It was a chilly October night when Principal Wright found one of her students floating in the pool, her bloody horse dead beside her with its reins wrapped around her neck. She claims that she doesn't understand how her blood-curdling scream didn’t wake anyone up, and at the somber school assembly addressing the death she appeared genuinely upset. It seems that the police are having a hard time buying it, though.
Tyler, who, despite resenting her mother’s obnoxious attitude, finds herself immersed in trying to clear her family name. It doesn’t take long for her friends to notice her falling asleep on her feet, and pretty soon they’re in on the action too. Then the meanest clique in school gets involved due to an unfortunate accident, and pretty soon the six are uncovering a mystery deeper than any of them thought possible.

Tyler is the principal’s daughter, but as far as she’s concerned no one needs to know that. Kind and humble despite her mother’s overbearing shadow. You can usually find her hiding on the forest trails at her secret lookout. Friends with the underdog and the outcast. Junior.

Coming from a low-income family, they’ve had to work hard for everything for they have in the equestrian world, which has yet to include a horse of their own. They’re half-leasing the senior’s horse as part of Golden Oaks’ work-study program, meaning pretty much all of their free time is spent working in the stables when they’re not doing homework. Sophomore.

the snob
Your classic rich bitch, complete with a beautiful Friesian they do dressage with. They have everything except their parents’ attention- not to mention they’re very much in the closet. Bonus points if they’re secretly dating one of the other roles.

the senior
Over the summer their parents divorced. As a result, to help make ends meet, they’re leasing out their horse for the first time ever in order to get a scholarship. They’re not happy about it, despite the fact that their horse is in great hands with the underdog. Friends with the snob. Senior, obviously.

Head bitch with the most expensive OTTB. They probably run Golden Oaks’ notoriously toxic gossip twitter, but nothing’s ever been confirmed. Their parents’ are constantly on her back about being the top of the class, which probably explains the bottle of depression meds on her night stand. Senior.

the outcast
In a world where everyone is stick-thinand white, they never stood a chance at fitting in. It doesn’t help that they own a killpen rescue amongst expensive purebreds, either- but they love their mutt regardless. Junior. Friends with the underdog and the princess. Bonus points if they’re male.

This roleplay is advanced literate; I'm not expecting mini novellas consistently, but if you're a one-liner kinda person, this isn't for you. Also: please be willing and wanting to contribute plot ideas, and please be creative with your characters! I swear I don't bite~
2.MATURITY
This roleplay is 16+ as it will contain topics such as death, gore, swearing, etc. Not to mention I'm 22 and don't feel comfortable covering heavy topics with younger writers- which I know is annoying. I used to get so frustrated about rules like this when I was young, but I'm asking you to please respect my boundaries on this.
3.KINDNESS
Along the lines of maturity, please be kind. This is supposed to be fun; we're gonna be supportive besties or you're gonna get kicked out. I will not hesitate.
4.KNOWLEDGE
I'd prefer it if people with legitimate equestrian knowledge joined. I can't be the only crazed horse girl on this site, right? That being said: Golden Oaks is an English riding school. I want this to be realistic in regards to equine knowledge, stable drama, and then, on top of that, regular ol' school. Character slots are not first come, first serve. I'll eventually create a discord server for those who are accepted and the character application thread will be up with interestand i stg if someone asks to take a slot cuz they didn't read the rules my head will EXPLODE-thanks for reading!
