Name: Ibrahim Cygnus Black

Appearance: He has olive skin with short black hair and brown eyes. Sometimes he will grow a beard and stands at 5'10" with a weight of 154 lbs. His most distinct feature are his cheekbones. He has a rose tattoo on his left shoulder and a dove on his inner left wrist.
History: Ibrahim was born David Cygnus Black. He was born in Augusta, ME and lived there until the start of middle school when he moved to Lakewood, OH. Ibrahim had a good childhood but his mother wasn't often home so he was left with a babysitter who abused him as a child as she struggled to put herself through school on a waiter salary. Ibrahim never told his mother about the abuse he suffered as he didn't want to create problems for his mom when money was tight. When he and his mom were still living in ME, his mom met Adam Lake and after two years of engagement they got married. Then his siblings were born during the following years. His mom graduated from college and they moved to Ohio when his step father got a promotion from work. Ibrahim got into some trouble as a teen and became rebellious due to his childhood past and started drinking at fifteen as well as falling into a bad crowd. Then his mom and step dad hit a rough patch where money became tight when his step father got injured in an accident and was off work for two years. Ibrahim managed to graduate though despite everything and graduated at 17. When he was eighteen he had a job but was convicted of the rape and murder of a young woman. Ibrahim had stolen from the woman before to help out with bills at home and he was sent to jail for five years. After his friend was turned in and DNA evidence was tested, Ibrahim was released but the damage between his family was done. He was disowned in jail and became Muslim while in jail, taking the name Ibrahim. Once he got out he left for Colorado where he got a job, a dog and began working to save up money to travel the world when he saw an opportunity to try to leave his past behind him and start fresh but the time in jail and his alleged crimes made it hard for him to keep a job. So, he sold everything he owned except some clothes and his dog and they left for new lands and experiences.
Why did you choose to travel: To get a fresh start after getting out of jail




Name: Laodike Grigorevna Fedorov

Appearance: At first glance, Laodike seems normal...that is until you get closer and realize the right half of her face is scarred by what appears to be from burns or acid for her skin is lighter on the right side of her face than should be so when she smiles, it is often a twisted smile. In addition to her noticable disfigurement, she has some burn scars on her limbs and a dog bite scar on the back of her neck from when she was a child and was attacked by a feral dog. Most of the time this puts people off from speaking to her, people don't take the time to get to know the young woman underneath the scar. Sadly Laodike has accepted that because of her disfiguration she causes fear in others but has learned to live with her appearance though it was difficult at first. Laodike has fair skin and a lean figure with slender fingers. Long blond hair falls past her shoulders and a pair light blue eyes stare out at the world around her. She isn't tall and thus doesn't have an impressive figure to her, rather she can probably be counted as the shorter side of average at only 5'0" and weighs a mere 108 lbs. She speaks with a Russian accent, her laughter like the peals of bells-or so she has been told, and her voice is light with a contralto tone, being soft-spoken in speech.

History: Laodike was born in Saratov Russia, a city with a population of 840,000 souls on December 21st. She grew up in a modest home with her older brother, parents and maternal grandmother. From an early age, hard work was instilled in Laodike and her brother and both children took that to heart. Always a studious child with a love for learning, it was in school as a child with a substitute teacher named Mrs. Davidson, that she wanted to become a teacher and mold young minds. Laodike excelled within school and soon gained a scholarship to America to attend university, a chance she eagerly took to see a new country and gain a good higher education.

Arriving in the United States, Laodike had to take English as a Second Language classes for a while after arriving before she could hope to begin her major in the education field, specifically elementary education. Alone in a new country was scary but also exciting, her family remaining behind within Russia. She studied hard in school to get good grades and have a good GPA so she could make her parents and grandmother proud, her brother didn't really care as long as she was happy and not studying constantly as he has told her in the past she needs to have fun once in a while and not be so serious. When she was in her sophomore year of university, she found out that her paternal grandfather had died and she was unable to go to the funeral for fear that if she left the country she wouldn't be able to come back to finish her degree...it is something she regrets as it was her last chance to see her grandfather and say her goodbyes since she was close with both her grandparents.

Entering into a relationship with a man named Lawrence, a student originating from somewhere within the Caribbean and studying Electrical Engineering, at first she thought he was charming. Only two months ago she found she was pregnant and instead of being happy, he attacked her, leaving her with the distinguishing scar on her face and causing her to miscarry. Despite this she pushed herself through school and when she graduated, her parents paid for her to go on a trip as part of her graduation gift before she starts a career as a teacher. Now she is on to a new adventure in hopes of making some life long friends and maybe to find romance as well.
Why did you decide to travel: Her parents paid for the journey before she begins her career.

History: She grew up in a small fishing village within Quebec, Canada where she helped her parents on their fishing trips as well as tending her younger siblings with her mother.
Why did you choose to travel: She wanted to see the world and everything it had to offer.

History: Growing up in China, he lived within one of the outer lying provinces in the south, growing rice with his family and others in his village. They didn't have much going for them in terms of wealth so he had to work hard at what schooling his parents saved up for. His parents would send him to Shanghai to live with his uncle and grandparents to take care of them and get a better start when he turned thirteen where he grew up studying and going to school, helping his uncle within a bakery. He had a friend within the Uyghur Muslims who was killed as a child which caused him to hate his government and people.
Why did you choose to travel: He wanted to escape the fighting when he got old enough fled after completing college, not wanting to fight against a people who were being harmed for their religion.

History: Aytac's father was a Greek Muslim while her mother was Turkish. They met in Syria where her father was visiting relatives and her mother was a nurse. But this was a time when there was unrest, a period between Bashar's uprising and their involvement in the Iraq War. All that Aytac has known is war and fear from the time she was a baby. Her father was killed in an attack when she was eight, leaving her mother to raise four children alone. Despite the violence, Aytac forced herself to attend school, as much as she was able, with the violence around her. After her father's death they moved in with her father's parents where they found a bit of stability. Aytac helped to care for her paternal grandparents and did odd jobs around the village her parents lived in until she turned seventeen when her family finally returned home to Ankara, Turkey. She got pregnant at seventeen after getting raped at her job by a tourist. As soon as she turned eighteen, she signed up for Atlantic University and got a sponsorship before flying to America to begin a new life with her son.
