PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Description of Character: Standing at 5'8" tall, Eddie isn't the tallest of males, and tends to keep his shoulders slightly hunched anyway, whereas Mayhem will always stand tall, trying to look as intimidating as possible. Black, messy hair often flops down over his emerald eyes, often helped by one of his many hoodies. His skin is pale, marred with scars across his arms when previous breakdowns have led to him trying to get rid of Mayhem, and other scars that certainly don't seem self inflicted. He's thin, and not very strong, though Mayhem often seems stronger due to his personality. His scars are always covered, and he's never told anyone about them, not even his friends, whom he is surprised keep him in their group.

WHO ARE THEY?
Background: Eddie doesn't know much about his mother. According to his abusive father, she disappeared because she couldn't stand to raise hell-spawn such as Eddie, and this claim only became worse when Eddie developed his split personality at age 7, Mayhem, named as such because whenever he took over to protect Eddie, his father would always be mad afterward and would have caused trouble. More than once Eddie has tried to 'remove' Mayhem, through various methods, though most involved trying to end himself. His attempts have become few and far between, however, now that he has friends, since he doesn't want to disappoint them. Mayhem usually takes over when he feels that Eddie is in trouble, whether physically or mentally, and he has shown his face around their friends before.

Personality: Eddie is a rather nervous, but calculating individual, tending to enjoy puzzles and a challenge. He doesn't often speak of any personal issues, despite having plenty, and this is usually because he wants to avoid the pitying looks he's gotten before. However, he cares very much about his friends, less so about his father, and will do anything for them. He would never harm even a fly, he'd always rather talk an argument out. Mayhem, however, never thinks before he acts. He loves violence, especially if it will help keep Eddie safe, but also shares the love for his friends, though it's certainly a more possessive version of Eddies own feelings.

Fatal flaw: Trust, Eddie tends to trust anyone. Mayhem, however, has the fatal flaw of being rash, never thinking before he does something.

Skills: Problem Solving, Intelligence, Basic First Aid. Fighting, Protecting Others, Quick to Act.

Strengths: His friends give Eddie the strength to keep going. Mayhem has no inhibitions when it comes to violence, he'll fight anyone.

Weaknesses: His past and mentions of his family, including Mayhem, depress Eddie. His friends are a big weakness, he'd do anything to make them happy and safe. Eddie is Mayhems biggest weakness, for Mayhem exists only to keep Eddie safe.

• With his unruly brown hair and stunning blue eyes, Anson is nothing short of strikingly handsome. In spite of his good looks, though, he hates being perceived and judged based on his appearance, and is constantly dressing in casual clothes to not draw attention to himself. Even though he has contacts he chooses to wear glasses for similar reasons. His skin is almost unnaturally pale, despite his deep love for the great outdoors and frequent hiking expeditions.
  
• Anson had a fairly easy childhood. His family wasn't particularly wealthy but they got along fine, and as a kid he had everything he needed and the majority of the things he wanted. His parents were loving and he returned their affection despite their occasional fighting. In early middle school he suffered from depression but it wasn't severe and he learned to control its painful effects.
  
  Everything changed when he was thirteen. It was Halloween night, his last year going Trick-or-Treating, and he was determined to make the best of it. His sister, Amanda, was assigned to escort him around the neighborhood, which Anson found annoying and unnecessary. The entire time, he complained and embarrassed her, until finally she snapped. They had a screaming fight in the middle of the street, one that ended with Amanda leaving him alone in his costume on the side of the road, watching her with tears in his eyes as she stormed off. Surrounded by staring eyes of children around him, he ran off in the opposite direction, candy still in hand.
  
  Late that night, he returned home to see his house surrounded by police cars, an explosion of flashing lights. His sobbing mother explained to him that his sister, who he'd spoken to just hours before, was dead. Hit by a speeding vehicle with a drunk driver at the wheel. Meaningless death, and far too young.
  
  Because of him.
  
  After that night, nothing was ever the same. The occasional fights between his mother and father became frequent and much more heated, until one afternoon when Anson was 14, it finally came to an end. Divorce. Just a simple word, just a couple of syllables, that carried with them pain to last an entire lifetime. He lived with his father, and in the following three years his life stabilized, but he's never fully recovered. There are still painful nights when his depression becomes too much for him to bear, when it seems like pulling that trigger he sees in his dreams may be the only option.
  
• As mentioned before, Anson hates being assessed and judged based solely on his appearance, and prefers to forge relationships through repeated acts of kindness and trust rather than his face.
  
