A muddy trail swirled across the landscape as you made your approach. It was dark, yet you could still make out the outlines of a small hill in front of you, the dirt path spreading across it, disappearing into the darkness ahead. You were standing in the middle of a field which surrounded the hill you were moving toward. The field itself was surrounded by a huge forest, a sea of dark green, hidden beneath a veil of blurry darkness. Even though the trees towered over the landscape, the largest structure, by far, was a lookout tower positioned on top of the small hill. Its dark silhouette clearly visible, as it was pressed on the dark blue of the night’s sky.


It was your first night on the job. Having spent most of the day hiking to your post, you finally reached your destination – ‘The Moonshine Mountain Fire Observation Station’. Or in short – ‘The Moonshine Lookout’.
