Aria has a very prickly personality; she is known for being sassy, dark, and sarcastic to those around her. She has a macabre sense of humor, usually saying things about people being hit by a bus at various episodes, as well as somewhat sadistic tendencies, such as enjoying people getting hurt, even her own friends or an ex beau. Aria is jealous, often insatiable, mean and rude to many people. She sometimes shows authority and control at school, yelling at others and even using physical force at times (although she does not fight; she retaliates in way "that will make [someone] sad for a long time". She is very jealous and possessive of her ex boyfriends, protecting them from others that have a seem interested in him even as friends. Despite her tough attitude, she can get freaked out by a few things, such as getting caught by the police, which explains her paranoia around men of duty. Aria fits the stereotype of a "bad girl" much more than a "mean girl". She is very rebellious, as she doesn't like being told what to do and often points out that she's doing something because she wants to, not because someone told her to, and often claims that she is only doing something because she wants to and not because someone tells her to. She can also be quite flirty and feminine even in her dark, blunt nature.

- Medium ship: Aria has the ability to see and talk to ghosts. However, this comes with a downfall: every ghost she chooses to talk to, she'll feel how they died.


- Umbrakinesis: Aria has the ability to create, manipulate, and control shadows at her will


- Shadow Mimicry: An advanced form of Umbrakinesis, Aria has the ability to turn into a shadow or merge with one


History/ Backstory:


Born on a sunny day in the middle of summer, Aria's parents thought everything would be alright with their little girl. She was born extremely healthy and nothing seemed to be off about the child. From ages 0 - 5, Aria stayed by herself, rarely ever talking. But when she smiled, her parents knew that they were blessed.


When 2014 hit with the virus, Aria's parents began to panic. Children were dropping like flies and they didn't want to lose their perfect child. They spent a year protecting Aria, but of course, as mid 2015 rolled by, half of the world's children were gone.


In all this time, Aria was scared out of her mind. Not that she felt changes in her body, she was just worried she was going to die. This changed her mindset on life. Rather than being the good girl her parents always wanted her to be, she figured, if I'm gonna die, might as well live my own life. So she had a personality change. She became crueler, more distant, colder, and her parents didn't know what to do.


When 2016 hit, Aria felt her body change completely. It started off with the voices in her head. Cliche, yes, but it did happen. She heard voices from different places first, then she saw shadowy figures. Then she could connect the two together. After doing research, as in googling whatever she had, she came to a conclusion that she could talk to ghosts. Then the shadows hit. It was probably the least advanced of her skills due to the fact that the government found her when they were just developing.

The only noticeable difference in Aria after she received her powers were in her skin color, her eye color, and her overall facial appearance. She was orignally born with much tanner skin, but when her powers set in, she became paler and more translucent looking. Her eyes were also, originally a light blue shade, but with her powers, they seemed to turn grayish, almost silver with a few hints of blue. And finally, Aria originally had a roundish face, but with her powers, she lost a lot of fat in her face, giving her more defined cheekbones and a jawline.

  His hairstyle is perhaps his most eye catching feature. In that he has half of his head shaved, the other half long with a streak of brilliant green in it. (As a note the reason he keeps his hair like this is because the shaved side while it looks dark shaved, actually grows in green). Occasionally the hair streak will change color, something that he generally passes off as being tied to his mood (although it seems more influenced by the weather).
  
  Built more willowy than his father, Kevin is still tall, just with leaner features. This stretches to his facial features as well, and ears that bare just a tiny hint of a point. His eyes are sharp gold.
  
  He prefers wearing nice fitted pants done in black with calf high combat boots, also done in black. His shirts are nice close fitting numbers of emerald greens and blacks. He is always seen with a belt and has a preference for black gloves although these are in and out since the guards may argue his having them. All of these items have pockets subtly worked into the fabric. If the guards are aware of this, they don’t seem to care since the only things ever in these pockets are seeds.   When it comes to the guards, and the other adults who decide to show control over his life, Kevin is subservient. He does his best not to cause them any issues and in general keeps his head down. When hit he rolls with the punches as necessary and stays down.
  
  Away from the direct attention of the guards, Kevin is rather upbeat and smiles often. He shares his food, what meager rations they are, with the younger children, and does his best to tend to wounds inflicted on others. He can give off the impression of being impulsive and a bit…touched, often moving to his own beat with little regard to what others around him think. He can come off as rather insensitive or cowardly.
  
