The story takes place in the kingdom of Ivalice, located in a peninsula surrounded by sea on the north, west and south, with a headland south of the landmass. Its geography features ranging landscapes, from plains to mountains ranges to deserts and forests. It is heavily populated by human beings, although intelligent monsters can be found living in less populated areas. Magic is predominant in the land, although ruins and artifacts indicated that past populace had relied on machinery, such as airships and robots.lvalice is a kingdom of seven territories, united under a monarch Ivalice's neighbors are the kingdom of Ordalia in the east and Romanda, a military nation to the north. While the three nations share common royal bloodlines, major wars have taken place between them. An influential religious institution known as the Murond Glabados Church heads the dominant faith, centering around a religious figure known as Saint Ajora.The story takes place after Ivalice ended its war with the two nations in what is known as the Fifty Years War, and is facing economic problems and political strife

Rapha younger sister of Marach


Shortly after Rapha and Marach were born, Grand Duke Barrington arrived in the village seeking to take the children to use their Sky and Nether Mantra for his own purposes. When the town leaders refused, Barrington had the village razed, and kidnapped the two youths. Rapha grew up believing Barrington has saved them from their village, and was tricked into serving him as part of the Khamja, an elite assassination team in the Fifty Years' War.

Shortly after Marach was born, Grand Duke Barrington came to his village to take Marach and his sister Rapha to take use of their special powers. When the village leaders would not cooperate, Barrington had the village razed, and kidnapped the children. Marach grew up thinking Barrington has saved him and Rapha and felt indebted, joining theKhamja, an elite assassination team, in the Fifty Years' War. During Marach's service under Barrington, he was unaware of his master's cruel treatment of Rapha, which culminated in Barrington raping her. Rapha tried to convince Marach of what was going on, but Marach refused to believe it.


Ramza Beoulve

Ramza desires to be a great hero and uphold the honorable name of his family, the House Beoulve. Ramza is enrolled at the Academy in the Magick City of Gariland, along with his best friend. Delita Heiral, who is a commoner and enrolled into the Academy at Barbaneth's request. While still a squire, Ramza becomes caught up in a struggle with the Corpse Brigade, a group of former knights who were abandoned at the conclusion of the Fifty Years' War. Ramza saves Argath Thadalfus, a servant ofMarquis Elmdore from a Brigade attack.

Delita was born to poor farmers on the Beoulve land. Barbaneth adopted him and his sister, Tietra, into House Beoulve after their parents succumbed to theBlack Death. Delita and Tietra became fast friends with Barbaneth's children Ramza and Alma Beoulve. While growing up, Delita attended the GarilandRoyal Military Akademy with Ramza and was with Ramza when they rescuedArgath Thadalfus from the Corpse Brigade.

Ovelia was born the daughter of King Denamda II, and is half-sibling of King Ondoria Atkascha III by different mothers. Following the death of Ondoria's second son she was adopted by the king as his daughter. With the birth of Prince Orinus Atkascha, Ovelia was brought up byDuke Larg and sent to a monastery. She recalls vividly the skies she could only see through the convent walls. At one point she had met Alma Beoulve, and before long was sent to another monastery, the Orbonne Monastery, to study with Simon Penn-Lachish.

is the younger sister of Ramza Beoulve and a member of House Beoulve. Unlike the two eldest Beoulve children, who are only half-brothers of Ramza and Alma, she is Ramza's full sister Like her brother Ramza, Alma is head-strong and stubborn, willing to risk her life in battle for his sake.

Barrington became interested in the Netherseer and Skyseer skills many years prior to the plot of Final Fantasy Tactics. He visited the village where Rapha and Marach, siblings who possessed the rare skills, were being raised. He intended to take the children for himself so that he could exploit their powers. When the town elders refused to cooperate with Barrington, he razed the village and kidnapped the children.


Barrington adopted the children, and convinced Marach and Rapha to serve him. Rapha, however, had her doubts about the Grand Duke. Barrington responded by keeping the two children separate. Marach was allowed to grow up relatively happy, unaware of what Barrington was doing to his sister. Barrington subjected Rapha to a number of cruelties, and when she grew a bit older, he raped her. Rapha now knew the truth about Barrington, but she was not able to convince Marach of the truth.


Zalbaag Beoulve

It was partly in thanks to Zalbaag's fighting that Ivalice was successful during the Fifty Years' War. King Denamda IV declared him the savior of Ivalice, and Zalbaag was granted the title of Knight Devout. At the death bed of his father, Barbaneth Beoulve, Zalbaag is appointed the new lord commander of the Order of the Northern Sky, whilst his elder brother, Dycedarg, was appointed strategist for Duke Larg.


Ondoria Atkascha III

King Ondoria was named 18th King of Ivalice when his father, Denamda IV suddenly died amidst the Ivalice war campaign against Ordallia in the Fifty Years' War. However, the Council saw that he was a weak-minded person to be in charge of the whole kingdom. He is married to Queen Louveria, who eventually becomes in charge of the policies in Ivalice.


His marriage gifted him with two sons; though both died at a young age, possibly assassinated. When the second eldest son died, King Ondoria adopted Princess Ovelia, who is his half-sister due to different mothers, as his daughter and possible heir. Months later, his wife bore a third child, Prince Orinus. This created a conflict in the choosing of future heir to the Ivalice throne.

