Realistic or Modern Espionage Wars V9: Migration Edition

"Catalonia Conducts Military Maneuvers as a 12 day long excerise comes to a close."
"This excerise, the largest Catalonia has conducted since the founding of the independant provience has sparked great concern and anger from the Spanish government. A comment from their foreign affairs office reads as "Catalonia's military drills have forever given us great concern over the security of the peninsula, this excerise has been no exception as it was way bigger and more aggressive compared to previous events. This has led us to believe that Catalonia is preparing for something." Catalonia has a rocky history with Spain since it's depature from the country, although backed by Great Brittney, Spain has always announced it's eventual invasion of Catalonia to retake it back into the fold. Perhap this was a show of strenght to Spain to show them that Catalonia will not be bullied or pushed over. This is Mike Williams, World News and now back to the studio."

Catalonia has been spending the past 40 years building it's military up both to the public eye and behind closed doors, while the world saw Catalonia as small military force they failed to realise that they became a very well prepared and highly advanced fighting force.

forumpic4.jpg

Catalonia's military has been slowly increasing in numbers as the Government starts a new recruitment drive since their last one in the 1980s. This excerise also proved a great way to get footage for their campaign of increasing their standing army both in regulars and reserves.

Fireteam Manoeuvres (FG).jpg
Urban Training (CP FG).jpg

This excerise also saw Catalonia using it's newly aquired Leopard 2CAs, these large steel beasts where specially produced for the needs of Catalonia by KMW, boasting incredible modularity and firepower with the L/55 120mm Main gun. This kitty packs a really punch. Catalonia purchased a total 50 of these over a total of 2 batches containing 25 each.

forumpic3.jpg
forumpic2.jpg

This excerise took place over a vast area in South-Western Catalonia, near the border with Spain. This is what primarily causes the great concern as Spain feels like it's about to be invaded. There will come a point where it was be like the boy who cried wolf and Spain may never realise they are being invaded if it ever comes to it.

Forumpic1.jpg

And now as the dust settles, the exercise is over the Spainish Government can sleep soundly tonight knowing that it was just another exercise and that Catalonia would never invade them to retake their native lands...

...Or will they?

The future only knows the answer to that one.

“Hey, wake up, we’re here.”

“Son of a bitch, I just fell asleep.”

“Yeah well I couldn’t, so you’re lucky. You ready for today?”

goodMorning.jpg
“No, but that’s never stopped me before. I’m just happy to be out of the fucking war. If I had to do one more op with those contractors, I was gonna puke.”

“Yeah, one time when we took prisoners they just kicked one in the face for no reason. Took his picture of his girl away too for shits and giggles.”

“Yeah I heard. Fucking barbarians.”

He looked outside the jeep window. “What’s the point of training these assholes again?”

“The government wants to turn these guys into trading partners and regional allies, so we’re helping them build up their forces with Western armor. That, and I heard they have some big plans for their main port once this war ends.”

“Yeah, and they control the White Sea-Baltic Canal. That’ll really piss the Samogitians off something fierce.”

“Just remember, don’t tell anyone where we’re from, even the Brakhovtkans. As far as the world knows, the NSU has nothing to do with this.”

"Did anyone find out who our partners were?"

"No? Good. Okay, let me see the report"

TOP SECRET

This report by General Vladmir Prokopenko should only be passed on to the highest levels of the armed forces of the Democratic Republic of Brakhovt.

On the 24th of July the convoy arrived, crossed the Brakhovt border and arrived at the Vyborg military base, as promised, 2 Leopard 2A4 models came and some instructors, the soldiers who came to train our crews were allocated in a restricted base building where only authorized personnel have access.

convoy of soldiers from our seller arriving along with 2 leopards 2A4.

On July 25, the defense minister came to analyze how the leopards and their crews were doing, he said he was very happy with the result. Furthermore, our soldiers reported that the instructors did a great job presenting the tank and its operation.
Ministro e leopard 2A4.jpg
In the image we can see the defense minister arriving to analyze the status of the tanks and the representative of our seller who later discussed details of the tank purchase agreement with the minister.

July 28th Our crews were completely familiarized with the tanks and were testing them in the field to analyze their performance, the soldiers said that the tank performs well, has high mobility and its fire control system is very efficient.
Leopard 2A4.jpg
Here we see some officers chatting as the crew returns with the tank after a few test shots, and in the background we can see the other leopard 2A4 having its maneuverability tested on a runway.

Summary
The tanks performed very well, all operations with the Leopards were done in complete secrecy, what was agreed with the representative is that 50 units of the vehicle will be sold, we are planning to build a factory so that the tanks can be made here in Brakhovt, plus some improvements with additional kits to improve some of the tank's features, but this is still uncertain. Negotiations are going very well and we are looking forward to making this and other agreements with NSU, Tanks and instructors will return after testing is complete.

Good Morning Leyte
Leyte Island, Somewhere...
With the revolution now in full swing, Rebel Rock Radio has gone into full overdrive mode. In these trying times they're the only reliable source the people of Leyte island have to learn what's going on in the outside world. Two figures have been at the spearhead of this initiative since the very beginning; La Voz (The Voice) and La Alma (The Soul) de Leyte. These two are the power duo that have been bringing word of the FWA's struggle to both the people of Leyte and the outside world. No one knows their true names or where they are located, though the two have very strikingly distinct personalities. La Voz is the more level-headed of the two, responsible for the reading of important news and relaying of coded information; truly without him the island would be in the dark.
gm_black_v30008.jpg

La Alma on the other hand is the more outspoken firebrand of the two. A die-hard Waray patriot through and through, he is the mouthpiece for the voiceless and his fiery rhetoric has inspired more than a few idealistic folk to turn to the cause. In addition, La Alma is also responsible for finding outstanding individuals and highlighting the positive aspects of Leyteño culture worth fighting for.

gm_black_v30009.jpg

Outside of Ormoc...
Before the LIM reorganized there had been many caches of weapons and supplies stored away in the countryside should they ever be needed. Being that the FWA only has the power to exert influence over the immediate areas outside of Ormoc and Isabel, the rest of the island is effectively under enemy occupation. Coded messages from R3 have sprung locals into action, and many sympathetic cells have begun to draw plans against local Filipino forces...
gm_black_v30006.jpg

Loyal locals are far from the only ones to make use of R3 and its coded broadcasts. Many of the stranded foreign mercenaries on Leyte have been paying R3 to broadcast messages for them around the island. One day something different would occur however. A call would go out in English (typically the mass broadcasts are in Tagalog) addressed directly to any contractors stuck on Leyte: "This is a direct message to any foreign nationals on the island of Leyte: "The Free Waray Army offers you an opportunity. All contractors who fight for the FWA will be granted safe passage off the island, amnesty for any crimes committed against the Waray peoples in the past and compensation for any personal losses incurred once victory is secured. This guarantee comes from President Barerra himself, and given that many of you were likely employed by him at one point or another you will know that he is a man of his word. Any contractors that are interested in this offer, stay tuned for future coded broadcasts that will feature your instructions..."

