Name: Quentin Poretia
Alias: Statue
Gender: Male
Age: 35
Appearance:

gabriel-yeganyan-corvus-final-1.jpg

Power(s): Statue can, at will, turn part or all of his body into an extremely strong stone. This has many uses: he can completely defend himself from almost anything, turn body parts to stone to make his hand to hand combat more powerful, use himself as a battering ram and so much more.
Weapons: Statue usually fights hand to hand using his powers. However, he carries a stun rifle on his back that can knock people out people if fired at a close enough range.

Biography: One of the founding members of Endgame and its current leader, Statue has been with the organization since its inception five years ago. Growing up with both parents in the military, he became obsessed with the idea of working to combat anything that threatened the human race, and spent five years in the military himself. What he realized, however, was that fighting against other people was leading to more innocent blood being spilled, and so he decided to leave and pursue something better. Since then he has been very opposed to the idea of war - not the combat itself, but the fact that it leads to the loss of normal, everyday people. He thinks that Endgame's job is to stop any threats that those people are incapable of doing.

When he was 28, Quentin was in Sata on an expedition into a newly-discovered tomb. He had been invited by a friend working as an archaeologist in the capital city of Jakaba, and decided to join in search of some sort of purpose. During the expedition, a trap divided Quentin from the rest of the group and he eventually found a book. Upon opening it he had some sort of seizure and was knocked unconscious. Upon waking, he left the tomb and managed to find his way to a nearby town only to discover that an entire year had passed. His powers began to emerge when he accidentally turned his hand to stone and the town, convinced that he was cursed, banished him. He wandered the desert until he found a travelling caravan, where he learned that the expedition into the tomb had been a failure and the entire crew had become trapped inside a year ago. He found passage back to Jakaba and travelled back home to Lestain, where he worked on controlling his powers for a few years. After coming across others like him, Quentin was involved in the formation of Endgame in 992. Now, five years later, he leads the organization with a single goal in mind: protect humanity, no matter what.

The trauma was huge on Rose. So big, that it activated her powers. A few nights after her mother had passed, she was breaking down in her room. She closed her eyes and began to scream, cry, and just let everything go. When she opened her eyes though, she found herself outside at a park down the street from her house. She had somehow gotten from her room to the park and she had no idea how.

The next few years were very rough. Rose’s dad had to get two jobs just to pay for everything. He started to drink more. Lost his mind in the madness of losing his love. He dealt with the pain the only way he knew how to. By taking it out on Rose. It wasn’t a lot but often enough where Rose was terrified of him. He would drink and drink until he got to the point where he couldn’t hold the anger in anymore. Rose would try to hide but he would still find her, always with a belt in hand. As this went on, she would occasionally use her new powers to teleport somewhere away from him on is worse days. He would think that she was just hiding or ran away for the night.

One night, when she was now 18, he was more drunk than usual when she got home. She was hoping he would have been asleep so that she wouldn’t have to deal with him. She had only just made it through the front door when his hand had connected with her face. She laid on the ground, feeling the blood from her nose run down her face, staring up at the monster her dad had become. He raised his fist to deliver what would be a lot of punches she would guess. As he did this, she threw her hands up and yelled, “LEAVE ME ALONE!” When she opened her eyes, he was no longer in front of her. She had no idea where he had gone. Then she heard a banging sound coming from the wall. She moved closer and put her ear against the wall to listen. Then a banging sound was heard along with screaming of get me out of here and where am I. She had teleported her dad into the dry wall. This was her chance. She ran upstairs to grab some clothes and some money she had saved away from babysitting jobs after which, she bolted out the door and to the bus station.

Rose is now 25 and a part of Endgame. She joined up with them when she was 21 and worked her way up to the main tasked force that is over saw by Quentin. She has learned a lot from him and has developed her power more than she would have thought. Through the program, she is adept in hand to hand combat that works well with her teleporting powers

aleksei-vinogradov-kate-daniels-series-www-avvart.jpg

However, when she was around 10 the show fell apart and her parents became racked with debt. Her father, unable to take the pressure of losing his livelihood and providing for his family, killed himself, leaving Tempest and her mother to fend for themselves. At first Tempest and her mother lived on the streets of Balan, bouncing from shelter to shelter until her mother found a job as a waitress. With both Tempest and her mother working, they finally found a cheap apartment in the inner city stay in. When she was 15 she lost all contact with her mother and moved to Teema, where she utilized her power to work in a casino and steal as a side job. At the age of 17 Tempest was discovered by Endgame, and feeling like she could do some real good for the first time in her life, she joined.

