Our Story

Have you ever wondered about the wonders of high school? The time that every child has to go through no matter what. Some disliked going while others enjoyed spending their time with their friends or being able to learn something new every day. The several events that would take place to make everyone communicate with each other. Be it through sports games or just daytrips to a historic town where they had to do several assignments, it brought people together in some way. Of course there were still the daily lessons that had to be taken and tests were given to the students to test their knowledge and persistence. Some had to repeat a year but this was a rare occasion as most students gave it their all to succeed the bare minimum.

At Ueno High, situated in Tokyo, hung a peaceful atmosphere. Students liked to go there despite it being an actual school or that was what the principal liked to think. This place would be the start of our story. Are you ready? Because I am.

Nayumi Tomaru
Time & Date: Morning [3th April 2017].
Location: Courtyard.
Interactions: Nobody.

Today was the first day she had to go to school again. The start of her last year in high school. Due to her parents’ work, she had to move back to Japan and was obliged to finish up school there. She didn’t like the idea of it as she had adjust to the customs once again, the long hours that she would need to study and pay attention to the teachers. She couldn’t do anything but sigh at the thought of it. To make things worse, she didn’t know anybody in the school either as she didn’t think anyone from junior high would go to Ueno High. If it did happen it would be a miracle especially since Tokyo had so many schools to begin with.

Her journey started with the bus as her parents were already at work. They would probably stay at a hotel as business seemed to be busy and it was too much of a hassle to transport from home to their working place constantly. It would also take away their precious time to sleep. She didn’t mind them doing so but it felt lonely to come home without anybody welcoming her. But she grew accustomed to the lifestyle as she had no other choice. She didn’t want to bother her parents too much either as she knew how hard they worked in order for them to live a peaceful life. Yet because of this situation she learned how to cook pretty well and her friends in England complimented her about it whenever she would bring lunch to school. It wasn’t unusual for them to steal some of her food, though she would always get something in return which was nice.

After five minutes of waiting at the bus stop, it arrived. She got on quickly and chose a place to sit however gave it up to an elderly woman who didn’t manage to sit on an empty spot. The woman thanked her gratefully which made Nayumi a little embarrassed due to the stares she received from other people. As she stood near the exit of the bus, she was able to look outside and watch the scenery passing her by. The bus that she was on wasn’t too crowded as most of the students probably came from other directions. Feeling a little lucky as she wasn’t squeezed against the window or between people. It would smell badly too if so many people were cramped into one place.

It took about twenty minutes before she arrived at the closest bus stop from the school. Getting off with a handful of other people. In the street it was a lot more crowded. She ran a hand through her red hair, a breeze gently blowing through it. She took in her surroundings before she started moving. Feeling slightly nervous which didn’t show on her poker face. It was only a short walk before she arrived at the school domain and went through the gate. All the students started to gather in the courtyard where a podium was situated. Chairs were placed in front of it. She received a piece of paper at the entrance where her classroom was written down on so she only needed to go to the seats with 3-B written down on it. She sat down at the furthest end somewhere in the middle, only one person would be able to sit to her right. That way she felt like she could breathe easier as she only needed to deal with one person next to her.

She placed her bag next to her seat and then waited for the speech to begin. Fifteen minutes later, the principal came on stage and started talking about the school year and welcomed the students who joined them this year. Luckily she wasn’t called to the stage and only her name was mentioned with a handful of other transfer students. Her eyes went down to the ground while listening. Feeling tired due to the nerves she had been having for the past few days.

Mr.

JACKSON
Jackson woke up feeling drowsey the idea of going to school wasn't helping him get out of bed. He doubted that he can stay at home though his father would never allow it speaking of which if Jackson didn't know any better his father would have sent someone by now. Before he did Jackson slowly got up taking a quick shower throwing on a white robe. Going back into his room he found his uniform on the bed ironed, washed and ready to be worn. Throwing his white coat on his shoulders he grabbed his backpack and left without even bothering to look for his father.

