Goro stands at roughly 6'2, with a stocky, muscular build and pale white skin. His hair is a common enough shade of brown, but extremely long, kept in a ponytail that reaches to the middle of his back. His attire consists mainly of a long, maroon colored, loose fitting robe, which covers most if not all his armor, which consists of a chest piece, left arm guard, and leg guards, which are colored black and gold. His face is chiseled and handsome, but his deep brown eyes contain an intimidating and cold feeling to them, leaving most with the want to avoid his gaze.

PERSONALITY:
Goro is effectively all business. The guy keeps to himself and rarely speaks for anything other than barking out orders. However, he comes with an aura that almost commands your respect, and he is willing to give his in return, so long as you are equals. Despite appearances, he can be a rather caring fellow, and while he may be a bit wooden for conversation, he certainly tries his best to keep it going. He feels a sort of camaraderie with the Spades, and wishes to keep everyone in it safe from any harm, which can be quite difficult given the nature of their work.

HISTORY/BIO:
Goro grew up on Valm, the neighboring continent. There, he grew up with only his father, under the rule of the Dynasts. His mother passed due to sickness in his early childhood, but his father did his absolute best to love his son and keep the both of them living, a fact Goro has never forgotten. Goro's father was a smith, and each day Goro would help him with the creation of weapons. He grew fascinated by their design and use, and while his father's knowledge of the blade was minimal, he taught Goro all he knew, who continued to train with them on his own time.
Alas, fate is too cruel to leave the two in peace. The Dynasts faced many a rebellion in their fights for power, and the village where Goro lived happened to be one caught in the crossfire. Refusing to support their power struggle, Goro's father died protecting his son, buying him the time he needed to escape. Since then, Goro has been working as a wandering mercenary, selling his services to the highest bidder, though in his land they call such a swordsman a Ronin, a masterless vagabond. He was recruited by The Shovel a few years ago, and he now leads the Gilded Spades as their second-in-command. He hopes to one day earn enough coin from their hunts to finally rebuild his father's smithery and live his days out in peace.

He is a big liar. And a good one at that. He is cold and unforgiving...if a bit sarcastic. Most of this is created due to Insecurity and doubt. If you get close to him you will see he has a soft side. Where he will protect you with all his life.
HISTORY/BIO:
He is the rightful heir to the Plegia’s throne. But he ran away after witnessing yet another Assassination in the court. He spends his early days(10-15) as a workhand. Until when he worked at a fletcher when he was 15. It was then he Learned how to use a bow from the Fletcher, Boris Klein. He lived has his adopted Son, Teaching him how to live off the land, shoot a bow, wield a sword.. and to lie. Two years passed and Klein died from A heart attack. Erik never knew how to recover and it broke him mentally. He function and acted like a normal being, but he goes about like a mindless zombie searching for a purpose. He caught wind that the villages he used to live in was in trouble. He was within a reasonable distance only to realize that it was wiped clean. Everything dead and burnt to the ground. It was there where he grew ambition to Eradicate the Plegian Throne and replace it with a better system... to create a government without corruption. Then he realized he has no money what so ever. He began too do merc jobs earning a meger pay to a decent sum. But none of this lasted for more than a couple of days. He is now in search of something that will get him rich off his mind. Then, when in a tavern Ylisstol, he heard of a treasure hunter group. He began to search rumors and info to find them, hoping to Gain a fair sum of money....or at least some friends. Along the way he has earned quite impressive Bar tap along the way.
OTHER:
the royal Court sends assassins to kill him frequently, along with The various Bars and taverns. He has no intention to pay his debts.​

PERSONALITY:
Cato has a twitchy and anxious yet no nonsense personality. He is skeptical of everybody and everything due to his heighten sense of paranoia often spinning his own theories about people's intentions instead of simply asking them their intention. He has a hair trigger reaction to everything rather its mundane or extraordinary, he always reacts over the top and loudly. This is because he's emotional due to always being on edge about others and his general paranoia. But yet he can be rather quiet and gentle, and maybe even a little goofy when when left alone to his own devices. He loves being left alone since his thoughts are calmed down when he's left alone instead of worrying about people he can just focus on his interests.

Cato'sinterest are more of an obsession, his obsession is of the ancient and misunderstood. He find things that are hardly known as a challenge to figure it out and understand it since he feels a kinship with the misunderstood. If somebody ask him about his interests he gets excited and over shares to the point of dropping years of knowledge on the topic and its told so quickly that its hard to understand it all on top of the hard to know knowledge. But he get bored quickly if the person isn't stimulating enough as a conversation partner and loses interest in them right away and goes back to being cold and skeptical towards the person, but if somebody can keep up with him and be stimulating enough he will be stuck to them for life.