One night when she was 15, Tempest left work and began to walk through the cold alleyways that led to her apartment. However, about a block from her complex, a group of four men blocked her path. When she attempted to get past them, they became increasingly physical and she began to fear for her life. When one of the men slammed his fist into her cheek and pinned her against the wall and another began to try to feverishly undress and kiss her, Tempest broke. She shut her eyes tight and felt a rage she had never felt before—she wanted these men to feel the fear that they had made her feel—at first she heard blood-curdling screams, and then, seconds later, an eerie silence. She only opened her eyes when she was sure the men were no longer a threat, but when she did, she found that the men were on the ground dead, faces frozen in horror. Tempest was so horrified by what she had done that she left her mother, believing she would be safer without her, and fled Caniron to go to Teema, leaving her past behind her. Overtime, Tempest began to utilize and control her powers in order to survive. She found easy work as a card dealer at a casino in one of the wealthier sectors of Lestain, finding the obnoxiously rich men and women easy to dupe-without leaving her with a guilty conscience.

All Shula could remember was Claire screaming and crying, blaming her for her daughter's disappearance. She grabbed Shula by the hair and threw her into the car, driving up to the woods where Claire had disappeared. Shula cried begging her stepmother to take her home.

"You took everything from me" Claire managed to say despite choking on her tears.

She went behind her car and opened the trunk to reveal a crowbar, and looked at Shula. When Shula looked back she didn't see a human looking back she saw something evil. Beady eyes behind a mess of hair. As Claire rushed to her stepdaughter with the blunt weapon, the fear of watching her stepmother lose control ignited Shula's pyrokinesis in a blaze of emotion. screaming she set the woods on fire. her stepmother terrified fell back and watched as Shula was surrounded by fire, a fire which seemed to wrap and warp around her and her hands but not burn her. This was the last her family, her mother and father have seen her. Name: Judah Winnfield

Alias: Vega

Gender: Male

Age: 21

Appearance: Judah's costume is quite basic, and quite symbolic. He wears his fathers old leather jacket along with a specially designed shirt and pair of utilitarian pants courtesy of Mirage.
bad_request_concept_art_by_jamga-d6bt42h.jpg

Powers: Cellular manipulation - Judah can either strengthen or decay whatever he touches on a cellular level to a degree. Uses of such a power would include decaying materials he touches to dust and or strengthening them. Strengthening and decaying something takes time to accomplish. This power can be used on humans, however it only affects the skin as it is all he can touch.

Weapons: Extendable Bo staff and a pair of enhanced brass knuckles. His power allows him to strengthen his own skin, providing him with a slight upper hand in terms of protection and strength. Judah spends much time tinkering with the various gadgets he is working on, who knows what he will end up making.

Biography:
Born in Caruccan, the poorest district of Brin, Judah was raised by his single father in a run down apartment originally bought by his mother, who he never met. His father, Vega, was constantly absent working odd jobs in order to pay for the small livelihood they held on to. As Judah approached age 10, he began helping his father, accompanying him on whatever job he worked at the time. Judah's optimistic attitude and resilience boosted his father's spirits, and soon the two worked almost every job together. That was until Judah's father took the wrong job and found himself as a pawn in the middle of a local organized crime war. On a routine truck run, Vega was an unfortunate causality of a surprise hit, leaving Judah, 12 now, home alone wondering where his father went. It took Judah 2 days to leave the house in search of his father, only to find his body left in a dumpster. Judah stood for hours, looking at the lifeless face of his father, his only friend, the only person to ever love him. In the hours he stood standing, gripping the edge of the dumpster until his knuckles turning white, he noticed the steel beginning to crumble. The trauma of the situation awakened Judah's Cellular Manipulation, which he regarded as the last thing his father ever gave him. After burying his father Judah resulted to a life of petty thievery and living in the small, rotting apartment his father left him. However, as he approached 16, he started to realize the utilization of his powers as his control over them improved. Soon he found himself entering fighting rings, and oddly enough, he was winning. Judah found peace in beating other men to a pulp, and as the bright eyed child that lost his father four years prior faded away, a hardened fighter took his place. Known as the Jester due to his long and entertaining fights filled with provoking banter, Judah began finding a moderate amount of success. He spent the next 4 years honing his thieving and fighting skills, discovering new ways to use his power and saving up cash earned from his hundreds of fights. The Jester was soon a name known in every underground fight flub throughout Caruccan and rumors of a young man who would as soon kid with you as he would kill you were spread rampantly. 9 years after his father's death by his 20th birthday, Judah Winnfield amassed enough cash to claw his way into the middle class of his district in Brin, vowing vengeance upon the Crime syndicate responsible for his fathers death.

