatever middle age men do in the comfort of their studies. Her mother, an accomplished high-fashion designer, generally occupied the other side of the house, filling the living and dining rooms with work parties, weekend parties, soirees, dinners, any excuse to surround herself with adoring fans. Needless to say there wasn't much time left for Lily.

She was a smart girl. She still is a smart girl, but the point is that she's always been sharp. Resourceful, inventive, analytical, witty ... whatever adjective one might use, Lily fit the description. When she was young, it came out as hours spent reading, quick uptake of silent hobbies like painting, the recorder, sudoku from the newspapers she secreted out of her father's study when he wasn't using it. With her parents leaving her to her own devices, she just assumed she was supposed to build them, that ... that she needed to impress them, or reach some standard by which to earn their attention, their love.

By her teens she'd figured out that simply wasn't true. Her parents had problems. Their relationship had died out long ago, but their assets were so entangled that they were little more than resentful room-mates. Lily had been an attempt to rekindle the marriage, a step into a new stage of their relationship. It didn't work as planned, and so she only served as a reminder of the cage they both still inhabited. Lily may have been awkward, quiet, even a little shelter-shocked, but she could still feel the unpleasant storm of emotions she stirred in them when they were around her. By the time she was sixteen they didn't even eat dinner together. It was fine. They didn't do anything together.

Lily spent most of her time in her room. While her parents were loathe to spend even a moment with her, they seemed happy to buy her art supplies and books, new computers and the latest phone. She spent most of her time in her room, painting, reading, studying. writing stupid poems and stories. She loved school, like most nerds. Not only did it give her a chance to feel normal by proxy, the chance to engage her few, feeble friendships, but it fostered her favourite hobby: Learning. It was after her first, horrible attempt at a relationship that she started gardening. Her therapist recommended it, said it would help her with the anxiety, the nightmares. She was right, everything about gardening proved peaceful. It slid into second place among her pass-times. She felt a kind of kinship with the plants; quiet, beautiful, always growing, never seeking to do harm, helpful, resilient.

It didn't really surprise anyone when she pursued Botany in college. It also didn't surprise any of the few people who knew her inner thoughts that she moved away from home the same year. She'd been offered a full ride by Stanford based on her marks, and her project for the grade 12 science expo. She'd received a personal letter of recommendation from the attending faculty members. She was a year ahead of schedule for her degree by the end of second year. That's when she got the letter. She'd been invited to the East Coast, to take part in a special program that would fast-track her masters degree, and guarantee her a job in an industry-leading biotech company owned by Wayne Enterprises.

Moving across the country might have been daunting to anyone else, but Lily spent most of her life alone ... besides, she would be among like minds, it would be easier to make friends there. The information packet even included a letter from her science faculty liason, a doctor Jason Woodrue. A prominent member of the Botanical Sciences department, he'd taken particular interest in her after a colleague sent him one of her papers on accelerating the conversion of carbon dioxide to oxygen in freshwater algae. It was hard to believe it was written by someone of her diminuitive age. He honeyed her with compliments, charmed her from across the country. Naive, shy, repressed, awkward, she wasn't used to people flirting with her, despite her natural beauty. She was wrapped around his finger before she ever arrived. By third year she was his registered T.A., on the road to finishing her Masters at just 23 years old.

She graduated with a triple major; Botanical Sciences, Biology, and Chemistry. She took the summer off to enjoy herself, to paint and let the good doctor take her to restaurants, ply her with drink. She was always wary, but he was so disarming. She's only been working for two months, but she's made a reputation for herself with late nights and dutiful work ... and she still keeps in touch with the doctor.