Even with friends he still has a hair trigger reaction to things and can get annoyed easily with them but he will never desert them. He's not scared to harshly critique them and their actions often to the point of hypocrisy, but he doesn't find any issues being a hypocrite. He knows what a good person is supposed to be like even if he doesn't act that way himself since he thinks its too much effort to display at all times.


HISTORY/BIO:
Cato is a noble from Ylisse. Cato's father was a scholar and his mother was an archer. They both taught him their skills and training. At a young age Cato was sent to Ylisse's famous University when he was of age. Cato was always a strange man, although he was a skilled archer and healer he much preferred to read about and study ancient cultures than talking to people unless it was about said ancient cultures.

Cato was famous - or more correctly, infamous among his follow scholars for his obsession of ancient cultures and studying, that he became a professor at the University at a young age of 21. He was infamous for the fact he would often investigate ancient ruins on his own or with a small class who sometimes didn't make it. He was known as a calloused and obsessed man who cared more for learning the past over preserving life. Which isn't entirely wrong.

After a decade of being a professor Cato quit his job and joined the Gilded Spades as the group's archaeologist and healer thinking he will have more opportunity to learn more with this group over the university since they are skilled combatants unlike many of the students he went with. Many called this choice callous and a mistake, but Cato didn't care, he wants nothing more than to learn the past and this is the only option he feels he has.

Cato doesn't care for leading or bossing others around so his main duty during missions for the group is to evaluate artifacts and keep an eye out for traps and heal any wounds that should arise.

Developed from scrolls telling of the legendary riders of Hoshido and Nohr, the Wyvern soul integrates unmatched connection between rider and mount with techniques from the ancient kingdoms. The result is a fighter with unmatched maneuverability and control of the battlefield. This power comes with weaknesses however, relying mostly on skillful practiced strikes makes the unit unlikely to take advantage of opportunities to critically hit with an abysmal luck stat. Additionally, they still have a major weakness to bows and their resistance is nothing to be proud of.

PERSONALITY:
Fierce, proud and guarded, Sybil leaves an impression wherever she goes. While she is not arrogant about her skills, she is prideful of her power and heritage. Raised with fierce national pride for two nations, she doesn't hesitate to defend Macedon or Rosenne in battle or conversation, sometimes even if it would blow her cover. Stoic to the extreme, not much appears to bother Sybil, she takes all things, good and bad with the same steely resolve that befits her station. Her status is a bit obvious to all that meet her. Constantly well mannered and respectful, she is the picture of higher class manners and respect. She doesn't lord over others (though she will when necessary) but she makes it clear to everyone around her that she is, in fact, polite company. In short she is the picture of a Knight captain of the Macedon-Rosanne Dragoons and lady of the high courts. Internally however, shes a bit of a mess. As a child with two similar but distant heritage's she finds it hard to truly join in with her fathers crys for a free Macedon, her "Motherland" She's never even seen. Equally, she feels she'll never truly be a part of Valm, as her fathers bloodline alienates her from even her own dynaste. Constantly suppressing the desire to fidget and move, Sybil is never truly comfortable on the ground. While this can be allayed by close contact with Cherche, she is never really herself until shes in the air where she can move how she wants and be who she wants. She's a bit of a thrill junkie but suppresses her more reckless ideas if she stops to think. She absolutely loves Cherche with all of her being and its mutual and their mothering of each other is the first real hint people can get that shes not the iron woman she projects, but rather just a lonely woman who needs someone else she can truly relax around. Wise for her years, she really wants nothing more then to adopt everyone around her and guide them like she would the little sibling she never had.
HISTORY/BIO:
Macedon has always been a belligerent country, to put it lightly. After the War of Heroes, they enjoyed self rule for a time until the schism, when they were one of several countries made to join Plegia at sword-point. Always a prosperous and fertile land, Macedon was the breadbasket of Plegia, even as the land changed and it was swallowed by the same sands. Still the native Macedonians clung to their identity and after the defeat of the Grimleal they revolted against Plegia and again were put down. Over the next Millennia, this tension was only compounded, as Plegia and Macedon had a on and off war over Macedon's sovereignty.
Sybil's forefathers were refugees from one of those wars who crossed the sea to Valm and became a part of a southerly Valmese dynaste, in areas formerly occupied by the duchy of Rosanne while fiercely insisting on their own independence. Centered on the Wyvern Valley, these Macedonians became a thriving city state and never lost their ties to home, often sending military or aid support to their homeland when needed, and never missing an opportunity to deal a blow to the greater Plegian whole.
Sybil was born as the daughter of both dynaste and Macedon. Her mother was a native of Rosenne. Her father a Macedonian noble who could trace their line to Iote. But above that, they were both wyvern lords who fell in love as they danced in the sky. Sybil was born to wyvern riding and he took to her birthright with a passion unseen for generations. She and her Wyvern, Cherche, bonded on sight and remain inseparable, literally, their training as Wyvern souls has bonded them magically, and while their communication isn't eloquent enough to be called telepathic, they are of one mind and soul in two bodies. Sybil first saw combat in one of the many dynaste battles, and despite her initial lack of stomach she acquitted herself to the task and rose to the rank of Knight Captain. This promotion took her away from the front lines however, as while Macedon needed her strength, they needed her subtly more. She was ordered to join the Shovels as an experienced warrior looking to get rich. Her true motives though, were her people's home. If an relic hunting group found Hauteclere or Iote's shield, her people needed a loyal hand nearby.
She was assigned by the leader to The Spades as an aerial scout and lookout, and while she remains guarded to the group, she has proven quite up to the task.