  Neither appearance however, is quite accurate. At his core, Kevin is cunning, proud, ambitious, and even greedy. His eyes are set on freedom and he will have it eventually, starting with making himself as small of a threat as possible. Any action that brings him to attention is carefully considered and weighed against his ultimate goal.

  Audrey Kangjŏn – Despite the boy being older, Kevin approached Audrey when he first arrived, offering him both some of his rations and his company as comfort. Something that Audrey accepted both because of the familiarity that Kevin represented (even if his only language is English). Kevin remains friends with Audrey, despite the conflicting friendship the boy shares with Luke. Audrey often acts as something of a middle ground between the two. He can even get them to act civil for short periods of time.

  Blythe Howell – Really, being enemies with Blythe Howell was far from any plan that Kevin had. True Kevin didn’t approach the older beyond an initial greeting, but it wasn’t out of any interest in offending. The move was actually to avoid offending the rather proud man, since Kevin believed that any further moves would seem condescending after the initial offer that if Blythe needed anything, Kevin would be willing to help out if he could. He had initially planned to try a different approach once Blythe settled in. That plan however, was thrown out when Blythe snapped on Kevin. Later Kevin was able to sit down and consider how he had brought about Blythe snapping, but at the time, he had snapped right back, sealing the dislike of each other although at least from Kevin’s point of view, it is not irreparable. – As a note what offended Blythe was the constant bickering and fighting between Kevin and Luke. Because of his abilities, Kevin’s style of fighting with something resembling flash fire, had been both blinding and deafening and had finally sent Blythe over. Living near the pair of them and having to put up with the near nightly subtle antagonizing between Kevin and Luke.
  
  
  Luke Zdenek– Luke and Kevin have a rather complex relationship. Initially starting out as something like friends, with Luke benefiting from being under Kevin’s wing, the two had a rather nasty split. What exactly happened is unknown. The results however, are the subject of entertainment for the guards. As it stands currently, the pair have a tense relationship that at any point, comment, or even look, can erupt into a fight. These fights range from trading physical blows to snapping at each other with their abilities. Luke is particularly fond of soaking Kevin with water any time he gets a little too sparky. To best capitalize on this potential source of fun for the guards, the two have been moved so that Kevin’s room is directly below Luke's. As expected, the pair use this situation to pick at and antagonize each other. Specifically in Luke's habit of ensuring the water drips into different spots of Kevin’s room all night long, and in Kevin’s habit of keeping the floor nice and hot. - This entire charade was Kevin's idea.

  Pyrokinesis – The ability to create, shape, and manipulate fire. Perhaps his most volatile ability, he allows most to believe that he is rather poor at controlling it. Something that is not completely inaccurate. Certainly he has trouble controlling any style of flame larger than himself. Kevin is rather skilled however, at the creation of sparks, and is noted to be capable of producing fire from just about wherever he chooses (ie: hands, feet, breath).
  
  
  

  
  
  

  
  
  
  Structure Manipulation - His secondary ability as far as the government is concerned, he allows them to believe that the only use it has is in creating a personal shield. Kevin is capable of shifting the chemical structure and bonding of his own body, and to some extent the area around him. Predominantly this is limited to something he is touching, something that is touching him, and his own body. For any items that are not his own structures he requires a rather through knowledge of the initial bonds, as well as the final bonds. Rather fortunately the shifting of his own body is either instinctual or subconscious, Kevin able to rearrange the structure of his skin into a form of carbon that shields him both from heat and a fair amount of blunt damage while still allowing movement. He does work fairly hard to conceal just how much blunt damage the shielding can disperse however, preferring the guards to think that their bare fists are plenty to hurt him.
  
  
  

  
  
  

  
  
  
  Agrokinesis – The ability to manipulate plants mentally, including creation (from seed source), increase, shape, move, and animate plants and wood. Some level of plant empathy is noted although not often utilized. – As a note this is his most developed ability, and his best hidden.   Kevin remembers his family well enough, specifically his mother who he was close to, and who was the one to discover that he wasn’t quite as normal as he might have been assumed to be. Not that it was overly obvious at first. Just minor things like his hair taking on a green tone and his eyes starting to lighten. Not that anyone really took note since the virus was starting to take hold and make the news. His changes became truly obvious however, when it reached his area. Kevin’s mother drew him out of school to try and shield him from the illness. Not that it worked overly well. He still fell ill, although the withdrawl did shield him from anyone who would have noticed how suddenly the plants around him grew faster, thicker, greener.
  
