This is information we can currently give out regarding the cards and how they work.
  • People seem to call them simply as "Black Cards" although "God cards" are also used.
  • Cards work through a Lantern Ring way. Once in the possession of a compatible owner, it will become one with the card owner.
  • Touching the card grants the person who touched it powers of the god listed in the card. The person who touches the card is also considered the card's owner. Sometimes however, cards are not compatible with a person, in that case, the card will reject the person and will not grant them powers.
  • Not one person can manifest powers from two different cards. if they touch another compatible card, the powers from their old card is removed from them.
  • In the case where a person using a card loses their powers (ie. because of an ability that removes powers OR because they touched another compatible card and removed the powers of their old card) they must touch their card again to regain those powers.
  • It doesn't matter which part of the body makes contact with the card to access it's powers.
  • Animals and plants cannot gain access to the powers granted by the card.
  • The text on the card can only be read by those compatible with that particular card. If you look at a card's text that you are not compatible with, it will only show strange symbols and the god's symbol.
  • You can level up a card by performing tasks that seem to be pleasing to the god marked in that card. Leveling up a card allows you to gain access to more powers.
  • There will be rare occasions where the card changes from being compatible to a person to being incompatible. This is due to the person's actions. When the card becomes incompatible with the owner, it no longer allows access to the god's powers. However as long as the person haven't touched another compatible card, it will still consider that person it's "owner".
  • If the owner dies, the card will still function normally and will grant powers to the next compatible person that touches it.

Corruption: The cardholder has the ability to mutate whoever it maintains direct eye contact with for five seconds into a monstrosity. All beings who lock eyes with the cardholder are forced to confront their hidden wrongdoings, darkest desires and buried emotions. For the average person, this will completely consume them. Transforming them into a nightmarish form based on whatever sin was filling them with the most guilt. Only by having both a strong will and complete acceptance of ones transgressions can one maintain their true self.

Absorption: Stories of Angra Mainyu paint him as the one baring the weight of humanities sins. The cardholder has the ability to siphon the malice from humans whose blood they drink. This strengthens the cardholder while also draining the target of their inner darkness. Only through direct physical contact with the targets blood can this process begin.

Daeva: The cardholder can summon four demons known as daevas to do their bidding. These creatures must be regularly fed blood in order to maintain their strength. Each Daeva may get stronger by consuming the hearts of sinners.

Detection: The cardholder possesses the ability to smell and sense the evil in peoples hearts. All people bear a kind of low level cinnamon smell. Truly evil people carry the scent of blood on them.

Hey homie, just a few things I need you to change power wise. I think that the idea of a Zoroastrian Godcard is dope as fuck, but I do need you to nerf some of your abilities. The ability to destroy objects and mutate people with a single touch is a bit OP and due to story issues, we're gonna need to make him just a tad weaker.

Fenrir is a great monster from Norse mythology, the wolf son of the trickster god Loki and the giantess Angrboda, along with his siblings Hel (ruler of the dead) and the world serpent Jörmungandr. Fenrir is a symbol of insatiable hunger, monstrous strength, destruction and growing threats. Like the Serpent, Fenrir’s birth foretold his role in the end times of the gods, Ragnarök, and worried by this and the wolf’s constant growth, the gods attempted to trap him through fake challenges to test if he could escape his bindings. The wolf did so, and so the dwarves created Gleipnir, a ribbon-like binding thin but stronger than any chain composed out of impossible materials. This Fenrir was finally trapped by, but in order to agree to the challenge he had the god of justice Tyr place his hand in his mouth. When Fenrir realized he couldn’t escape Gleipnir, he bit off the god’s hand.

The gods did not kill Fenrir, and the wolf grew and grew until finally escaping during Ragnarök, where he and his family turned on the gods and ended the world. During Ragnarök, Fenrir’s children, the wargs Skoll and Hati, devoured the sun and moon, casting the world into darkness, and Fenrir destroyed half the world with fire while the Serpent destroyed the other half. During the final battle, the wolf devoured Odin himself, only for Odin’s son Vidarr, the god of vengeance, to kill him.