A power-hungry individual, Queen Louveria made all the royal decisions since King Ondoria was never a fitting king to begin with. With the health of her husband waning, decisions had to be made over who was to be heir of the throne. Naturally, Queen Louveria opted for Prince Orinus; however, Princess Ovelia is the child of King Denamda IV, and was also seen as a candidate to the throne.


Determined to get the support of the nobles, Duke Larg was chosen as Orinus' guardian; until the Prince comes of age, Duke Larg would be his regent, and Queen Louveria would effectively "rule" as his adviser. But the Queen wants any opposition to Orinus' throne ousted.

kanji walks thru the kingdom trying to find her castle she walks up to one of the shopkeepers "can you show me the way to the castle" she asked as nice as she could the shopkeeper smiled and point right kanji bowed and walked away she spotted someone but ignored it and kept walking

Yuna thinks to herself "hmm why Lady Ovelia wishes to see me maybe because of the war" Yuna saw an unfamiliar girl "who is that? no matter i don't have time" she walk toward the castle as she speak to the guards "let me pass holy paladin Anna is here" she said to the castle guards "yes milady you shall pass!" the guard said as well Yuna walk pass them

as Kanji makes it to the castle she see that same person again walking into the castle again she ignored it and swifltly walked into the castle daydreaming she accidently bump into someone

Ramza Beoulve bump into Kanki "oops sorry about that i didn't watch where was i going" Ramza said he looks at you "hm? who are you i never saw you around here before" meanwhile Anna enter Princess Ovelia room "milady!" as she kneel down to her

kanji looked at him for a while with a emotionless stare then began to walk away she made it to the princess's room and opened the door again she saw the girl this time she stared at her coldly then faced the princess

Yuna looks at the girl and walk towards her "who are you and why are you here!?" Yuna shouted as than Princess Ovelia walk behind Yuna"Lady Yuna please calm down" Ovelia said with a calm sweet voice "but milady... alright" Yuna quickly looks away as than Princess Ovelia looks at you "who might you be?" she asked

kanji bowed "sorry milady for the inconvence but the latania want to inform you that the solders you sent were struck down" she said calmly she sat up and handed the princess the letter

" no imposssible..." Ovelia said in fear "milady! this must be Ivalice doing! let me go and take care of them" Anna said enrage "no we still need some solders to protect our kingdom and we don't have enough men powers to goes around" Ovelia said "than just let me go! i have enough powers to take out 1,000 solders!" Anna Reply "no i know your are a good solder Anna but we nee to worry about our own kingdom..." Ovelia said while walking away "only if my father was there alive... thing would been so easy" she thing to herself

"pardon me milady but I have seen who did it but I guess you don't care so ill be leaving" kanji said she walked to the window opened it and jumped out leaving a black rose on the edge of it and ran toward town

an unknown person walks in the room "hello i'm Delita Heiral" he said with a smile while blocking the walk way "i understand you may need some help" Delita said "Delita... why are you i throught you was with Ramza" anna said "Ramza order me to come back to help out our lady with this war" Delita said while smiling "but sir Delita..." Ovelia said with a said face "i understand you pain Ovelia you don't want anyone else to die but i promise you i will not let anyone else die" Delita said

kanji walked around town looking for a place to stay for the knight when a little kid ran into her he was crying she bend down and smiled" why are you crying "she asked softly the boy looked at her "my ....,mom help my mom please!" before she could say anything the kid dragged her it the scene there were 18 to 30 men attacking people they stopped when they saw her

"milady i will return i must handle some things back at home" as than Anna walk out of Lady Ovelia room "she have a lot to learn" Ovelia said "yup she is so stubborn that girl Kanji right?" Delita said "they both have a lot to learn thoese two girls may be the one to save our kingdom from this war: Ovelia said in a calm voice meanwhile Anna walking home she notice Kanji runing with a child "hm? what is going" she follows them

the child ran away only to be grabbed by one of the men 'look what we have here a little runt and girl" said one of the men the kanji glared at the men and pulled out a scroll she said something a black sword appeared she grabbed it and got into a stance "let the kid go " she said quietly the man which was leader laughed "or what your going to prick me" this mad here snap she attacked them

Anna came running "everyone stops this fighting royal paladin of the castle has come" Anna shouted as well she walk near the fighting "if you all don't put down your weapon or i will be force to attacks!" she shouted again

kanji smile up at the sky as she say the storm clouds she put the kid on her back and slowly started to walk away humming a soft yet said tone

"that girl she still have a lot to learn was this what the duke wanted me to see?" Anna walk the other way as she saw Zalbaag "my lord everythings is in order here sir!" Anna said "where is Kanji" Zalbaag ask "well she have gotten away my lord" Anna reply "so you fail me Anna i told you not to let kanji get away" Zalbaag said while enrage "milord if you just give me a chance i know i can return back toward you" anna reply again in fear "you got 10 days don't fail again anna" with that Zalbaag walk away

Anna tooks some guards with her to find Kanji and that child they look all over the city i guard as said they found them in a nearby hotel "finall at least someone did there job men move out don't let them escape!" anna shouted at the knights "yes milady!" the knights said "Zalbaag i won't failed you again" Anna said with tears falling down of her face
