Summary:

Between the ending years of A.D. and the beginning of A.A. (After Androids), there was a breakout of new technology being discovered and more so, Androids. Androids are what you’d call robots, but they’re not so dumb as they may seem. Unlike any regular automaton, these beings have personality and their own morals. They mirror humans in about every way possible, except they lack one thing.

Love.

They can’t feel or understand the feeling of love.

Emotions like sadness, anger, betrayal, and numbness they understand, but love?

Now, that’s a different story.

Humankind:

Humans are fragile. They can die in just about every way imaginable: drowning in a toilet, being stabbed with a mini screwdriver, skydiving attached to a fridge, falling down the stairs with an umbrella, eating phillips head screws, making toast in the tub, skinny-dipping in a flood, you name it. [bo Burnham reference]

Because of this, they decided to make their lives easier by building robots that are stronger and smarter than them. However, in doing this, they put the human race’s existence into danger.

Androids:

Unlike emotionless robots, these androids can pass as humans. That is, only if they were designed to. Over the years, humans had been able to make them more and more lifelike, until they can now pass as them. One of the very few ways to tell the difference between automatons and humans is over time. Over time, humans will age while androids will not. The other ways, well, they haven’t been discovered yet.

Most androids pity humankind. They find themselves being able to surpass them in every way possible. Some want to live side by side humanity, while others want to destroy them and run the world by themselves. It all comes down to two things: Personality and perspective.

Like humans, as androids were made in man’s image, can be intelligent or stupid. This depends on the robot’s created purpose.

Androids: Weaknesses

Androids have many weaknesses, but not as many as those of a human. Some are quite obvious, like water. Of course, you can make water-proof androids if necessary. Although, usually automatons are created for specific purposes.

There are only two other weaknesses of androids: Decapitation and their “heart.” A robot’s “heart” is located on the upper area of their back; a little bit below the nape of the neck. All automatons have one, regardless of rank. This area is usually hard and difficult to open. Regular weapons like a dagger and swords can’t pry open their heart. Bullets have even less of a chance. One of the easiest way to deactivate an android is by having another of their kind to touch the surface of where the heart is located. It will immediately open, whether or not the robot is willing to allow that to happen. The other way is by getting the android’s permission to do so.

If you are able to open the heart, all you need to do to deactivate the robot is to destroy it. Some ways to do this is smashing it to pieces, cutting the cords if the android were to have any, etc. But keep this in mind: The heart is their most fragile piece of their body. It can immediately shatter just by the contact of one’s fingertips. You must be careful.

Androids: Ranks

This next part will describe the ranking system. This ranking system was created by an anonymous android around A.A. 0002. Some robots will use the term “Rank” and others might use “Class”. To avoid further confusion, these mean the same thing. However, as it seems, older robot, usually from A.D. 2400s - A.D. 2515, will often use the term “class” rather than “rank” while newer versions will use “rank” instead of “class”. Sometimes when speaking, their personal preference of either term will point out their age.

Ranks are solely a brief explanation of the android’s purpose.

Class/Rank A - These androids are quick and have fast reflexes. They do well in both close and distanced

combat. The thing about Class A’s, is that they do not usually have a good long-term memory. Their information storage is rather small, that way they can process new information and react much faster.

Class/Rank B - Class B automatons are just about Class A’s polar opposite. These androids are programmed to have larger information storage. But it is because of this that they move and react slower than Class A androids. Robots in this class tend to be much larger than other androids in both weight and height. Most Class B robots excel in close combat, though it is not unheard of one being superior in distanced combat.

Class/Rank C - Androids in this class are the outcasts in society. Being in Class C is the lowest you can possibly get. To top it all off, any droids that do not fit in the current society’s requirements are immediately entitled to Class C. Once you are labelled to this category, you are ordered to be deactivated as soon as possible. You will find all humans and cyborgs in this class.

Class/Rank S - The androids that exceed in every subject belong in this category. This is the highest rank you could possibly get. Androids in this class are most likely to be Territory Bosses or the leader of an organization. One thing that is very important about Class S androids is that they used to be from either the Class A or B groups. Very few have actually been from Class C and gotten to the top, but nothing is impossible.

In other words, any being from any class can be in the most respected category.

Anyone is capable of working their way to the top.

(No Class/Rank) - Animals, plants, and hybrids are entitled to this rank. They are irrelevant to the ranking system and are not weighed to a death sentence. Of course, certain hybrids are an exception (nekogirls/boys, etc.) but overall, they are free to live wherever, and whenever. Unlike those in the ranking system, they have the freedom to do almost whatever they desire.