Powers:
Light-Eater: Based on the legends of Fenrir’s children chasing after the sun and the moon to eat them, the cardholder is able to cast an area into complete darkness by ‘eating’ the light. This effect is temporary.

Hunter of Gods: The cardholder is able to track other cardholders, with possible exceptions based on the other holder’s abilities. However, due to Fenrir’s status as a predator and enemy to gods, other holders are instinctively aware of this one’s presence when they are near.

Wolf Familiars: The cardholder can summon one to two familiars in the shapes of normal wolves to do its bidding.

Beserker Strength: In fitting with Fenrir’s overpowering strength as well as the legends of the wolf-warriors in Norse mythology, the cardholder is able to enter a state where their physical traits are enhanced, and they are a maddened warrior.

Unchained: As Fenrir was ultimately able to escape all bindings, even Gleipnir during Ragnarök, it is difficult to ‘bind’ the cardholder. The cardholder can escape from or break simple bindings.

Communion with Creatures: Due to calling on the powers of a beast, the cardholder is able to communicate with wildlife as well. Whether or not they listen is another story.

Personality: Often mistaken for brooding or stoic, usually bored or emotionless. Fearless, but less out of bravery and more out of apathy. Little interest in others. Little interest in himself. Attention grabbed by atypical events.

Backstory: Mick never saw himself as different, if he did than that could mean something interesting, but his life was boring so he must be too. Sure, some things came a little harder to him than other people; as he grew older it became harder and harder to find things to be interested in, or to even have any sort of emotional response or reaction to. He ended up having to get in the habit of faking responses just so people wouldn’t think he was catatonic. Although a lack of motivation doesn’t mean a lack of action, he’s still kept up with his school work, even gotten a job, and he doesn’t slack at either. He does what’s expected of him, no point in falling behind everyone else, that’s not any less boring than keeping up with the times. He went through club after club in case any sparked something in him, and has only stuck with the Journalism club because it’s his last year and there is an occasional interesting development. But this card stuff... it’s completely baffling. How the hell is he of all people qualified for this? Well, it’s certainly grabbed his attention, at least.

Sunny/Rainy Day: The user can automaticly turn the weather to hot and summery, to raining. Nothing in-between can the user activate, but it only works for 20 minutes

Peace of Frey: A blast from the user that disarms any opponent in the blast radius, including the user however. Mainly a last- time trick, and puts a huge strain on the user.

Light Healing: The user can heal others with a warm glow from the hand, and can exhaust the User if used too much.

Sumarbrander Summoning: The user an automatically summons Frey`s Sword, Sumarbrander can increase the users powers in healing, but is not immune to Peace of Frey. Can be summoned into the users hand at any time they wish.

Personality: Hikari is a gentle soul, and is the kind of person who would give you a hug is he accident pushed you, but has some experience fighting, and has a bit of a rougher side
Backstory: Hikari ws born in Tokyo two his mom, who was a blond American, and his dad, who was a native Japanese guy. After Hikaru was Two, they moved to the USA, In Manhattan.
Hikari had a lot of fun as a kid, as his dad was an avid reader, and often read him sorties from mythology, and Hikari's favorite was Frey. He would often go outside just to explore, and "The Big apple" Was his home, and he lived for it. When he got to middle school, he had a few friends, and his middle school days were uneventful, with him struggling a bit of social studies, but not much else, and he started working in the library.

As he entered High-school, he enjoyed reading still, and applied to become a part-time librarian, which he enjoyed as he sat behind the desk and helped kids find books. He was considering becoming a historian however, and was often reading mythology books, and when he finally graduated he though he would just have a normal life....

Until the envelope showed up...........

Her hair is naturally a lively shade of orange and ends around the middle of her back. Her signature hairstyle is quite simplistic, a side park with a single braid clipped into her hair.

God Details: In Chinese mythology, Longmu was deified after raising five dragons from infants. The bond between the mother and dragons grew so deeply that they represent filial devotion, parental love, and family bonds. Dragons were revered as great water spirits, and so when Longmu's village fell into a drought, she called upon her dragon children who summoned rain to end the drought. She was then given the title of "Mother of Dragons".

