Gabriel McClintock

The Glass Ninja

The High Tower's Guard

"Bloody Murder, because we're hard to shift.

...

And we'll kill you."

Full Name: Gabriel Peter McClintock

Nickname(s): "Glasgow", "Black-eye" or "Clockwork"
Called 'G-man' by his friend Bihn.

Birth date: 2026

Birth place: Glasgow, Scotland, UK

Age: 25

Social Class: Middle. Most of his social contacts are his brothers friends, and his organisation members.

Gender: Male

Height: 6ft

Weight: 200llbs

Body type: Broad shouldered, thick set.

Race: Caucasian

Eye color: Blue

Hair color and Style: Black, swept back shoulder length - bound back when necessary.

Skin tone: Pale

Glasses/Contacts: None

Accessories and cybernetics: Left eye is nothing more than a cybernetic implant, slightly darker colour than the right eye - lost in a gang fight just under a decade ago. Provides slight HUD and limited scanning features while looking mostly normal.

Clothes: Generally wears a collection of suits and ties for daylight work and negotiation.
Otherwise, can be found in T-shirts and simple jackets if simply working on projects or planning operations, or blending in.

Combat gear consists of black fatigues and combat harness, as well as a body armour and ballistic mask.

Personal weapons:
Hostock 2040 special - semi automatic pistol, fifteen round clip, holdout weapon; generally worn in a back holster or under the arm. Extremely difficult to detect due to the materials used in its construction, the Hostock is a perfect piece of protection for a businessman on the run or a negotiator expecting trouble, capable of punching a melon sized hole in a man.

FN Series 8 Heavy pistol: combat pistol, ten round capacity, capable of taking many different ammo types - linked to cybernetic enhancements and used for situations where death dealing is on the agenda. Armour piercing rounds are the usual loadout.

MAS Marteau Assault rifle: High calibre assault rifle, extended magazine and holosight also capable of linking to cybernetic enhancements; underslung shotgun. Matte black and slung on a strap, potential for bayonet mount - if anyone used bayonets anymore.

"Marceline" - an eight inch long combat knife and family heirloom. Carved with the initials of every McClintock to carry her. Gabriel is the fourth.

Personal vehicles: A beat up 2045 Suzuki roadbike, sleek white, well used.

Other items: Bits and pieces, a few rings of various material and make.

Tattoos: A stylised black dragon across his right collarbone.

Occupation:
Overtly: A contractor for various organisations and governments, a gun for hire thriving in a world of corporate espionage and warfare.
Covertly: The leader of Bloody Murder, anarchist group and anti-corp cell seeking to see the fall of the capitalist nightmare the world has become.

Housing: A new enough apartment on the edge of Nevereign - a few furnished rooms, a kitchen, a fancy security lock, and a conveniently hidden  ladder out the back window.

Likes: Whisky, a good deal, intense violence, decent food, bringing down those in power, shitty TV shows, and old metal music, speed, and explosions. Also has a fondness for paper books, however rare to find.

Dislikes: Corporations and the filthy weakling governments that support them, incompetence, weakness, and a lack of conviction. Also hates a lot of modern music.

Fears: Failure. Failure to his comrades, failure to his cause, failure to himself. Imprisonment. Betrayal.

Wishes: The death of the corps and the rise of a better system. Also wants his cat, Bosco, to come back. Bosco is currently living with Ms. Jenkins two floors up.

Personality: There's almost two sides to the coin that makes up Gabe McClintock. The first side the smiling suave smooth talker who laughs at the jokes fielded by limp wristed turkey necks the corps call negotiators. But his eyes are cold and hard and the smiles never reach them. This changes when on a job or around his friends; genuinely relaxed and fluid, capable of telling real jokes - but snapping into a serious mood at the drop of a hat; ready to kill or be killed and take as many of his bastard enemies as he can down with him.

Character Flaws: Slow to trust, uses violence to cope, borderline alcoholic, sadistic, irrationally hateful, extremely quick tempered .

Family Members, and relationship with each:
Mira McClintock - Aunt and surrogate mother, erstwhile supplier of cash.
Gregory McClintock - Brother, also living in Nevereign; owner of a small shipping company.
Amy Powler - Sister, married, two kids; hasn't spoken to Gabriel in five years and that suits them both fine.
Jackson Powler - Nephew, moved to Nevereign to be with his uncles, ended up in with a bad crowd.
Parents: Deceased.

History/Background: Born into a corporate family, in the middle of a corporate compound in inner city Glasgow - you'd think that Gabriel would be on the side of the corps no matter what sort of
shit they threw at each other or the government.

You'd be dead wrong.

When he was ten years old, Gabriel was left with his younger brother and sister while their dad went out to work. His security uniform immaculate and gun holstered tight to his belt he'd given them a quick smile and told them he'd be home later when shift was over. A wave, and a closing door was the last they ever saw of George McClintock - and being thrown out the door of the compound was the first they heard of his death. Blown to bits in a terrorist raid, they were told, as their Dad's old friend Sammy pushed them out the compound gate. A damn shame, and good luck out there!

It took a week before a desperate aunt wracked with worry and guilt managed to find them. Mira had been their dad's only sister, and had only seen them once before. When she found them, Gabriel almost charged the teary-eyed woman with the bit of glass he'd used to ward off desperate junkies and creeps for the last week - the street trash had learned to fear the little man with the angry eyes.

Their aunt had been far more successful than their father, living out in a gated community that marred one of the few forests left living in the country; the kids barely made a dent on the empty rooms in her house. Being put through a fine education, and given everything they could ever want, the three siblings grew up very differently - Gabriel, burning with rage and anger, lashed out in any way he could; getting stabbed in the eye by some ganger with hardly two braincells to rub together was a harsh wakeup call.

After that, he threw himself into training - his Aunt set him up with an ex-special forces instructor, Dave, and the pair became fast friends. It didn't take long before Gabriel could fight with the best of them, and his hatred for the state of the world only grew as he watched the corporations and their abuses of power only become more flagrant. He was barely seventeen when Dave set him up with a job; get inside a corporate tower with a small team, and kill everyone on the twelfth floor. The infiltration went perfectly, and the bloodbath that followed was on the newsnets for weeks; fifty employees, mostly management and executive assistants had been blown into greasy chunks all over the room.

What Dave had failed to mentioned, was that the job was from a corp - but the money was good enough for Gabriel to realise that sometimes working for the enemy was just a good way to get inside their guard so you could stab them in the heart. The next few years were spent doing jobs here and there and slowly honing his skills till a move to Nevereign with his brother in 2048 put him in the perfect position to start taking on his real enemies. Establishing Bloody Murder - the anarchist group - and finding men like Bihn and Greg to help him bring down the corruption he detested with all his being. The on-and-off merc became an anarchist devil, his blood splattered ballistic mask already becoming a corporate bogey man three years in - the thrill of putting down a company bastard filling every inch of his rage corded form with glee.

@The Glass Ninja

I'm interested to see how an anti-corporate character will twist the plot. Glad to have a character like this - approved.
