At first he is soft spoken and very shy, but once he warms up he’s very bright and bubbly. It takes him a while to get to this point though.
~History~
This is kind of cliche and I can fix it if needed. It’s all I could think of right now

-Spencer was born and raised in a small town where “everyone knows everyone”. Raised as a female, he always felt off around other girls and preferred to play with the boys in elementary school. His parents were rich and spoiled him, but with girly things that he later realized he didn’t want. At around the age of 13, he realized he was trans. He remained secret about this for another year or so, then he decided to tell his parents. Big mistake. His parents were also very religious and didn’t believe in being trans, or being pan for that matter. He suffered for another 2 years or so with verbal and emotional abuse from his parents. One day, he got into an argument and got slapped. He had enough, so he decided to run away.

• personality:
  Em isn't the most socially graceful person, they can be crass and swear and get a little loud. When they get excited, they get very animated and don't hide their reactions. This can be a mixed bag, especially if their reaction is negative or angry, as they feel and show their emotions in a big way. They have a bit of an anger problem that they try to hide when it is towards they love but is explosive towards anyone else and has gotten them into a few scrapes throughout their life. They are very against conforming and those that do excessively kind of annoy them, though they can understand the desire to fly under the radar (as someone who has never been able to, it is an alluring concept).
  
  To Em, the most radical thing is kindness. They unapologetically love others who people might not see the beauty of. There are exceptions to that, of course, if you are cruel to others or do something hateful to those that they love. Despite how jaded they could be with the outcome of their life, they try to make the space around them an inviting one. At first glance, Em seems intimidating and distant, but they will go out of their way to make your day better or to help you if you need it.
  
  However, Em also has huge mood swings and can be good for a while before having an extreme negative dip and send themselves into a spiral of negative thinking and self loathing. While love and accepting themselves is kind of the core of their outlook, it isn't as easy as it seems all the time, especially when they are constantly struggling with just existing and having somewhere safe to go. Also, traveling alone for so long kind of did a toll on their mental health. They met people but they haven't had a constant in a while. This has caused them to have some unhealthy coping mechanisms.

  Em's father died when they were about 2, leaving their single mother to raise them and their 6 year old sister on her own. While there were struggles, their life was full of love and they never wanted for the necessities. They didn't always get the extra things most children did, but toys on birthdays and clothes for Christmas were enough for them. Their mother was big on holidays, even when the money was tight, and a big to-do was always made about them within their means (this means holiday themed music, decorations that were often reused year to year, and thematically appropriate food when they could), leaving Em with an affinity for them.
  
  They weren't particularly popular in school, and often blended into the shadows, but they collected a group of other misfits as the years passed by. They would all hang out at the skate park or go urban exploring after school and eventually, one by one, all got into the punk scene and learned to give each other piercings, stick n' poke tattoos, and to cut each other's hair and diy clothes. It became a pastime for them to change up their appearance when they got bored and Em was especially good at this, dying their hair every couple of months and getting multiple diy piercings and tattoos, often letting their friends use them to practice on. This lead to Em exploring their gender presentation a little more and discovering that maybe they didn't align with a gender at all and were somewhere in between. They came out to their friends and, while it was new to them, they received a lot of support.
  
  During this same time, Em's mom had gotten back into dating and was preparing to marry her boyfriend of a couple of years, Steve. Steve moved in around the same time Em's sister, Clementine, was leaving for college, so a huge shift happened in the dynamics of the house and the love that was once there grew very faint. Steve wasn't terrible to their mother, but he quickly became very restrictive and demanding and negative towards Em for their anti-conformity. A couple of years passed as a wedge (named Steve) was put between Em and their mother and they started to grow further apart, leaving Em with a growing desire to come out to their mother but a suffocating feeling of not knowing the outcome and damaging their already strained relationship in any way.
  
  But this didn't stop Em from experimenting with their presentation with wearing all kinds of clothing, spikey punk vests and skirts and ripped jeans and everything in between. When Steve caught wind of Em wearing skirts in public and to school, he confronted them and told them in very clear terms that they would either stop that behavior immediately or they would get out from under his roof. That night, Em packed a bag and went to one of their friends' houses to crash on their couch before deciding that there was no point in finishing school under their current circumstances and if they were going to be homeless it would be on their terms, so they've been train hopping on and off since (a little over half a year). They very much regret leaving without telling their mom goodbye or anything.