Going to school was a hassle the things he had to deal with were unbelievable, stepping out the black car he was met with a blond haired boy which Jackson didn't bother getting old throwing his backpack words the boy who seemed only a year older. Jackson opened his palm to receive a paper of the seat he was to sit in, crumbling the paper once he did and sitting down ignoring the person next to him. The blond haired kid flinched once he heard his name, "Akiyama...get me something to drink." Jackson said with a sweet smile handing him his wallet. The boy hesitantly grabbed the wallet not sure if he should leave since the orientation was about to start, but left nonetheless.

It took a while for the principle to finally appear on stage making a couple of an announcement Jackson wasn't really paying attention until he heard a familiar name which caused the calm collected boy to go wide-eyed for a seconded.

Ashley waited on the stage for the Principal to call her up. As far as most things went, she was still getting use to the concepts of Japan. Unlike America, things were a lot cleaner but the hustle and bustle of city life and the public transit system was insane. People didn't seem to stop moving in this city. It was hard, considering her parents weren't here. Living by yourself was already a tough bargain not to mention living in a place with a bunch of people who knew English as a second language didn't help either.

Still, Ashley had been practicing and it seemed to work if she'd gotten elected as the class president. Of course, if there was one thing she truly loved about Japan, it was the pranks. Japanese game shows were on another level above American TV and it almost was inspiring for Ashley to see what they thought of. Of course, within the school system itself, Ashley found her pranks had challenges.

The school was strict, and clean up afterwards made it almost impossible to set pranks beforehand. Thankfully for Ashley, clean-ups also gave her the perfect opportunity to lay traps around the school.

Even now, at this moment, she'd managed to sneak in a stink bomb into the administrative office. By the time her speech was finished, it should already have gone off. She'd also hidden a creme pie under the podium but for some reason, the Principal hadn't been hit. She'd probably check the screws again. Perhaps the spring got jammed.

Ahhh, well I still just can't wait to see his reaction. Ashley waited patiently before the Principal called her up and she took the stand.

"Good morning Ueno High! And to our new students, a warm welcome!

I'm Ashley Jenkins, your current student council representative! As you can probably tell, I'm from the good old U.S.A but don't let that dissuade you! In the end, I believe that this school makes us all equal.

Here, I'm no better than you and vice versa. We are here to succeed together and through hard work and spirit, I know we can pass these upcoming tests!

I've been working with our council to have some fun events planned throughout the quarter, including study sessions for those of you who need extra-"

SPLAT!

Out of the thin sheet of brown paper, the pie was sprung and slammed Ashley straight in the face, covering her in whip cream and dough.

Well...at least it worked. She thought to herself in annoyance. There would probably be laughter, and to a degree, Ashley couldn't help but join in at her own expense. After all, she was out to prank someone on the stage. If she just happened to be the unfortunate victim, well...who could say she'd committed the crime in the first place?

Still, as she was escorted off stage and into the bathroom, Ashley wondered if she'd given a good enough speech? Well, it'd certainly be a memorable one at least.

Akihiko Watanabe~The Idol~Location: Courtyard~Tags: kinda the president

A white wall, dull and poorly painted was the first thing Akihiko saw as he woke up. Rolling over onto the other side of the bed, he propped himself up onto the side of the bed. He swerved his head around, looking over his surroundings; he noted how dark it was. The curtains were closed, and the only light in the room was the dark, green light emitted from his alarm clock. Take out boxes and noodle cups strewn about the beige carpet, no obvious stains yet a distinct smell in the air. "An idol living like this," he chuckled to himself, standing up. It was perfect.
He was on his third day of living in this cramped apartment with no fans or public outside his house. "School starts today," he said to himself, slipping on his clothing. He strolled into his proportinally as cramped bathroom to do his daily routine. The Idol brushed his teeth, hair, and washed his face, amd he was done. It was a simple routine, but it worked for him. Drying off his face, he moved from the bathroom to the living area to come face to face with a large gift basket. There was a note attached to it. Akihiko took it off and read aloud, "Good luck kid, your manager." It brought a smile to his face as he looked over the contents. It was filled with the typical bread and fruit. He took a piece and walked out the door.
It didn't take long for him to walk to school; he chose a rather close location to do so. As he walked through the front gates, he got some stares and glances but nothing overwhelming. He took a deep breath and exhaled. He was going to try and make the best of this year. He got his class slip, 3-B, and took his seat at the opening ceremony. It was boring and cliche until the president took a pie to the face. His first reaction was to see if she was okay, but he stayed in his seat, followed the crowd and laughed quietly.