gm_black_v30016.jpg

Elsewhere within Free Leyteño territory, Whitman gets to work procuring favors from his various contacts for the future operation...
Pilot: (in English) "Okay Whitman, this makes us square for Marawi. You bring this damn chopper back in one piece or else I can kiss my job goodbye!"
Whitman: "Don't worry Ronaldo, I'll put in a good word with Barerra for you. When this is all over you can buy as many choppers as you want. Hell you can buy the whole news station!"
gm_black_v30007.jpg

Back in Ormoc...
Kenneth Farraday sets up his personal camera to interview one of the many young soldiers in Ormoc helping to rebuild. He looks to be barely older than 17 or 18..
Farraday: "Okay, just relax and say whatever comes to mind, no filter. So why don't you start by telling us a little about yourself?"

Soldier: "Um.. My name's Vicente Oroa. I'm 17 and right now I'm serving with the 3rd Logistics Company in Ormoc."
Farraday: "What did you used to do before you joined the FWA Vicente?"
Vicente: "Well, I dropped out of school so I could help my mama with her sewing business when I was 13. When the government started raising taxes and pushing embargoes on the island I had no choice but to start smuggling things on and off Leyte. I started out small with a local gang but eventually I got picked up by a couple of FWA guys. I've been with them for about a year now."
Farraday: "What happened to your family? Are they still living on Leyte as of now?"
Vicente: The boy's face would drop somewhat and he would pensively tap the mug of cold coffee he was holding "After Ormoc was abandoned my mama and sisters were arrested for stealing food. They were holding onto it so they could hand it out to the hungry kids in the neighborhood. I never heard from them after that. I have no idea if they're still alive or not..."
Farraday: "I'm so sorry to hear that. That has to be hard, being left in the dark like that."
Vicente: His cheerful demeanor would slowly return "Yes but, the work I'm doing here helps keep my mind occupied. I'm glad that at least I can do some good for the people here. We've been working closely with the 12th Engineer Company for the last few months and we've managed to get over 50% of the city's power grid back up on this side of the river."
Farraday: "That's great, but I heard talk that getting clean water is starting to become a concern."
Vicente: "Yes, we've managed to pump most of the flood water out of the city's tunnels but now we're facing new problems. The flooding damaged the pipelines and caused brackish water to contaminate the drinking supply so we're dependent on bottled water being shipped in from outside the city. We've had a few localized outbreaks of cholera but thankfully those have been isolated."
Farraday: "Do you know when the pipes are going to be fixed again?"
Vicente: "The thing is that it's not a problem that we can solve on our end. Since the jihadists tore the other side of the city apart and left it a ruin the contaminated lines are all originating from over there. God knows what kind of filth must be running into the storm drains with them living like rodents. The only way we're going to fix the issue is to send teams over to mend the pipes on that side of the river."
Farraday: "Right, I heard rumors myself that they were starting to put together parties to ford the river before the monsoons come back."
Vicente: "Yeah and I don't envy those guys. Walking right into that mess, who knows what's waiting for them over there.."
Farraday: "Right I think I've got what I need for now. I gotta cut this short Vicente but, thank you so much for your time."
Vicente: "Thank you. I hope you get this out to the world, they need to know what's happening here."
Farraday: "They will, trust me." Footage ends.

This report by General Vladmir Prokopenko should only be passed on to the highest levels of the armed forces of the Democratic Republic of Brakhovt.

After training the crews and testing the Leopard 2A4 tanks, it was decided that we would not leave any trace of Brakhovt's army involvement in this incident, I was given the task of finding someone to escort the convoy, the mercenaries of the Legio Fortvna me they were the most promising, their reputation for being trustworthy and doing the work in complete secrecy interested me, that's why they were chosen for this work.
Base.jpg

By the reports of the mercenaries' movement and some images that were sent to my office, the convoy's movement occurred on secondary roads and mainly at night, they were more methodical than I expected.
Convoy.jpg

Summary
The escort of the tanks was a success, an NSU general contacted me and informed me that the 2 tanks together with the crew and their instructors had returned safely, then negotiations began to pay the mercenaries, we had no problems and we managed complete the meeting and finish this business.

6th of August, Tsardom of Volhynia..

The Volhynian Air Force could today show a finished product of a new VTOL aircraft that have been in the works for a few years now, and until now has been top secret. Representives from ERR, Kergikstan and the Order was present, along with news media from all the ATO countries. The aircraft is called Slyusar-032 and is nicknamed "Huzelei", it was created and is produced by the Volhynian company "Slyusar Aerospace & Defense", who also created the Slysuar-102 Multirole fighter Jet.

The Huzelei will function as a troop transport and a heavy gunship much like the Mi-24 Hind, though it's advantages is that it can carry 18 troops or small vehicles and it's armor and speed has also been greatly increased, it's weapons has also been more modernised with, among other things, laser guided missiles.

Meanwhile....

It has now been a week since 600,000 young Volhynian men has started their basic training at the various branches and units in the Volhynian Armed Forces, this amount of new recruits has reached the all time record, the amount of men has been increased greatly after the annexation of Ukraine. Around 450,000 of the 600,000 has been assigned to Army units, the remaining 150,000 men has been spread out to Air Force, navy and Naval Infantry units. The conscription time is only 1 year with 2 months of basic training, 4 months of advanced training and then a 6 month duty time which nowadays consists of being part of the security forces in Ukraine.

......

The Danes fight fiercely while the bitch samogitians fight like retards, I saw a guy firing his gun from his hip while yelling, fired an RPG on his position, fucker didn't
say so much after that, I expected more from them, they're a modern army but some of them don't even wear helmets in battle, even the Ukrainians fought and were equipped better than these guys.
The NSU troops disapprove heavily on our methods. Myroslav told us to keep it down or atleast don't do shit infront of them, I wonder when they'll understand that we have to kill the enemy to beat them, not hug them..

......

Meytus mercenaries continue their fighting in Denmark, proving yet again their combat effectiveness by inflicting great damage on the Danish and their allies in the town of Nykøbing. Meytus has also deployed sniper teams to hold down advancing enemy troops.

June 19th Kergikstani-Kazachstani frontline near Aktobe
...