  
  Despite his calm exterior, internally Anson is fighting a difficult battle. He constantly struggles with severe anxiety and depression that he desperately needs help with but feels like he deserves to suffer alone. He blames himself for the tragic death of his sister and the resulting fights between his parents that ultimately ended in their inevitable divorce. He's close to all of his friends but can't help feeling completely alone and misunderstood, and his best friend is the sharp knife he keeps near his bed for dark, lonely nights.
  
  All of this aside, Anson is a good person and is constantly trying to improve. He's loyal to his friends and is determined to give the benefit of the doubt even to his enemies - who knows, maybe they're like him. Maybe they've been through hell and came out broken and emotionally destroyed. He looks at everything from a different perspective, seeking to understand all angles of a situation or person. He's always up for a serious conversation and is committed to helping his friends through difficult times in their lives, and they see him as someone they can always talk to and be themselves with with. That said, he also has a lighter side, with a self-deprecating sense of humor and hilarious jokes that can be a spark of light in any situation.
  
  
• Strengths - One of Anson's greatest strengths is his ability to see the good in every situation. His stubborn positivity combined with his deep understanding of the darkness in all of us make him able to relate and empathize with all of his friends. He believes that we should all be true to ourselves and others, and become the person we know we should be. He loves deeply and holds his friends close in his heart... he would do anything for them.
  
  Weaknesses - Although most see him as calm and cool, Anson is actually emotionally unstable and can be unpredictable at times. He becomes easily depressed frequently, and occasionally can be aggressive and irrationally angry. He's plagued by horrible nightmares and often doesn't sleep at night. On particularly dark nights, he can become suicidal, but he's never actually acted on these thoughts.

Who Are They?
Background: Ash was born in a rich family thanks to his father's job. But then his father lost the job and his mother had to work double time at a hospital, almost never able to be with her son. The family depended even more on her when his father failed to get a new job. They struggled to have enough money to have food and water and also pay the bills. Finally, his father found an available job, but still didn't get much money from it.
Personality: Ash is friendly, but is sometimes a little too cocky. His friends say he has an amazing sense of humor, and is known for being good at making people laugh. But despite his friendliness, he can easily get very angry or upset. He sometimes tries to seek guidance from his parents, and sometimes tries to seek it from his friends, but sometimes neither of them can give it to him.
Fatal Flaw: He can sometimes suffer anxiety attacks.
Skills: Ash is a very good climber and likes to spend his spare time climbing trees. He is also an extremely fast runner, and can outrun almost all of his friends, and he's also an outstanding cook.
Strengths: His father has always been very supportive of him, and taught him that he can achieve his goals through hard work.
Weaknesses: He's very forgetful.

Valentina stands at an average height of 5'6" - which most people would call short, but not her. She weighs approximately 122 lbs. and has porcelain-like skin that is complimented by her thick, jet black, shoulder length hair and milk chocolate eyes that sit below her straight cut bangs. About 65% of her body is already painted with various tattoos that she started to get upon initially turning 18. Still-Valentina comes off as an innocent, sweet girl despite her grunge/dark looking appearance.

WHO ARE THEY?
Valentina was born in Samara, Russia to two wealthy business-orientated parents. Growing up, she mainly got taken care of by the maids or the nannies her parents paid for so they could have all the time they needed to work. Valentina never knew exactly what their "businesses" consisted of and fear propelled her to never ask. Officials in suits roamed her house daily, important looking people always coming in and out; Valentina never had the true satisfaction of a childhood.

10 years ago at the age of 8, Valentina and her family were forced to flee Russia and immigrate to the United States due to reasons unknown (at least to her). Here Valentina would learn to read, write and speak in full proper English. Her thick Russian accent still tends to overpower her at times, but she doesn't let that deter her. America is where Valentina would spend her developing years and also where she'd begin to find herself. But, the looming thought of having to just get up and go again due to some unseen threat still haunts her to this day.

Personality: Valentina's always been an extremely headstrong and tough individual. Because of her upbringing, she was taught to be constantly alert, wary and conscious of her "Fight or Flight" response. Yet underneath all the toughness, Valentina is truly an adventurous and free-thinking human being. She's ambitious, charismatic, loyal and most of all she's devoted-to anything or anyone she feel deserves it. Not only that, Valentina is a VERY thorough thinker. She constantly plays scenarios with different outcomes in her head until she finds the one that seems to work best.

It can be normal for Valentina to get easily frustrated-she sees herself as a perfectionist and can be slightly bossy at times. Although these pair as bittersweet, Valentina tries to ground herself as best possible when knowing she's getting worked up.

Fatal flaw: Stubborness-due to her independence and yearn for perfection, Valentina can tend to be awfully stubborn even in times when it's completely inappropriate. Her flaw even bothers her as she wishes she could just turn it off like a switch. She knows when she's being stubborn, but it's so hard for her to swallow her pride at times.