odagiri tomoe currently in the courtyard by himself
tomoe was not a morning person by any stretch of the imagination. most days featured an intense battle between boy and alarm clock, complete with tired groans and mumbled curses, feet dragging against the wood of his 1k as he made his way to the bathroom, and today was no different. despite the fact that this struggle had now put him off schedule, he fought to keep the grin from his face. it was his third year! he was so excited to maybe finally become who he wanted to be, or at the very least, truer to himself, before this final year was over. he washed his face and showered, tossing his hair and making silly faces in his mirror. he slipped into his uniform, familiar if still not precisely his taste, and made an executive decision to place the hair accessory sent to him by his sister into his hair for a more personal touch. he hit his face once, twice, and was out of the door.

tomoe lived a fair walk away from the train station he needed to take to get to school, the distance a sort of security from prematurely revealing his nature. he filed on, reacquainting himself with the heat of dozens of bodies crammed together in such a tight space. he felt the breath of the person behind him on his neck, shivered, and pressed on. today was going to be a good day!

once he got off, it was another considerable walk to the gates of his school, and he tended to walk slowly. by the time he arrived, the seats were near full and the principal had already began speaking. he swore softly under his breath and attempted to sit without attracting attention to himself, settling down and trying not to die of boredom. he listened only vaguely, and noted with mild envy the soft western beauty of the student body president. the jealousy was swiftly replaced by vicious, hiccuping, open-mouthed giggles, leading tomoe to cover his face to attempt to muffle the noise. his face splotched pink as he observed the pie splashed across her face, surprised at how much humor he found in what he'd normally call a dumb, tired slapstick. yeah, it was safe to say he had a pretty good feeling about this year.

Fukuyo Jiro

Jiro woke up early like every morning, jogging through his neighborhood, occasionally saying good morning to any of his neighbors who are going off to their early bird shifts. During his run Jiro passed Ueno High, at the time it looked empty due to how early it was, but he knew that in a couple of hours the place will be packed with students and teachers alike. Every so often Jiro would slow down to shadow box, maybe throw out a few punches before working on his foot work.

After a solid run Jiro had circled his way back home and now his parents were starting to get up, though Jiro didn't give them that much attention as he went to the bathroom, taking a shower and doing other morning routine things. After that Jiro grabbed an apple off the kitchen counter and left for school, which was a short walk away from his house. Upon arriving at the front gates Jiro took the last few bites of his breakfast before throwing it away. Jiro took his class slip which read 3-B. Sitting down in a middle seat Jiro wasn't really paying attention to the students beside him. Like most of his peers Jiro had his eyes glued to the podium.

The principal talked for a while, he began to lost off names of transfer students, Jiro could care less except for when one name was called, Nayumi Tomaru. A suprised look washed over Jiro's face, did he miss hear the principle? There was no way that she would come back so suddenly, Jiro began to look around for his old friend, but he couldn't recognize her. Mumbling a curse Jiro leaned back in his seat, looking back at the podium to see the student council president take a pie to her face. He chuckled for a bit as the girl was escorted off the stage.

Nayumi Tomaru

Time & Date: Morning [3th April 2017].
Location: Class 3-B.
Interactions: [Open for interaction.]