PERSONALITY:

Strong, Stoic, and Melancholy, this terror of the battlefield scares her allies as well. Raised to value strength above all else, she often splits off on her own to challenge her foes, daring them to surround her. While she is slow in everything she does, her combat is precise and intentional. After all, between her iron will and specially commissioned, excessively heavy armor, little can harm her. (Or so she believes.) Off the battlefield, she is quietly intense, and most conversations with her either end after she gives a few one-word replies, or with a terrible barking of insults and orders. Secretly, she longs for the support she never received from her distant military father, but is clueless on how to obtain it.


HISTORY/BIO:

Born the youngest daughter of a decorated lieutenant, she had the misfortune of killing her mother on birth. Her father replied by vanishing into the military service he had promised to give up to raise his children. Blaming herself for her father’s absence, she tells herself she will make herself strong enough to make up for the crime of her birth. While her siblings played and frolicked through their childhoods, she spent hers in tearful, angry training. She now stands at an imposing height, with a solid, muscular build rivaling that of most men of service.
She hears word of the Spades through whispers in nearby pubs, and begins following them, in hopes they will conscript her. She's now been following them for a fortnight, occasionally helping in their battles, and disappearing without a word later. Eventually, she hopes, someone will ask her to join.

PERSONALITY:
There's a reason he's been called The Smiling Blade. Stark is a very friendly person, always looking out for the well being of his companions. He tries his best to lighten the situation. He's forever an optimist looking for the brighter path of any situation. Some may call him naive, but Stark is a deep believer in always chasing your goals no matter how large and unreachable they may seem. His desire to build upon his legacy keeps him motivated.

HISTORY/BIO:
Coming from a small unknown Ylissean village, nothing great was to be expected from it's inhabitants. Farmers, merchants, fisherman... That was about all the village would produce. From a young age, Stark became obsessed with the stories his father would tell him of the brave heroes fighting off some of Ylisse's greatest threats. The ideas of glory stuck in Stark's heart. He would beg his dad, who was the Captain of the village's small militia, to train him in the ways of the sword.

From then on Stark would continue to grow proficient in swordplay. Once Stark became of age, he decided to leave the village in search of adventure. He wanted to rise up past his small village and be involved in something greater than himself. He became a mercenary for hire traveling the lands, taking up whatever small jobs he could. He eventually began gaining some renown for his skills and attitude. This eventually caught the attention of The Gilded Spades. Stark excitedly joined the group, thinking about all the adventure that awaited him.

In reality, Gremm would not wear this much armor ^ on a regular basis. He may not wear the helmet or shoulder pads etc.

CLASS: Noble (Myrmidon/Lord) *Promotes to Duke (Basically just a stronger Noble. Kind of like Great Lord) **Usable Weapons: Swords ***Uses staves if promoted to Duke.

PERSONAL SKILL: Quick Swig - When initiating a battle with an opposing close range unit, this unit gains +5 to all stats but defense and HP. (takes a shot)

  • Quick Salve - Can perform another action after using a healing item.
  • Astra - Deals 5 consecutive hits at half damage.
  • Rally Luck - Luck +8 to all allies within a two tile space for 1 turn. (twists clay blocks)
  • Gentilhomme - Female Allies within a two tile radius receive two less damage.
(Some of these skills only make sense in the strategy game concept rather than an rp. We might be able to work out how these might actually work.