Powers:
Partial transformation: With her newly acquired powers, Nastya is able to achieve a partial transformation. Her eyes shift from blue to an illuminating red, with larger, more flexible pupils. Her canines and incisors grow and sharpen into threatening weapons. Patches of grey scales gather below her eyes, fade into her hairline, and scatter around her neck without any distinguishable patterns. Her hands become four-fingered claws, each tipped with thick, black keratin talons. Ending at her elbows, the skin of her hands and forearms is replaced entirely with the same armored scales that decorate her face. With this transformation, she receives a mild strength boost. Her scaled arms are more resistant to physical and fire damage and somewhat resistant to other types of elemental damage. Her reflexes and senses are heightened. With higher levels, she will be able to breathe fire in her partial form.

Full transformation: Once her card increases in levels, Nastya will be able to achieve a full transformation. Her powered form will be that of an eastern style dragon. Not only is she able to fly in this form, but she is also an exceptional swimmer. She is also able to breathe fire in this form.

However, her powers come with a catch. They only activate when something or someone needs to be protected, helped, or saved. She is still working out the kinks, but it seems as if the criteria doesn't always have to be life-threatening. However, one thing is clear. They do not activate for her own safety, no matter the danger. At least, they haven't yet.


For dimensions, think of Haku from Spirited Away, but thicker and taller. Chihiro was a child and fit perfectly on Haku's back, Nastya's dimensions would fit similarly if Chihiro was an adult. If Haku's dragon head hung just above child Chihiro's shoulder, Nastya's would hang above the shoulder of an adult. She is covered in thick, steely grey colored scales and fur that darken near the tips of her ears. Her belly is covered in deep red colored plates. Her mane, which travels down nearly the entirety of her long body, is a bold red. She has three sets of legs, the back of each garnished with layers of fur.

Most would assume Nastya to be a cold, cynical individual due to her constant scowl and unblinking stare. This assumption would be only half correct. Nastya is very studious, and rightfully so given her current occupation. Her constant responsibilities enforce a strict schedule of social isolation. However, she hides a world of stress behind her emotionless expression. Not deep beneath her surface is a kind, compassionate soul. She is motherly, nurturing, and protective. Backstory:
Nastya was born to a wealthy family in Russia. Her father was a politician, and her mother devoted herself to being a stay at home mom. Nastya was the oldest of four siblings, all of which were born after she turned twelve, and thus tasked with raising them all as if she were their parent. Unfortunately, her siblings were all diagnosed with a rare genetic disease that shortened their lifespans significantly. This diagnosis damaged her parent's relationship significantly. While her mother receded into herself, Nastya devoted herself to her siblings. She felt such love and responsibility for them, that she thought of them less as her siblings and more like her own children. Sadly, the last of her siblings passed away when she was nineteen.

On top of the care of her siblings, Nastya received a private education. When she was college-ready, Nastya decided to study genetics in hopes to progress the use of DNA sequencing within the medical world. She applied for a student visa and eventually left Russia to complete a Ph.D. program in a different country.

Bastet was originally a fierce lioness warrior goddess of the sun worshiped throughout most of ancient Egyptian history. As protector of Lower Egypt, she was seen as defender of the king, and consequently of the sun god, Ra. Along with other deities such as Hathor, Sekhmet, and Isis, Bastet was associated with the Eye of Ra. She has been depicted as fighting the evil snake named Apep, an enemy of Ra. In addition to her solar connections, sometimes she was called "eye of the moon". Bastet was also depicted as the goddess of protection against contagious diseases and evil spirits.

Powers:
Night Vision- When using her godcard, Viola's eyes develop a yellow glow and slanted pupils, allowing her to view her surroundings even in darkness.
Claws Out- Viola's godcard allows her to extend long, pointed claws from her hands, which she can use for grappling onto surfaces or in self defense. Sometimes these claws may appear involuntarily when she is frightened or startled.
Agility - Bast's powers help amplify Viola's athletic skills, giving her superhuman flexibility and reflexes.
Sharp Nose - While the Godcard is active, Viola gains a powerful ability to sense and identify odors.
Kinship- Viola can interpret what cats are "saying" when her godcard is in use, and can also communicate back to them.