A month after his 20th birthday, Judah retired the man known as "The Jester" and took the money he had amassed and bought a large moving truck. He packed all of his essentials inside it, along with the new gear he had acquired, including clothes, weapons, and a powerful laptop. He was ready to begin his journey of vengeance. As he stood in front of the apartment he had lived in all his life, Judah whispered "Thank you dad... I won't let you down." as he placed his palm to the decaying walls of the rotting apartment. Judah closed his eyes and pictured the individual cells of the building separating, and in a massive effort totaled the building in a matter of 10 minutes. Judah jumped into the moving truck and pushed the gas pedal, and oddly satisfied grin across his face and a burning drive in his heart. He drove to the outskirts of Brin, where he parked the truck in the treeline, connected to a power pole, siphoning electricity. Judah took a moment, and looked around the small box he now found himself in. "Am I god damn crazy?" he thought for a moment. But in that moment of doubt his father's cold, dead eyes stared at him. He unsheathed the knife he kept on his person and carved the name "VEGA" sloppily into the wall. Judah let out a deflated sigh, and opened the back door of the truck. He leaned out, staring at the city he had left behind. The city which forsake him, and said one thing.
"You all will know the name, Vega."

(( Hi! you haven't responded to my post on the original interest thread (though it has only been a few hours so no worries) i took the liberty of writing this. I hope you don't mind me naming the district, That can always be changed. Thanks! ))

Thanks! ))
Accepted! Some of your text is white though and I had to highlight it to read it, could you please change that at some point?

Its_Just_E Its_Just_E I just realised that you mentioned New York City in your bio. I forgot to mention earlier but if you look at the lore page Endgame isn't based in the real world, there's a number of countries and cities there for you to use if you so wish, or you could keep the location general and vague. I'm updating that page with some more detailed information at the moment if you want to wait.

king5ter king5ter How many characters will there be in total, and when do you imagine us starting?

In terms of total characters I'm not sure, people can join at any point so it might grow. If you take a look at the OOC thread I posted there a while ago to say that I'm currently updating and adding to the lore page, and once I've done that I'll be making the first post so that we can start.

what is everyone's place in endgame, since i'm assuming these are the starting members, will there be any backstory written for that or will it be divulged as the story goes on

Name: Myra Volkov

Alias: (The) Cambiante

Gender: Female

Age: 23

Appearance:
Cambiante_Final.jpg

Costume: Rather than the gaudy colours and flamboyant designs most heroes chose to model their suits after, Myra has taken to a more utilitarian, military aesthetic that often leaves people wondering if she's actually a part of the team. A simple grey ballistic mask does wonders to hide her identity when needed, though she's known to be a bit less than secretive about her identity.

Powers:
Weather Manipulation - Myra is able to coax certain weather conditions into existence, anything from a gentle breeze and light rain to a miniature hurricane can be called and directed, though she can't control much beyond the general area these conditions affect and these changes take some time and considerable focus to summon. Her slight obsession with technology and electricity in general have led her to focus her training on creating intense flashstorms, which bring powerful lightning strikes that could fry nearly anything, but are utterly uncontrollable and even less predictable.

Static Arena - While not really a power, this particular gadget allows Myra to more effectively control the storms brought on by her weather manipulations by creating a large static dome around the area the device is placed. This dome reaches several stories high and circles roughly half of a city block. While mostly used to limit the damage her storms do to the surrounding area, the arena is also effectively impassable while it is active, making it an effective way to lock down a fleeing opponent.

Weapons:
Despite her willingness to use her powers to often devastating effect (and history of doing so), Myra despises the thought of actually fighting another person, and normally refuses to use a weapon. She does, however, carry a high-voltage stun baton for when fighting becomes less of a choice and more of a necessary evil.

