For those of you who've read the GONE trilogy you have probably at least wondered what it would be like to find yourself in that scenario.
For those of you that haven't Allow me to sum it up for you briefly. In the series, a dome appears, encircling a small Californian town and the surrounding countryside with a nuclear reactor placed in the middle. The second the dome appears, everyone over the age of 16 disappears from existence, leaving the kids to fend for themselves. As the story develops we learn that some children have developed abilities that allow them to do incredible things, and of course some of these children chose to use them in nefarious ways. Not only do the children themselves mutate but the surrounding wildlife do as well, spawning talking coyotes, flesh burrowing worms and winged sea snakes. This new world becomes harsh and unforgiving as the children try to band together to overcome wars, disease, famine and a number of other horrors. Behind it all is an undefined alien darkness which is pulling the strings, driving the children against each other in an attempt to escape its prison.
This RP will occur in a fictional town slightly further north than the original FAYZ and will happen simultaneously with the original. It is a completely new town and as I had the idea for this RP a while ago I have taken the liberty of drawing up maps of the FAYZ itself and it's main town, Oakridge. The RP will be mostly based within the town although there are several other locations available to explore. I will be looking for GM's to help me monitor this RP as well as discuss plot points and deal with recruitment as being English has the unfortunate side effect of being asleep whilst most posting takes place.
Purely for my own convenience and the ease of all of you guys there are several Rules right off the bat:
- Each post must be at least 2, in depth paragraphs.
- Each post must be headed with Names, Locations, Moods and mentions of all characters involved.
- The age of 'the poof' (as the disappearing is called) is raised to 18, simply because I struggle to play younger characters and to make any relationships a bit more comfortable,
- As with the original series, powers will be rated in a 'cell signal' like way, with limits on each tariff. There will be one NPC 5 bar character who will initiate the FAYZ, three 4 bar characters, and as many 0-3 bar characters as you guys want.
-There will be a limit of 3 characters each.