Nayumi watched the student president when she got hit by a pie full of whipped cream. She covered her mouth in an attempt to stifle the noise of her laugh. After all it was quite the remarkable performance the girl had given and it almost felt like it’d be rude not to laugh. As the president was guided of the stage to clean herself up, Nayumi stared after her. Thinking that she looked like a foreigner which she probably was. It was rare for a foreigner to come to school in Japan but that made things only more fun if one would ask her. It was also a chance to improve their English while they were at it. In London, it was quite the change that she had to go through because of the different customs and language, especially the dialects were a little difficult to understand. While overseas she also decided to dye her black hair into a red colour which suited her to her surprise.

But now that the student president had gotten off the stage, the principal ended his little speech with some wishes of good luck and sending everyone of to their respective homeroom teacher who would be standing at the edges with a board in their hands. It seemed like class 3-B was in the hands of Miss Nakamura. She followed the moving board with the other students until they reached the classroom. It smelled fresh, a small odour of lemon hanging around which made it more pleasant to sit inside. The windows were slightly opened as well, just enough for some air to get inside. Now the weather was still good they had to take the best out of it.

Everybody was allowed to choose a seat of their own choice so Nayumi did the same as during the speech from before. Sitting somewhere in the middle, towards the edge. She luckily managed to grab a seat next to one of the windows, that way she could just stare outside whenever class was too boring for her. Once everybody was seated Miss Nakumara greeted the students as most of them had already been here for two years. However Nayumi couldn’t escape the small introduction of transfer student. ”We also have a transfer student with us this year. Please introduce yourself to the class.” The teacher said while looking straight at Nayumi. She groaned before standing up and started: ”My name is Nayumi Tomaru. I’m seventeen years old and I’ll hopefully graduate with all of you this year. Nice to meet you.” After she said that, she sat down immediately. The teacher seemed to be satisfied though.

”Since it’s the first day of school, I haven’t planned much. But I do have some brainteasers and puzzles for the upcoming classes that you can fill in. It won’t be graded so you can just fill in what you can answer. You can talk to each other but don’t make it too loud.” The teacher explained and passed through the papers so every student had 3 of them with both the front and back full of questions and blank spaces.

Nayumi blinked as she read some of the questions, some of them were even in English which was an easy task for her. It would keep her busy since she didn’t know anybody in the classroom anyway. Though there were two students that did seem familiar to her. Perhaps she had forgotten about how they looked like or they just changed too much in the two years that she was away. Glancing at them for mere seconds before focusing back on the assignment.

Ashley cleaned herself up as she tuned out the Principal's regular lecture on how deviants were taking over the school and how as president, she should be helping the administration catch them.

I'm not going to turn myself in. Ashley thought to herself. Besides, it got people laughing, even if it was unintentional. After she was excused, Ashley headed for her class when she saw the introduction of the new transfer student.

The girl seemed so...boring in Ashley's eyes. To monotone. Too quiet. Still, it was the quiet ones that often had the most colorful personalities. Ashley assumed she'd be sitting next to the transfer student, mainly because for the longest time Ashley was sitting next to an empty desk.

Still, she clapped after the speech and joined Nayumi by her desk.

"So I heard you're a new transfer student? Where did you go before?" Ashley asked.

Mr.

JACKSON

Jackson's eye twitched almost instantly it wasn't a pleasant sight. The president looked almost pitiful the pie dripping down from her face and her expression all of it was cringy to watch. It ended really quick after the incident at least it felt like it. Jackson was trying to forget the whole incident. More importantly, one of the new transfer students that specific name it sounded familiar. Entering the class he took the seat in the last row and waited for the teacher to start. He wasn't really the type of person to listen to the teacher the only reason he passed every class was that of those other smart kids. And bribing the teachers, which was easy with a couple of zeros.