Clearing the trenches of Kazakhstani defenders had been a difficult task - the defenders did a good job of holding our assault by planting mines in some parts of the trenches, but it was not enough to stop our combined forces pouring down on them. I was part of the second wave sent it to supplement the first wave, and it was a mess when our platoon arrived: the trenches were full of bodies with signs of desperate hand to hand combat all over the place. Inside the first trench our squad entered we saw a young woman - she did not respond to any my squad mates’ words. I assume she was shellshocked after all she was just staring at some dead irregular fighter's body.

She had no emotion - just a blank look, as if she was staring straight into maw of Hell. Last I saw of her she was carried off by medical units to be treated... But I can’t really rub off the image of what I saw when I entered the trenches, it was like the battle for Aketobe, or Bursa in Turkey all over again...
The funny part is that I think their government abandoned them, since not a single body from the Kazakhstani army was found. It was just irregular fanatics, brave and foolish enough to stand against our regular units.

...

Kerg trench raiders.jpg
Soldiers from 1st platoon discovering the remains of the 4th platoon.

General Malik's charge was successful in routing in the Kazakhstan defender's, Intel already suggested that few lines of the defenders were already attempting to retreat as when the first wave of soldiers arrived to clear the trenches it was pretty clear most of the Kazakhstani government forces left at the cover of night, estimated days ago leaving only the fanatic irregular soldiers most of whom were mixture of refugee's from aketobe who lost everything during the battle that took place there. Only a few POW's were taken mostly because the irregular's took to dying to the last seriously, nonetheless with the ERR and Kergikstani fighter jets performing hunter killer operations to catch up to the retreating government forces it's only a matter of time before the survivors were hunted down to prevent any defense ground from being taken. However the battle concluded with biggest casualty rate counting Kergikstani forces estimated up to 300+ dead and 750 wounded in action, this trumped aketobe which only had 100+ dead and 430 wounded in action. While the Kazakhstani defenders were unknown since some claim there were too many bodies to count but it is estimated in hundreds. At this time general Malik was reportedly reprimanded by the minister of defense for disobeying orders to halt any sort of advances, however the general fired back claiming that an assault was necessary to prevent retreating forces from mounting more defenses.

June 22nd

SAT combat squads have been around the clock assisting in hunting down retreating government forces, with at least some convoys targeted and terminated. 1st recon and 2nd recon was also tasked with assisting hunter killer units by deploying them further behind into enemy lines by paradrop, they successfully marked many retreating forces and most were destroyed by ERR and Kergikstani fighter jets and some targets were hit by ERR heavy bombers in carpet bombing runs which some of 1st recon reported turned many highways into somthing to a scene out of the highway of death.

June 28th

With many of the successful unconventional warfare done by the kergikstani SAT commando's and Signal Reconnaissance corps units, Kazakhstan sent in their own special forces with the goal to disrupt advancing kergikstani army forces and to hunt down Signal Reconnaissance corps units, and by the day goes by some SAT commando's were ambushed but mostly repelled the Kazakhstan commando's however same could not be said for Signal Reconnaissance corps units some squads were wiped out forcing many recon units to go into hiding while some successfully completed whatever objectives they were tasked with but with mounting pressure by Kazakhstani special forces, Kergikstan had requested for more SAT commando's to be sent in to protect recon squads and fight off commando's they also requested ERR Special forces to assist with this operation.

4th of August, Kulsary City

Kulsary city has been always down on their luck with a nickname being the "Chicago" of central asia, with a high crime rate and being the Centre of organized crime throughout the Republic of Kergikstan, from gang shootings to last year's terrorist attack to now a city under siege by rioters. For retaliation for the crackdowns in the capital by security forces an unknown number of extremists members of the "Underground kergikstani socialists" decided to rile an already tense situation in kulsary, socialist protestors during the month of July spread misinformation and rumors to the more impoverished districts of the republic along with riling socialists living in the more richer district. In the present with all of the extremists handy work resulted in protests against both the government of kergikstan and the city of kulsary, with intelligence by unknown benefactors some saying given by the Kergikstani Bratva, the kulsary police force ordered an raid on the makeshift HQ of the protestors which was an 10 floor apartment block. Kulsary SWAT and assistance from CDF raided the building by riding in with ambulances and civilian trucks then a CDF BTR 40 smashed straight into the apartment's entrance, with no casualties on either side and a lot of people arrested regardless of stance resulted in both the capture of the protest leaders and alot of their members, with rumors of brutal on the field interrogation fanned the flames of anti government attitude in the city.

5th of August

Naturally with the recent mass arrest's that happened in the 4th of august, reports of this spread to the capital resulted in socialists answering the call of duty and many drove into the city of kulsary to protest the recent mass arrest, calling for the release of all the people currently being detained in Kulsary police custody. When the peaceful protest did not work the protestors started to mob on buildings with a large group of rioters attacking an local strip mall, mass looting of many shopfronts go unnoticed by mall security as many also participated in the looting as well the mall was later converted to a "Autonomous zone" by the rioters before being ejected by KPD officers showing up with lethal weapons.

9th of August, Pyatimar proving grounds

Kergikstani defense company Inderbor Avtomat Solutions has recently shown and tested their new marksman rifle as a response to demands put forward by the ministry of defense, the demonstrations spectators included the president of kergikstan Daniyal Zelensky, Defense minister Karim Golovkin and commanding officer of the Signal Reconnaissance corps Commander Alexander Likhovtseva. The rifle was tested by reservist member of 2nd recon and the demonstration and test concluded with the rifle testing up to 810 meters. With the recent demo concluded the company was awarded the contract apparently on the spot by the defense minister. The rifle was given the official designation of “KMR-01” and is slated to replace the HK-417 and M14 rifles the kergikstan army currently uses, The rifle is chambered in 7.62×51mm NATO but could be rechambered in 7.62×54mmR, the company also stated that export versions for ATO nations and friendly nations are available.

A picture of the suspected Meytus PMC commanders was recently uploaded on Meytus's website, two former officers from the Volhynian special forces, one of them also being Tsar Vitaly's younger brother, Myroslav Romanov.
same night a post about a recent raid by either Danish or GDS forces was conducted on a group of rogue PMCs from Meytus that had been operating near the frontline.