  
  At first his mother had trouble accepting it, however when she caught him outside one day, calling for a branch from the apple tree to come down, she was forced to accept it. Pulling him inside, his mother instructed him that he should never show people his abilities, a warning that served well once the government started rounding kids up.
  
  
  Not that all of his abilities were as subtle as the plants, or came in as gently. His second ability, fire, manifested with a bang, literally. Kevin’s general health had drawn the attention of authorities. Rather than try to hide him when they came, his mother had assured Kevin that everything would be fine and encouraged him to go out and meet them.
  
  
  For a 10 year old, Kevin thinks he did decently. Certainly he managed to endure a few hours of the increasingly harsh questioning without revealing his ability with plants. Something he continues to keep to.
  
  
  Eventually however, when there was no end to the series of people coming in to ‘talk’ to him, Kevin started to get scared. His requests for his mother were dismissed, then denied, then outright laughed at. When he tried to grab one of the people leaving, they struck him, knocking the boy back into a table. Not that the person stopped there. They grabbed his wrists, taking out the frustration of finding nothing on him. Something that only made the boy more terrified. In trying to break away, he triggered his abilities with fire.
  
  
  The fire blew both back, severely injuring his arms, and hospitalizing the person who had been questioning him. Not that he managed to get out via the rather impressive display. Instead he was shackled and thrown into a cell. Kevin curled up in the corner, sobbing and pulling at the shackles on his ankle despite the fire that occasionally flickered from his fingers. General belief is that this continued exposure to the fire is what triggered his final ability, the heat proof shielding.

  Kevin's room takes into mind his flame abilities. Consisting of a section of what he believes was originally part of the basement or part of a boiler room maybe? The room consists of two stone walls that are consistent with the stone ceiling and which face outside. Narrow windows, no more than 20cm in height but long, adorn the top of the walls. The other solid side consists of a wall of concrete that was rather clearly added later, although to the government's credit it was made well enough to not have any flaws Kevin can exploit. The final wall, the one facing the hall, is made up of bars. He hasn't quite figures out the metal yet, not that he tries overly hard. Instead he tends to stay back towards the corners with his cot of a bed or seated on the ground either in the one corner he can partially see the stairs coming down, or the corner between the two outer walls. Dirt has layered up over who knows how many years, hiding the original stone floor.
  
  
  The ceiling isn't in the greatest condition. The age shows in hairline cracks, and in the ability of water to constantly drip down onto whatever happens to be in the way. A condition that the person above him, Luke, takes advantage of in order to vary the location and pattern of the drips to make it as annoying as possible to the pyro. The oh so kind gesture is repaid with fire, Kevin spending hours a day/night coating the ceiling in flames around various spots and intensities to ensure that the floor of Luke's room is not that far off from a real live minesweeper. This habit ensures that any moss or mold or anything else that would normally thrive in the damp are burned out.

Personality: Danielle may sometimes be perceived as standoff-ish, or rude. In reality, she's actually just a quiet person. She's generally described as "bitchy". Which, at times is true. She tends to play with peoples emotions.

When it comes to the guards, she doesn't "take any shit" and tends to always put up a fight, usually causing her to be punished severely.

History: Born on a rather cold day in December, Danielle was perceived as a regular child. As a young kid she was very outgoing, played many sports and had a lot of friends rather than keeping to herself.

When the virus hit, Danielle became more distant to people, thinking if she died, she didn't want people's feelings to be hurt when she did eventually pass. She started to party, getting drunk every weekend and smoking weed just about every day, and began to use prescription medication to get high.

When her powers first hit, you could say she was both relieved and pissed off. Danielle has honestly just wanted to die, not wanting to see a world that wasn't the same as it once was. Though she never tried to commit suicide, she had thought about it quite alot. Powers:

1) Telepathy; ability to read minds

2) Animal mimicry; able to take on certain abilities of som animals.

