Virtues:

Dignified
One could definitely blame part of this particular trait on Angelina’s upbringing. Born as the eldest daughter to King Leonard and his wife, she was expected to uphold the regal, high-society values of her birthright from a very young age. She was taught all the intricacies of being a lady, which led her to hold herself to a higher standard. She takes pride in being regarded as the princess she is.

KindLike her mother before her, Angelina is very warm-hearted. She sees the world through joyful, compassionate eyes and believes strongly in the power of a smile. She can almost always be found performing little acts of kindness everywhere she goes, such as collecting flowers for her staff, making snacks for her siblings, or performing music for villagers when out and about among the people of Phora.

LoyalDespite being closest to her mother all her life, Angelina has always shared a close bond with her siblings. She loves them all deeply, and would do anything she had to do to protect them. She loves to see them happy, and will always be there when they need her. Though she and her father don’t always see eye to eye, she even shares a tolerable relationship with him, and would never do anything to undermine or betray him.

Vices:

Defiant…Though she was never outwardly rebellious like her younger siblings, Angelina is not always calm and composed. More subtle than her siblings, Angelina showed her defiance in more covert ways. When she disagrees with something or feels something is unfair, Angelina will fight it, and it is very hard to convince her to listen once she gets that way.
Quick-Tempered…While preferring to avoid confrontation, Angelina is quick to anger when she feels she or someone she cares for has been wronged. Though not as inclined to throw a punch as her sister, Angelina will retaliate when angered, and is not afraid to do so in ways much more harmful than a punch.
DiscontentWhile Angelina has never shown it outwardly, she does not enjoy her life. She doesn’t wish to a princess, nor does she wish to become Queen. Though she knows she could make a good one—and that her siblings want her to be—she has never wanted the throne, or the crown she currently wears. Angelina would never turn away from her family or her duties, but she longs for a life free from the confines of royalty. She has every luxury she could dream of, but it has never felt like enough.

History:

Childhood: As a child, Angelina spent more time with her parents and with her tutors than she did with her siblings. She was taught to read and write very young, and spent countless hours practicing royal etiquette in order to become the perfect princess. Despite this, once they were born, Angelina found time between her lessons to indulge in some childhood fun with her younger siblings. Whenever she had the chance, she would play with them, chasing her younger siblings through the halls, enjoying sweets with them. She loved to join in when her brothers were playing pranks, even when she bickered with them when their pranks were on her. Knowing the expectations her parents, especially her father, had for her kept her from throwing tantrums or avoiding her lessons, however. As the oldest, knowing her younger siblings disliked that part of their lives, Angelina intentionally honored her father’s wishes and molded herself into the ideal daughter. If he was distracted with raising her to be a perfect lady, he was less focused on trying to whip her siblings into shape.
Adolescence:
When Angelina reached her teenage years, her preparations to become a marriageable lady only intensified, along with their father’s insistence that her brother, Anastascius, step up to his responsibility and start taking his future place as King seriously. With her siblings getting older and still rebelling, Leonard was becoming less tolerant of their refusal to accept the responsibilities bestowed on them by their birth. It was around this age when Angelina realized her siblings, especially her brothers, believed she should be the one to inherit the throne. As the oldest, they believed it was her right, and that as the most responsible one, she was the best suited. She believed she could be a good Queen, but the more she thought of the possibility, the more certain she became that not only did she not want to be Queen, she didn’t want to be royal. Though she never resisted her lessons on how to be a lady, she was terribly discontent with such a life. In her spare time, while her sister Adelaide found solace in books and her brothers in pranks, Angelina found joy in swords. In public, Angelina is the perfect princess from head to toe, but behind closed doors, she became a warrior, finding joy and a sense of belonging in activities her father believes are to be done by men. She became quickly adept a being a sword, and is more comfortable around soldiers than among nobility.

She received her ability on her thirteenth birthday, the first of her siblings to do so, in the form of a silver bracelet inset with diamonds alongside her fragment of the gem. The moment the bracelet was closed around her wrist, her fingers disintegrated into mist, literally becoming air before her eyes. Having learned quickly that her ability allowed her to sneak away much more often, Angelina quickly mastered it, until it became like another limb to her. She loves her ability, and believes the gem chose it specially for her.
Currently: After her mother’s death, Angelina withdrew into herself for quite awhile. She’d been close with her mother growing up, having spent countless hours learning piano at her side or watching her be the perfect Queen, loved by the people of Phora and by her children even if she wasn’t by her husband. Due to their closeness, losing her was very hard for Angelina, especially as her father moved in from it far too easily. She was never more angry at him than she was in the weeks after her mother’s death, as her father showed more concern with her first marriage offer than he did with the death of his wife. It was the first time she ever refused her father. When he introduced Angelina to the noble he intended for her to marry, the princess showed who she was behind the perfect facade she puts forward and made certain the man had no intentions of marrying her. Though her father was enraged, he simply scolded her and began searching for another suitable match. Like her siblings, Angelina found her own way to deal with her mother’s loss.

When her father announced he would be sending them all to the Festival of Fantasy, Angelina found herself excited rather than agitated. Knowing her father will marry her off eventually, she sees this as her chance to at least find a man she could love and who could love her rather than some stranger with money and influence her father saw a chance to benefit from.