Ormoc Airfield, Early August...
Having secured their means of transportation and the necessary contacts being made, Whitman presents his plan to Barerra, Cordoba, and a few other high ranking FWA members. The plan is that Whitman and his team of hand-selected mercenaries will make their way to MacArthur municipality and conduct a two phased operation. Using local guerrilla cells who performed recon on the mine, they will simultaneously assault an inbound train coming to collect iron ore from the mine while Whitman's team will attack the mine itself and secure it before the alarm can be raised. Double agents inside the facility will neutralize the communications center to prevent any calls for help.
mknthmplnsagn.jpg

With Barerra having given his blessing to the plan, Whitman and his men begin to make their move. One team lead by Whitman will assault the facility from the ground to draw attention away while the chopper will insert a second team to take advantage of the confusion. At midnight the plan is sprung into action.
gm_black_v30001.jpg

FWA Irregulars lie in wait to ambush the inbound train. They'll have to swiftly board the train and seize it while relying on Whitman's mercs to have taken the mine by the time they arrive. Precise timing and swiftness of action will be key. By 0115 the train comes into sight and the guerrillas prepare to make their move.gm_black_v30001.jpg

Despite the difficulties involved with boarding and seizing a moving train, the irregulars manage to make it aboard and fight their way to the engine. The unexpectedness and ferocious speed of the attack caught the sleepy Filipino troops guarding the train completely by surprise, and they were dispatched in short order with only a handful of friendly casualties. Despite their inexperience and lack of training, the guerrillas performed their part of the plan admirably.gm_black_v30004.jpg

While the irregulars assault the train, Whitman's ground team reaches the western perimeter of the mine and prepares to breach the outer wall. Once the all-clear signal is given from inside the control room the assault will begin.breach exterior.jpg

At approximately 0045 a group of soldiers breached the doors of the communications station. Each one of the men had a piece of yellow ribbon tied to their kit somewhere to distinguish them, and they said nothing as they killed their former comrades in cold blood. Once the room was secure, the doors were barricaded and the go signal was given for Whitman to attack.gm_black_v30002.jpg

The western wall instantly disappears in a brilliant flash of light. Whitman and his team swiftly make their entrance and begin to neutralize all threats.breach interior.jpg

As with the train the speed and savagery of the attack catches the defenders completely by surprise. Some try to organize a hasty resistance but are dealt with in short order all the same.gm_black_v30004.jpg

At the same time the chopper touches down in the eastern motorpool and the second team springs into action, pushing in on the enemy from behind as they're distracted by the chaos caused by Whitman's team. chopperland.jpg

Once the second team has hit the ground the chopper then takes off with a single gunner remaining aboard to provide the teams with aerial cover as they move to the interior of the facility. Sadly the claustrophobic environment makes it extremely difficult to avoid noncombatant casualties.chopperstrafe.jpg

Eventually the train arrives to find a friendly welcome waiting for them. Friendly forces quickly get to work on the next phase. The FWA will leave a skeleton crew behind to maintain the mine's cover. The double agents are familiar with schedules, radio callsigns and the like so will be able to keep up the illusion that nothing is wrong. (at least for a while before the government starts wondering where their iron ore shipments are.) The FWA will hold onto the train for now to be used for other purposes later, and soon the FWA will reach out to the foreign corporation that owns the mine to negotiate the re-acquisition of their property. In the meantime Whitman will return to Ormoc to debrief his superiors on the operation. This will no doubt prove to be a great financial windfall for the Free Leyte effort. gotusatrain.jpg

"Jotunn 1, this is Jotunn 2-4. The shore by the blue shed is clear of hostiles. Beach there and head for the tree line."
The team gets in the secondary boat and quickly sails to the clear part of shore.

"All teams, this is Jotunn 1. Be advised, package is set and ready to blow."
"This is Jotunn 2. We're all clear."

Jotunn 1-Actual switches her radio to a different frequency.

"Jotunn 1, this is Jotunn Actual. Permission granted. Have a nice night."
"Roger that."

Jotunn 1 turns to her squad.
"Everything's in place. Everyone ready?"
They all nod silently but eagerly.
"Good. Let's hope the Samogitians stocked up on meat jelly, cause they're not getting any for a while."

At that, a member of her squad, Jotunn 1-3, pulls out a small remote and sets it to the proper channel.

Pridnestrivia is a nation located in Spain that parted it's ways in the Francoism Era. Currently it has no intentions of invading other's territory and starting a war, although it always try's searching for ways to expand it's military, meaning it's economy isn't at it's best.

15th of August, Kulsary City

As the city of Kulsary braced for another day of looting, The president Daniyal Zelensky had ordered an immediate intervention by the CDF after reports came to him about the local kulsary city government failing to stop the heavy anti-war riots. As part of the intervention CDF units from Atyrau and other provinces arrived to quarantine the city, with soldiers barricading the entries and exits of the city and announcing state of emergency, many panicked citizens and anti-war rioters heard about the arrival and started to congregate in these barricades trying to escape before an full lockdown of the exits and entries were completed and started to attack the CDF who responded in kind with rubber bullets and tear gasses, and in some cases warning shots. At least 20 anti war rioters were injured and 3 were killed the blockades were eventually completed later in the day and curfew was announced.

Kergikstani-Kazachstani frontline...

With kahzakstani defense line fallen and secured by the kergikstani armed forces, General Malik planned for the next phase of the campaign which was now to secure strategic locations with the objective to secure Shalkar and the surrounding towns and villages to secure an better foothold for the upcoming operations, while kergikstani and ERR rear units hunt down kahzakstani stragglers left behind by their retreat, 1st Infantry division along with the 2nd Infantry division were ordered to move their forces forward to start preparing for battle of Shalkar reigion as OIA intelligence suggests some of the stragglers not caught by kergikstani forces retreated there.

As part of an top secret field trials conducted by Arbour Industries, Kergikstani Government and the OIA, as part of the confidential kergikstani drone program which started back in 2009 and finally completed this year, the first drone which completed diagnostic trials were sent into kahzakstani airspace undetected by kahzakstani radar to start testing it's spying capabilities and to finally field test the drone after years of development hell and trial and errors. The executives at Arbour assured the government that this new next generation drone will be equipped with the state of the art anti-radar, jamming and countermeasure technology and with the ability to equip 4 weapons on it's hardpoints including 1 in it's internal weapons bay combined with the execs saying the drone is capable of reaching speeds up to 2,400 km/h at least with this current model which was designated the XQ-00. As for allied sales no talks by by executives as they were more concerned first to complete field trials before adoption and mass production were to be initiated.

Kergikstani forces have recently secured most if not much of the rear as part of the campaigns objective by General Malik, most of the stragglers who failed to rejoin their forces near the shalkar region were either killed or taken as prisoners of war by the kergikstani army. They haven't met opposition using the former highways in kahzakstan aside from the occasional straggler ambush, land mine detonation or precision airstrike. With kergikstani army converging on shalkar and its neighboring towns it's only an matter of time before both sides violently clash once again.