Skills: Valentina's known for being smooth talker. With this silver tongue, she's gotten out of MANY possible predicaments she's almost put herself in. Also, as a girl Valentina was put into dance and gymnastics classes which helped improve her flexibility, agility and speed immensely. Furthermore , she's extremely good at just blending in. She's not one to make herself overly-known or put too much of herself out there which stems from her basically "CONFIDENTIAL" childhood.

Strengths: Her own independence has always been a strength for Valentina. She needs no one- yet works just fine alongside others.
Weaknesses: She'll never admit it, nor let anyone see it, but Valentina is truly an emotional and sensitive being.

Appearance: Pale skin, average height, small deep brown eyes, long straight dark hair and a not too thin, not too chubby figure are the traits that define Mia. She loves wearing tomboyish clothing, like baggy and comfortable clothes. Some even say one is more likely to spot a shooting star than to spot Mia wearing a skirt or a dress. ​

Background: Mia had a simple childhood, not too poor, not too rich financial wise, but rich in love and care. However, once she began to enter her teenage phase, her own personality began to clash with her parents, this has led them to become more distant from eachother, and at age seventeen they still clash almost every day. Despite this, although she never admits it in front of them, Mia still loves and cares for them deeply.

Personality: As a child, Mia preferred to play in the mud and race with toy cars, rather than playing with dolls and pretending to be a princess... and not much has changed over the years. Well, the "play in the mud and race with toy cars" part has, but her attitude remains untouched. Her attitudes are stereotypically associated with males, and she admits she would rather hang out with a guy over another girl (unless she is similar to her). Her boisterous personality sometimes comes off as rude, and makes her look like a bit of a jerk.

Fatal flaw: When in need to release her anger, she resorts to violence. Sometimes she screams, sometimes she kicks a wall, etc.

Skills: She's far from the strongest or the sturdiest, but has a relatively easy time when it comes to physical activities. From her girl scout years, she has learned how to make a fire, build a shelter, etc. In addition, she has the ability to face the danger and the unknown blindly.

Strengths: She is close to fearless, and is often the first of her friends to face danger head on. She isn't afraid to break a nail or two, if she needs to, she'll fight.

Weaknesses: Her lack of self-awareness. Her words and actions are often misunderstood by others, and she is often unaware of this.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
At just a tad under 5'1" and borderline underweight at 96lbs, Indiana is, admittedly, not quite linebacker material. Despite her small stature, however, she tends to be an unexpectedly overwhelming presence due to her (unconscious) habits of creeping up on, staring at, and generally standing just a little too close to others. Her skin has an odd paleness to it, not from any particular lack of sunlight (though that may be part of the problem), it's more that she seems to be caught in a perpetual state of fatigue or, perhaps, illness. Her hair, cut into a medium-length bob and left without even the slightest attempt at styling, can leave her looking somewhat boyish. Dark eyes and an unblinking stare lend to the intensity of her gaze. All things considered, she remains an attractive, if occasionally unsettling person to be around.

WHO ARE THEY?
Background: Indiana has always been a bit of an oddity, even whithin her own family. She was born into a comfortable upper-middle class household, the only child of two well-known locals that had spent their entire lives struggling between pursuing their dreams and remaining in their beloved childhood town. Indiana's father was a former military man turned police investigator, her mother; a dreamer obsessed with the workings of the mind. Neither were entirely happy with their day-to-day, but they were content with the sacrifices they had made. Each of them hoped for grand things from their first child, and, again, neither were entirely happy with what they got. Yet, when Indiana's sickly nature and reclusive attitude stuck a firm wedge between the girl and her parents at an early age, they showed that they truly did care for her by doing everything in their power to keep her life from becoming miserable.

For a time, Indiana remained secluded in only the most private rooms and shadowed corners of her home. Her parents refused to throw her into the light, and chose to teach her themselves, rather than force her into the hellish public school system. Whether this was a good decision or not is still up for debate, and there can be no denying that it helped breed some of her odd tendencies and poor social skills, but it did keep her safe. That is, for a time. Eventually, at the beginning of her high school career, her father began to insist that she attend the local school. He hoped it would help her find her own way out of her solitude, and, surprisingly enough, it did. Her strange nature, cool indifference, and limited skill set definitely weren't the most appealing traits to many of her peers, but after some time and with no small amount of luck, she found herself mixed in with a group of people she might even call her friends. It depends on the day, really.

Personality: A true wallflower in almost any situation, Indiana rarely makes her presence known, let alone try to take the spotlight. She could be called a coward, but when it comes down to it, she just doesn't feel comfortable when too many eyes drift in her direction. On the flip side, her reserved attitude often leaves her starved for attention, a condition that plays a large role in her personality and actions. She may as well be invisible in a large group, but in more intimate situations, be it alone with another or surrounded by her friends, she can come off as a little desperate for the company she so often denies herself.