3)Mind control; An advanced stage of Telepathy, Danielle may sometimes be able to control other peoples minds and insert certain thoughts into their head.

This armor is capable of withstanding heat as well as a fair amount of blunt damage. – Kevin keeps up something of a smokescreen in regards to this ability.   1.) Zara can turn into animals at will. Though it has to be animals that she has seen. Be it in real life, pictures, movies and things alike. If it were told by just word of mouth or she read it she would be unable to shift into it. If Zara feels an emotion really strongly she may have a pair of fox ears pop up on her head, but that doesn't happen to often.
  
  
  2.) Zara can communicate with animals. Which helps with getting important facts only downside is that some animals aren't that talkative.

She can be considered blunt and this leads people to believe she is rude or weird. She hates lying mostly because she is not good at it and she always feels guilty after a lie. Zara can sometimes seem like a mystery to people and that's because she is also one to herself.

  Before the virus Zara lived a pretty good life. She was diagnosed with bi-polar when she was young and had medicated to keep it under control. Her mother was a nurse who wanted to save everyone. Sadly she couldn't save herself as she had died in a car accident. Zara was only five when that happened and the lost of her mother hit her hard. It wasn't until she was around thirteen that she took a interest in planes. Her father who had worked in the military as a flight pilot took her out to see all the planes. Zara became fascinated by planes and made her dad give her lessons. Flying was her way of escaping from the reality of ever thing. Zara's father remarried a nice woman when Zara was fifteen. The woman had a daughter who was twelve. Zara and her new stepsister became quite close to the point where they would swear they were related by blood. When the virus started to infect everyone Zara's sister; Bly became ill. Soon after passing. Bly's mother stricken with grief left without so much as a goodbye and went god know's where. Zara had last seen her father when he told her that this camp would be safer for her.

  Bethany is a generally calm and quiet person. She will be open and friendly towards people although it isn't easy for her to trust people. She does what the guards tell her to as she is afraid of them, during her first week she tried to fight back against them but it just got her in trouble, one guard beat her after she tried to steal some of his food. So she has a scar on her back and her left wrist from that. Although she is quite quiet she has a fiery nature when she is threatened she will always try and fight back and will say if she disagrees with what you are saying or doing.
  
  
  Sometimes she gets stressed and freaks out if things either get too busy or too loud or if she ends up in a small space. As she hates feeling trapped. This can range from screaming fits to fainting or shaking she is a bit unstable.   Bethany was born in a small town, where everyone knew everybody's business. Her mother was a painter and her father was a teacher, they were never rich but they always had enough to get by. She was always a healthy baby that was full of life and she was never really sick. She was a confident happy go lucky girl who always tried to do the best and see the best in people. Bethany would spend her time painting with her mother or out with her father, she had a perfect life until the virus.
  
  
  When the 2014 virus struck, it didn't really effect her town she saw it in the news but she never thought it would effect her or anyone in her town. She wasn't the first one to get sick, her friends and classmates all got sick the numbers of children slowly decreased, her parents were always with her watching her paranoid in case something happened. They would flinch at every cough and sound and cry when she said goodnight to them as sometimes they thought it would be for the last time.
  
  
  By the middle of 2015 nearly all of the worlds children were dead, Bethany started to want to be sick. She hated sitting around waiting thinking like she was going to die. Knowing she was going to die, everyone else she knew, all her friends, cousins, classmates and they all died she didn't understand why she was still around. Eventually she fell ill, she had a fever and after a few days she ended up in a coma. But unlike most of the children she woke up.
  
  
  After she recovered at first her parents were over the moon, crying and hugging her. But after a few days they started to notice no one else had gotten better, all the other kids had died, they were worried about how that would effect Bethany but also worried about how the other parents would act so they kept her inside the house most of the time. When her abilities started to show up they avoided her like the plague, the telekinesis first showed when she wanted to go outside, she didn't understand yet as she was still groggy from the coma and she wasn't really fully thinking or working yet. She was sobbing and then she screamed she got so upset that a table got flung across the room. She doesn't know how it happened and she knows that she cant really control it.
  