Biography:
Being one of the newest members of Endgame and, arguably, one of the most destructive ones, Myra has more than a bit to make up for after her first few attempts at the hero business ended in complete failure. Her unpredictable and dangerous powers have landed her in more than her fair share of trouble with the higher members of Endgame, specifically Poretia -Statue-, who hasn't exactly taken too kindly to her, especially not after a slight misjudgement on Myra's part led to one thing, then another, until finally a fairly sizable chunk of the Endgame training facilities were completely flooded. It really wasn't quite as bad as he'd made it out to be. Besides, it wasn't exactly her fault. She only started the storm, it growing completely out of control wasn't part of the plan. She could have managed that storm just fine anyway if he hadn't refused to let her 'keep mucking with the sky'. She'd always been a bit of an oddity in the... Unnatural community. Born along the pearly beaches of New Marland, she would go on to live the first few years of her childhood among the comfortably warm rays of sunlight that had made Queen's Bay famous in the first place. She had what some would call the perfect life, lounging beside tourists from nearly every part of the globe, living a life of comfort in a sizable home with her loving father. Her mother had always been a bit of a sore subject, but her father never dumped even an ounce of blame on her for the complications her mother had faced throughout her pregnancy, not even for the one that had claimed her life.

It was a wonderfully easy life, but the Volkov family were nothing if not adventurous challenge-seekers. They grew bored of their endless, seemingly repeating days beside the beach. Even their weekly trips in and around the local waters became a repetitive slog. Whether it was some old bout of homesickness or a simple desire to see what the other side of the world had to offer, Myra's father had set his sights on the frozen lands of Yalasantia. Myra was no older than eight when she left her home for good, her brilliant gaze locked on the far-off shores of a new adventure, and what an adventure it would become. For a time, things were good. Myra's father abandoned his old love of fishing to join the local police force, where he made just about enough money to land them in a fairly respectable apartment. he did his best to be home whenever he could, but his hours were long and his days hard, which left his young daughter mostly to herself. She never minded, in fact, she grew to love the solitude of her new world. It was much more relaxing than the bustling life she'd left behind. It also gave her more time to explore what she'd kept secret from everyone but herself for so many years. She always knew she was unusual, strange, even, but it didn't hit her just how unusual she was until one night, one dreadful, frozen night.

It was a night much like any other, or so it seemed. Sure, it was a bit colder than normal, and the streets had been abnormally quiet, but there was nothing particularly alarming about that cold evening. That is, until the silence finally broke and the storm came sweeping out of every door, into every street. A boiling anger had finally spilt over into rage, and the people of Myra's normally peaceful suburb were out for blood. It had all started with a few questionable things coming to light about the local police. Videos of officers beating unarmed men, kicking surrendering thieves, even threatening innocent people into giving up their money or whatever else they had. It was vile. A sickness had claimed the hearts of those who were tasked with protecting the weak. They became greedy, acting more like a gang than anything else. There were still good officers, good people, but their cries for justice were always silenced. Anyone who dared speak out about the problem would either wind up in a casket or could be found in the local hospital, their bodies so broken they would likely never move again, let alone walk or talk. It had gone on for just over a year, and now was the time for revenge. People swarmed into whatever alleyways they could fill, pressing up against each other in a mass of desperate anger as they marched against their oppressors. They held nothing back, and when at last the hammer fell, neither did it. The good men, the ones who had never lifted a finger against their people, were sent to the front, armed with nothing but a shield and the grim look of helplessness. They would be the first to fall when the storm raged forth again. The corrupt and the decadent took their places as far from the conflict as they could, arming themselves with weapons clearly more suited to a war than a riot.

When the people pushed just a little too hard, all hell broke loose. The roars of the abused mingled with the panicked cries of the abusers as the crowd surged forth. It took only a second from the first flash of gunpowder, the first pop of a gunshot, the first wail of death for the chaos to completely overwhelm everything. Bullets tore through everything, with no regard for allegiance nor uniform, people fell and fought and ran and hid and cried and died. It was all too much for Myra to handle as she watched from her apartment's foggy window. Somewhere down there, her father had fallen, somewhere down there was the man that had put a bullet through his head. That terrible thought was enough to break the girl, and it was then that her powers were truly unshackled. As her tears came, so did the rain, hard, fast, and solid as any ice. As her wails of horror escaped into the night, so did the rumbling of thunder. With each blink came an arcing bolt of electricity. With each passing moment the torrent grew wilder, the winds stronger, the hail harder. Myra would never see the blood red sun that rose over that graveyard of a street the next day. She had made her escape as soon as the devastation had stopped, she ran, ran from the hell that she had made so, so very much worse. She took to the shadows for years, never daring to face her roll in what became known as the Blood Rains of Jania.

