Tutorial Fantrolls?

Дpyr means friend
Can somebody give me the steps to creating a Fantroll? Or a step by step guide? I am legitimately confused.

1. Make a trollhandle and name
2. Make the character via drawing or using an online maker
3. Profit

Depending on the rp, you can just make it whatever you want. A few of my fantrolls had Guitarkind and YoYokind. and if by hemoidentity you mean your blood color on the hemospectrum, then again just choose what you like. (Also the 3. Profit thing is just a meme, it has nothing to do with Homestuck)

Isn't there like special things with each blood color? Like bright red is mutant blood and is like culled or something?

Yes every blood color has its certain spot on the hemospectrum. Brown and Red like colors are usually the lowest whilst Purple and Blue like colors are usually the highest. (Caste/Royalty wise)

Ahh ok! Is there a good resource for fantroll creation?

I won't post any links to try and avoid anything close to breaking RPN Policy but just do a quick google search and one of the top few "dress up" things is what i have used before.

Talksprites however are more difficult to create with good custom variety, that'll usually have to be drawn.

The first thing to start with fantroll creation is the name. All troll names have a six letter first name and a six letter last name. These usually are thematic to the troll or their role or their lusus, or all of the above. As an example, Sollux Castor's name are the names of two twin brothers in Greek mythology, Pollux and Castor.

The next thing to decide is blood color. Blood color for trolls is important in multiple aspects, from their temperament to their likelihood of developing psychic powers to where they physically live in the world.

Trolls generally have darker or pallid blood colors. Mutants will have brighter blood colors than others, though it's possible that all mutantbloods are only bright red. The only thing that dissuades this is the color of limebloods, which are also considered a mutantblood, and bright red both being bright colors, which links color brightness to mutantbloods.

You can find the lowest bloods living in fields, and as you move upwards on the hemospectrum, you go from fields to deserts, deserts to forest, forest to mountains, mountains to beach, and the highest blood colors will live in the ocean. You'll notice that Karkat breaks the trend, and these are the mutants. They will live in obscurity, as Karkat is seen living in some troll suburb. This deters interest in him as an individual, because mutants can be culled on sight.

Lower blood colors are physically weaker than higher blood colors. To compensate for this, they will have a higher rate of psychic abilities developing among them. However, these psychic abilities only affect others with psychic abilities, while those with no psychic abilities and physical strength will be proofed against these abilities. As you move up the hemospectrum, the likelihood for psychic powers drops exponentially, save for the rarities in bluebloods and indigobloods. Bluebloods have a chance to develop these same abilities, as told by Aranea. Indigobloods have a special psychic ability called chucklevoodoos. These instill fear and control into troll society in the form of dreams and latent subconscious control. Limebloods used to be able to deter these chucklevoodoos, and would have led a revolution against the higher castes, had they not been culled and exterminated. They had an ability to calm and dissuade the nightmarish chucklevoodoos, and threatened the hemospectrum itself. It's thought that lime blood is what sits in the soporific slime of the recuperacoons.

Lower blood colors have a capacity for kindness and safeguarding, while higher blood colors have a capacity for mass violence and destruction, continuously becoming more unstable the higher the caste system climbs. Some trolls break this trend, but it's held that this is what dictates a troll's behavior. Because this influences personality, it can also affect classpects and god tiers as well. But this trend can break, as seen with Feferi.

Clothes are part of the hemospectrum, as is general wealth. You won't find a rustblood with a piece of jewelry on their body, and they may wear torn or worn clothing. But props and clothes can be added as the hemospectrum goes up. We don't see a unique piece of clothing up until Nepeta is introduced, with a raggedy cloak and tail.

Next is symbol. Don't stress about it. Find one or make one until you decide on something you like. These don't have to follow a specific pattern.

Same with troll horns, though horns generally aren't huge for trolls, as they grow larger with age.

Next, deciding interests and themes. A troll's room should accurately depict their interests, and their actions, trollhandle, and classpect should reflect their theme. To understand the complexities of their character, I find it helpful to look up any ideas you may have to their classpect, as these are more than just powers, but the entirety of a character's being, put into the narrative of the roleplay or story you plan to go into. Classpects aren't just part of the game, but part of a character even before the game begins. Every aspect a theme, every title to depict a behavior towards the theme, and their interests will always have something to do with this. However, as classpects are so complex, I won't go into detail about how to pick one or what a title entails. Aradia was literally dead, as a Time Player, and explored various ruins. Tavros, as a Page of Breath, means he had a deficit of freedom, seen by his legs, but expressed a want for freedom in the form of fantasy. You get the idea. You'll find a trend with the troll players as you go along and revisit their rooms.

It's not necessary, but all players in SBURB/SGRUB follow a pattern with their trollhandles being DNA binary, the words in their chumhandles always starting with G, C, A, or T, as you'll realize, GCAT. The exceptions are John, as ectoBiologist, EB, (but whose earlier chat name was ghostyTrickster, GT, which follows the rules) and Calliope/Caliborn (UU and uu, but in RNA, the GCAT becomes GCAU, as the T [Thymine] is replaced by U [Uracil] the letter U is generally considered reserved for Cherub players). However, this trollhandle scheme isn't necessary, considering DNA was mostly thematic for Homestuck only, and doesn't have to be thematic for all roleplays.

Those are the basics. I hope you have fun creating your fantroll!

also, some colors are mutants, obviously bright red, but mint, white, and black are also mentioned