The BBC's international correspondent in Brakhovt Camilla Bernardes is speaking here, today is the 23rd of August 2021 and I am on one of the main streets in the center of St. Petersburg, as you can see in the background there is a traffic jam, as many people are trying to head to the winter palace, which is where the President of the Democratic Republic of Brakhovt will make a live statement, which in his words 'will talk a lot about the future of Brakhovt', and as we can also see, some soldiers from the military police of the army were activated to contain any kind of turmoil.
engarrafamento.jpg

As he began his speech, the president thanked him for all the support he received during his re-election in 2020, and said that after giving the economy a big boost in his previous term, he said his next goal is to modernize Brakhovt's armed forces. , began by revealing to the public an agreement he had made with NSU on the construction of a factory in Brakhovt for the production of 2A4 leopard tanks in the national territory. faster than expected and in addition, a few tank units have already been produced and are in operation in some elite armored regiments of Brakhovt's army.

furthermore, the president informed an agreement with Kergikstan about the purchase of modern versions of Leopards 2A7 that would be designated for elite units, after the ranks of brakhovt are filled with Leopards 2A4. He also stated that when leopards form the majority of brakhovt's ranks, he will contract with Tarragona Industries to develop an improved version of the Leopard 2A4 tank but that is still not right.

When asked about the expenses that all these purchases would generate, the president stated that thanks to the economic boom that Brakhovt had, he will increase military spending from 2.5% of GDP to 3% of GDP.

The president stated that the army is not only planning for the future, it is always training and training its soldiers whenever necessary.

When asked about the leaked images of Brakhovt's special forces, the president did not say whether it was true or false, just said that "any rumor that he would try to silence the opposition with the special forces is a lie of the opposition created to try desperately to destabilize my government"

Island of Leyte
Ormoc...
Monsoon rains begin to return to the Philippines. So far the showers have remained lighter than before, though they are expected to pick up in intensity again soon. Rebuilding efforts in Ormoc continue along the west side of the Anilao. It's been almost over a month now since any activity has been seen or heard from the jihadists on the other side of the river, and scouting parties sent to the other side have reported that the place is a total ghost town. It's agreed by all that the most likely scenario is that the jihadists fled back into the jungle once they ran out of rockets and mortar rounds to harass the FWA with. This has allowed restoration efforts to continue at breackneck speeds. At this point, over 70% of western Ormoc has had power and water restored, with only the most flooded districts still uninhabitable. Some parts of Ormoc have even seen civilian cars return to the streets. After the reports from Kenneth Farraday had reached the public, many NGOs and foreign humanitarian funds have offered to provide consultation and other assistance for the reconstruction effort. It is planned that heavy equipment from the captured mine in MacArthur will be transferred to Ormoc and repurposed for construction use. Despite this efforts can only continue to a point before the returning monsoons will force them to shut down again for the rest of the season.
restoringstuff.jpg

With the Battle of Ormoc finally having come to a close, it is decided that the establishment of a civilian police force would be a top priority. The main police precinct was one of the first buildings to be rebuilt to a usable state after the fighting, and volunteers quickly flooded in once the announcement was made. By the end of the first two weeks, the new Ormoc Metropolitan Police Force had already grown to nearly 300 members. This is a great benefit for the Free Leyte movement, as not only can FWA troops be moved out of the city to the airfield (the FWA's new primary base of operations in the area) but seeing civilian officers on the streets again instead of heavily armed soldiers will go a long way toward helping to establish a sense of normalcy in Ormoc after the months of brutal fighting.
gm_black_v30004.jpg

FWA troops have been pulling out of Ormoc proper and consolidating at the airfield to the north. Patrols have been frequently sent out to the north and east of the airfield to assess the strength of government resistance in the countryside. The engagements have so far been small in scale but no less bloody than Ormoc. A Filipino army checkpoint blocked the main road into the village of Valencia, and a fierce firefight ensued between the two sides. Despite their previous experience fighting the militants that seized their city, the FWA's first true test against a conventional military force is a pyrrhic victory. A platoon of 40 FWA soldiers was reduced to about 15 men before reinforcements arrived and cleaned out the rest of the checkpoint. Total losses were 3 FWA 4x4 vehicles and 36 soldiers while the Filipino army lost only 12 men, one 4x4 and one APC. About 7 Filipino soldiers were taken as POWs and two Iveco 4x4s with mounted 50 cals were captured intact, so at least some good came out of the exchange.
gm_black_v30000.jpg

Elsewhere on Leyte...
Disgruntled farmers and fishermen everywhere on Leyte have begun to rise up against government oppression. Soldiers have been ordered to seize all crops and other caches of food they can find, though now when conducting routine food raids they have begun encountering guerrilla resistance. Rather than allow the government to take their food, many farmers have opted to booby trap their properties with IEDs and other nasty surprises for incoming troops. The situation on Leyte is certainly becoming tenuous at best for the Filipino government.

August 29th, Donetsk, Volhynia

......

Dear father

I have been transferred to the Donetsk region, we rotated with second platoon at a rather remote outpost 60 kilometers from Donetsk city. The guys from second platoon told us rebel activity was higher here in the eastern provinces of Ukraine, a lot of the people who live here are of Russian origin and some seem more loyal to Russia than Volhynia, I talked to a Ukrainian who joined the Volhynian army after the war, and he told me the people here has always identified themselves as Russians rather than Ukrainians, strange if you ask me.

As you know, we are mostly new guys in my platoon, the only experienced guys are our sergeants and the 1st corporal, all who served in the war 3 years ago, most of them fought in Kyiv 8 months ago too. I feel safe on patrol, although the lieutenant misread the map 2 times and we had to walk an extra 8 kilometers, nothing too bad.

We also have an agent from the VSS who accompanies us on patrol, I've seen him interrogating the locals when we come to the small villages. His methods are questionable, and it makes me sick whenever I hear him brutalizing the civilians. I've talked to my sergeants, but they say thats what they've been doing for months now and we can't do anything about it.

I’m looking foward to return home to the farm, I need to be out there helping you, 4 months more and then I return, don’t worry about me.

Send my regards to mother and Maryna

August 30th, Lviv Oblast, Volhynia

Today the Volhynian Army could introduce the new TK-21 or as it's called in the VAF, LMG-21 that has been designed and produced by the Volhynian arms designer company Taranokov Weapons Industries
The LMG-21 combines the M60 and the HK-121 as they were seen as the best candidates for what the Volhynian soldiers had requested. The TK-21 has a firing rate of 800 rounds a minute, the ammunition used is the same of the PKM, the style of the gun also makes it more ergonomical, as that was one of the main concerns with the PKM.
At the showcase, high ranking officials from the various branches in the Volhynian Armed Forces was gathered to watch selected soldiers from various units in the army use the TK-21.