Through luck or, perhaps, fate, the girl -now a young woman just under nineteen- found herself just within reach of Endgame. With nothing left to do and nowhere left to turn, she decided it was time she face her past, face what she was and what she had done, and maybe even start to make up for it. It was hard, keeping her part in that terrible night a secret, Statue certainly had his suspicions, but over time she learned how to better control her power, and has been working towards the honour of fighting beside the true heroes of Endgame ever since.

((So, I may have gone a wee bit overboard there. Ah well, too late to change that now! Howdy! Hope you don't mind me dropping in here without so much as a hello, I got excited. Never been a superhero guy, but good god did Incredibles 2 get me pumped up to give this a shot! Oh, and I hope you're chill with me dropping in some backstory between characters, I just thought it would make sense that they've met, at least in passing. Can totally be changed if you'd like!))

Bio:
Ase grew up in one of the poorer portions of Caniron. She grew up surrounded by conflict; they may on the borders of a civil war but their were many fights on the street between the poor and the rich. The two sides carelessly push each other almost as if to try and cause a civil war, with the constant fighting in the streets and the growing death count it is a surprise that it isn't one yet. Ase could tell even from a young age that the thin ice that is preventing the war wouldn't hold forever. Her parents knew this also so they bothered none to put a filter on when they spoke ill of the rich and the leaders whom were the ones 'making it unfair'.

Unlike most parents at this time hers were pro for the war, wanting to get out there and make things 'better'. Her parents weren't bad people, even if they did take parts in the jumping of the rich, they'd help others without much resistance any time...just only if they weren't the rich. They didn't want to force Ase to join the fights so they made sure she new her future was her decision. Ase knew this of course, but she wanted to make her parents proud. So, she decided to join one of their jumpings.

As you can expect jumping didn't go well and left her parents crippled permanently. Ase managed to escape with the distraction her parents made, however she wished it was her instead of her parents. After that day her home felt bigger and colder for her for some reason. Her mother being bedridden and her father with skin burned so bad he could barely walk. She spent a while taking care of them but she was unable to pay for her family alone if she couldn't work.

With regret she got one of her parents friends to care for them while she went to find work. She ended up becoming a bodyguard for a group of explores and began travelling with them, sending most of her money over to her parents who had all but lost hope. On one of the adventures she stumbled upon a engraving telling of a statue that gave you the powers of miracles, this caught Ase's attention, maybe she could fix her parents!

She began looking for it on her free time with the explores and in private found the statue. She had found it one night that she had snuck off from camp. She picked up the statue and began to exam it wondering how this could help her. A wave of dizziness passed over her causing her to drop the statue breaking it, swearing she began to gather up the shards. While picking up one of the larger shards she nicked her finger, causing blood to splash on the shard. To her shock the wound began to heal. She was baffled by it but decided to brush it off as seeing things from whatever illness is making her dizzy.

She collected the rest of the shards and began to make her way back to camp, using the walls for support. Her dizziness began to increase causing her to feel like she was going to vomit. And she did. Her eyes only saw black and she collapsed suddenly.

She woke up in camp confused thinking it was a dream until she was told that she was found collapsed outside the camp. Ase was even more confused after finding out that she had no illness. It wasn't until later that day when she accidentally healed one of the adventures cuts that she found out she had gained powers. She quickly explained the situation to them ecstatic that she could help her parents. The adventures weren't to happy about her stealing their loot and fired her(not that she cared to much).

After being fired she went back home ready to make her parents hole again, only to be met with something horrible. Her father had passed away a few nights ago due to his old wounds. Ase was heart broken along with her mother but was determined to at least help her mother. Her mother refused however, to many's surprise. She didn't want to be healthy when her husband would never get the chance and told her daughter that she would be fine. Ase begged her in tears to let her help her so that she didn't meet the same fate as her father. Her mother still refused.

Unsure what to do with her life anymore, knowing of her mothers unavoidable death, she traveled to Brin. When she got their she had no idea what she was going to do and began to live her life with no hope for the future. She spent her days in a bed in a rented room, slowly using up her remaining money. She eventually ran out of money and got kicked out. She began to wonder the streets aimlessly when she was suddenly jumped by a group of men. Having taken her by surprised and when she was in such a poor mental state they caught her easily. She tried to get free but she couldn't do much.