Now remember, androids aren’t perfect. Sure, they are masters when it comes to multi-tasking (I’ll have you know that some can converse, analyze large sets of data, check the weather, cook dinner, while doing grandma’s toes all at once. It’s truly amazing.) but they have many flaws just as humans do. Androids are similar to humans in countless ways. For one, they have to manage their mental state. Some robots get depressed too when thinking of something important to them they’ve lost or a dead family member. They can feel happiness, get angry, and dislike things. Each one, like humans have different personalities and different morals and beliefs.

But they can’t feel love.

Sympathy and sadness for someone is different to feeling love.

Androids: Territory Clarification

Since the recent breakout in new technology, (A.A. or “After Androids”), humans have taken a step down in terms of power and strength. We live in a world that is now the Creator vs. The Creation. Because of this fact, humans and androids almost never live alongside each other, androids being the obviously more superior race.

Now that you are aware of the ranking system, you will notice that it was mentioned that most Rank S automatons are “Territory Bosses.” They aren’t just of Rank S, though. It isn’t completely unheard of a few Rank A or Bs ruling over a few acres. However, they are more vulnerable to “Takers”. Territory bosses, as you can imagine, are beings that are the leader of land. Each piece of land owned by a territory boss are their own country supported by their own people and have their own, separate laws. This does not mean that wars do not still exist. In fact, many territories suffer from civil wars or “territory stealing” and “taking.” Ever since the end of A.D., strong bots from any Class scramble for their own land. This caused millions of deaths. Most of which were the humans’.

Anyone is allowed to challenge the Territory Boss. Though, this is not recommended as one may face extreme punishment by the Territory Boss. S/he has the freedom to do whatever s/he wants, whether they want to be a fair ruler or otherwise.

When a Territory Boss is killed, it is their murderer that takes his/her place. However, if the killer does not wish to rule, anyone can fight others for the throne and the land will be “holding”.

Race Populations and Percentages:

Between A.D. 2515 and A.A. 0001 is the time of which the world’s largest genocide took place. Humans from all over the world fought their best against their creations, but it wasn’t enough. After all, androids have been planning their reign for years. Once they finally won in A.A. 0119 and had created an organized and running world, for the first time, there was peace. But only for the cost of billions of deaths.

Humans make up only 13% of the world’s population. Since they rarely have any use to automatons, they are needlessly set aside until their death. Because of this, though, disease has almost disappeared completely from this world. Man hardly ever die of illnesses and suffer mostly of starvation, thirst, and overworking.

Cyborgs make up of about 4% of the world’s population. The reason for this is because there were barely any cyborgs created to begin with. Cyborgs in A.D. were created solely for experimentation. Overall, the majority of them were failures or were destroyed during the breakout of A.D. 2515. Although, some have survived to this day. Very, very few are still being made, but their known existence remains.

Others/Hybrids are around 20%. From the 0100’s, hybrids have become pretty popular. Some live alongside androids, but most are used for selling as pets.

Automatons rule over the earth with 63%. No surprise there.

Vocabulary:

Androids -
The extraordinary beings that are superior to man. They have shaped the world in a completely different way, where strength and power are all that matters to survive. [synonyms: Robot, automaton, (informal) bot, droid]

Ranks/Classes/The Ranking System - These are the ranks automatons use when describing one’s importance and contribution to the society.

Territory Bosses - A being that is in complete control of his/her own piece of land. They are allowed to create their own laws and anyone that is a citizen of this land will obey whoever is in charge.

Takers - (1) One that kills another for territory. (2) One that takes. (3) One that kills for no reason other than to appear powerful.

A.A. - Stands for “After Androids.” This is the time after A.D., or the common era.

I'm looking for help on the following things:

(1) Spelling/punctuation errors

(2) Any suggestions, anything that was confusing?

(3) Any way I can make this better?

Feedback and comments are much appreciated.

You should probably add up to how many humans are left. Can make a difference. Also, since this is a futuristic RP idea (You spelled Futuristic wrong in the title), you should put in exactly what we can role-play as.

Please don't hesitate to correct me if I happened to misunderstand something. O3O" After reading this it came off as if you're only talking about romantic love when there's actually several different kinds such as ludus, storge, mania, agape, pragma, and philautia. With all those in mind, the lack of love comes off as a major design flaw that the humans would have tried to fix so that the androids wouldn't be miserable all the time. So, why do they feel other emotions except love? It's hard to imagine the androids functioning very well when so many things, like pitying someone, can easily stem from a form of love.