  
  A few days after that the government showed up at her doorstep, Bethany wasn't sure but she thought that her parents had called them after the table incident. At first they were all smiles and manners asking her questions being patient when she wouldn't or couldn't answer them. But after a while they got frustrated. Her parents walked in and hugged her, after that nothing felt real. A government agent grabbed her hand and pulled her out of her house and into a car.   He was born in North Dakota to his parents who were both from Busan, South Korea. He was a very good baby. Audrey as a baby hardly every cried. As I child he rarely cried, got in trouble or yelled at his parents. This attitude followed him up to this point in his life.
  
  
  Once the virus hit in 2014 he didn't think it would hit him, but by early 2015 all of his friends were dead... he knew he would get it. He spent most of his days hiding about in his room. He'd come downstairs once and awhile.
  
  
  By mid-2015 he got sick which caused his parents to pull him out of school. Becoming sick caused first power started to show.. the first sign of power was when he froze the family dog...which worried his parents. His second power began to show when he made a bird come back to life for a short period of time.
  
  
  No longer than a day after the second incident the government showed up at his door and talked to his parents while he sat at the dining room table, not knowing the government was going to take him away to this camp. The government took him after talking to his parents briefly, never even letting him say goodbye to his parents.

  He was born in Oregon, US. He was a normal baby, cried when he was uncomfortable and smiled when he was happy. As he got older, specifically his teenage years he became more anti-social and rebellious. He went to more parties, never did his homework, skipped school, etc.
  
  
  Once the virus hit it was no longer fun and games. He parents pulled him out of school, hoping the virus wouldn't get to their son, but they were wrong. The virus got to him in early 2015.
  
  
  The first incident with one of his powers was when he was at dinner with parents and was in an argue with them, long story short he ended up levitating up to the ceiling. This incident frightened his parents dearly. They contacted the government at once, telling them every exact detail of what happened. The government came at once and took him away to the camp.   Luke’s hair is thick and generally long. Naturally wavy, even curly around the ends, he doesn’t do a lot to it beyond ensuring that it is untangled and soft enough that anyone who feels like running their hands through it will sensation as much as he does. The color can range a touch depending on the amount of sunlight, although it generally stays to the dark browns, the same as his eyes.
  
  
  Not yet full grown, Luke has put on a fair amount of height since being brought to the school, with some indication that he will continue to grow.   Luke at his core, is an incredibly confident person. True he is always aware of the people, situation, and most important, exits, but that habit exists more from experience than anything else. The same experiences that cause him to flinch back at sudden movements. A habit that he finds rather annoying but has come to accept and even on occasion make use of. Specifically when it comes to the guards laying into him. An event that happens fairly often.
  
  
  Not surprising really, since Luke has a mischievous streak and is in no way truly intimidated by the guards. He knows the government will never let him go, and all in all, he considers the treatment at the school at least reliable.
  
  
  Luke possesses fair intelligence, backed further by an eidetic memory in regards to situations, people, and most important to him, speech and body language. This can make him a little socially awkward, or rather, socially creepy, but generally he manages to overcome it mostly with flirting and other distractions.

  Audrey Kangjŏn – Luke, unlike Kevin, did not immediately approach Audrey. Instead the younger hung back, evaluating Audrey’s reactions and adjustments towards the camp. When he discovered that one of Audrey’s abilities was freezing, he approached him with an interest in the similar powers. The friendship was later solidified with how accepting Audrey is of Luke’s touchy feely habits. Luke remains friends with Audrey, despite the conflicting friendship the boy shares with Kevin. Audrey often acts as something of a middle ground between the two. He can even get them to act civil for short periods of time.

  Blythe Howell – Luke didn’t really take any notice, or any interest, in Blythe beyond the general appraisal he gives to anyone new coming in. He didn’t approach him, although he was debating on it when Blythe blew up on him. Luke reacted naturally, and viciously, and sealed his dislike for the man. Not that he acts on it generally, preferring to stay out of the way since he doesn’t feel he can gain anything useful from confronting Blythe.
  