Suddenly a man jumped to her rescue, saving her life. He managed to beat them however it left him wounded. Ase offered to heal him since he refused to accept any sort of reward, and he accepted. She healed him with her powers to his surprise, and he looked down at her work in awe. He then offered her to join him, saying he was a leader of some small organization of heroes called Endgame. Ase accepted as a way to pay him back for the duty he did to her on that day.

Ase is one of the original Endgame members and one of the oldest. She has taken a sort of mother role for the others and makes sure that they are taken care of. She would give her life for any of them and would do anything to repay Quentin for his kindness.

Name: Penny

Alias: Stained

Gender: Female

Age: 27

Appearance:
tumblr_p6of1fsYAD1spo62lo1_1280.jpg

Hair usually down and brushed to one side when off duty. When using her powers, multicolor abstract tribal tattoos appear on her skin. When she shaved the sides of her head, the tattoos appeared to grow to cover the newly exposed skin.

Powers: Ergokinetic Constructs; can create and manipulate energy constructs, including simple objects like bladed weapons or more intricate objects. All her constructs have a multi-colored, stained glass look. It requires concentration and constructs can be destroyed with enough damage.

Weapons: None. (Not allowed.)

Biography: Not much is known about the exact origins of the person known as Stained. The best that has been determined is that she was born in Caniron and displayed her powers at an unusually early age. She was taken from her family and placed in a special program for state controlled super soldiers. Here, things get muddy. All that is truly known is that during this time she was outfitted with some sort of control chip and that she ended up being acquired by private “investors”. Stained, as she became known, started as a bodyguard for an international banker for a time before his death by nature causes, when she was shifted to a “on hire” basis for select clients, acting as a hired killer. With the rise of Endgame, most of her jobs became acting as security and muscle versus the new organization. Approximately 3 years after Endgame’s formation, an attempt to capture Stained and her controllers ended with Stained sustaining massive head trauma. She physically recovered quickly, but began behaving erratically. Seeing her as damaged goods, her controllers took a generous bid for her from a mad man who kept babbling about the old gods. Stained seemed to gel well with her new owner as he prepared to cleanse the world to summon the Ancient Ones. Things came to a head as Endgame was called in to prevent the mad cultist from setting off a WMD. With a force field keeping most of Endgame at bay and Stained dealing with the few that made it in, the cultist was preparing to set the device off when Stained apparently had enough and killed him. She disarmed the bomb and then surrendered to Endgame, asking if they had a job opening. At first she was sent to a variety of facilities looking to contain and rehabilitate her, but each time she escaped and ended up at Endgame’s doorstep, repeating her desire to join. Eventually, about half a year ago, she was accepted in as a probationary member at the behest of her remaining therapist. She has been kept off combat missions and has an ankle tracker to keep tabs on her. As people got more comfortable with her odd ways, she started calling herself Penny when not on the job.
Due to her good behavior, Stained was assigned to Taskforce Ruby. Her somewhat unsettling grin when accepting this order worried many...