~Personality~
Reggie is the kind of person you usually hear before you see, fully equipped with a personality as loud and flashy as his voice. He loves to talk, and won't shut up unless someone tells him to stop or until people stop paying attention to him. He loves being the center of attention, but he also loves to drag others into the spotlight with him by encouraging people to engage in his antics with him. However, Reggie is also a stubborn person and has a bit of a short fuse, getting annoyed quite easily, but can redirect his focus just as fast. He has a lot of pride and will occasionally go out of his own way to do something someone said he couldn't. Despite all this, he can still be rather friendly to new people and enjoys company quite a lot!

~History~
From a young age, Reggie has had the label of a "problem child," and was the kind of kid in an elementary classroom to try and commandeer all the attention during lessons and distracting the other students. Reggie is the 3rd child of a total of 7 siblings, growing up in a proper nuclear family, where his dad went to work and his mother stayed home with the many children. With so many younger siblings, Reggie often wasn't given the time of day from his parents, which he compensated for by seeking validation from everyone outside of his household, leading to falling in with a rather bad crowd when he first entered high school. He began rebelling more and more, seeing any authority figure as some sort of challenger as well as getting into more fights with his peers. His junior year, he got into a particularly nasty fight, resulting in both a scar and a suspension from school. After this incident, Reggie's parents made plans to send him to a boarding school that would "teach him some manners." The night they broke the news to him, Reggie packed up his backpack and left out the window, thinking it better to be out and on the run rather than shipped off somewhere. He's been train-hopping for around a month at this point.

Reggie is a scrawny 5’9 boy with a pale complexion. His clear skin is only disrupted by a mostly faded scar that runs down his right cheek. Reggie looks a bit larger than he is, as he wears an oversized leather jacket overtop of a dirty white shirt. His eyes are an emerald green. Reggie has dark washed jeans with spare bits of white fabric wrapped around the lower parts of his legs, covering the most raggedy part of the jean legs. Reggie’s shoes are run down and dirty tennis shoes. His hair is naturally curly, and he already has a bit of gray growing in, due to premature graying running in his family.

Raya has always been a bit of a free spirit. She has an adventurer’s heart and a dash of wanderlust. A creative and artistic girl, whenever Raya gets her hands on a pen she doodles on anything within reach until all the ink runs out. Usually, this means her arms are covered in designs. But she has left more than one decorated napkin in her wake. She is compassionate, kindhearted, and determined to see the best in everyone, sometimes to her own detriment. Although she is patient, even often when she ought not to be, Raya is emotionally vague. She's generally agreeable, if even passive, and tends to handle disagreements by not handling them. Furthermore, she is often capricious in her wants and desires.

History:
Raya was born into a middle class family in a west coast seaside town. She was an only child and her parents’ darling. Her father was a businessman who often spent a great deal of time in the nearby city and her mother was a pulp novelist. For the first few years of her life, everything was going great for the young girl. She even had a dog. Unfortunately, the summer after her seventh birthday both of her parents were killed in a car accident while on vacation. This devastated the life the girl knew, and she left her home far behind to live with her aunt, Edith. Edith was young, inexperienced, and entirely unprepared to bring a child into her home. She loved her niece and tried her best, but things were tight and she was rarely able of providing the emotional support the young girl required.

Although the two lived together for near a decade, they never managed to bond and a sense of alienation lingered in all of their interactions. Differences between the two only got worse when Raya entered her teens. It was hard for Edith to watch Raya experience her youth when Edith felt like she missed out on most of her own. And while the younger girl was not overtly rebellious, the two had many disagreements, most of which were connect to Raya’s wandering habits and her poor communication. At sixteen, things escalated between the two as Raya spent longer stretches of time away from home and missed out on significant portions of school. Several months back, Raya returned home only for her aunt to chew her out. She decided that was it, so she wrote a letter and left.