PERSONALITY: Due to *ahem* personal issues, Gremm actively avoids contact with all human beings as much as possible. In the process, this has made him quite the introvert and has trouble expressing his true emotions and brushes them off with sarcasm. As well as him not dealing with his emotions perfectly well, he has become an excessive alcoholic. He'll spend as much of his time as he can in a pub and will spend all of his time there getting drunk. So in all Gremm is a loner and an alcoholic. Damn. Well, there are some redeeming qualities. For starters, Gremm is a fantastic listeners. In fact, most of his conversations are just him listening and nodding his head. So, on the battlefield, he'll be able to follow through on tactical directions given to him. Also, Gremm is selfless and will willingly give his life to save another (that is if they aren't on his bad side.) Oh yeah, and, for some odd reason, to pass the time Gremm twists blocks of clay that he picked up from a merchant. It's his good luck charm.

HISTORY/BIO: So, I'm not known for writing good backstories. Bear with me. So Gremm was born as a noble as a "bad guy" y'kow whatever country the red units are going to be from. Gremm was friends with three low ranked soldiers in the "bad guy" army. His parents disliked him spending time with these three: Olta, Adriana, and Atli. Gremm nonetheless kept his relations with them. despite them not being of noble birth. When he and his friends were around the ages of 17-19, the unspeakable hapend. Previously, as a birthday present, Gremm was given full leadership of one of the "bad guys" factions. This faction was obviously the one where his friends were enlisted in. There was a small force in the south tat had been giving a nearby village trouble, so he sent out he faction to skirmish the rebels and return with the main force. However, unknowingly, Gremm's father set Gremm up and all of his friends were brutally murdered by their own. Gremm grieved for a year, but did not drown himself in alcohol (he wasn't of age.) After that year, Gremm had discovered that his father was responsible for his only friends' death! So, Gremm took all of the stores he could find and set out to the forests of Ylisse to grieve even more. This is where he found his first pub and drank his first night away. This is how he would spend the rest of his life: wandering and drink, until one fateful day when he crossed into uncharted Plegian desert to be met with a large structure! Gremm starts as a green Noble with all weapons in weapon section plus a vulernary.

Not likely to get too attached to anyone in fear of them dying on him. He has scars on the wrists and forearms from suicidal tendings after his dear friends' death. Skinny due to lack of personal hygiene and taking care of himself. Is almost never seen without alcohol near him. Some people say he invented the Rubiks cube.

Okay, but I still need a reason for him wanting to join the Gilded Spades. What reason would a runaway prince have for joining a group of treasure hunters?
 
NAME: Max

TITLE/ALIAS: Max has a tendency to be called the Metal Medic. Max himself doesn't care one bit.

APPEARANCE:

Underneath the helmet, Max is bald, and has a dark brown mustache. Max is noted to have brown eyes, and wears yellow robes underneath the armor.
CLASS:
Healer-not with staffs though.

WEAPONS:
Max carries a lot of medical supplies with him, but he also carries a knife just in case he has to fight. The supplies can stop status conditions but are less effective at healing than a staff.
Promotions can have Max get a sword or an actual staff instead.

PERSONAL SKILL:
(Optional. Really only seen in Fates. A unique skill you create on your own to benefit your character.)
Sacrifice: Max, if close to a critically wounded ally, can taunt all nearby enemies to attack him instead. Max gains a boost to DEF and RES (3 points?) if he does this, but everything doubles him. No more, no less. (Brave weapons CANNOT quad attack him.)
SKILLS:
(Max of five.)
Distraction: Max, if near a wounded ally (50% HP or less), soaks up all the damage that ally would receive from ranged attacks. (Made up the skill, ok with you?)
Armored (more of a part of his appearance): Max takes less damage from arrows and physical weapons. Tomes, however, deal more damage.

PERSONALITY:
Max is an extremely laid back person. Outside of battle, Max is commonly seen resting, or messing with a small chess set he brings with him all the time. Max is noted to enjoy snow.
In battle, Max doesn't change much-unless he witnesses a wounded ally. Then Max will usually attempt to heal the wounded ally, and he will stand right in front of enemy attacks to try and let the ally escape if Max can't heal the ally.
HISTORY/BIO:

Max is a mere mercenary. His past was a normal life, but Max was interested in the prospect of joining the Spades.
Max was trained in the way of healing while he was just starting out as a mercenary. He witnessed a fellow mercenary fall in battle, and it was to Max's fortune that the mercenary had experience in healing. The mercenary, unable to heal himself, gave Max precise instructions on how to patch up the wounds, and the vigilant Max not only saved the mercenary's life but permanently learned what he was doing in the process. Max's healing skills got him a spot in the Spades as a healer.
Ask Max and he'll say he's interested in the money. But in reality, it's easy to see that Max is actually interested in the adventure that joining the Spades will produce.