Sample: (sorry for the length, but I had an idea I decided to run with).
Stained twirled, her sword constructs slashing dangerously close to the Endgame agent who managed to penetrate Father Malgon’s force field. Since her head injury, her fighting stasyle had become more chaotic, yet not losing its efficiency. She ended her twirl with a double stab forward, which the agent barely sidestepped. That over commitment to the attack left Stained vulnerable to a counterattack, which the Endgame Agent took advantage of. Taking a blow to the head, Stained went sprawling to the floor, her constructs fading as her concentration was broken.
She struggled up as the Agent ran past her to get at Father Malgon. She wiped at her nose, her hand coming away with a streak of blood on it. She stared at it for a moment then started giggling. Half turning , she lashed out with a hand, a chain construct forming link by link in a blur till it wrapped around the Agent’s leg. With the giggle turning into a cackling laugh, Stained yanked the Agent off their feet and dragged them back. With her target sliding into range, Stained formed a sledgehammer in her free hand and swung it. The Agent rolled out of the way, the hammer leaving cracked ground where their head would have been.
Dispelling both the hammer and chain, she slammed both fists into the ground, causing energy shards to erupt from the ground in a line towards the Agent. Using their powers to shatter the incoming shards, the Agent was body slammed by Stained who came charging through the debris of their powers colliding with reckless abandon. The two fighters went down and grappled before the Agent got the upper hand with Stained gasping for air in a submission hold.
“Enough!” Father Malgon bellowed, sending out a blast of crackling energy.
It hit the Agent in the side, causing them to lose muscle control. Stained twisted out of the hold and scrabbled away as the wounded agent convulsed.
“Your failure has tainted you, child!” The mad cultist admonished Stained. “Finish the wretch and then you will be cleansed! Purified to take your place at my side as I call upon the old gods to cleanse the rest of the world!”
The Father turned to finish the army I g sequence of his stolen weapon as his follower formed a knife from her power. She looked over at the cultist, her face oddly blank. Her gaze turned to the Agent who was still trying to regain control of their muscles, an appraising look in her eyes. After a moment, she let out a hissing “tsk” sound with a shake of her head.
“I’ll pass.” She said with a smile spreading across her lips.
It took a moment for Father Malgon to register this defiance.
“What?!?” He roared, turning away from his weapon.
He turned in time for the energy knife Stained had thrown at him to embed itself neatly into his chest. A look of shock spread across his face as he slumped to his legs.
“Why..” he managed as he reached up and touched the foreign object in his torso.
“I’ve worked for a lot of people who just didn’t get it through the years.” Stained said with a laugh.
She briefly glanced at the Agent and gave them a playful wink.
“But you, Malg-y, are the worst.” She continued in a sweet tone as she advanced on the cultist. “You miss the fun to be had here and now, caught up with your dreams of a world after your own shriveled little soul.”
Stained stopped in front of Father Malgon, crouching down to the level of his head. Tearful eyes of the dying man looked into the grinning eyes of his killer.
“Slime balls like you think you know better than the rest of us and still act all surprised when you get snuffed out. Because you miss the point.”
With a wave of a hand, the construct in Father Malgon’s chest disappeared.
“But I wouldn’t want to have me droning on and on to take up all of your final moments, so I’ll just sum up with have a good death and better luck next time.”
Stained gave the man a kindly pay on the top of his head before shoving him out of the way, leaving him to expire on the floor. Cracking her knuckles, she set to work disarming the WMD before deactivating the force field to let the rest of the Endgame team in. They found her standing beside beside her former master’s cooling corpse.
“Hey! Long time, no see.” Stained greeted with a manic grin. “Well, some of you. Anyhoo, your buddy on the ground over there is gonna need some medical attention, but should be fine otherwise. As for the Father-“
Glancing down at the dead body beside her, she gave a non-committal shrug.
“Eh, you might be able to resuscitate him, but he ain’t worth it.”
As the Endgame team fanned out and surrounded her, Stained carefully got on her knees and put her hands behind her head.
“So, my weekends are clearing up.” She said, a mad chuckle building inside her. “You guys got any part time positions that need filling?”

He currently goes by the alias Red Rover but claims he will go public with his identity when he has done enough good to repair his family name.

As Theo stared down the Short drunk man who was currently approaching Joey with a look of pure anger. Likely having just discovered Joey took his beer off the bar when he wasn't looking. "One sec Kat," he said to the girl he was talking to while rising to position himself between his oblivious friend and the man now stopping for a pool que. Noticing the guy now armed Theo puffed out his chest and widened his shoulders trying to look as intimidating as possible while he said "Hey its not that serious bro let me ge-" he started to speak but was cut off by the pool que cracking in half on his jaw. Whoa...i must be hammered. he though to himself because not only did the blow only mildly sting but it barely caused him to stagger. The drunk assailant attempted to continue his attack but Joey had already whirled around with a curled fist flooring the man with perfect form right Cross. It was glorious but the glory was short lived as the bouncers were at the table fast as you could say "Knockout".

Theo, Joey, & Kat were all escorted out of the bar and told not to come back that night and all agreed to walk Kat home before taking a cab to their side of town. After all she lived 6 blocks away and it was dark. Despite the fact that she had done nothing to be kicked out she was actually pretty cool with it. About two thirds of the way there the loud roar of engines filled the concrete jungle as a half dozen suped up sports cars rocketed past. Kat seemed pretty worked up by this because she hopped into the road shouting obscenities after them so loud she didn't hear the approach of the last car. Everything stood still as Theo's mind struggled to process what was happening. In hindsight he probably made the worst possible choice one could make in their situation. Because with no time to think Theo leapt in the road between Kat and the rapidly approaching car arms open as wide as his stance.