Fatal flaw: Indiana's preference for solitude is more of a trap than she will ever realise. By separating herself from others, she only deepens the anxiety that comes up whenever she's around others. That anxiety then feeds into her desire to be alone, and so the cycle continues. It's a loop that many have fallen into, but Indiana seems to have been born tangled up in it as much as anyone.

Skills: Booksmarts - A lifetime of solitude broken only by the comfort of reading has left Indiana a rather intelligent girl. Basic Medical Knowledge - Much of that time reading was spent learning about the body and it's weaknesses. Her constant illness inspired her to focus her time on medicine, and it shows. Her obsession could make her into one skilled doctor someday. Memory Retention - Sure, things slip past Indy's notice sometimes, it happens to everyone, but what she does catch won't be escaping any time soon. You can count on it.

Strengths: Calm, collected, and infuriatingly patient, Indy makes for a decent rock to cling to when everything goes to hell, however~

Weaknesses: ~Her inexperience in, well, life in general means her judgement can be much less sound than she believes. She's a brilliant mind in the classroom, but that's as far as it goes.

ADDITIONAL
Her nickname was not a willing one. She's come to like it as a pet name among friends, but she would never let it slide with someone she didn't trust implicitly. In fact, she's more widely known as Williams or 'that creepy goth chick' than by even her first name.

Gender: Born male, decided s/he was female by the age of 13. However, her parents are extremely religious and were unaware of this fact until years after.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Ashtyn is tall for a guy, standing at 5'10, but isn't particularly muscular and is almost literally as skinny as a pencil. He has a narrow jaw and high cheekbones to match his appearance. His eyes are a deep brown, practically swimming with deep thoughts hidden just below the surface. Despite his difficult past, he's always ready with a warm smile that can light up even the darkest of moments. Ashtyn sees what he wears every day as a form of self-expression, a way to convey the emotions that he can't find the words for. He typically wears casual clothes, often colors usually worn by girls, but sometimes dark colors, such as deep shades of blue or black.

PERSONAL
Background: As said before, Ashtyn grew up in an extremely religious family, raised as a Christian along with three other siblings. He was homeschooled as a child so he wouldn't be exposed to anything that contradicted his family's very . . . specific ways of thinking. Taught to never question anything, he grew up with a heavy secret weighing him down, one even he himself couldn't fully comprehend. When at the age of fourteen he went to public school (much to the concern of his scarily overprotective parents), the feeling became stronger. Finally a word connected with the idea, one other than "crazy". Transgender? He wasn't sure of who he was, just certain that it was not who he was supposed to be, the wrong soul born into the wrong body, a living mistake.

Ash knew her parents would never understand, but felt they deserved the truth. One night over dinner, she explained everything to them, and they rejected it. Threw her in her room, screamed at her then tearfully apologized and tried to explain more gently how she was a complete disgrace. She got the message, and she almost believed it - she still does. But she'd come this far, and she wouldn't allow herself to just give in - that's not who she was. She'd never be able to recognize herself if she let herself become that person . . . then she'd be a true disgrace.

So she tolerated the increasingly brutal abuse - physical and verbal - from her parents. She went to school every day, and she stayed silent about their beatings and fights. Ashley was the name she proudly went by, Ashley Bloom.

Personality: Ashley is perpetually cheerful, always up for a friendly conversation and ready with a grin that holds the light of a million stars. She's always prepared for difficult situations with a warm hug and a reassuring smile. Her almost childish personality makes others adore her, and even those with an accomplished past and reputation of being an absolute asshole can't help but love her. Despite her difficult past and the abuse in her household, she holds steady for those she loves and would do anything for her friends.

Fatal Flaw: She can suffer panic attacks

Skills: With her constantly upbeat personality, she can easily cheer anyone up, even in the darkest of times. She's also a bright girl and excels in most of her classes, earning straight As and teachers that absolutely love her.

Strengths: Some of Ashley's strengths are extreme patience, stubborn positivity in every situation, a deep love for those she's close to, and the ability to forgive even the worst of mistakes.

Weaknesses: A couple of Ashley's worst weaknesses are that she's easily frightened, she isn't a very capable fighter, and she suffers from severe anxiety, especially around large groups of people. She can suffer panic attacks in stressful situations, and when that happens there's not much anyone can do to help her.

Relationships: She's currently involved in a relationship with Anson Creekmore, who is quite simply the love of her life. He understands her better than she can understand herself.
Other than that, she has many friends due to her cheerful personality and positive attitude.
