Vallen had been wandering this forest for days in search of the rumored source of powerful magic here. It was currently around midday, and he felt as though he was finally getting close. He found himself in a large clearing now, a tree in the center. Travellers often would rest at places like this while trekking through the forest, and so he decided to do so, taking a drink from his canteen and then sitting at the base of the tree, legs crossed, admiring the nature for a while. Just a few more miles and he'd find it, he knew it. His sixth sense for magic was sensing more by the hour.
Vallen made sure to keep watch for anyone else entering the clearing, as this was a common spot for all kinds of people to traverse.