While the Danish certainly are no strangers to being involved in warfare, it's still quite a rare thing for war itself to be waged within their very homeland. Rarer still for the Danes is to be willingly absorbed by an ever-growing foreign entity that supposedly has their greatest good in mind. And yet rarest of all for anyone in the region is to catch the interest of the only other humanoid species on Earth. As the North Sea Union and the Grand Duchy of Samogitia fight each other for the scraps of land remaining free inside Denmark, the pack of pale vultures flying overhead have their sights on something a bit more valuable to both than just a few kilometers of soil. Within their strange aircraft without any recognizable markings, they soar above the seaside cliffs and small towns that dot the Danish coastline. Those that were lucky enough to see them fly past wonder which of the two warring armies they belong to. If only they knew that neither of them have anything as advanced.

EW_Denmark1.jpg

Landing in separate clearings within distance of Nykøbing, the Androsynth on board lie in wait until the fighting clears up just enough for them to creep into the city and do whatever it is they arrived here to do, and hopefully maintaining secrecy.

EW_Denmark3.jpg

And yet what are they truly here for? It's seldom for the Androsynth to come out of the United States and interact with the rest of the world; especially physically. All their activities are kept top secret and away from any potential prying eyes, the intricate details and intents of whatever the Ayatollahs scheme never leaves their grand mosque, and there's no one on earth that has gotten close enough to truly understand them. So why have they come to Denmark of all places? And in such few numbers too? Does Denmark hold a special significance to them? Maybe they made a deal with one of the warring powers? Or maybe it's simple; they're just sharks; drawn to the blood in the water. Maybe they just here to be amused by seeing humans kill other humans, though if they wanted to entertain themselves watching the fighting between the NSU and the GDS, they could've done that from the safety of their city.

EW_Denmark2.jpg

Though perhaps in time this question will have it's answer, and it might just best be avoided if the NSU and GDS are wise enough.

FOB "Juan El Grande"
Early in the Morning.
Denmark.

The UH-60 slows down it´s rotors over one of the many landing pads of the Airbase, in a rather busy runway: men and women from the DVEF, the GDS and the Danish Armed Forces move from one place to another with crates, full gear on, weapons, and giving orders or receiving them, but a calmed man, with a very different uniform, descends from the Black Hawk into the ground, while one the crewmen hands him his luggage.
-There you go, good luck sir- says the man in the mask, getting a firm nod by the man with shades and cold stare.

1630822579697.png

Another crewman from the airport shouts to the man to follow him, and gains composture after a second look and realizing who this man is, wearing multicam, the logo of a certain cat, it´s more than crystal clear: A member of the GATO Group, a special forces unit that only it´s allies would be lucky of seeing without being at the other side of their muzzles. The soldier tries to pick up the bag but the man grabs it first
-No problem, I got this, boy- Says the man, with no apparent disgust yet no sheer on his voice.
- I was sent here to escort you to your barracks and the command center, sir- says the young airman.
-Heh, escort ? Im not the president kid, don´t worry, go and help anyone else, if I found my way to Georgetown when I fought in Guyana, Ill get my way to a barrack... but thanks, though- His voice and temper allowing himself to sound rather friendly, as he didn´t actually like to sound rude towards his own men, after all, he was once a young boy too.
The kid understood and with no little issue, he went into doing other duties. The man sighed, looking and hoping the best that lad, fo all the lads that were going to risk their lives from now on, and grabbing his bag, he said only to himself in the middle of the runway "Well, Denmark..

1630824262708.png

Sebastian, the man with a past like everybody else, tossed away all the overthinking from the moment and decided to head to it´s barracks. A small but effective contingent of the GATO group was sent to Denmark to help the efforts and find ways to weaken the NSU defences, and to investigate any suspicious activities in the area, such as the now more than known rumors of a foreign PMC company involved in the war, doing things that Sebastian would punish for, things for why he suffered in his hidden past, things to why he enlisted: to make sure they never happen again. That´s why he was here, as part of these newly arrived members; they had a lot of tasks, and they were making sure they would succeed. Sebastian sighed, and prepared to what he knew best to do: War.

OPERATION: JUAN´S SPECTRE.
"EJECUTEN, EJECUTEN, EJECUTEN"
Falster Island, Denmark.

Earning the nickname "Husares del Cielo", large portions of the 17nd FAV Air Wing deployed from the allied FOB´s in an effort to help the GDS breaking the stalemate of the situation in Nykøbing and the war in general.

In the morning at 7:00 AM, several planes of the Venezziolan Air Force took off in order to tirelessly conduct all sorts of missions, mostly consistin of patroling the outskirts of Nykøbing, looking for any enemy reinforcements to destroy. While not confirmed to be a total amount, around 20 of these planes were sighted.
Alongside this Air Operation, the DVEF High Command announced that there are operations ongoing to "Hit major NSU objectives and reinforce the GDS and Danish Forces currently fighting".

While old, a pilot revealed that these Phantoms were modernized and heavily changed for being more light and agile, hoping to have certain advantage over the NSU´s aerial countermeasures. There are other types of fighters in the area, but no available photos of them for now.

Meanwhile, there have been reports of ground troops trying to assist the stalemate, which have been somewhat halted by the NSU sabotage of the bridges, which hasn´t been an apparent stop to the DVEF, as various journalists suggest that airborne units have managed to land with the help of air escorts.

"It´s tiring but we do it with a grin still" says a pilot who remains nameles, as he takes a nap to hold on onto another flight mission in an hour.

There are rumors that a GATO team infiltritated alongside this units and already began fighting alongside GDS forces, but with no confirmation yet, as military spokesmen haven´t adressed any situation regarding the GATO group yet. A rumour via a soldier on a FOB on social media says that he heard some higher ups talking about a unindentified helicopter sighting which hasn´t been confirmed if its enemy special forces or a foreign PMC, despite this internet rumour being considered not serious and even the soldier saying that it´s probably an error on a radar.

More updates will be given soon, Godspeed, and God Bless the Republic of Venezziola.

September 3th, St. Petersburg, Democratic Republic of Brakhovt

The Tsardom of Volhynia has today set up an embassy in the Republic of Brakhovt's capital, St. Petersburg, with the intention of creating a friendship and more cooperation between the two countries.
The ambassador chosen for this task is Artemas Pavlovych Stasyuk, a noble from a renowned family in Lviv. There has been a lot of focus on the embassy security as St. Petersburg has a large ethnic Ukrainian population, it is a possibility that someone might seek revenge for the war that ended in the annexation of Ukraine 3 years ago.

Yesterday, C.A.R.C - Central Aeronautical Research Commission's (a joint ATO organization for combined research efforts in aeronautical, rocketry and space exploration) director Arman Zhaparov has announced that the Arcturus Spark project, has finally reached its final phase. The very first jointly developed modern heavy rocket engine prototype has rolled off the assembly line in one of the central C.A.R.C plants, finally setting a definite date for a landmark rocket test.

