Digital Game Development Stuff

[KiKi Kitsune]

I work on some game development when I get the chance. I'm hoping that posting here will encourage me to work on it more. Any feedback is always appreciated! When I get alpha out (eventually) I'll share them here for anyone who wants to playtest it for me.

Games I'm working on:

  Your typical visual novel with teenage kids at a magic school. This is the first game I ever started and has been on the backburner for a few years now.
  
  Initial character design is by a friend of mine (who also helps me bounce around ideas for plot) Their art keeps changing as we both get better, so I need to remake their sprites yet again.
  
  Here are some super old chibis I made of the 3 main romance interests

  Chris is a happy little bean... Tall bean. He likes video games and is just generally a fun guy.
  

  

  
  

  Hayden

  
  Hayden is a bit of a grump, but he's smart so it makes up for it. He doesn't speak much. Megane.

  Damien is a shy, little cinnamon roll. He wears oversized clothes and is almost always listening to music.

  Essence is another visual novel but with a far larger cast. You play as an adrogynous character with your choice of male and female characters to romance. Your car breaks down in a strange town and you get to talk to the locals while you wait for it to get repaired.
  
  As for characters, there are too many to list here (maybe at a later date when they all actually have art of them or are at least more finalised in design). For now, here are a handful of the designs. Yes, this isn't even all of them.

  Dragon Scales (as I call it for short) is actually based off an RP that I started on this very site! We did end up moving to gdocs for easier access and it's still ongoing several hundered pages of text later (I think we're almost at 300 now). It's yet another visual novel. Dragon Scales follows Aino, a simple trapper in the woods, when he one day finds a very strange girl caught and wounded in one of his nets.

  Kinda a visual novel, but at least more interactive. Probably considered an RPG adventure.
  
  Based on the Hanahaki disease where you cough flowers when suffering from feelings of unrequited love. The goal is to get the other person to return your feelings before it's too late.
  
  Too late meaning death.
  
  There are six different stories to play through, each following a different couple. I'll put the details of each up at a later date when I actually have some of each couples' art done.

More sprites and idle animations. The dog belongs to Lexi (who I'm redoing the sprite of cause I'm not happpy with it) and Drystan. Tall boi security guard. He also has two outfits. Doggo friend is actually causing issues with walking animation - the humans would have less frames than the dog from what references I've found. Note: it's not super easy to find a video of a specific dog breed walking.
These are way bigger than they would be in-game so you can see them easier.