Yawning sleepily Jackson played his forehead on the desk taking his glasses off in order not to break them. Just his luck the teacher came surprisingly she quickly started introducing the transfer student. To Jackson surprise, she looked familiar but it still wasn't coming to him yet when she talked it hit him like a fresh of cold air. The female transfer student sat down in one of the empty seats. Once the teacher passed out the papers when Jackson got up asking the teacher if he could sit next to someone. Approaching Nayumi he ignored the President merely smiling towards her to show her respect. Grabbing his chair he eyed Nayumi, "Do you remember me?" he said waving his hand in her face.

Fukuyo Jiro

Jiro made was way to his classroom with the rest of his classmates. He hung around the back of the group as always, it didn't seem like any of Jiro's friends were in his class which sacked, but he could always skip class to hang out with them. Being one of the last students to walk into the classroom the teen's brown eyes instantly went to the back row and to his dismay he saw Jackson Young, welp there goes any chance of sitting in the back row. Jiro never liked "Mr. Popular" the guy who orders and bullies others, the two fight constantly and Jiro always comes out on top due to his prowess in boxing.

Shifting his eyes down a few rows Jiro spotted a seat near the window, the seat was somewhat in the middle, it was the second row and normally he disliked seats that close to the teacher there wasn't a better option. Sitting down and propping his head up on his hand, staring out the window with a bored expression. Once the teacher walked in and began to talk she introduced a new exchange student, Nayumi Tomaru. When Nayumi started to speak Jiro quickly turned around, just now realising that she was sitting right behind him. Now getting to see her Jiro now understood why he couldn't recognize her, she dyed her hair red. Jiro did the same except his is now blonde, but now he could recognize her. What were the chances that Nayumi and Jackson would be in the same class as him?

After the teacher explained what they were doing today and passing out the homework Jiro quickly spun around in his chair. He was excited and nervous to talk with his old friend... if she remembered him of course. Jiro opened his mouth to say something, but he was cut off by the student council president and then by Jackson himself. Not paying much attention to the president Jiro took a quick glance at Jackson, or course he would remember her. He then remained quiet, not wanting to overload Nayumi with all the people approaching her.

Nayumi filled in the question about the English language which she easily solved. She was glad that she had been living abroad so that this would be a piece of cake for her. Tapping with the back of her pen against the wooden desk before her eyes went to the school president who seemed to be interested in Nayumi all of a sudden. Nodding in silence towards the girl with a faint smile on her lips which disappeared in only a matter of seconds. Before she could say something, they were interrupted by a too familiar voice.

Eyes widened as she looked at the person who she remembered from junior high. Her heart seemed to be on a standstill for about three seconds before it was able to beat normally again. When the guy grabbed a chair and sat down in her range, her expression stiffened as she remembered him too well for her own good. However she was feeling differently now, it wasn’t the loving kind but more of a regretting, sad one as she wasn’t able to confess to him in junior high. Those feelings still lingered inside of her after all.

”Mhm… You’re Jackson, right. It’s been a while…” She managed to respond to him with a soft voice, barely audible for the other to hear. Catching the glance of the one in front of her whose eyes seemed to be very recognizable. Those dark brown eyes which almost seemed completely black like those of a kind-hearted demon. She couldn’t stop her curiosity as her eyes lingered on the male his back as if she was trying to figure out who it was. ”And isn’t that… Jiro-kun?” She said in a questioning tone of voice.

Jackson smiled hearing his friends response yet he couldn't help but notice that she wasn't acting like she usually did. Well, who would? Everyone changes no one stays the same. Jackson opened his mouth to respond yet was interrupted by Nayumi calling out a familiar name. It caused his eye to twitch in annoyance turning around he meet face to face with Jiro casually poking him in the head as if they have been friends for years. This was a common action he would do to people lower than him ad Jiro was low. He loved to annoy him especially in front of the person he loved, Nayumi.
It was noticeable how he looked at her Jackson noticed it in a split second almost as if he read his mind, Jackson personally didn't like the boy's affection to someone he considered very close to him.

"
Look who decided to show up, your early." he said jokingly with a smile, "You could of at least said hi"
Jackson said putting his arm on the blond boy's shoulder tightening it as he spoke, "
Why'd you come in late?"