The project for fully homegrown and modern space rockets, which has been in progress since 2nd half of 2019, combined full scientific and industrial efforts of all 3 ATO member states:

Eastern Roman Republic (ERR) - beginning with successful reverse engineering of SCUD missiles throughout 1990's, all the way to domestic production of all kinds of advanced missile systems that were instrumental in the defeat of Turkey during the Anatolian War, ERR's hard-earned know-how of rocketry, propulsion systems played a central role in the development of perhaps the most complex component of the rocket - the engine.

Tsardom of Volhynia - undoubtedly the most advanced in the field of aerodynamics and aerospace engineering as evident from such recently unveiled projects such as Slyusar-102 Multirole Fighter Jet and Slyusar-032 "Huzelei" VTOL aircraft. Their involvement included the production of almost the entire rocket's structure system.

Republic of Kergikstan - with its advanced high-tech and electronics industry which is leading in ATO, Kergikstani scientists have produced cutting edge avionics and computer systems intended for the successful operation of the rocket launch and all control stages.

Arcturus_Engine_1.jpg
One of the prototypes of Arcturus-1 rocket engine undergoing final calibrations before being approved for the first ignition tests.

In addition to the bigger prototypes, the project had also developed a miniaturized version of the engines designated as Arcturus-1(M). These smaller engines will be used to research more advanced propulsion systems for short-medium-intermediate range ballistic missiles, as well as a possible modernized solution to current aging SLBM's propulsion currently in possession of ERR's navy.

Arcturus_engine_test.jpg
Arcturus-1 smaller sibling Acturus-1(M) undergoing ignition test in Ruen Proving Grounds (ERR) on 2021-09-07.

International observers and experts have been long worried about the Arcturus Spark project. In the context of recent and continued expansionist policies of ATO, it was cited that the plans of the alliance are also mainly military-minded and could even be the precursor to the development of ICBM's, rather than the previously lauded promise by C.A.R.C. that the rocket is developed with peaceful intentions in mind, such as use as a satellite launching vessel.

Regardless, neither C.A.R.C. nor any ATO member states have denied these claims and continue their policy of deliberate ambiguity towards nuclear armament development and enrichment of uranium for nuclear device production purposes.

City of Ormoc, Leyte island, Phillipines

After a chain of recent attacks on Philippine military personnel and civilian infrastructure on the island of Leyte, the Philippine government has launched a response against the rebel forces. It has been months since the so-called "Waray Confederacy" took control of the city of Ormoc and drove out various opposition groups, such as local jihadist gangs, out of the city and assumed a barely recognized governance of the area.

Movements of Phillipino army units, including supposed deployment of elite marine detachments and increased naval activity around the shores of the island have been reported by people still loyal to the Phillipino government on the outskirts of the disputed territories. The details on this remain foggy at best, as the Phillipino military command has yet to confirm any new ongoing military operations.

Meanwhile, the Phillipino Airforce has returned to the skies above Ormoc and elsewhere in far bigger force and numbers. In only 2 days from 2021-09-07 to 09 OV-10 Bronco aircraft have bombed over 8 targets in Ormoc, mainly targeting supposed "terrorist administrative targets" and confirmed military targets. Reports from inside the city confirmed numerous casualties, though the exact numbers have not been revealed by anyone yet.

....

"Another day of patrolling the outskirts of kulsary, wouldn’t be so bad if I got to beat up those shitbird hippie anarchists who thought attempting to disrupt our little democracy was a good idea, but nope they stuck my unit into patrolling the outskirts of kulsary which by all definition is a hick town, but at least it’s quiet not that I like it anyways.

From I heard inside the city the blockade of the city made everyone mad and attacks on CDF barricades escalate and residents are forming militia’s to fight the anarchists and other groups, gotten so bad I heard from a friend inside that the safest place in the city is the Red Light District run by those washed up has been's the Kulsary Bratva, though with the local government that originally hindered them at this point is gone, it’s only a matter of time if their leader is smart that is, takes the initiative and start doing radical and bold moves to get control after all CDF presence is only temporary and at this point Kulsary’s citizens are longing for any sort of control and something that isn’t a bunch of college kids destroying property..."

….

Even with curfew and heavily armed CDF patrols in the troubled city of Kulsary the anti-war rioters which at this point lost any sort of cohesion of anti war rhetoric and have defaulted back into the advocacy of anarchism and socialist policies, continued to riot with some groups taking over buildings and marking them as their turf most of the KPD were either desperately trying to fight and cooperate with the CDF or deserting their post seeing as the situation being grim and the local government nearly powerless to stop the rioting and with rumors of the same communication blackout happening in the city, many felt like the CDF occupation to restore law and order is gonna take more than a month to even secede.

September 6th, 2021, Airspace over Shalkar

As part of the drone program Joint OIA-Arbour industry analysts, for the past few weeks used the XQ-00 Drone to slip in undetected by kahzakstani radar and survey intelligence for the upcoming battle for the Shalkar Region, marking targets of opportunity and noting that back then shalkar was an smaller town now, being an medium sized city with an important strategic railway system connected kahzakstani controlled area's and near an important site for kergikstan to capture, Baikonur Cosmodrome. With intelligence survey completed the other task of the drone was to test it's weapon deployment systems on live targets, which after a few hours of clear and quiet skies, Shalkar was repeatedly hit by near accurate air strikes from at least their point of view a fast moving lone fighter jet thought to be kergikstani Slyusar's. The targets hit were an small fuel depot, a small squad of soldiers and an ammo truck, before kahzakstani could even respond the XQ-00 had already exfiltrated the airspace and back to friendly lines, The analysts were amazed with the new small raw combat data giving even more push for more tests with suggestions for tests conducted outside of kahzakstan being brought up in a secret meeting between the OIA, Defense Minister and the Arbour Industry drone analysts.

The soft battle for the region started, kergikstan made the first official move kergisktan had artillery units bombarded marked areas thanks to intel given to them by kergikstani army intelligence command who in turn recived it from OIA, However in response kahzkastan hit back hard multiple airstrikes on kergikstani logistics roads were conducted multiple times, with supplies and new troops who are being ferried in being among the casualties.