Personality: Viola may at first seem like a stereotypical ditzy cheerleader, but underneath her bubbly exterior you'll find a strong leader and empathetic friend. Whenever a classmate is going through some troubles, she's determined to try to be there with a patient ear and open arms. She always looks out for her fellow squad members, making sure to value their individual wellbeing above their team's physical achievements. Her trust in other people is sometimes greater than what would be considered wise, resulting in her naivete occasionally getting taken advantage of, but when she realizes that someone is trying to hurt her or the people she cares about, her attitude can go from cheery to ferocious in a second.

Backstory: Viola is the youngest child of Pauline and Taylor Anderson, known throughout West Valley for their flourishing paper mill business. Her brother William is the heir to the company and consequently, is the one upon whom most of the attention and praises were lavished upon growing up. William was the one sent off to an exclusive boarding school and given the best opportunities, while Viola was left to fend for herself at the local high school. Rather than feel bitter about her parents' neglect, she decided to focus her energies on giving others the care and affection that she was never able to receive, especially those who were "outcasts" in the cruel social hierarchy of West Valley High. While most of this behavior is definitely altruistic in nature, perhaps some of it is also to do with Viola's desire to feel needed and important by someone in her life. Her ultra girly image, while genuine, might also be seen as a sort of rebellion against her humorless and straight-laced family, who already have dismissed her as trivial and not worthy of notice.

God Details: In Hinduism, Yama was the first mortal to die and thus became the god of death, as there were no other mortals before him. As such he is responsible for not only guiding the souls of the dead but also passing judgement on them. As this is a daunting task, Yama also has several assistants to help him sort out the many souls. He is often seen riding a buffalo and wearing a crown of flames. There are also some myths that say Yama carries away certain souls with a noose that he has.

Powers: Karmic Reading- Yama has the power to read a person’s karma and determine fate of them. This allows him to learn of their past which Marcel can access by touching them. He can also determine a person’s intent by meeting their eyes. A person’s karma level is determined not only by the actions they’ve taken but also by the level of guilt they’ve felt and his own judgement on the actions done.

Conditional Power- A person’s Karmic level effects how powerful his powers are on someone. If a person has more negative karma then Marcel has the powers increase. However, he will become much weaker against someone who has positive karma.

Retribution- Negative karma level, can force others to suffer whether it’s them being forced to relive a trauma or having them be trapped in their fears.

Reward- Positive karma level, allows him to power up and even heal

Summoning- There are 2 types of beings that Yama can summon. The first is buffalo his mount the second are his assistants who resemble small skeletons however they are not particularly strong and usually break apart when hit so summoning and maintaining them takes energy. The buffalo is more autonomous but loyal whereas the assistants are single minded and focus on the order they receive unless otherwise told not to. He also has the power to summon a noose to him.

Minor Pyrokinesis- While he cannot create fire, he can use the fire around him and suffers no injuries from it unless it is a sacred flame of another deity.

Personality: Marcel is a very laid-back person. He has this easy-going nature about him that people like or find irritating. He often brushes off any snide comments and will usually forgive others unless they’ve done something to really piss him off. He hides his emotions well and it usually takes a lot for him to show how he feels but he does feel them. More self-serving than most but does help others sometimes.

Backstory: Marcel was someone whose parents always wanted the best for him and were able to deliver on this idea. They managed to give him the best teachers, instructors, anything really. He never really minded not having family around as much and he always behaved himself. Not out of fear, out of the fact that it was more of a hassle to go against them. Even through all his formative years, he never really felt that happiness he’d see in others. He had friends from all walks of life, but the joy he’d see in their eyes was not something he really experienced. He tried drinking which didn’t really make him feel better only ill. Extreme situations provided him adrenaline but not happiness. Most of the time, he felt he was hollow. Then he received his card.