  
  Kevin Jones? – Luke and Kevin have a rather complex relationship. Initially starting out as something like friends, with Luke benefiting from being under Kevin’s wing, the two had a rather nasty split. What exactly happened is unknown. The results however, are the subject of entertainment for the guards. As it stands currently, the pair have a tense relationship that at any point, comment, or even look, can erupt into a fight. These fights range from trading physical blows to snapping at each other with their abilities. Luke is particularly fond of soaking Kevin with water any time he gets a little too sparky. To best capitalize on this potential source of fun for the guards, the two have been moved so that Kevin’s room is directly below Luke’s. As expected, the pair use this situation to pick at and antagonize each other. Specifically in Luke’s habit of ensuring the water drips into different spots of Kevin’s room all night long, and in Kevin’s habit of keeping the floor nice and hot.

  Origami Magic – Anything that Luke folds into another form he is capable of giving what most would term magic to for a short period of time. Generally this is tied to the material that he crafts it from (type of paper), anything that may be written on the material, and what shape he folds the material into. The more complex, the longer it takes to craft the item but also the more complex magic he can work with it, or the longer it can last.
  
  
  > Butterfly - His favored creation is an origami butterfly with a rather intricate rune drawn on it. When finished he folds his hands around and then releases it by blowing on it. The butterfly takes on a soft glow in coloration with the material, and either flutters about or flies to its destination.
  
  
  > Lotus – One of his fastest and most varied in possible source material, Luke considers it the most useful. The complex seeming pattern generally takes at least half if not all of his attention. Once it is finished, and he sets it on whatever available surface, the lotus fills up with water. – It takes him about 5 minutes on average.
  
  
  

  
  
  
  

  Hydrokinesis/Waterbending – The ability to manipulate and control water in various forms (it is mainly limited to liquid water due to his inexperience/lack of time although it is noted that he is capable of unfreezing things with a touch and freezing things with his breath).
  
  
  Healing – The ability to restore living tissue to its original condition. At the current time it has to be wounds that have yet to scar over.   Luke’s early life was dominated by the figures of his mother and his uncle. His father had passed away prior to his birth, or so his mother told him. If he was alive he certainly never appeared, remaining nothing but a faceless figure he was ‘supposed’ to have.
  
  
  Not that Luke felt he was lacking a male figure in his life. He had his uncle who came to get him when one of his mother’s ever changing boyfriends appeared. Luke nearly lived for when he went to the quiet apartment where his Uncle would teach him origami and tell him stories about heroes and hope.
  
  
  Luke’s life started to turn bleaker when his uncle passed away in a car accident. Luke learned fast that he was to be unseen and unheard.
  
  
  Within a few years of his uncle’s passing, Luke found himself on the side of a freeway. Things actually got better without her around. There were other homeless who took him under their wing as best they could, showing him where to go for food and shelter. When things began to get hard however, they pushed him into joining a foster program. He tried, he really did. It was just, they wanted him to be like normal little boys. Instead they got someone who had been raised with the thought that he be quiet and unseen or he be beaten. He flinched at the slightest raised hand. Most foster homes would try and be understanding, but after a few weeks they expected it to go away. When it didn’t, they took him back like a broken toy to trade for a normal little boy. The others he ran from.
  
  
  When the virus struck, Luke was among the first to be hit. On the street again by that time, he counted himself as among the dead from the time the first of the telltale signs appeared. Rather than let him quietly slip away however, an old friend took him to the hospital. Amid the care, he started to recover.
  
  
  It turned out to be something of a double edged sword however, at least at first glance. Luke received the care he required to live, but he was put right where the government knew where he was and had control over everything. Once he was well enough to be moved, Luke was swept away to a government facility. Once he sat down to consider it however, Luke decided he considered the situation one that, while still a double edged sword, was one that skimmed over him. The government after all, would ensure that he was always within their sight, always had some form of shelter, and always had enough nourishment to survive.

  Luke’s room is fairly standard, with the exception that he lives right above what was once the boiler room. It is now the home of one Kevin Jones. One Kevin Jones who has the incredible urge to continuously try to burn Kevin’s feet. Not in a nice predictable way however. Instead the boy lights up certain patches that are continuously changing in pattern. In retaliation Luke makes use of his ability to control water. Using a nice steady hand gesture he pulls little streams of water from rust spots between the pipes located between the two floors, and then directs it in a variety of patterns and tempos down into Kevin’s room.

The guards haven't figured out a way to stop her from using this power yet, but the drugs make the duration of the duplicated power shorter. His first power was shown through when his parents were arguing with him, after he got better, and his moms arm was set on fire. He was sent to the camps after that.