Island of Leyte...
Being no strangers to developing makeshift tech, the FWA's engineers have developed makeshift sonar detectors from salvaged oceanographic buoys. Disguising them at strategic junctions of travel the FWA has been mapping Filipino water patrols along Leyte's shoreline and rivers in order to allow their own boats to move without being harassed.
buoys.jpg

Motorcycle scouts also keep track of enemy warships off the shore and report back any developments to the FWA's high command. So far there's been increased activity in marine patrol craft, most likely scouting for a landing zone for future attacks.
scouts.jpg

FWA troops continue to slowly expand their AO further to the north past Valencia. Most of the small villages they encounter have already been softened up by sympathetic guerrillas, which only leaves the task of securing the area and folding the guerrillas into their ranks as Irregulars.
gm_black_v30004.jpg

Elsewhere that guerrillas have not linked up with proper FWA forces, the situation has devolved into a full-on insurgency. Reports of brutal attacks on government convoys outside of Tacloban City have begun to pop up with alarming frequency.
guerrillas.jpg

On September the 7th, the Filipino government launched a series of surprise air raids on Ormoc and other outlying positions. Casualty figures were thought to be in the high hundreds with some reports estimating as high as 150 dead and another 200 injured. The raids caught FWA forces unaware as it was not expected the enemy would attempt air strikes during monsoon conditions, though an unanticipated break in the weather allowed for precision strikes. When government planes turned their attention north toward the airfield the situation was quite different. The aging OV-10 Bronco's countermeasures were inadequate to deal with the volume of fire from Stingers on the ground, and several aircraft were lost as a result before air forces retreated. One FWA cameraman on the ground managed to capture live footage of one of the planes being shot down and passed it on to Kenneth Farraday to air.
shootdownrework.jpg

One of the aircraft crews that successfully bailed out landed not too far from the outskirts of Ormoc. Despite attempting to evade capture as long as possible, the pilot and copilot were both captured by an FWA search party. The pilots couldn't help but notice that these guys didn't seem like the usual unorganized guerrilla trash. They were locals, not the filthy foreigners the FWA liked to use all the time but.. something was different about them. They looked tougher, more well-equipped. They moved with practiced precision in silence, giving concise hand signals and reacting without a second thought. Just who exactly were these guys..?

New slightly-expanded FWA territory map.

Southern Nykøbing, Denmark.
September 16, 2021

Days upon days upon hours into minutes crawl by as the Androsynth continue to lie in wait for the order to finally venture beyond the very recently vacated hamlet they've holed themselves up in. They impatiently watch as less jets fly overhead and the sound of gunfire becomes increasingly quieter. And yet, unexpectedly, the prayers of many Androsynth are suddenly answered as the war between the NSU and the GDS escalates even further. Other foreign armies, their stakes in this conflict being unknown-yet-irrelevant to the Androsynth, are making their presence known in Denmark and rather violently too; the airstrikes by Venezziolans having been caught on the camera mounts of many CoG helmets.

And then finally, in the middle of it all, came the word to proceed. The Androsynth sprint to their trucks and drive off; tires squealing, almost afraid as if the ever-increasing death count might suddenly peak.

Now the moon rises over Denmark, and underneath it's cover the Androsynth creep around Nykøbing and in the more rural areas surrounding it. But no shots are fired. No order is given to engage. The act of "killing the faithless" has not been declared lawful by their imams. In fact, they even seemingly try to avoid having to engage any of the armies; hiding quietly as they pass by. It's incredibly strange, especially for them, but it's no matter to them. It's no matter at all.

Because why would they want to engage them when there's already enough dead bodies around for the Androsynth to collect already?

NSU ambush points with the bodies of dead GDS soldiers still out in the open, NSU checkpoints that've been destroyed by GDS forces, and even civilians that were accidentally caught in the crossfire, bodies that neither army were able to collect at the time seemingly vanish with no trace in the morning after. Instead, they bleed out in piles on the backs of CoG trucks; streaks and trails being left here and there on the roads around Nykøbing that end up not going anywhere. The bodies of the dead are being taken by the Androsynth; and while taking trophies from the dead isn't uncommon among their ranks, never before has it been actively mandatory for them to do something like this. But, knowing specifically where their orders came from, they know very well not to question the ones who gave them... lest they end up on their slab with a light in their face and a knife under their skin.

Every few days, convoys of North Sea armored divisions moved from forward operating bases in Nakskov and Søllested to the east. Strict radio silence is enforced, and all headlights are turned off. A few North Sea Air Force fighter jets fly high above, combing the sky for watching air patrols or surveillance drones.

On September 14, ferried over the Guldborgsund by NSU warships, waves of mechanized infantry swarmed the area surrounding Nykøbing Falster, attacking the scattered Venneziolan and Samogitian positions in their way with untold ferocity. The attacks were coordinated with several Danish pro-NSU militias, who having been emboldened by the NSU's stiff resistance to the Samogitian intervention, have remained steadfast in their support of a unified North Sea state.

Their lighting attacks are supported by air power and heavy armor. Waves of Leopard 2 tanks surge into the unexpecting Samogitian positions, causing many to flee and breaking holes in their lines for infantry to follow. The main goal of the two main groups: to encircle Nykøbing Falster, push the Coalition's front lines away from the city, and force the Coalition forces inside the city to surrender.

All the while, as the earth erupts in shouts and fire, high above fighter planes swarm like hawks. NSAF F-15s engage with both Ducal Eurofighters and Venneziolan F4 Phantoms.

While the North Sea pilots spoke of the valiant bravery of both their Samogitian and Venneziolan adversaries, only one provided a serious threat. As one NSAF pilot, Lt. Sigurður Magnusson, put it:
“It was only the Eurofighters that really proved much of a danger to us. The Venneziolans could barely keep up with us; their planes are slower than ours, more sluggish, and their weapons and countermeasures are a joke. They told us they had modernized them to be lighter and more agile - could have fooled me. I almost felt bad - the ‘Flying Juans’ were brave as can be. They never left one of their own behind, and they always kept trying to gain the upper hand. If there is a Valhalla, I hope to meet some of them there one day.”

Simultaneously, NSU Special Operations teams head deeper into enemy lines, hitting vital Samogitian and Danish positions such as communications relays, artillery emplacements, and weapons caches. After the first night, the majority have vanished into the forests, leaving behind a heavily damaged Samogitian logistics network, both softening up their current positions and making a counterattack significantly more difficult.

In order to prevent rapid response reinforcements coming by air from Zealand, North Sea Navy anti-air frigates patrol the area, warding off Coalition air forces from Lolland and Falster.

September 16
As of 1200 hours, September 16, the Samogitian, Venneziolan and Danish front lines have been pushed back 7 km from Nykøbing Falster. NSU armored and infantry units have been ordered to halt their advance and dig in, preparing for a likely Samogitian counterattack.
Simultaneously, North Sea Army units have begun moving further into the encircled city of Nykøbing Falster itself, attempting to put as much pressure on the trapped Samogitian units as possible. While those in the city center have mostly held onto their positions, some on the city outskirts have begun to surrender.
